Lux Cafe in Harrogate

Popped into this lovely cafe for breakfast before a work trial. Food very good, prices very reasonable with daily specials. Free refill on tea and coffee. Lovely staff will definitely be using it again

we get bacon sandwiches from here a couple of times a week on a morning, they are great value for money. Nice sandwiches and very pleasant staff, i would recommend to anyone.

I had to write this review for Lux Cafe to balance to scales. I often go to lux for a good old full english in the morning as i work near by. I was running a little late and did not have the phone number to hand so searched for the number to call in my order. I was shocked to see the sole review posted. The food here is what you would expect from a transport cafe. Cooked, Hot and Filling at a good price.. I dont know what more you would want really. And thats why i and many others keep going back.

Called in on Thursday 6th August for breakfast, nice and clean place found not far off the A1 near to Ripon, just on a Business Park. The two staff were very friendly, but the breakfast wasn't very nice.I have a allergy with margarine so cant eat it and can end up in hospital due to a chemicial in it. So I asked for dry toast which was fine, but then after eating my breakfast and travelling on, I fell ill and was sick, ten my wife asked if I had eaten the mushrooms to which I replied yes, they had been cooked in margarine. It really spoilt the day for us as a family as I was unwell on a planned breakaway, so I wont use this café again and we will stay on the A1 to another town or city.
