Luigis in Reigate and Banstead

The staff was very friendly and nice, their service was great and helpful. I was looking at the menu and decided what I wanted for a breakfast, they did it for me. Nice fresh coffee was outstanding, Enjoyed it! I’ve enjoyed my first visit to this cafe, such a great place for breakfast and coffee. Thanks to all Luigi staff for my first visit! Thank you!

Staff very nice and friendly. Food very nice and fast. Hope they manage to get a 5 star hygiene rating to make it even better. Oh and milkshakes are so good!

Was so good I had to write a review. I’ve not written many in the years I’ve been on Tripadvisor. Best breakfast I’ve had hands down and the milkshakes are to die for! Great value and want to know where they get the sausages are from. Local butcher I’m guessing. Tight squeeze is the only downside, but only because it’s so popular!

The staff are fantastic. The food is brilliant, well priced and excellent coffee. Can say in the many years never had a bad meal. The pasta is wonderful as are the paninis. Its great value. My local, i visit three times a week. Cant fault it.

Lots of eateries in Banstead but for quality, range and pricing Luigi's is simply the first place to try for a cooked breakfast.

Lovely little cafe. Been there for years under various ownership. Honest and very tasty Italian and English home style meals. Generous portions too. Try the chicken escalope with pasta and tomato / garlic sauce. So, so good.

Family and I lived in Banstead 16/17 years ago and discovered this little gem at the start of the high street. It was always bustling and had a lovely lively atmosphere. The prices were reasonable and the panini melts were such a treat (filled, toasted to perfection and hits the spot perfectly). I am very pleased to report that after 16/17 years it is still exactly as I remembered. I just wish Iived closer to Luigi's these days to enjoy the panini melts more often and once a decade!

Whilst we have been on furlough my husband and I have treated ourselves to lunch here once a week they do the best chicken escalope sandwich excellent COVID precautions in place too

Visited with friends and our children, it is a small little cafe but the food was so good. Two of us ordered breakfasts and swapped some items which was no trouble. The food quality is absolutely lovely and i will 100% be back. Service is quick and pleasant.

Only ever been for breakfast so can only review that, but Luigis offers lunch meals (obviously mostly Italian based)and freshly made sandwiches from the counter service which if judged on the breakfast served can only be delicious! Never empty and with good reason, lovely clean non greasy breakfast served in a pleasant easy going cafe which is family run. Good ingredients equals good food and never more is it true than here. Give it a try and see what you’ve been missing out on.

Order the Chef's Special Pasta with olive oil. You will not be disappointed. It is maybe a a tad expensive (about £7) but you do get a very generous portion.

A generous serving- as with all their meals, whether lunch or breakfast Tasty, inexpensive- excellent value for money!! The only problems are that it can be overcrowded at times and the dessert menu is rather limited.

Delicious home cooked food and very plentiful, big portions.The food is always fresh and cooked to the customers requirements.The full English breakfast is a real treat. If you like pasta then luigis knows how to cook a delicious bolognaise.Luigis is also child friendly with the use of high chairs.

Poached eggs and tomatoes on toast, can't go wrong! Cheap, quick service, fresh food. OK for a breakfast stop. Friendly staff, extensive breakfast and lunch menu with specials board. Worth a visit.

My wife and I ate here for the first time recently. I had a full English, which was OK but not the best there is to have in Banstead Village.

one day me and my dad went to pick up a new washing machine due to are other one breaking. When we collected it I said to my dad “ lets get a coffee” we asked someone first they said cafe Nero but he said it is quite expensive. We looked on trip advisor and saw Luigis.we went there and got a coffee and patisseries and it was DELICIOUS for a great price as well it also gave a feeling of a authentic Italian cafe experience.Well worth going!!

What else do you need for a cheap breakfast, that luigis doesn’t deliver... good lunches as well, small but cute restaurant. I would go there every day if I could.

Took my mother here on Saturday for breakfast. Not only was it amazing, but it was at an extremely reasonable price!Good quality produce made the meal very tasty indeed, and the service was with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Very clean, and we even bought a couple of filled baguettes for our tea! Suffice to say: we’ll definitely be returning for seconds!

Me and the family have popped in a number of times over the last year for a quick bite to eat and have always had a great experience. Amazing staff and the food is delicious, what more could you ask for?! We will keep coming back!

OK. No white tablecloths no extensive wine list (red or white) but very quaffable. Looked at the specials board and found pork loin with chips (perfect) and salad - tasty and extensive.

I take my little one here after nursery most weeks... it’s always and absolute pleasure coming for ice creams and milkshakes which are delicious by the way!!! Never tried anything else on the menu, but the all day breakfast looks really good. If you in the area well worth a visit.

The full English breakfasts really are amazing from here and I pop in from time to time to get a chicken baguette. I've never been disappointed with the food or service.

I eat here at least twice a week and the food is fabulous although I think the salads are too large. The sandwiches are great - well filled and delicious plus loads of choice. The staff are really lovely and welcoming.

Been going here since I was a little child as my Nan and Grandad lived around the corner. I have seen 3 owners of this place and it has stayed the same. Always great food, lovely staff and great prices. My best place for food especially the chef special which is delicious! Defiantly recommend!

I met a couple of friends here for coffee and a spot of lunch. We sat outside so we could smoke and have my dog with us. I ordered a jacket potato with beans and cheese (fantastic hangover food ). The portion size was generous and the potato was beautifully soft and fluffy the only thing is the skin wasn't crispy. I will definitely visit again and try more of the delicious choices at the counter including what looked like a very good Apple pie

We had visited having seen good reviews, the service was slow and seemed disorganised. In particular the pasta dishes - one salmon with a few flakes of fish and the vegetarian - a sliver of carrot and one of courgette were very bad value. Some of the main courses were luke warm too. It didn't come near the standard of other restaurants we visited.

Now that Luigis has changed hands again it's so much better! As a family we used to visit regularly but when it was sold a couple of years ago it went downhill fast and we stopped going altogether! We went at the weekend and it was back to being busy and buzzy and we really enjoyed our lunch! The waitress we had could have been a bit more smiley and she forgot our chips (no apology just pretended we hadn't ordered them) but apart from that it was really good. Great Paninins and wraps. We will go back to being regulars again!

I have been to Luigis on many occasions and each time the food I have decided to eat has been excellent. There is a wide range of food to have from breakfast time up until early evening closing time.As I said there there is wide range of food, hot or cold, eat in or take away. the staff are very friendly and always happy to assist with your personal requirements. The service is fast and efficient.The cost of the meals are very reasonable and the food is always tasty and well prepared.I can only heap praise on this small restaurant and fully recommend it to locals and visitors to the area.

Have been here a few times and you get large portions of food for a decent price however the staff don't come across as friendly. Not sure if its the language barrier but I wouldn't eat there if I was wishing to feel welcome.

Keep coming back here with friends. Can be tight on space as so popular but food quality is worth it and quantity amazing. Now also do chips. Omelettes fantastic as are pastas, jacket potatoes and sandwiches. What more to be said except not disabled friendly. I am now only able to walk with stick and can manage few steps. Not sure about wheelchairs. But still highly recommended.

Recently taken over and much better than last ownership. A few years ago this cafe was a MUST. Sadly quality slid downhill very quickly when taken over. Now, under new ownership, seems nearly back on track. Do hope so coz it was a treasure X

Love the atmosphere and the tasty fresh foods. Knew the owners who have now returned home to Portugal. New owners are also very good and have continued serving great food when the previous owners left. Well worth a visit or more.

Wanted to catch up with a friend and Banstead is about the midway point, found Lugis on TripAdvisor with good reviews. Very good choice on the menu the salads were excellent. Good chat, good coffee and indulgence with the cakes.

Although it's not the same with the new owners I have to say it's growing on me again. There's a new menu with some variations, some of the food portions are a little smaller, however my friend had the bacon, Brie and mushroom ciabatta and I had the veggie wrap which we found to be very filling :-). The introduction of cakes are a good idea. My only other wish is that the new owners say a little more than just hello and brief smile. We are pleased we can now pay by card, perhaps the next move would be the introduction of wifi.

Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere, fabulous hosts, fabulous value. A must visit for a lunchtime munch! Varied menu - something for everyone.

Changed hands a little while ago and previous owner was a tough act to follow. I'm pleased to say that with a few bumps in the road they have made it. Staff are great and food honest and good quality. Try it... Ken and Carla work very hard!

Reasonable value and buzzy, this cafe is fine for a Sunday brunch. Although not quite there yet, you can see that the management are trying hard. It's a matter of personal taste but I'm not sure that the decor is quite right (mock, brick, white relief and fancy chandeliers. I would certainly give this place another go; it has the potential to be very good. One tip - with no heater above the door - in the winter months it's best to opt for a table that's situated well away from the icy blast that enters as people go in and out.

Friendly staff make this a welcoming place to visit. Very clean with plenty of seating. Reasonable quality set breakfast that's fairly cheap but the sandwich/jacket range of choices is what really stands out - loads of combos to chose from and the front counter will have you wrapped in indecision as you'll want everything that's in there! Variety aplenty and very appetising.

This place has really gone down hill since I last want there. The waitress I had could nt speak any English ,the fry up was disgraceful,hard eggs burnt bacon, but the meatballs and Spag Bol was fantastic as it always used to be.The whole thing was spoilt too by a loud mouth and whose language was disgraceful, with no comment from the management.I ve been going to Luigis for years but unfortunately not again.

Visited last Saturday for brunch, delicious coffee, nice service, good prices & big portions :) food nice & freshly prepared salads. Pretty busy all the time we were there with people eating in as well as takeaway orders. I will visit again if I am in the area.

Went there today on visiting banstead. Had the most delicious humongous baguette toasted with so much filling! Staff were so friendly, locals filled the cafe and it was honest lovely food for almost nothing! Will be back ASAP.

So amazing, best pasta bolognaise ive ever had! Also incredible jacket potato with a great portion of beans. Filled me up for the whole day I just love coming here. Really good breakfasts aswell and always really good portions. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Basically the perfect cafe!

I went with a friend for an afternoon coffee. There's were a few patrons but not that many. What I noticed was a general lack of atmosphere. The girl who served us looked a bit clueless and more interested in how she looked than in serving us. After a relative long wait we got our lattes....well it had to have been the worst tasting coffee I've ever tasted. I don't usually write a review about a coffee but this was so bad I had to let others know...

The title says it in one word awesome ! Great food , great Team work , great Ambience ! Being going to lugis for some years now and never been disappointed , under new owner ship and if I dare to say it but I think it's getting better and better ! Great food for good value ! we have been going to Luigis for more than ten years. It has always been extraordinary value for money, with fresh food (and very generous portions). Good coffee too. The cafe has changed hands relatively recently, and the atmosphere is not quite the same (without the hectorings of Sara and Luigi's calmness in the face of a storm from Sara) but it remains a great place for a cheap lunch. So much better than the chains in the HIgh Street in Banstead. Give it a try - they do great takeaways too.

Still good for the good breakfasts and short lunches, not quite the same atmosphere as before but still busy, so keep going.

Both myself and my husband will travel here for a spot of lunch on a Saturday often traveling from South West London to go here for a Sandwich - it's that good! The food is just what you want from a café with great taste and value for money and beats many of the other chain restaurants in the area; make sure you get there early as the place is obviously popular with the locals. If you fancy a New York style deli sandwich then I have to recommend the pastrami ciabatta - try it!

Delicious food excellent staff and management and the best valued produce in the area 10out of 10 from me and I'm hard to please

I am a regular at Luigis in Banstead and haven't been let down yet the food is top quality and tastes very fresh especially for a cafe, There is a wide variety of food and if you eat in you get a lovely side salad and coleslaw, I would definitely recommend the chef special pasta! Delicious! Since new management Has taken over there seems to be a bigger selection of fillings for baguettes etc and there are new specials. All in a all a great place to eat in Banstead better than the commercial places along the high street!!!

I love Luigis! It is a great, really reasonably priced and delicious cafe, so much better then going to any other chain in Banstead high-street - this beats them all hands down. Who can complain at a huge panini with salad for £3.50? If you life locally and have never been then go immediately.

Under new management since my last visit.Very quiet for a SaturdayHad the mega breakfast, which was very nice, except for the sausages and baked beans.Unless I'm mistaken I think they are using inferior/cheaper quality sausages and baked beans

This has to be the best value for money sandwich bar/cafe I have ever visited ...... The portions are very generous and the staff are very friendly and attentive. There is something on the menu for everyone from sandwiches and baguettes to mega bowls of pasta, even if your on a diet they have the most amazing deli salads. I love it and would recommend a visit but get there early as they get very busy lunchtimes.

Luigis is a lovely little cafe at the end of Banstead High Street, not far from the Woolpack Public house.I had the mega breakfast, which was 3 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 fried eggs, beans, fried real tomatoes, mushrooms and 4 slices of toast for £5.95. A pot of tea was an extra £1.50.Staff are very friendly without being intrusive and provide a great service.They also offer a lunch menu which includes omelettes, jacket potatoes and some lovely looking pasta and spaghetti dishesWell worth a visit. I'll be back on my next visit to Banstead.
