Fantastic atmosphere for a city centre bar.

I don't typically leave bad reviews, but the service when I was here on Friday 22nd November was awful. The bouncers were unnecessarily rude, the staff inside were the slowest I've encountered in years, and the music is so loud in every part of the bar that you can't possibly have a conversation without shouting in the ear of the person you're with. The only saving graces are that the drinks, when they were eventually made, were good, and that the venue itself with the caves is pretty cool. It's probably worth going once, but don't expect too much from the staff.

The creativity and effort they’ve put into bringing this idea to life is truly impressive. We explored both the bar and the caves, and every moment felt like an experience. From the unique walk-throughs to the carefully crafted drinks, the music, and the quirky details, everything was thoughtfully done and completely unique. It’s a place that stands out in the best way, offering something truly different. Absolutely worth a visit if you’re looking for a memorable night out!

Great little hidden gem, loved the cocktails and aesthetic but the music was awful.

What an amazing experience! Lost Property is so fantastic! The experience is amazing, the staff were lovely and the rum is so good that we've ordered 3 bottles so it'll be delivered before we return from our trip! Most groups seemed to stay a short while but we were there over 2 hours! We couldn't decide what rums to try next! We did get doubles of the cherry, raspberry, smoked chilli rums but the butterscotch is an absolute must try! I would absolutely recommend Lost Property.

A hidden gem in Nottingham city centre - lovely atmosphere, well decorated and great selection of drinks with a good value happy hour on cocktails - we will be back!

In Nottingham, deciding on where to go when you're over the age of 21 begins getting a little bit harder. You want to go somewhere with good music and a good vibe, at a place that isn't full of people with a silver spoon in their mouth. This place is great. Don't wanna go cocotang or pitcher and piano for some girly photos. Me wanna party and have a proper boogie. I reccommend lost property for people who actually wanna let go and have a dance.

Lovely bar however unfortunate member of staff caused a scene, claiming that my partner had done something and he was going to check cctv. Put a sour taste in our mouth as we couldn’t sit and enjoy our cocktails and drinks. Staff member came back and said there was no issue, although we were left feeling uncomfortable as we felt like we had done something wrong. We spoke to another couple of lovely staff who refunded us for the drinks and we left as we just wanted to leave at this point. Embarassing and unnecessary.

Edited: Spoke to the manager and he was lovely and extremely helpful and apologetic. Bold man behind the bar was absolutely disgusting! Not impressed with his attitude towards my 70 year old father at all! All we wanted was a gin and tonic!

Amazing place, incense lit for great aroma and tons of history, very different experience for all. Jamie was a brilliant member of staff telling me and my partner about the history of the bar and the caves beneath it. Would recommend for a couple of drinks!

Hidden gem which can take a few minutes to find. Staff seems relaxed and the atmosphere is completed by the original interior design.

I literally was not even going to your venue and your bouncers had a problem with me, any bouncers you had around 9pm on 27/04/2024 they are oversensitive and shouldn't work in security if they are so weak

I always love coming here and bringing visitors of Nottingham too. I just think the bar in the caves is great - such a cool atmosphere, great (and bright) drinks and friendly staff.

Quirky decor and an exciting vibe make this place a definite destination in Nottingham. Of all the cocktail bars in this city, both only where the drinks better than anywhere else they were also competitively priced. 100% our favourite bar in Nottingham

What a fab place!! Brought friends here for the first time and they absolutely loved it! Such a quirky bar and the atmosphere was great for a Saturday. The guy doing cocktails was excellent and informed us of the offer that was available, service was quick as well even though it was really busy. We sat in the back half of the place which was better for having conversation but then moved into the bar area to have a dance to the music! Will definitely come back again and would recommend it if you are looking for somewhere different. It’s a hidden treasure!

Love this place. The cave bar is more chilled out. Upstairs needs to lower the music as it was so difficult to have a conversation which is why we only stayed for 1 drink. You could not hear yourself speak. A cocktail bar should be chilled not a club with music running at a high decible. Big mistake..

Bassment/Lost Luggij is the place to be on a Thursday. Garage/House heaven. Perfect atmosphere. So raw and authentic. I give it 3 months until it’s a pillar in the Notts rave scene. 5/5

Really cool atmosphere and vibe! Just having drinks in a cave is boujee and unique + the staff were lovely, finding us a table when it was already full! Given four stars because they don’t make the cocktails in the cave, they are pre-mixed (apparently) so whilst tasty 😋 they aren’t able to offer changes or adaptations

Decent drinks. Cool atmosphere. The mold covered walls in the lowered level discouraged us from hanging out down there for an extended period of time.

Terrible service. Visited the caves for a drink with friends- was served a drink which was undrinkable. We politely spoke to the bar tender about it and they point blankly refused to acknowledge there was a problem with the drink. Zero customer service skills, was incredibly rude to us and clearly just wanted payment and for us to leave. We WILL NOT be returning. Avoid! Better caves in Nottingham to enjoy a drink in!

Wide range of flavoured rums. Quick service and a really unique place for a couple of drinks

I took my bf here as he has never been to Nottingham. We both like that it's a speak easy, and a bar with a bar within a bar. Barception. I quite like it's roped off, as you feel quite special when given access. The cave itself is cool. Drinks were nice. Items were off the menu. The cherry rum with coke was nice, think Dr pepper.

Gin and Rum bar, they didn't have any gin or rum... Was told to choose a couple of drinks from the menu because they were so short of stock on Saturday. They had basically nothing when we came to order. Had made no effort the adjust the menu to what they had available. A complete joke.

This bar is unique, cocktails on the ground floor, hidden gem of a rum and gin room downstairs which is table service, cash preferred downstairs due to poor wi-fi signal. Does get busy, so get there early

Love this place, so much character and so many nooks and crannies to hide in, in its quieter moments.

Came here for a pit stop before dinner. I hadn't told my partner where we were going so his face as I walked down the alley was a picture. The place is a hidden gem once inside and the cocktails are amazing! They even have happy hour, win win. These cocktails arnt cheapy bar cocktails where you can't taste the alcohol and your essentially drinking juice these are fully fledged great trading cocktails and I would highly recommend to anyone!

Popped in for a cocktail on Saturday night. There aren't many spots to sit, luckily we found a little table in a nook. The bartender did us two White Lady's on their happy hour 241 deal, based on what we said we liked and they were delicious.

Read some of the negative comments previously written, but I'm really glad I ignored them as it was difficult to fault the bar on the ground floor and also The Lost Caves downstairs. The staff were professional, prompt, and courteous, and the ambience was really good. Really interesting bar, lots of interesting things to look at and chat about and the drinks were delicious and value for money. Of course, the caves further down feel a bit damp. They are caves, after all. But that didn't worry us as the service and rum choices more than made up for it. Definitely a 4 out of 5. If the toilets were a bit more pleasant, I would have given 5 stars. Overall, I can't wait to go back!

Nice bar, cool staff, prices weren't too bad

Ordered 2 Drinks on happy hour.... not good. 2 palomas that were clearly not palomas, tasted disgusting... Asked barman to swap them immediately for 2 other cocktails.. All he did was add sugar syrup to the drinks and would not swap them. We left the drinks and the bar... I am a very genuine customer and enjoyed many other drinks in Nottingham but felt compelled to write this due to lack of customer service!!! Had to give a rating through Google to post but rating is truly zero

We visited Lost Property for drinks with friends, early evening on a Saturday. There were tables available so 2 of us went to the bar while the others sat down. After twenty minutes of standing at the (not too busy) bar & being ignored, we gave up & left. Shocking service, Lost Property. We won’t be back.

Venue will not accept cash, they have a poor attitude and say they do not want customers who expect to pay with cash… I’ll keep the tips for a bar that will accept cash then 👍🏽

Nice bare aesthetically, music was good. However, the bar seemed understaffed for a Saturday night and the barstaff either didn't notice this or didn't care enough to put their foot down a bit. Would visit again on a more quiet night

Quirky place with a great friendly atmosphere

Had a pleasant night out there with my friend, the bar staff were friendly, there was good music and vibes, but I did not enjoy a single cocktail and I have tried three different ones and the toilets would not lock and there was no soap.

I was really excited to come here and planned a trip to Nottingham especially for this. The website stated it was open and we arrived to find it was closed which was very disappointing. Unable to upload screenshot of the website to show this.

Cool underground cocktail bar with good vibes and good drinks. No menu, just order what you fancy. Can definitely recommend the margaritas here.

It's good for a different vibe but there is damp smell ould not stayed for long. Tables were broken and staff was not friendly.

We stayed in sister hotel round the corner from what has to be the best bar in Nottingham. Hidden down a alley it is quirky fascinating place and the best cocktails

Bartender was hostile, my first experience here so just had the one and we left - assuming she was having a bad night. None the less, the gimmick is very cool. Would recommend checking it out.

Expensive for what it is. Good luck getting a seat down in the caves. However a decent secret bar. With some decent cocktails.

We went to the cave bar for drinks and I am not fussy just wanted a straight forward G&T. I was unable to read the menu as it's fairly dark in the cave and even with 1.5 reading glasses I could not see it. I assumed that they would have Tanqueray or Gordons so asked for this. The waiter said we dont have it and I said oh what do you have as unfortunately I cant read the menu even with my glasses. He said we have 15 premium gins and pointed to the menu. I said yes but as I explained I cant see it can you just tell me your top 2 or 3. He then ran his finger down the menu and said they are all here. I said yes but for the 3rd time I cant see it . My husband said go and have a look at the bar to which the waiter replied you cant do that its table service for a reason. Needless to say I got up and left with no drinks. I did complain to the manager. I have never been treated so rudely by waiting staff and I really wasnt being difficult. Imagine I could have been partially blind and needing help. DISGUSTING attitude

Awesome hidden bar, tasty cocktails and a great atmosphere. Reminded me of a Szimpla Kert in Budapest.

We visted here on Saturday, there were little disappointments like we ordered a tiki cocktail for the cup but they dont serve them at the weekend due to them being stolen :( i feel people have ruined a good cocktail as even though the cocktail was delicious the novelty got lost in a pint glass. However theres a really good atmosphere and the staff took and delivered multiple orders at once which is impressive on a busy night . We got a table quite easily and its just a really nice laid back venue, my first time visiting and we will be back

Always loved Lost property, ever since we moved to Nottingham 9years ago. It was literally a Hidden Gem. The dark cosy atmosphere, great music loud enough so you can hear each other talk and the cocktails and any drink was made with pride. It felt special, and due to that you didn’t mind spending £8-12 on a cocktail. Now they have stripped back the atmosphere and you are left with pop music on so loud everyone is shouting, with a Vodka & tonic presented the same as if I went to a weatherspoons and when you ask for a bit of fresh lime you are frowned at and presented with the smallest bit I’m pretty sure it was just Skin….. it is the same as every other student bar in the city, no longer special. Over the years we have seen the same happen to all of the Curious bars… start off Amazing, somewhere I would take my friends and family something to talk about and then everything is stripped back but the prices! I thought and hoped Lost Property being their first would be safe but it seemed it was only a matter of time. Such a shame, probably won’t be going back :(

Terrible experience, reserved us a table but then let other people sit there last minute. Bad atmosphere and mangers were atrocious.

Love this place - great drinks with the 2-4-1’s especially after 10pm for students. It can be quite hard to get a table though. It would also be nice if 2-4-1’s would be in the caves aswell.

Expensive and ladies toilet had no locks on the cubicles plus the mens wasn't clean

What a cool little multi-level drinking and dancing venue. Cocktails up top, a drum and bass bar downstairs and a trip through the caves if so so desire. Great little place...Will definitely return

Had a blast in here. Drum n Bass in the basement on a Friday felt like old times. It has tons of fancy drinks available and, despite that, the draft lager is a decent pint! Well done!
