Good food and good service. We were informed on arrival that the kitchen was busy due to a party of 20. We didn’t have to wait too long though. Our server, Anna was friendly and efficient.

Enjoyed a very nice lunch with friends (14 of us) pre-Christmas get together. Cheryl was in charge of the service and it was well executed in a friendly and professional manner. Must visit when the weather is better in order to admire the surrounding grounds and the Mill.

Excellent meal for party of 6 family celebration. Had festive menu all had different 3 course meal and all said each course delicious. Fresh ingredients and tasty. Excellent attentive service.good atmosphere...only slight small negative a little chilly by window would recommend dressing accordingly. Thank you all for a really nice time.

. Carpark is pitch black. . Loads of lights out on pathway to entrance. . Empty tables are sticky and filthy. . Other tables are covered in plates, bottles and glassware. . Staff, consistently walking past these tables and ignoring the filth. . Staff miserable and not attentive. And the start of the festive season is only 3 weeks away. I was looking for a venue for my family to enjoy a get together over Christmas, but it certainly won't be in this dump.

We had booked a table for Saturday dinner. The arrival welcome was slightly off-hand. We were shown to a table with food debris under it, which the waitress showed no interest in dealing with. We were then asked for drinks, but she hadn't given us a drinks menu. When she did produce a list she displayed no knowledge of the wines on offer. When asked for a wine by name, she looked puzzled and said something to the effect of 'whatever...you've got me there'. By now we had heard nearby tables asking where their food was. When asked our waitress said that there was a near 40 minutes delay on food orders. At that point we politely left. There may well be extenuating reasons for all this, but none were offered on the night. All very disappointing.

I was served by a lady called Cheryl, she was extremely polite, never bothered us, but was always at hand every-time we needed a refill or a pot of tea. We ordered our food, which Cheryl served and it was hot and lovely. Her service and her manners were incredibly professional. If you’re thinking of somewhere nice, for a lunch or a coffee, then I would highly recommend this place and ask for Cheryl’s service here. To sum up in One Word “Exemplary”. Thank you Cheryl :)

Cheryl and her team made us most welcome when we arrived at the restaurant. Although we were early reasonable amount of customers eating and drinking making it a good atmosphere to start with. Cheryl chatted and was in no rush to take the orders which was excellent as we were not pressurised to much about food only taking our orders for drink. Meals were hot and very tasty so congratulations to the chefs and kitchen staff. Overall a very nice evening spent with a good hostess and talkative company.

Met a friend for lunch. not very busy. were well looked after by Cheryl. Nice freshly cooked fish and chips. Noticed the fixed price lunch menu has gone up by about £5.00 for two courses from £11.95 to £14.95, so not such good value any more. Will probably not be visiting quite so often now.

Worse place ever don't know what's happened use to be good but after waiting two hours for food and not even been told sorry there's a delay, l numerous people had same issue and manager didn't want to come out and talk, got a part refund as had had starter's which had stuff missing, won't be going back definitely not recommended

Once again the food service and hospitality are second to none. We visited here for valentines 2 years ago pre-pandemic and had a lovely meal and were looking forward to our visit again. Sadly it was extremely disappointing. We went for the set valentines menu with a whole Camenbert to share, this came with 2 slices of toast between us both, half of the cheese is still left after the toast has gone and the relish that is meant to accompany it was missing. Onto the mains, we both ordered the ribeye steak, mine was overcooked and full of gristle, I have never had this with a ribeye I have purchased myself. Desert, we both ordered sticky toffee pudding and I asked for mine with ice cream instead of custard, we were shocked to get the bill and that I had been charged for the ice cream, I did not have custard and ice cream as an addition and nothing was taken off for the custard, I feel that this is taking advantage, it was the size of a ping pong ball and the additional charge was not mentioned when ordering. It was a busy night being valentines weekend so there were long waits between everything and not once when we were eating were we asked if everything was OK, we only saw someone when they cleared the plates and this was not our server. The food quality slipped as they appeared unable to cope with the level of cuatom, we went from looking forward to visiting again to probably not bothering to save the disappointment as it is very rare for us to have a night out together and would rather go somewhere we will feel less disappointed.

Had a meal here on Tuesday evening. Lovely setting. Lovely meal and polite staff. Only criticism is you need more lighting in car park!

Lovely food. Nice and relaxed. We arrived for a late lunch. So was pretty quiet, but this suited us fine. We had scallops and the pate, chicken and pork belly for main. Very well prepared. Service was good. Un rushed.

Very friendly staff, a recognisable menu to suit everyone. A great place for a family. Lovely location and scenery. There was no rush and made to feel that we could have stayed all day.

Great place for a meal inside or out or just a drink, food was really good, only let down is to find out I could not have the fish and chips i was looking forward to because they cook the fish and onion rings in the same oil, the rings have milk in them and i have a lactose intolerance. I had the gammon steak instead and really enjoyed it. Staff very polite and good at their job.

So after playing golf nearby we all had precooked table to eat and have drink . A warm welcome , nice table for us . Very good staff team looked after us well ,very attentive polite and pleasant . Restaurant not busy so well looked after . Had lovey variety of well prices meals ranging from steak fish n chips gammon chips all said their meals were great .Definitely return again.

Great lunch and wonderful surroundings. From the time we walked in to Longbridge mill we were made to feel very welcome. The service was first class we were given time to choose our drinks and Food and drinks were served quickly and the food that was beautifully cooked came in time you’d expect.The staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.I use various Vintage Inns throughout the country and have to say this is one of the best of any I have been in.Well done

Went as part of a group of friends for a birthday. The food was really delicious and the decor of the place is just lovely olde worlde. Not the cheapest of places, but nice for a treat.

I just wanted to thank you and all your staff for making our family get together lunch so special yesterday. The food was delicious and the staff very helpful and friendly. The children’s menu of pick and mix was especially welcomed. Everyone who came said what a nice venue it was and how much they enjoyed it. A relaxed and successful party.

My partner and I stopped off on a Saturday night around half past 8 with no booking after leaving another restaurant because of poor service down the road. It was my birthday and I had given up on the idea of a lovely dinner, but wanted to have one last go before heading home.From the second we walked in, we were made to feel welcome by the lovely barman, who offered us a table with a huge smile. Great selection of non alcoholic drinks for my partner, and my favourite gin was available too. We were shown to the table and given menus. The food was great, from starters all the way through to puddings and coffees, presented nicely and came out very promptly. Our waiter, Will, was both relaxed and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The whole experience was just wonderful and we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you so much to the staff working that night for changing my birthday from being a disaster to being a success.

Booked table for 7.30pm arrived 7.20 and shown to table early then left for 20 mins finally a young lady appeared and took our order including drinks at 8.07 drinks arrived followed by the meals 10 min later. Meals overpriced and mine over cooked although my partner enjoyed hers we also had vouchers for a free pudding each that had been refused on an earlier visit this time one was excepted and only a fight with management was the second voucher excepted. Today received email asking for a review on service guess what cannot open it in any form so i guess they really know the answer will not be returning or recommending

Nice pub with working flour mill attached. Little pricey for a pop-in lunch but looks nice for a family occasion

We were sat in the 'greenhouse' part of the pub opposite the bar where you go down a ramp and there are two lots of windows on each side with plants on the window sills. The window sills were COVERED in tiny flies (which are from the plants) they were flying all over the table and landing in our drinks so we moved to the table in the middle of the restaurant. We visit vitage inns quite a lot so we know what we're getting I can't complain about the food it's all the same and was quite nice. When I asked for a table for 3 of us the server looked on her screen and said 'mmm' even though there was only 3 tables in the place was practically empty inside. I ordered a glass of prosecco which I had to take back to the bar as it was flat. The serving staff were obviously new one of the servers were wearing shorts which I don't think is suitable at all and just looked poor.

We often meet family here as a half way eating house and it never fails to deliver. Good choices of food for all tastes and ages and it always seems to be freshly cooked.

Popped in earlier this evening with my mother. Lesley was the only lady running the restaurant at this peak time. She was lovely. Food was incredible and service was also amazing! Will be recommending too family and friends!

Went for a family meal, we got one of the exclusive room for 8 people (6 adults, 2 kids). I guess the best of this place was the service by our lovely waitress (young lady), who made sure we were well served. Dont go for the Squid starter as it comes with few squids, fews prawn, both heavily buttered and camouflage with enormous papadums to prevent you for seeing the real size of it (very small). Sea-bass dish was also a regret, it comes with boring new potatoes and some crab-sauce that definitely does not go with the fish. Everyone else had the lamb, I didn't heard any complain but neither a compliment, apparently was a little bland. Kids portions are massive. Mini selection of desserts were nice.The manager and the landlady (I guess) were not very happy about the kids, so perhaps no very children friendly.

Travelling by, lovely people, lovely location, lovely and clean, the food was nothing to get excited about......pretty average to be honest.... If the food was better it would be a pretty amazing place to be....

Visited recently for the second time.Friendly welcome by polite and obliging staff. Table booked in advance, party of 5, as this resturant can be busy. (family use it regularly). Quickly shown to our reserved table and menus given while drinks orders taken. Ideally situated meeting place for family coming up from the south of the county and we travelled over from Maidenhead. Once again we were not disappointed. All ordered various dishes. Starters went down a treat followed by a various delicous main courses. Those who missed a started endulged in a gorgeous dessert.

If you love a good decent pub, with great food and a selection of ales then this is the spot. I've been here a couple of times and never am I disappointed. A 500 old year pub right next to a flour mill with a contemporary interior.

Our recent experiences at Vintage Inns has been awful and feel that they have declined over the last few years.

Visited between Christmas and New Year with family. Beautiful place with very helpful and friendly staff who made us and our large dog more than welcome. Great menu with something for everyone - from burgers to venison, and home made pies stuffed to the brim with beautiful tender meat - and not overpriced. We will definitely add this to our list of places to eat when visiting the area.

Went here in December with extended family. The Sunday roasts were very good - a good quantity of food, and very tasty - I particularly recommend the Roast Beef Duo - with a slice of roast beef and a beef rib. It was really good!

We finally got a Sunday Roast no wonder they sell out so early it was Fantastic ( tip do not have a starter) meal was Awesome Staff are all great service was 1st Class keep up the good work Guys

Hemos aprobado este lugar cientos de veces en nuestro camino hacia Southampton, pero nunca he tenido tiempo para parar. Ayer mi esposa y yo metimos en para comer y no nos decepcionó. Este es un muy buen pub apartado de la carretera principal con un montón de estacionamiento y asientos al aire libre. El menú del almuerzo era buena y había también una tabla de ofertas ofrece aún más opciones. La comida llegó rápidamente y disfrutamos de un servicio amable de ambos Donna y Valentina durante nuestra estancia. Sólo pedimos un sándwich caliente y patatas fritas, pero mi esposa tenía el pescado y patatas fritas. Las comidas calientes, y donde el tamaño de las porciones eran buenas. Dejaremos inicio más temprano en el futuro para permitir suficiente tiempo para detenerse y disfrutar de esta gran pub de nuevo.

Este tradicional Pub Country es un verdadero hallazgo!

Todas las comidas eran muy sabroso, incluso los 3 nietos exigente no me puedo quejar. Todos salieron al mismo tiempo y estaban calientes.

Had the best mothers day meal with my daughter she booked a cosy table for us and we got just that. The food was so tasty and had great service too.

Fantastic hot and cold buffet ,really lovely staff apart from the lady behind the bar who was quite rude and abrupt. Beautiful place plenty of room in an amazing setting.

Myself and my parents decided to go to long bridge while on the way back from a trip. When we walked in, we weren't sure whether to get a seat or wait to be seated which I feel they need to make it clear for when people walk in. I had scampi for my dinner which was delicious and good value for money and the same for my mum. However my dad had the fish and chips which the fish wasn't cooked properly, the mushy pees were cold and very few chips. I think the prices are too high for the standard of the place. Our waitress was lovely though.

I came in on Tuesday with my partner for a quite meal. The food turned up within reasonable time and had no probloms at all.

An easy place to find. Pretty and with a friendly atmosphere even when busy. THE food was delicious and extremely good value.

Starter arrived in good time, and it was very nice. Mains arrived also in good time. It tasted like it had been plated up then microwaved. No crispy potatoes etc, but it was passable. Then the puddings. Now, this seems to happen a lot when we go for meals, and not just to us. All the hot food, i.e. starters and mains seem to come quick. But the puddings sometimes seem to take forever. Why? when they are cold and sitting in the fridge. Even if you have hot Jam Sponge,(which is microwaved and custard poured on) as my wife did, why does it take so long to arrive. Se waited 20 minutes, then I asked the waiter if the puddings are coming. He replied "It's really busy in the kitchen". Well, I'm sorry, but that's not my problem. How busy do you have to be to get one Jam Sponge with custard, one cold chocolate torte, and one cold Baileys Crème Brulee?Eventually they came (27 minutes), only to find the Jam Sponge and Custard were both stone cold! My Baileys Crème Brulee was in fact Peach Melba! and to top it all, the Choc Torte was supposed to come with a golden dusted strawberry. . . . it wasn't there! So, we called the waiter back, who took the sponge away and my Brulee. 9 minutes later he came back!! Finally after waiting 36 minutes to get our puddings, we asked for the bill. It came saying £83. I thought that didn't sound right, queried it and got the right one of £69.

Lovely lunch here on Sunday for a family meal. Really nice food and free bottle of fizz for my boyfriend's birthday. Only issue was the very slow service. We had to wait quite a while for our orders to be taken and for the food to arrive. Other than that we had a lovely time.

This place was ok. Can't say too much about it really. I had a quinoa salad which was huge and very tasty. My husband had haloumi fish & chips with mushy peas which he enjoyed. Enjoyed a glass of red and my husband had a beer. Thing is with a lovely building like this and it's history I was surprised to find the atmosphere lacking. The pub was cold which didn't help. I should be looking forward to a return visit - but somehow I don't think we will be visiting again.

We were a group of 10 celebrating my mums 81 st birthday. After 45 minutes our starters arrived. The calamari was stone cold and the prawn and avocado cocktail had no avocado in it. During our starters the roof started to leak on my sisters head. When we mentioned this to our server we were told "what do you expect from a 200 year old building! When we we asked should the calamari have been served cold we were told" no it should be hot! We didn't want to cause a fuss as some of our party had travelled 60 miles to be with us. The main course finally arrived and the steak that was ordered medium was practically raw and was so fatty. The fisherman platters were bland and still not very warm. It was obvious it was my mums birthday as she was surrounded by cards and presents but no member of staff even wished her a happy birthday. We normally have desserts and liqueurs but really wanted to leave as the whole experience was impersonal and unprofessional. The final insult came when the bill arrived. We were told by the waitress " apparently 3 of your starters were cold and one had no avocado in so we have taken them off the bill". There was no apology for the delay or the standard of food. I would not recommend this eatery to anyone. It is ready cooked processed overpriced fast food served slow,,

A group of friend get together, having booked a table the reservation was lost, but due to the slow trade at 17:00 on a Wednesday we were offered a number of tables of our choice. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and sociable.a variety of starters proved very nice and delivered fairly promptly.The mains which included steaks, fish, gammon and sausages were average, the steaks were a little tough and grisly, gammon OK bangers looked a little anaemic but were fine.a cautionary note on the steaks would be read the small print as although the menu said 2 courses for just under £12 there is a small print supplement for steak and any sauces. Small rump steak, 10/15 chips in a small dish, half a tomato and half a small mushroom on a huge plateDrinks are priced above average by as much as 35p on the pint and 50p on a glass of wine.Atmosphere was OK but could better with an available open fire being lit, waitresses and waiter were very good.A typical edge of local estate Pub/restaurant that would be very popular during the summer months.

Visited this pub with my husband, we found ourself a table for 2. Let's just say the tables are a little close for comfort! The pub was very busy as it was a Friday evening. We ordered our meals from the bar. Large menu, good prices. I tried the beer battered halloumi. When the meals where served, we were asked if we would like any sauces, my husband asked for some ketchup. I found it a little bit odd that the waiter came back with a tray of sauces and then waited for my husband to take what ketchup he wanted and then took it back away. Most places leave the sauces with you incase you would like more. Anyways, the food nice and reasonably priced. We had the sharing platter for desert - the eaton mess was the best thing on the platter

On arrival we were seated pretty quick and served almost immediately the food was nothing to shout about but well proportioned the best bit was the sherry trifle and my wife had the peanut butter cheesecake which was really nice

Pub was closed one night when we had booked and no explanation other than a blackboard saying Pub closed. Lots of concerned and confused people in the car park.Emailed why and only heard a week later. Phoned several times an got no reply. As landlady can be surly shan't go there again.

I visited here for a family meal at the end of December, and although the service couldn't be faulted (we were a big party), the food was average. We visited here last year for the sanely smiley meal, and I was impressed - but the food seems to have gone downhill since then. It was lukewarm and bland. The only thing that saved the meal was the delicious house red I had to drink. Disappointing!

Slow service Not given what was ordered and charged for something different to orderedWas meant to have Mediterranean vegetables with my order and was given undercooked carrots and peas when questioned waitress she questioned what was on the board then took my plate away and brought it back with red onions, one small piece of courgette snd one small piece of red pepper!My husbands burger was tiny and over cooked. Chips tasted reheated.Extremely disappointed and should have taken the advice of customers in the car park to try elsewhere - total waste of money and a waste of our precious time/evening with our children.Have never written a review before but felt the need to let other customers of our disappointment.

Dropped in on way home with the kids. Initially didn't think we would stay as the kids menu wasn't that extensive but the staff were happy to make a few alterations to satisfy some very fussy children. Really nice food and well cooked. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Glad we found it.

We recently went for Sunday lunch here and we're extremely disappointed. The food was cold so we sent it back, but even when it returned it was still barely luke warm. It was obvious they had 'blasted it' in a microwave but not even that did the trick. The service was poor, when we went to pay no one even asked us if we had enjoyed our meal! We won't be going back there again.

We gave this restaurant another go after having been there with the family about 18 months ago which left a bit to be desired I stated that we had children with us then and they complained about them and they are good kids, so this time it was just the two of us the food was a long time coming 50 mins when it arrived it was cold we will not be returning we did complain which was groaned at we will not be giving this place another go

Drop in every few months when en route often for a Sunday lunch. Staff always friendly and will always do their best to find us a table. Food always to the standard expected.

Initial impressions were good, lovely spacious surroundings and large garden in which to enjoy a drink before our meal. However food was average and the thing that let the place down were the staff. Seemed to be plenty of staff walking around but appeared disinterested. We had to get up and ask for someone to take our order. Service also slow despite not being busy. My first visit and not sure I would go again.

We stumbles a cross this stunning pub a couple of years ago whilst in the way home from London. Whilst holidaying locally, I remembered the pub, and drove specially to it, with my family in tow.The food was awful, I had the burger, which was clearly frozen, arguing the menu description. I object to shelling my own prawns, and why oh why do restaurants think severing chips in cups or cones or on a wooden board!I spent £125.00 when the KFC three miles down the road would be as nice!

Relaxed friendly beautiful food. Had a great time visiting from Australia catching up with friends. Staff very indulgent with us as we took ages to order because of chatting so much. Will go

Very average on all counts. Lovely setting. Spacious restaurant but that's about it. Have enjoyed a few good Sunday lunches here but other than that we wouldn't bother again.

We eat here 2-3 times a month and unfortunately the last few times have been a real disappointment. Last time my fish was full of bones (and I don't just mean a couple, I mean FULL as if it hadn't been deboned at all) and today I bit into an inch long skinny bone in my chicken burger which I was sharing with my young daughter. I was angry as she could have choked or hurt her mouth on it and I actually felt sick as I wasn't enjoying the meal anyway due to the stale bread and tough dry chicken. So, I took it to a member of staff and was expecting to have the meal taken off the bill or some type of reimbursement but instead she simply apologised and said its because they use real chicken!!??Today was the final straw for us and we won't be visiting again.

This is the kind of place that makes you think it's worth spending a little extra sometimes, then you get the bill and realise you didn't have to! Great value, great food, great service.
