We chose here to eat while travelling 400 miles from Aberdeen to Wacton in our electric car. The food was good. The staff were friendly but service was slow. My wife had soup and I had a main. That took about 40-45 minutes. I then had to go and move the car. When I left we asked the staff if my wife could order a sweet. We explained we were rushing. When I can back she still hadn't got it. By the time she got it we had been there a good 1hr 15 min. Disappointing as no notice was taken of our polite indication we were rushing.

Have been before and food has always been good, today the breakfast was good but not amazing. But that could’ve been because the experience wasn’t very pleasant. The younger members of staff seem much more happy and friendly so cannot fault them, but some of the older members of staff that served us were incredibly miserable and rude. Felt like a very rushed experience. The people who served us made our experience terrible.

Visited today with a friend we had a FANTASTIC brunch with wonderful staff in lovely surroundings-will definitely go back unlike a recent visit to a very local 5* hotel who could learn a lot from Crimple

Food was very mediocre. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs working,, assembling the food sometimes with there hands, worrying when you see a chef sneeze into his hand !!!

When we drove into the spacious car park we were not sure what expect as the buildings looked more factory like. We met friends there and had a pleasant lunch there. The staff were friendly. The menu was fairly basic but adequate and portions were large. Overall good value for money.

Nice place but poor value for the quality . Last Friday October 27th I just wanted a sandwich and ordered the prawn and crayfish one. It sounded good. What arrived was a small ciabatta with very little filling and a few salad leaves. By any stretch of the imagination it wasn't worth £12. The following lunchtime at my high end hotel in Harrogate I had a prawn sandwich for 8.95 which was much better by miles

Went to Crimple for Sunday lunch. My wife and I both had the porchetta as our meat option. The food was first class served on a hot plate. I only mention this as cold plates are a pet hate of mine. Best Sunday lunch we have had in Harrogate in a long time

Quite a poor experience with this morning's front of house. Was on my own for my breakfast and asked to sit in one of the booths for more space with laptop etc. Front of house clearly didn't want me to sit there, despite every single booth being free, and eventually said 'you can sit in this one but i'll have to kick you out if it gets busy', before muttering something about me to nearby colleagues. Not exactly the friendliest welcome to a customer, why you'd say i'll have to kick you out to someone who is paying money to support the business is just bizarre. Needs to work on customer service...

It’s a unique atmosphere here, with the really high ceiling and almost Scandinavian vibe, but one which is pleasant for a casual lunch and even their roast dinners at the weekend. It took far too long for the waiting staff to greet and find us a table on arrival, but after that service was quick. The open kitchen is nice to see and everywhere was clean. We settled on the toasties for a lunch which were a good size and both cooked and presented well. The truffle chips as a side are the perfect accompaniment. The staff were friendly enough and the prices okay for the setting, so it’s certainly somewhere I’d consider again!

Love the food and the service is great go on a regular basis But todays experience left me with the thought that I may try somewhere else in Harrogate next time. I changed just a small thing with my order and agreed to the extra charge But when the chef was told he had a tantrum that I was witness to The explanation that they were under pressure in the kitchen is no excuse for making customers uncomfortable.

Rude manager, pleasant but inexperienced serving staff. I’m a regular customer and I wasn’t made to feel welcome or valued. Food is always just ‘average’. But it’s sometimes convenient to come here.

Second visit for Sunday lunch and we were definitely not disappointed. The food was delicious. Thickly cut pork on a bed of mash topped by a huge Yorkshire pudding. The vegetables served separately were so fresh and perfectly cooked. And included a generous portion of cauliflower cheese. Fluffy roast potatoes and extra gravy. Good service too. What more could you ask for?

Went with our family(4 adults and a child) for post Christmas light lunch. A good welcome. And a good atmosphere...but it was Christmas!. Service took some time tho this was anticipated given the time of year and Lucy who served us was very personable and to some degree lightened the event for us, as the food was disappointingly basic with pricing way too high. Very poor value for money.

Met a friend for a quick lunch. We both had eggs and both were cold. We reported the issue and our dishes were replaced but, again, the eggs were cold. We nibbled around the edges of the food but our lunch was basically inedible. Went home starving and had a decent lunch there. They knocked some money off our bill but when I calculated afterwards they had charged us £5 for the plates which I assumed we hadn’t been charged for. Unfortunately we didn’t even receive an apology. Such a shame as the place is on our doorstep but I wouldn’t return. Incredibly disappointing.

Nice setting, good service, very busy and clearly popular. Cooked breakfast was expensive and not very well cooked. Sausages undercooked (no caramelisation) and lacked taste and were grainy, black pudding and bacon over cooked and dried out. Not as hot as it could have been? Manager very helpful.

First visit was to try the place out; coffees, nothing to eat; liked what we experienced. Second visit was for light lunch. Welcomed by member of staff wearing a Christmas jumper, as were rest of staff. Restaurant had a nice, lively buzz. Service was prompt, but waitress seemed not quite sure about our order. Anyhow, we were served our hot beef sandwiches and fries in good time, but had to ask again for one of our coffees. Notwithstanding this, the staff with whom we interacted were all very pleasant. Melt-in-the-mouth beef, just the right amount of delish gravy, and perfectly cooked fries. Very enjoyable food. This is a great place to eat and drink. The clientèle is a mixed demographic, which is nice to see. This restaurant has been added to my TripAdvisor 'Places we like to eat' list, so a return visit seems highly likely.

We put off visiting until January when the queues had calmed down. We returned the toasted tea cake which was stale. It was dry and crumby despite. Cheese scone also tasted dry and really not freshly baked.prices are high considering the competition in Harrogate.

Stopped here as it allowed overnights with Motorhomes if you buy food. The car park was almost full but I managed to squeeze my van onto a space. The staff were very friendly, the food was good, my rib eye steak was tough and dry (medium rare looked good but still tough) thankfully I had beef dripping as a sauce which was delicious, especially when the chips soaked it up. but everything else was really nice. The final bill £152 for 3x3 courses and drinks (3 ales, 2 wines 3 cokes) which I felt was on the slightly high side. I would happily return in the future.

Handy for a cuppa after work or during a shop. The cafe is situated in the simply food store and it’s clients are generally local. Good service and bright and airy cafe. Huge windows mean it gets very hot in sunny weather. No outside seating.

We have passed this pub many times & thought we will have to go there as it looks great especially on a sunny day when you vocab sit outside. We called in for a drink on a cool October evening. A pint & a large G&T that’ll be £15.25 Not cheap & the heating wasn’t on so we didn’t stay for long. We & another two were the only ones in there. There is also no parking other than the pay& display over the road. Not be rushing back.
