Love Fish Bar & Restaurant in Swale

Place is great very friendly and can have a joke. Franbuca and sheral were great bar staff and looked after us well, Got us a bit hammered too

Leysdown is one of them places where you will see all sorts of people walking around.. myself and my partner went down for a brief visit as we had an urge to visit penny machines with the little one and whilst there we fancied a fish and chips and saw this restaurant next to the seafront and had a fair few people outside drinking and eating. I wouldn’t attend again, the waitress forgot our drink order and i had to ask again and the food was undercooked. What concerned me was that the people cooking the food appeared to be children with one adult supervising them. The restaurant itself had a garden area which was on the river however the clientele outside there was quite something aswell..

We went for lunch nice staff but the chips were very under cooked we asked for them to be put back for a few minutes now but unfortunately they were still hard and anemic.

We visited on Saturday 14th with my son and daughter in law we found a table to sit down at. We didn’t know what to do but were informed that this was table service. Menu was bought and we ordered drinks. They use iPad to do this on but had to put it on twice and ask us what we ordered. We then ordered fish and chips and 1 portion of curry sauce. Food came out quickly but staff seemed to be unsure of the table numbers and were looking around for tables. The food The food was hot the fish was well cooked not greasy and a nice size. The chips are in a metal basket which I understand portion control. It came with what was meant to be a salad this was just iceberg lettuce cut up and cucumber nothing else covered with balsamic vinegar. This was a complete waste. It didn’t look appealing and we wasn’t asked if we actually wanted a dressing. I personally would include a salad unless it’s a proper salad When we came to pay the bill we had 3 different people give us the wrong bill they included children’s menu which was the table next to us this was due to the confusion of the tables. We were then asked to go in and pay at the bar which my son did as they couldn’t get it right on the iPads. Staff are very young and need proper training to use these or a back up of pen and paper. Tables need proper numbering to stop mistakes. Especially as the season is just about to start.

Was there yesterday. We were still eating and was brought bill to pay there and then. Plus two people still eating one being a toddler and they were clearing the whole table.even drinks they were not finished. Made us feel very uncomfortable food was lovely. Same they let themselves down with service.

Was having a coffee trying to order food. Rude staff. Shouting and swearing at me. Proper bad service. Will never go again

Quick trip to leysdown for some fun and fresh fish and chips. Wanted to try the new place with a take away. Took our order without issue no indication of a time to wait just given a ticket. It was a nice evening so appreciated it would be cooked fresh and therefore even a 15 minute wait or 20 wouldn’t be an issue. In the end our food took 45 minutes, a guy in front of us had only ordered 4 lots of chips and 2 rolls and he waited 50 mins for this. It appeared that restaurant customers were given priority, white we waited one person just handed her ticket in and left she couldn’t wait any longer. On top of this one member of staff frankly did nothing the whole time we were there. Food finally arrived we had ordered 1 scampi, 1 cod bites and 1 wrap, the scampi was sadly over cooked but by then I couldn’t face raising it. The location is lovely but sadly won’t be rushing to return despite being local.

Breakfast was amazing clean and tidy and staff was amazing. It is right on the seafront. Nothing was too much trouble.
