food was okay .Service was terrible was waiting about 15 minutes before being served .once served waited about 20 minutes just to receive two drinks . another 15 minutes later the waiter came out and said they had no bread which is fair enough but then had no bagels just wraps . personally think they could’ve come out a bit sooner and not take 35 minutes to say they don’t have something. once we received our we later on saw 5 minutes later another customer had two bagels ,so was either clearly lied to or they couldn’t be asked they also charged us £3.30 per drink when it clearly states on the menu £3.20. once again food was okay but definitely need to improve on customer service !

Terrible service This was recommended by another family member as they said the food was lovely, We sat down with a menu and was waiting for around 20 minutes and more people were entering and got served first even though we were clearly ready to order. I ordered a sandwich and they came out 35 minutes later to then tell us they had no bread so I asked if I could have a bagel as the lady on the table next to us had one, the waitress then said she was out of bagels too so I had to have a wrap, after we began eating we then saw new customers had sat down and started eating and had bagels when we were told that there wasn’t any. We was charged £3.30 per drink when on the menu it clearly stated £3.20. I asked for halloumi along side my wrap but it was not brought out until I had finished eating

We visited Lottie's for the first time for Afternoon Tea and unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. Despite booking a table in advance for a specific time, the café was completely full when we arrived, and there were no reserved tables available for us. We had to wait for another group to leave before we could be seated, which was disappointing. The staff appeared very busy, which affected the level of customer service we received. While the Afternoon Tea itself was enjoyable and the food was nicely presented, it didn’t feel like good value for money — over £60 for three people, which included one bagel each, some churros, a scoop of ice cream, and a drink. Another downside was the lack of toilet facilities, which meant we couldn’t wash our hands before eating — something that should really be available at a food venue. Overall, the café is pretty and the food was nice, however the overall experience of Afternoon Tea was disappointing, especially given the price and customer service we received.

It’s not been my first visit to this cafe for a takeaway ice cream/milkshake or coffee… However I have always found service to be non reactive. Today I was appalled that I stood with my baby waiting to be served while the staff members were complaining about a seated customer who wanted to replace the strawberries for waffle pieces in their Dubai cup. The staff tone was appalling as well as the facial expressions and body language. When I eventually got served I was asked three times to which ice cream I wanted…. Combining the observation and experience of today, I will not visit this cafe again and neither would I recommend it. You get better service in McDonald’s.

Visited Bury St Edmunds today and after a long day of shopping and hide and seek in the abbey gardens decided to treat the family for some waffles. I had a Latte, which was the best i've had in weeks and my children had kinder and oreo waffles. Absolutely delicious. The waffle was light and crispy from outside and fluffy on the inside and the gelato as good as any I've had in the UK. Also the service was friendly and efficient. A very good experience and will go back when next in BSE. Heartily recommend.

This is my favourite place to eat in Bury st Edmund’s, everything is fresh and delicious, beautifully presented food and drinks. I had a Peanut butter milkshake, it was so good and thick as they use gelato to make the milkshakes and I had a Belgium waffle called Banoffee delight which also was so tasty. All the staff are very welcoming and nice. Cutest decor, this places makes me so happy and excited to go to everytime.

We visited Lottie’s over the weekend for some desserts. I am gluten free and sometimes struggle to find a good sweet treat but wow Lottie’s definitely was the best treat I have ever had, I had a gluten free waffle with Nutella, white chocolate and homemade gelato it’s was amazing!! Staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The decor is so beautiful especially for Christmas, the window display is the most beautiful pink Christmasy window I have ever seen. I really recommend this place! Can’t wait to try more and more…

Where do you start? The coffee was some of the best I have ever had. To go with it I had a breakfast waffle with granola. Super! Everything is cooked to order and totally fresh. A small place but so helpful. They allowed my friend to stay as it was raining and she has mobility issues. She was there most of the afternoon with a couple of coffees. Bagels were good too. Will use again if I am ever there.

My favourite place for brunch and something sweet, Lotties is absolutely perfect for everyone offering so many options of different desserts and brunch including savoury options to. The cafe is located near the Abby gardens park a really nice area of the town and it decor inside the cafe is stunning. Service is excellent, all the girls are lovely and Lottie herself is so lovely and welcoming. I had the pretty pistachio Belgium waffle which tasted like I was in heaven it wasn’t to much, it was just perfect so tasty. All the gelato is homemade and so delicious I want to try them all. This place is by far the best in town i recommend to everyone to get down here and give it a try.

Took my daughter here as it’s her (and my) favourite place to go. It’s so pretty inside and we had a really nice time treating ourselves after shopping. Great place to take some nice photos and the food is great x

After years of wanting to try this place, today I finally managed to find the time! The only thing I'm disappointed in is the fact I have wasted the last few years not eating here! From the second we walked in we were made to feel so welcome, and initially we said we were just taking a look, yet there was no change in their attitude and they still made the effort to talk to us and be hospitable. We decided to stay and eat in. I ordered the Caramel Lover bubble waffle (£8.50) but swapped the biscoff for nuts as Im not a biscoff fan. They were more than happy to change it. The waffle was incredibly light and fluffy with a generous serving of caramel sauce, HOMEMADE caramel gelato which was unreal, fresh banana and crunchy chopped nuts. The portion was too big for me (after having bottomless pizza for lunch) but was 100% worth the price. My partner had a latte, served hot and great quality. And he had tiramisu and pistachio gelato, he opted out of a cone and it was served in the cutest little coffee cup! My 5yo stepdaughter ordered one scoop of unicorn ice cream (bubblegum flavoured according to her) and it was served in a dainty tea cup. The interior was clean and organised, tables clean and set up and decorated with a plant and the cocktail menu(which I'll be back for), staff were friendly and attentive, food was fresh and fast, and the price was well worth it. Had the the most amazing brunch at Lotties, the cafe is stunning. Amazing Avocado on toast, really good coffee to. The service is good, really good find.

Lotties is my new favorite place in town, We love it so much and love taking the kids after school, has the best gelato and waffles ever and really good coffee to, everyone who works here is so nice and helpful, cant wait to come again

This place is the best, i can’t believe i have only just tried it. The decor and design is so beautiful everything ready for the perfect picture. Service is very good, everyone so lovely. I had the Oreo milkshake and it was the best i have ever had ever, so tasty and thick. My sister has a coffee which she really enjoyed to and we shared the Veggie toastie with halloumi cheese and the halloumi fries it was absolutely so delicious, you can tell everything is fresh to order which i really love about this place. Thanks Lotties, we will 100% be back to try the waffles.

Had such a lovely time at Lotties over the Weekend. Myself and my family booked for Afternoon tea and it was the best one we have ever had, not only its presented so beautifully, it’s so delicious, you can choose whatever drink you like from the menu and I love the fact you can choose everything for yourself, starting from the bagel fillings, to dipping sauce with the churros (which personally was my favourite) A scoop of the homemade gelato, your choice which flavour. It was just so amazing! We was so happy with it and will really recommend it for a special time.

This place is really so beautiful! The service is very good. I love everything about this cafe, the menu it amazing. Popped in over the weekend with my sister and we both ordered a bubble waffle to go, never tried one before. WOW it was the best thing I have ever tried, it was called the King of Nuts! It was so so delicious, so much Nutella and chocolate! My sister had a fruity one called the Strawberry Dream which also looked Devine. This place is so beautiful from outside and inside the decor is gorgeous. Very disappointed . A party of 9 , went with friends for her birthday we had to pre order our food and drinks. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks which came out at different times and we waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food we had pre ordered! Afternoon tea isn’t worth the money. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

First time trying Lotties this week and I don’t why I never tried it before, everything I had was absolutely amazing in both taste and presentation! The churros taste like heaven in your mouth especially with the white chocolate dip, Unicorn magic bubble waffle my sister had also taste so sweet and tasty! The design of this cafe is so thought well and beautifully designed, staff are all lovely and can’t wait to come to try more on the menu.

Had a lovely brunch with my boyfriend at Lotties this weekend, it was so tasty, I had the Veggie toastie with halloumi cheese it was unreal so so good, with the pink hot chocolate drink that’s tastes not only amazing but so beautiful. My boyfriend ordered the churros with Nutella and a fresh salmon and cream cheese bagel and he is so particular with his food but he loved it. The girls working are so lovely and the owner Lottie was so friendly and welcoming to us. Thank you for are amazing experience in your beautiful pink cafe, can’t wait to come again.

Just popped in for a takeout. Slow and busy. The place is small and packed. We got half a Fierro Roche on top of our waffle which we waited for ages to get. She told us how long it would be after we paid which wasn’t helpful. Everyone seemed to have got the wrong orders while we were waiting. And other negative comments were made from customers leaving. Overpriced. Not once did I see them wash their hands after dealing with money or itching their noses. There were 4 members of staff working and only 1 person actually doing something.

I booked for 4 of us to have afternoon tea on Mother’s Day. We all enjoyed ourselves. I love the twist on afternoon tea, the food was delicious! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The menu for brunch and sweet treats looks amazing so I can’t wait to go back.

Nice place, in shabby chic style. Nice atmosphere. The products and drinks on the menus are spectacular and look delicious. Too bad all that glitters is not gold. Unfriendly staff and rude service. not to mention the pink hot chocolate... it was nothing more than hot milk with a little coloring. Obviously we left the cups full and half full. Prices are disproportionate to what is actually offered to us. It doesn't end there... the place doesn't have a bathroom, so washing your hands before touching food is impossible unless you go outside and go to the public bathrooms. I don't recommend it and we will never go back. Avoid!

Every monts we are visit this restaurant and never disappointed. The owners create a great atmosphere and the best waffles with ice cream. Ignore negative comments . you need just visit them:))))) highly recommend

The best place for food in Bury St Edmunds, everything served in this cafe is fresh and so tasty. The waffles really taste like you are in heaven not to sweet, just perfect and the homemade gelato is so delicious my favourite was the salted caramel. The service is very good, and nothing is too much trouble to change topping on waffles which my niece was doing. The best thing is how beautiful the setting is, eating beautifully presented food in a beautiful setting everything is ready for a photo.

Never ever try their afternoon tea here. Not worth it and service sucks!! Never again. What a disappointment

I came from the US, visiting Bury St Edmunds 30 years after having lived there for a few years as a child. My friend and I happened upon Lottie's and it was love at first glance! But the love didn't stop at the amazing ambience! Lottie's chestnut praline latte was INCREDIBLE!! I would fly back from the US simply to have this drink again! It was so good I also got one to go before leaving. I risked getting a ticket for parking too long just so I could have one for the road! And while I was lucky and didn't get a ticket, it would have been worth every sip! Lottie was so kind and very welcoming. The whole experience was 5 stars! If you are able, you should absolutely pop in and experience this lovely spot!

My new favourite place in Suffolk! I stopped by originally for a takeaway coffee on my way up to the town however when I saw the hot drinks menu, the S'mores hot chocolate caught my eye so I ordered one and it was absolutely amazing!! The best hot chocolate I have ever had. Can’t wait to return to sit inside this gorgeous place and try more from the menu as everything looks amazing.

Rude service came up to us and made a rude and snotty remark. The drinks have about 2 sips in them before they’re gone. If you do get the halloumi fries I’d advise no more salt intake for the rest of the day.

Lovely time in Lotties, we had a lovely birthday brunch, the food is presented lovely and tastes amazing to. Pink hot chocolate is one of there famous drinks and it’s beautiful and tastes beautiful to.

the best Desserts i have ever tried for a very long time! the waffles are hot and fresh and you can have any toppings on either a bubble or Belgium waffle. everything is delicious in this place my favourite waffle is the Strawberry Dreamboat belgium waffle with added Nutella.

What a fabulous trip to Lottieś me and my friends made! The Italian gelato is all homemade and absolutely delicious I would Recommend if you go you have to try it. The place it’s self is just stunning, amazing for photo’s especially for Instagram! Staff are lovely all so kind and professional. The milkshakes were amazing, my bagel was the best I've had, the waffles were light and fluffy according to the rest of the family. The service was personal and polite, price wasn't overpriced, decor charming and an airy feel to the place. Cannot believe we hadn't been before, but being local will most definitely go again.

I'm often in Lottie's because it's just so good. She makes her own gelato and it compares favourably with what I get visiting Italy. The waffles are superb and the coffee really good. I just keep coming back.

Me and my two daughters had a lovely afternoon tea at Lottie’s on the weekend, We absolutely loved it! It was the most beautiful afternoon tea we have every had, Came out so beautifully on a pink stand with bagels, churros, gelato, macaroons and we all got to choose any drink which was included in the afternoon tea. Very reasonable price and beautiful layout. I didn’t know what to expect but I was so impressed and would love to go back to try the waffles as I did see a few other tables with them and they look delicious! Was very busy but it was on a Saturday so I suspected to be but we got the afternoon tea at a good time and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

I made a return visit to Lottie's last Saturday. I was greeted with a warm welcome by none other than Lottie herself. There was a few people in there, and judging by the interaction between them and the staff it has to be all repeat business, so to me that speaks volumes about Lottie's. I had a coffee and the halloumi fries, everything was excellent..If there is such a thing as The Queen of Desserts, then in my humble opinion it has to be Lottie.

Me and friends booked Lottie’s as a private hire for a baby shower and omg it was amazing. Thank you so much to the girls that work there. They were such an amazing help and the food was just amazing. Definitely somewhere I will recommend to all my friends in that direction.

I booked an afternoon tea for my wife and I as I had heard good things, initially we were seated in the window which was nice but then a larger group came in who had not booked and we were moved to a small table near the kitchen and front door, this meant it was cold as the door kept opening and anybody who came in to get a takeaway were just stood next to us staring at us trying to have a relaxing afternoon tea. The afternoon tea itself was not good value, you get very little for the £17.50 per person price, neither of us are big eaters but left Lotties pretty hungry still. The service was very solemn which is surprising from such a bright place selling fun waffles and ice creams, certainly won't be visiting again.

Traveled to Bury especially for brunch here, stood outside for 15 minutes before giving up. I saw they later posted on Instagram saying they had been open so commented on this saying we were disappointed they were not open at 10am and they deleted the comment on Instagram without responding to it.

We have had breakfast twice there when we visited bury st edmunds & can't recommend this place enough. Will be going there again soon for breakfast, we can't wait. Absolutely delicious.

Lottie’s never disappoints. My wife and I make it a habit to stop into Lottie’s every chance we get when we are in town. Most times, Lottie’s is the reason we go into town for breakfast, coffee, or a gelato treat. The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and a joy to talk to. We have had every cocktail on the menu, at least 7 flavors of the gelato, multiple waffles, and their breakfast sandwiches as well. Charlotte, Sophie, and staff always greet us with a smile and welcome us in again time after time. They know that their pistachio gelato is my favorite! See you all next week! Highly recommended!

Very friendly service. In particular a young lady who has always been working every time I’ve visited and it always welcoming and friendly. First time having the afternoon tea for my mums birthday and she loved it. Gorgeous setting & presentation. Pink hot chocolate will always be a winner!Churros were delicious!

Really rather disappointed after my recent visit. Ordered afternoon tea that had be pre booked. This consisted of a bagel, two churros, a small.scoop of ice cream and water. Everything was covered in petals which were highly perfumed and did not compliment the foods they covered. We were rushed in and out and when we went yo pay we were charged £17.50 EACH! Judging by the prices on the menu that equated to 2 churros and a small scoop of ice cream costing £10.50! Absolute daylight robbery. How this can be justified i cannot comprehend. Perhaps that covers the cost of the copious and unnecessary flower petals!

Went With my husband today to try there waffles was told when went to door only serving drinks what did I want. I said two waffle, she said oh wait a minute she got back log at minute as she stands talking g at door t helping there was one poor girl trying to do waffle order. Then she said o I do it she out waffle mixer in. But then walked of. There is no organisation don't seem bothered when there is que. they do t think to put another waffle in machine while they prepare the other with about one strawberry sliced and one dollop of ice cream plus and very small streak of cream. Not worth 6.50 my husband a banana one which had same about quarter of banana if that with a dollop of ice cream in middle. Absolute rubbish if I had not of paid up front I would have said u better keep then. Place is done nice shame they didn't put more effort in to food. Service. Plus one dollop of ice cream and the smallest portion of fruit one straw on a waffle looked ridiculous go to king dessert for same price your waffle has actual got some fruit on
