Eaten here twice and the carvery is excellent.

All staff friendly and accommodating every time we have a meal. Imogen was a very polite, smiley attentive waitress a credit to the Kings Chamber. Food is always of good quality. No complaints at all.

One of the few places in the area that do veggie and vegan meals at a reasonable price. Atmosphere not bad at all. Amazed how quiet it is on a Friday evening Update 12/11/2022: Struggled to find a veggie meal that was available and I fancied. A bit disappointing.

Used the pub as a base while conducting phone interviews. Used the table order app, very effortless and efficient. Drinks were good value and tasty

Stayed overnight with work it was really good. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The bar staff were really friendly aswell as was the check in desk .Nothing was a problem.

I take my family here regularly for a Sunday meal, the carvery is always of decent quality though myself and the grandchildren usually eat a meal off the menu which is a good option for those not wanting a carvery.

Good pub but not the best steak was tough as old boots :-(

Linzi was helpful and friendly on hosting. Food was good barring my steak not being cooked to my request but was given complementary offer or refund.

Not the best carvery I've had. Serving was not consistent. Ie meat slices weren't proper slices. Definitely needed to sharpen the knife.

Even bigger Gluten Free options available now, impressed. We had a lovely carvery, allowed to sit where we needed to be. Vinnie the chef was fab, staff funny, polite, professional.

We both enjoyed our carvery meal. The man who was serving the meat and Yorkshire puddings was extremely polite and efficient.

Always clean, always friendly, always lovely food. The best loaded fries ever too.

The carvery was lovely but my son had cowboy burger and husband hunters chicken for the price they aren't good. Small burger with only a few fries same with the hunters chicken Wasn't great value for money. Gammon my daughter had was good though.

Linzi was the perfect host, even produced a cake with candles for my friends birthday. Would highly recommend the food, staff and atmosphere.

Just been to King's Chamber for 1st time.....What a nice place. Nice cosy environment, pleasant staff. Had a server called Linzi, happy go lucky lady, great to talk to and even remembered our drinks for the next round. Highly recommended. Will be back soon 💯

Lovely meal as always, very good standard for a Marstons pub, nice friendly atmosphere and great service from Linzi and all bar staff. We come here every Christmas Eve for a meal and once again it has not dissapointed

We come here all the time and every time is spot on. We came here for the festive menu on Friday 20th and it was amazing, it was super busy and full pub but that didn’t take away from the service we received from the staff. There were quite a few of us but the starters came out in a good time and no complaints from anyone, the carvery always lovely and topped up and the desserts hit the spot. I would like to mention Dylan the chef who always remembers us and makes us feel at home is amazing, so chatty always smiling and has a great sense of humour. Also the woman on the carvery was nice too it’s nice to see staff smiling and enjoying their job even when really busy. Thank you kings chamber we will be booking again next year!!

5* service from Poppy at the bar. Always smiling, quick and often has drinks ready before we walk in. Only trouble is that head office keep hiking prices often by 10p per drink every few months. It’s ridiculous. Food items have shrank too and most starters not value for money, or the new children’s ice cream bowls are so small the ice cream falls out. Can’t fault the staff though.

We booked a table for 6.00pm and waited to be shown our table, I asked the person at the Entrance how do we redeem our free drink which was part of our agreement if we were to provide our email addresses on our initial visit. This was met in a dismissive way and completely missed the point that nobody from Kings Chamber had informed us what the process was, the response was, "oh, that must have been last years offer", not the response I was expecting which left me feeling disappointed. Additionally, nobody informed us we had to order at the Bar so sat there like a lemon until I asked the Waitress who was helpful. This was not our first visit however we are not local and infrequent visitors so forgot the arrangement, would have been helpful to have been reminded as we were shown our table. Good news, food tasty and good value.

Got a great atmosphere and the staff are really nice and polite. I ordered a coffee, but unfortunately couldn't have one due to the coffee machine not working, so the manager, I think, came up and told me what had happened. He was really apologetic about it, but he offered me a refund or tea, so I went for a cup tea. He was really professional about it.

Well to put it clearly never book for an event we booked for one to be told 3 days before hand that we was not aloud to have our own catering to be eaten on there ground but was told when I first booked the venue by a manager that we was fine to do so and we was aloud to come and set up early it cost us a fortune over £300 in all for it to go to waste decorations food time I will never come or spend my money any where near that place again an I will not be telling my friends an family to come to ur place no more Sunday dinner after school random teas an defo no more events I will not be spending my money in there .

I love coming to eat here with my partner. The food is amazing, the staff are so nice and helpful and overall it is just a clean and lovely place to eat. Their carvery never fails, honestly best roast I’ve ever had! I wouldn’t say it’s expensive for the portion size at all(even though my eyes are bigger than my stomach most times) and every time we’ve gone it’s never been too busy to grab a table. I would 100% reccomend if you’re thinking about going here, cause I know I’ll definitely be returning :)

We visited today to enjoy a carvery with friends. I will start with a positive we were seated promptly enough and was served at the bar promptly considering it was a Sunday. Unfortunately that's where the positives end the food was dreadful, granted you can always expect a carvery on a Sunday to be slightly lower than weekday standards due to the demand but this was awful. I had a large piece of cauliflower that hadn't been cooked at all and was raw as well as the sprouts. The stuffing was soggy, the Yorkshire puddings were undercooked and rubbery and the small sliver of beef I was given was dry and and well over cooked. In summary we are definitely without any doubt never visiting here again.

Stayed here overnight. Overall, all good, but i think I little attention in cleaning details will be efficient.

I am a very picky eater and I never know what I want. The menu always leaves my head in a spin. But there is a pop up on the table that gives the days promotions. This is what I went for. I was just a plain and simple cheese burger. It was fantastic. I even asked for the name of the person that pulled it together. So thank you John. It was amazing.

Our first time and enjoyed it. We will be going again. Staff were helpful and friendly. They are doing glasses for the British Legion. Pint and half pint with a poppy design on them. No half pints left. Pint glasses were £2.50 each and all going to the British Legion. Also, we had vouchers for 30% off Mains as well. A very good food selection and drinks as well. Think they do accommodation as well. Everything is on the flat, no steps. Plenty of parking. Disabled parking 3 spaces and 2 electric vehicle charging points as well. They have outside seating and a play area for the kids. Great for the summer.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. We were looked after by Danny. He is a credit to your company, nothing was too much trouble.

Friendly and helpful staff and reasonable choice menu. Food was excellent. Table was a bit tacky but I think this was due to the varnish being well worn rather than being unclean.

Stayed here as we had a friends Halloween fancy dress party to go too. Quick and easy check in. Staff informative The room was cleaned to a high standard and the bed very comfy. Loved the additional pillows. Hotel very quiet, no interruptions or loud guests. We will reccomend to anyone looking to stay in/near Thorne and we will stay here again too.

We visit Kings Chambers fairly often, the service has always been very friendly, quick and piping hot food, the surroundings in the pub are tasteful and clean. The Lasagne served to me was lovely,(as it always is) probably the best I ve ever had with the possible exception of one. My partner echos me in that we always have had good food on our visits, always pop for a meal whilst driving home from Meadow hall.

Great pub, great food. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the quiz is great on a Thursday night! Tim is the best landlord and is always friendly and welcoming. He really makes sure he caters for families and is always organising events and themes for the quiz, it's these little touches that make it extra special and makes the kings chamber a great pub to visit. Ellie May is fantastic and brought me extra burger sauce and she has amazing table service and an amazing attitude nothing is too much trouble. She’s an asset to the team ☺️

All the staff were lovely and accommodating. Great place for kids. The food was good. Good for a quick easy dinner. I would come back again if I lived in the area.

We were quite surprised how busy it was for a Wednesday lunchtime, but concluded that this must be a good thing. We ordered fish and chips, and the hunters chicken. The food was really well cooked and tasty, way better than the usual pub chain food. The only small negative was the mushy peas were dry. The service was fast and friendly, Poppy and Ellie really looked after us. All in all, great food, drink and service at reasonable prices 👌.

Brilliant, I was at the kings chamber for a business meeting, the marstons where I live is absolute garbage as this venue was proposed by the person i was meeting my expectations were very low however i can honestly say i was very impressed, the breakfast was very good and value for money, the staff team particularly charlene and ellie happy, chatty friendly and efficient and i experienced them going out of their way to please their guests, the atmosphere very pleasant and relaxing, and finally the buildingwas very clean, i will definitely be back 😀

Greeted very quickly by the staff and seated promptly. Used the App to order, and items promptly served to us. Queue at the Carvery was not too bad, but could have been slightly quicker. Good selection of items and all Hot. Food continuously being replaced. Atmosphere was good, not over noisy as seems to the case at other bars/restaurants with guests being unable to chat.

Probably as much as I expected for the brand. Whilst staff worked very hard it can't help feeling a little impersonal. Again no fault of the friendly staff as very much a commuter/business stay place. Rooms could do with a little bit of attention and brought up to date but overall comfortable enough for a couple of nights. The McDonalds out the back a bit of a temptation mind..

Poor selection of veg all meats dry and only get one slice poor alround
