What a great breakfast! Popped in for a branch last Saturday. The Mediterranean breakfast was suggested to me…..why not?! So I ordered and got a decaffeinated coffee as part of the meal. I have to admit the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Great combination of veg everything tasty and fresh. The cafetière of decaf was lovely too!

Chose this wonderful place for friends and family to get together to remember our Mum. The cafe prepared a delicious and plentiful afternoon tea, variety of sandwiches, mini quiches and cakes with tea in real pots with real china cups and saucers. Special provision for the gluten intolerant member of our group. Felt really comfortable at old fashioned tables. A few of us may have eaten too much cake!

Met a friend for a coffee at 10am- they didn’t have any bread to make toast. Two or three cakes/ scones in display case but were wrapped in clingfilm so not freshly baked today. So ended up just having tea in the sun outside after wiping the wet seats. Seems most people come for a fry up breakfast. Three members of staff but not very welcoming, apologetic or smiling. Pity, such a lovely cafe with artwork for sale displayed on walls.

Had seen many good reviews about the cafe and thought let’s try. The interior is very cosy and menu quite substantial. Food is very tasty and freshly prepared. It took a while but was worth the wait. Will definitely recommend and return.

Delicious mushrooms on brown toast and top Americano for £3.80!? In London that's pretty amazing! Locally sourced food on offer eg East London sausages and bacon, eggs are free range, lovely looking home made cakes and a classic English homecooked hot lunch menu. Atmosphere v friendly, local workmen, mum's group, singles with laptops - basically everyone! Lots of local info leaflets and some fantastic artwork on the walls. If I had just moved into the area this would be my regular for sure!

Lovely visit! Thank you to the lovely attentive staff. Our breakfast was tasty and hot: the home-made hash brown and the superb hot buttery toast were highlights. Great for parking too.

Just had a lovely bacon sandwich and a top cup of tea and 10 unexpectedly restorative minutes in this simply lovely cafe, there are lots more interesting menu options on offer - lovely looking roast veg etc, but I just fancied a little bit of ciccio (if I've got the spelling right??) Can't believe I've never found it before. It will become my new Christmas tradition, pick up a tree (lovely Lancaster's next door gave my nursery School a very nice deal on a growing tree) and steal a few minutes with lovely people! Thank you!

Very relaxed. Builder or banker place. Parking is OK if you are careful. Sausages superb. Not a silly "new" E17 place.

Petit restaurant familliale. Ne vous fiez pas à la devanture. L'intérieur est décoré retro british, très mignon. Accueil excellent, nourriture home made. L'english breakfast est excellent. Tous les ingrédients sont frais. Allez-y les yeux fermés !

We'd seen this place on a google search for places to eat near Walthamstow station; it was easy to find and we are so glad we chose to go there. We were both starving, so opted for the set breakfast (option 2) which came with bacon, sausage, mushrooms or tomatoes, homemade bubble (crispy fried potato and onion fritter), fried egg, toast and a tea or coffee, all for £6.95! It's a busy little place, so we were pre warned that there would be a little wait for food; we don't mind waiting if we know we have to and it's always nice to be told before ordering. The lady serving was really apologetic about us having to wait, but we really didn't mind. The food was freshly cooked, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Sadly, we were just passing through, but we would definitely visit here again if we were in Walthamstow.

I've visited this place 4/5 times and every time they have run out of staple food items and so you can't order what you want. I kept going back because I really wanted it to be good (I live close by). Once I tried ordering three different things and they couldn't do any of them! But once the food arrives it is nice. Not really worth the hassle of going through the menu trying to find what they actually have in though.

Friendly staff, huge (actually slightly bewilderingly large) range of breakfast options but the build your own breakfast is amazing value - five items and a cup of tea/coffee for £5. Sausages and bacon from the local butchers, perfectly firend egg and mushrooms topped off with homemade hash brown. Even has a few seats outside for the rare sunny morning. It's a well-kept secret around here but probably won't stay so for long.

Comida encantadora.

My partner and I enjoyed having breakfast here with my bro-in-law & his wife this morning (they’d not visited beforehand). We have been visiting his local café regularly for three years and the staff always remember us with a genuine smile & warm welcome. Their mega breakfast is delicious but they have such a super menu selection you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to just having breakfast! Recommended as it’s good value for money. The only downside is how popular it can be, meaning finding a table can be pot luck on a busy Saturday morning. Thankfully we grabbed the last available table this morning. Thank you to the Silver Spoon team.

Delicious Sunday roast. We’ve not eaten at the Skimmington Castle for a long time and I’m so glad we went back. The Sunday roast was delicious, generous portions and bottomless potatoes which are the nicest I’ve eaten out. Lovely crisp roasts. My husband had the brioche bread and butter pudding and I had a sneaky bite and it was heavenly. Everything is homemade and you can tell. The service was lovely, attentive without being intrusive. This will be our got to for Sunday roast now.
