Such a shame this morning at Beryl and Peg’s. Love this place and food is still great but such a backlog on the drinks today that after a bit of a wait on food we had even then finished our cooked breakfasts and still no coffee or orange juice or water, despite asking again for the cold drinks even if there was a backlog on coffee. We were there an hour and left without having had drinks. The poor girl doing coffees had to ask other staff three times for help and was almost in tears because everyone in the place was waiting on drinks. There doesn’t seem to be any useful management going on and customers were leaving cross and frustrated. They need to realise that customers will wait for food if they’ve got their drinks. Leaving one team member to do iced drinks, coffees, takeaway drinks etc was ridiculous especially now they’ve expanded to downstairs. Very disappointing. Won’t be dashing back, sadly, if we can’t guarantee a Saturday morning much needed coffee, no matter how nice their poached eggs are.

Just had breakfast here at B&P where, to be fair, i always go when in Reigate on business. just an Omelette and beans, but what an Omelette and beans...it was just excellent..... Set me up for the day......there are lots of options in Reigate town centre (all the usual subjects of high street coffee houses and poss other cafes)...this is just outside near the north side of the Train Station Give these people your money......in difficult times they deserve to survive and prosper.

Unfortunately the service is slow and poor. The majority of staff appear disinterested and don’t want to be there. Poor attitudes to work and customer service. In the past really good experiences but changes to staff over recent months has damaged customer service.

Hadn’t been since Covid but had memories pre-Covid of good food and generous portions, quirky crockery etc. Went with a new colleague for a late breakfast, told her this was a previous favourite for me and my son. Unfortunately we ate in and had to sit at a dirty table. My bacon and avo sandwich wasn’t nice (I dissected it because the bacon fat wasn’t rendered) also the mayo was awful - cheap catering stuff - yuk! I also had coffee which was tasteless. Not good for £9.70. My colleague didn’t enjoy her chicken and bacon sandwich - mushed up filling when she had hoped for slices of chicken and bacon- unpleasant mayo again. We got a dirty look from the girl who cleared our table as she obviously thought we had made the mess we’d had to sit in. We were on call so no time to call this out at the time. This is a REAL shame as this was a go to place for me and my friends and family to have breakfast or brunch. I hope instead of the usual hyper-defensive response, the proprietors take this on board. I hope you return to your standard when you first opened, when it was a pleasure to eat at your establishment.

Just wanted to say thanks to the girls for delicious Sunday Roast. Vegan roasts can often be a disappointment but this was absolutely delicious, the portion size was more than generous and a great selection of vegetables including vegan cauliflower cheese and a lovely vegan gravy. My partner had the roast pork which he also thoroughly enjoyed. A great little cafe doing a fantastic job. Beryl and Peg would be very proud.

First, the good news: I really like the food here. It’s not the cheapest but those extra few pennies buy quality. I’ve never been disappointed by my purchases. However... the takeaway service is shocking. Staff are slow – sufficiently so that I’ve seen people walk off in frustration before placing an order – and often confused about what things are, how much they cost and who’s doing what. There seems to be no structured approach to serving... it’s an unnecessary mess that’s cost the business sales. I’ll still buy my lunch here – like I said, I like the food – but the service is in real need of being spruced up.

We visit this fantastic cafe in Reigate very regularly usually for breakfast sometimes for lunch - it is the most friendly cafe I know - the food is wonderful and their signature dishes like salt beef hash and loaded meatball wrap are to die for - they have homemade quiches sausage rolls scotch eggs pesto and granola - they have now reopened for indoor table service upstairs and have now extended with tables downstairs which works really well - temperature and contact details taken on arrival - visit this gem in Reigate

We go to Reigate a lot, my husband spotted this cafe online somewhere which had good reviews so we decided to head there. He had a full English and I had the salt beef hash. The food was excellent - my husband said it was one of the best breakfasts he had eaten. The food is clearly high quality, the menu varied (lunch choices look tempting too, as do the cakes), the coffee very good, all tied together with friendly and efficient service. It’s a small place with limited seating (decor is nice, love the knitted bunting in the window) but I will be trying to inch myself in there next time I am in the vicinity. My friend and I went here yesterday. Our original plan was to go for lunch but we arrived at 1:30 and they close at 2pm which we did not realise. A member of staff informed us that their kitchen was closing. Fair enough, we ordered a coffee. I told my order to the lady who I believe is the manager/owner and she said “yes of course”. Then when the next employee asked me my order I informed her that someone had already taken it but she said oh no she hasn’t actually taken it. I reordered and sat down. Ten minutes later, all of the employees, sat down on a table and had their lunch- which seemed strange as they had just informed us that the kitchen was closed- and proceeded to socialise. It became clear that they wanted us to leave. As we were leaving, we asked if they had a toilet, to which the owner/manager replied “no” and told us we might find one in the station opposite. I really find it hard to believe that a coffee shop, serving food, with employees doesn’t have any toilet facilities! Is this not a legal requirement?

It was so big she had to take away almost half! They wrapped it up so nicely with a little sticker to keep it all in place. I usually rate this place on good value for money but it seems a little hit & miss. I had toast with poached eggs and avacado. It was very nice but one slice of toast, two eggs & half an avacado for £7 seemed quite expensive. Having said that the slice of toast was quite thick & the dish filled me up but i probably wont order it again due to the price/quantity ratio. There are many cheaper items on the menu so this hasnt put me off going again.

Sandwiches and breakfasts were great, however over the last year or two prices had increased and the food has not kept up.£8 for a full English which only covers half the plate, sausage and egg sandwiches for £4 with 1 egg and salt beef sandwiches for £6 with one slice of beef. The atmosphere and decoration is lovely but its lost its charm and feels like a money trap now.

Popped into B&P's for an impromptu brekkie/brunch. Have only had tea before but decided to try the food. So glad we did, my scrambled eggs were amazing. Fabulously strong tea in a beautifully kitsch teapot and cups. Staff were lovely. Will definitely return.

The old joke runs "unfertilised", but the right answer is at Beryl and Pegs! Eggs and bacon are that tasty, ketchup would be a crime, and that's from a ketchup fan. Super friendly owners with staff taking up that lead so well. They even have delicate breakfast tea for the more subtle taste! Bravo, best breakfast/brunch in Reigate!

A quick lunch before pick up but very average. High prices for a coffee and sandwich. Nothing wrong with food, drink or service but also nothing special. Not a smile in sight.

I wish I lived closer to Reigate so I could visit more often. This cafe has a lovely atmosphere, cosy, friendly and with the loveliest staff you could meet. Fabulous healthy menu but if you fancy something naughty the cakes are delicious. Great coffee, perfect English breakfast on the weekend and a great choice of teas in a tea pot with tea cosy! It;s the little touches that make this place special and explains why it is always so busy! Have recommended to my friends and they all love it too.

Popped into this lovely little cafe recently and what a find!! Despite being busy, I was seated quickly and the staff were so very welcoming. As it was my first time and I was alone the waitress took time to make me comfortable which I appreciated. The decor is quirky and quaint. The service was great but the food........fantastic!!! I had a pot of tea (it was in a real pot with a cosy!) and a quiche salad. The quiche was clearly home made and delicious. The salad was fresh and tasty. I am now looking for reasons to go back to Reigate to visit again.

After walking past i was a little concerned we all wouldn't get a seat, as the place was so busy, but it was a Saturday! and after so many recommendations we just had to try. As we got to the counter, the lady who served us (later to find it was the actual owner) couldn't do enough for us, i did 'hint' about how busy they were, but she took all our orders and personally cleaned, moved tables and accommodated us all as a family. As for the food, well worth the wait, the goats cheese and pepper tart was to die for.Thank you so much, you run such a lovely little business, and my family love reigate and can't wait too return next year, starting with beryl and pegs.

Walked past here four weeks in a row on Saturday morning. Just too busy to bother. When I did pass and it was quiet I bought a coffee and scotch egg. Coffee was average made on a machine but either the beans or God knows what but not good. The scotch egg was too salty to eat. Put it in a bin with the coffee, this does not happen a lot.

Had not been out for a few months due to illness. Staff always make you so welcome and the breakfast is always great.

Delicious Sunday roast. We’ve not eaten at the Skimmington Castle for a long time and I’m so glad we went back. The Sunday roast was delicious, generous portions and bottomless potatoes which are the nicest I’ve eaten out. Lovely crisp roasts. My husband had the brioche bread and butter pudding and I had a sneaky bite and it was heavenly. Everything is homemade and you can tell. The service was lovely, attentive without being intrusive. This will be our got to for Sunday roast now.

My partner and I enjoyed having breakfast here with my bro-in-law & his wife this morning (they’d not visited beforehand). We have been visiting his local café regularly for three years and the staff always remember us with a genuine smile & warm welcome. Their mega breakfast is delicious but they have such a super menu selection you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to just having breakfast! Recommended as it’s good value for money. The only downside is how popular it can be, meaning finding a table can be pot luck on a busy Saturday morning. Thankfully we grabbed the last available table this morning. Thank you to the Silver Spoon team.

Called in this morning for breakfast. The quality and quantity was excellent. Best omelette for a long time. Customer service also excellent. Delightful staff and nice to have a smiling helpful waitress.
