Good choice of drinks and wide selection of wines. A lovely friendly and informal atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

We had not been here before, we had a nice welcome. My Husband tried a new beer which he enjoyed the Barman was very knowledgeable about Beer. We loved the decor and Atmosphere. Will be visiting again.

Stopped by for a few quick drinks, owner was very welcoming and a real character so we will definitely be calling again, hopefully to try the food next time, great bar.

Always a great welcome from the owner at this little gem of a place. very frendly locals too, they will always engage you in conversation if requred.

Very imaginative interior with an eclectic collection of soft furniture and interior designers gone wild selection of artefacts and messages fixed to many surfaces. It works though, even the drums on the ceiling. I am guessing the theme is what you might find in an old loft, nevertheless a fine bar with friendly staff. New spaces are revealed on the way to the loo with some comfy discreet rooms that would work well for courting or private conversations. Very impressed and highly recommended.

Always good for that little glass of wine that moves into a bottle or just a quick drink before dinner that changes into a bottle!!!!

Lovely wine bar with good service. We usually go as a treat as it's quite expensive. The decor inside is great and seating outside on a nice day is good.

Evening in Tickhill. The drinks are overpriced. Should be a friendly place but the owner appears to not want people in there. His demeanour and customer service is none existent

Great friendly service as always. Good quality coffee and nice cakes. Clean and welcoming even though we arrived when they were just opening up.

We pulled over here for a much-needed coffee and we were ever so please that we did - this place is a real gem! A warm welcome, friendly service and great coffee, reasonably priced coffee. We'll definitely make a point of visiting next time we're in the area.

We called in as a party of four prior to attending another place for a meal. Good spectrum of age groups in the place and very prompt and friendly service from the bartender. A round of four different drinks for less than than £20 was good value given the good size glasses / portions and I have been charged far more elsewhere. We stopped for two drinks before going for a meal. We were made welcome by staff, served promptly and there was plenty of room to find a seat despite there being a decent sized crowd in. When visiting friends I would definitely call back and have a few drinks here.

Called here for lunch on way home from Bawtry. Limited food menu which wasn’t particularly a problem so we both had an open cheese sandwich which should have come with selected chutneys and a dollop of coleslaw. The sandwich came and the bread looked like cheap supermarket white bread cut into triangles with slices of cheese on. There was some green salad which had dark green slime (which I assume was a salad leaf that had gone off) one small pot of pickle some red grapes and a pot of olives. No coleslaw. The waiter came to ask if everything was ok and I said no I was disappointed in the quality of the bread and the slime that was on the salad. All he said was sorry and had I finished. The best thing on the plate was the pickle. I will vote with my feet and not go again

We visited The Lofthouse last night with another couple. Unfortunately they didn’t have the ingredients to the cocktail I wanted, which I don’t think is good service. My friend told me that last time she was there they didn’t have the ingredients for a cocktail she ordered. Surroundings are comfortable with large leather settees. Wouldn’t rush back.

We had a great relaxing drink here.... the house wines were great. The glasses were massive in size. Staff very friendly.

Sunday 3rd December: went to garden centre, place was packed, Xmas shopping. Finished looking round, wanted coffee and snack. Cafe was overwhelmed with customers, lunchtime, noisy.

We popped into this Time Warp on the off chance. It is essentially a bar.My wife had a white wine at a reasonable price and I a very nice Americano. This places does platters rather than meals and would be a very nice evening spot. You could spend ages just looking at the items on display, the theme being retro music. The proprietor is very friendly and talkative if he has the time. Try it even just for a one off. i think you will warm to it.

After helping a friend move into his new flat, and a delicious meal in Rocco’s round the corner, our local guide to Tickhill suggested The Lofthouse (having been to school in York I was expecting a local pub!) but what a surprise- city centre cool fit for London, with a friendly northern welcome, far better than expected on a quiet, rather damp Tuesday night! A round of cocktails and a couple of G&T;’s from the very well informed barman (owner? I think) we went home to bed very pleased with our evening in Tickhill- definitely going to visit this one again!

Called in for a glass of wine with a friend. Found the owner manager grumpy and unfriendly. No idea why but it didn't feel like a friendly place to be on a Friday afternoon. Won't be going again!

Llamado para un almuerzo ligero. Sólo tenía sandwiches - podría haber Greggs fresca en y que habría sido mejor relación calidad-precio. Casi ningún llenado con una guarnición de ensalada fresca questionably. El servicio era bastante agradable, pero solo estábamos dos en! Es una pena que la comida fue una decepción, ya no volveríamos por desgracia. Más de 22 libras para dos bocadillos, patatas fritas y café y un trozo de pastel. Crazy para pasar todo el dinero en la decoración, etc., pero no calentar el lugar o servir comida decente!

Las dos chicas detrás del bar eran de hecho contundente constantemente distraído pedidos. Sólo Dios sabe lo que el servicio hubiera sido como si hubieran sido efectivamente ocupados.

En un lugar diferente. Inteligente, personal amable y eficiente que se puede encadenar más de un par de palabras juntas y que no tienen tatuajes y piercings. Propietario/anfitrión es muy acogedor. Una buena selección de bebidas. Recomendado.

we only went here once for lunch, i ordered a ham sandwich and a coffee, we had already drunk the coffee before the sandwich arrived and when it did it was a piece of cheap prepacked ham on two slices of dry bread with some salad, after complaining the price of coffee was refunded but the food had to be paid for. won't be going again

What a lovely quirky little bar!! Loads of drinks to choose from, warm friendly atmosphere! Well worth a visit, we will be going again!!

Wonderful lady running the bar.. she wasnt sure what one of the home made cakes was but allowed me to try before buying... it was wonderful anyway. Occupied a window seat on a Saturday afternoon to relax and enjoy the peace, oh and to do a bit of 'people watching'. Will certainly go again

Came here for a "date" night and we had a loverly time before we went on for dinner. The drinks are well priced and we came back after dinner

Great little place, lovely decor and drinks, good for couples and families and singles! Serves nibbles, cakes and boards....

My wife and I popped in for a quick drink, having meant to do so for some time. We were not disappointed. Whilst we never intended to stay, we wished we had not already made other plans. The decor and setting were very nice indeed. The place was tidy, clean and the bar was well stocked. We did not eat, but may well be tempted to do so next time. It also looks a nice place to have a coffee during the daytime. Free wi-fi too.

I have been to the Lofthouse before and had a lovely lunch. However today I went in to have afternoon tea with my husband. There was only one staff member on duty trying to run the bar, clear the tables and prepare food. He was very pleasant and was trying his best but was obviously over stretched. He served our drinks first then it took about 20minutes for our food to arrive. Whilst preparing it the staff member kept coming out to serve at the bar. When the food arrived the "selection of finger sandwiches" were made from dry white bread with either cheese or a miniscule amount of ham in them and some lettuce which was going brown on the edges. Not worth the £17.50 we paid. Will probably not go here for food again and I think the management need to make sure that they have enough staff on duty to run the place properly.

I've been several times to this place, always in the middle of the day or early afternoon, and I'm always amazed that its almost empty. I like it that way though. Salmon and cream cheese on bagels is always good and coffee is also excellent although at £3 perhaps a touch pricier than other places in the same village, and maybe that deters a few customers. Still, I'm happy to pay that bit extra for the peace and quiet. I suspect the main custom is in the evenings when this wine bar comes to life, but I've yet to experience that.

Not a lot to say about this place.We live in Bawtry and thought that was expensive!!We called in one evening and were astounded by their prices!Trust me please visit Lotties across the road,they work on tighter margins thusoffering you far greater value for money on your choice of wines,and a lovely ambiance to enjoy that relaxing bottle!Please The Lofthouse join the real world, you may be content with what you are doing but just think what you could be doing with a little more foresight and a little less greed!

Went for first time with a friend and new baby. It had a lovely relaxed atmosphere, despite only a few people in. I had the bagel sandwich for £5.95 which came with lots of salad and fruit. It was really good value and tasted lovely. Will be visiting again soon.

Called in for 2 coffees and 2 glasses of wine at 21.45. " sorry, we've just switched the coffee machine off" we are told. Apparently it takes too long to switch it back on. Poor merlot and no coffee.Avoid

Just me and my little girl took a coffee break whilst shopping in Tickhill on New Years Eve.Service was good but not overwhelmingly friendly..guess that everyone was getting ready for tonight?Decent coffee though and nice cakes that my daughter enjoyed.The decor was lovely and this must be s pretty cool wine bar at night time. Toilets very clean and nicely decorated too.All in all well worth a stop and plenty of room inside.

On a post Christmas stroll around the delightful village of Tickhill when most business were closed We came across the delightful Lofthouse with a superb bar and bistro layout The menu was simple but the food divine a cheese bagel was a generous lunch simply a great plate of foodThe host warm and welcoming Great value

Paid this place a couple of visits lately based on my wife;s recent visit with friendsMy first visit was on Halloween. All of the staff made a great effort to dress themselves & the venue in theme. We had a great night too. Well done allI returned on Saturday for a coffee & scone. I love the decor, the staff are all very pleasant & do honestly work hard to make everyone welcome.I like the feel of this place

The decor and atmosphere are lovely but unfortunately could not say as much for the food. Was advertised on the menu as a selection of finger sandwiches, scone with clotted cream and jam and a selection of miniature cakes with a choice of tea or coffee. Add a glass of fizz for an extra £5. When it came looked very attractive but bread was dry, cream was squirty froth not clotted and cakes were huge and dense. When asked if everything was ok, expressed my concerns to which the waitress just said "oh." Not impressed and will not be returning

Went in here today with my eleven year old daughter. Fancied a coffee and latte was very nice. Ordered sandwich for my daughter. Sandwiches are priced at 5.95 seems expensive but with it you receive salad, coleslaw, pickle even strawberries, theres plenty. The place is decorated to a high standard, we loved the musical instruments hanging from walls and ceilings, especially the drums fixed above us!I would like to return sometime either with daughter or in evening with friends.

Love this new coffee shop, was there saturday approx 3pm, nice variety of seating lovely calm relaxing atmosphere even though there were four other tables occupied. Great decor kids loved all the instruments hanging off the ceiling. Hubby had latte and pastries followed by a beer, he could easily have stayed for a few more hours, I had a coffee and a piece of Victoria sponge, ( good selection of cakes - I would have loved to try the chocolate cake, they also do sandwiches). The staff were warm and friendly, only thing - I would have liked some kid friendly juices, will be heading that way at the end of the month so will have to visit again.

This is a new wine and coffee bar and looks fab!! (Formerly Lockwoods Florists). it has been done up to a high standard and is great. we had a lot of wine and there is a good selection.
