What a lovely little cafe! Their coffee is really yummy and everything is made fresh. Just what the village needed, a great place to sit for a quick bite, a coffee, and a catch up. Just lovely!

Living in Disley I visit Brenda at Lyme Perk multiple times a week and am pleased to recommend her. Brenda's charm is that she talks to her customers as though she's your best friend - it's like you're visiting her house. I know the shop is due to change management soon when Brenda goes to pastures new (after some well deserved rest), but I'm confirm Lyme Perk will remain Disley's favourite coffee shop.

Food nice but thats about it. I attentive staff rude and basically felt like she didn't want us there. I felt like getting up and doing it myself for one guy. Won't be returning to somewhere that doesn't make people feel welcome. Shame cos could be a great littlehome from home cafe

Brilliant little coffee shop that serves breakfasts with a twist! Can have a normal fry up, Scottish breakie with haggis, tottie scone and square sausage or if you're being good, a slimmers choice as well. Lovely home made cakes and scones. Great coffee including decaf. Owner is a lovely Scottish lady who is always friendly and welcoming.

I normally take my disabled mate to Stockport for breakfast on Saturdays but decided to get the train to Disley and seek out a cafe. When we walked in we didn't get a smile or a welcome so we sat down. On ordering the food, i asked if I could pay by card, a sharp "NO" was the response. When i paid by cash and asked the price, another sharp shrift of "£21.30" without a please or a thank you.The place filled up as we ate so must be doing something right or perhaps its the only cafe in Disley, but i have to say all round a more cheerful approach to the customer would have helped. Food was ok!

Travelling to Lyme Park along the A6, this made a great stop. Good fresh coffee, lovely moist home-made coffee and walnut cake with generous filling/topping. The owner made us feel very welcome, even saying our dog could come inside if he was well-behaved (we declined this offer as he is very well behaved but also very big). The breakfast menu looked fabulous, and included haggis and lorne (square) sausage. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

My husband and I have visited Lyme Perk on a number occasions, each time we receive a warm welcome. There is a homely atmosphere, the owner is known by many locals who pop in regularly. The food is homemade and delicious and I would say reasonable priced, I would definiatly recommend a visit. We have had breakfast, lunch and coffee and a cake, delicious....

The owner / cook / waitress / general all-rounder is friendly and helpful. She serves good home cooked food and uses local suppliers where she can. The cafe is clean and well presented - functional rather than luxurious - but comfortable enough for a quiet relaxing cup of tea and a light meal,The food is very good value and is also well presented though nothing flashy (thank goodness!).Just a nice, friendly place to call in for a drink and a cake - or a sandwich - or a baked potatoe - or a bowl of soup - etc etc etc

At the end of a damp walk we took refuge in cosy Lyme Perk before getting our train home. We all had different snacks and drinks which were excellent. Then the kind owner served a birthday cake, which we had brought with us, expecting to share in the countryside. She lit the candle and delivered it after our mains had been eaten to give the birthday girl a surprise. Thanks so much, not every cafe would have happily served a customer's cake in their cafe.

While waiting for some work to be done at a local garage in Disley, Me and my girlfriend decided to grab some lunch at a near by cafe, Very Pleasant lady served us, Very nice looking place and the breakfast we had (only a small breakfast) Hit the spot. It was exactly what I wanted a Home Cooked Breakfast. It wasn't greasy wasn't full of fat it was perfect. I will definitely be going back here soon.

The bestest caff in Disley by some way, and probably as far as New Mills and High Lane. The coffee is great and the cakes are all super tasty. You can get a bit of haggis too, if you're into that sort of thing. My only gripes would be that the opening hours are a little restricted and butter for teacakes etc comes in those hard little packets that mean that by the time you've warmed them up and then spread 'em the teacake is almost cold. It would make a big difference to butter them before bringing them over. Also, you can't help but get covered in butter with those packets (or is that just me?)To sum up, very good, very friendly, very well worth visiting.

What a lovely find. With more miles to go until the end of our walk we were very pleased to find Lyme Perk Coffee House. DELICIOUS, home made cake perked us up and the coffee was equally good. The coffee house was spotlessly clean and welcoming. The owner was lovely to talk to and the talented baker of the superb cakes we'd been enjoying. We will definitely return and we encourage others to frequent this coffee house asap! Martha King

The Yellow Broom is best described as a blend of pure elegance with a splash of sophistication. The setting is undeniably beautiful, complemented by a warm welcome from the staff, who are clearly well-trained in delivering exceptional silver service. The menu offers a well-balanced selection of cuisine, ensuring there's something to delight every palate. The presentation of the dishes was nothing short of exquisite, and the flavors were simply delightful. The staff were remarkably attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant were both appealing and comfortable, enhancing the overall dining experience. The Yellow Broom is a truly first-class establishment that consistently maintains high standards. I highly recommend a visit—you will not be disappointed.

The lady who runs it was welcoming insightful and charming. She gets all her meat from the local butcher which is first class. She was passionate about food and her recommendations dovetailed beautifully. My sister ate the mushrooms on toast, which she gave me to try. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection and the sauce was a perfect blend of flavour and consistency. They were really good, the lady who sat next to us has been coming for years and also recommended them, it was easy to see why. I myself had the brie and bacon ciabatta with chutney. The chutney was cooked in a slightly curried sauce which was lovely. Although I would have liked a slightly sweeter sauce maybe blueberries to cut through the mild salt in the bacon and brie but it was excellent none the less. Three breakfasts and pot's of tea for £14 per person was incredible value. I finally remembered years ago taking my daughter here for her birthday lunch and she kept asking me to take her to the place with the train running overhead, I couldn't remember at the time but she'll be overjoyed to hear I've found it. Fantastico, grazie.
