Kings Chamber in Doncaster

Me and my husband booked a room for Easter Sunday night as we was meeting friends to go round Thorne and back to King's Chambers for a night cap to our disappointment we walked in at 9.37pm to be told that last orders was at 9.30 pm so was closed very disappointed had to go back to our room with no water for the night as this isn't provided in room and cut our night short with our friends when I checked the closing times was 11pm even on Easter weekend we have stayed her lots of times and never been disappointed

Go kings chambers often this month with lots of bday. We love it here . Amazing food as always and a wide variety of options that pleases everyone in one place. The past few times we have had lovely linzi wait n service on us, she she was so happy joyful person that the kids loved, they have never sat enjoyed a meal ever but linzi made it fun for them. Shannon, Ellie, May and Caitlin were amazing! We turned up with a group of 18, 10 minutes before the quiz started and the team worked really hard to squeeze us in. We had a fabulous evening - all thanks to the amazing Kings Chamber team who went above and beyond to accommodate us. Unfortunately we didn’t win the quiz but next time! . .

Burger was excellent 👌🏼 . Linzi's customer service was outstanding. Didn't come over at an awkward time whilst enjoying our food.

We love coming here, even though it's in the next village we still consider it our local. We pop in for a drinks and food, and we've also spent special occasions here. Charlene, and the rest of the team are lovely, always so friendly and amazing with my two young kids (and dogs).... also the new menu especially the cauliflower cheese is on point!! A great bunch of people and great food

RUDE STAFF - got drinks at the bar - was going to order food so we were told to sit anywhere that wasn’t reserved - walked almost all round the pub but only one large table didn’t have reserved sign - had just sat down and the rudest woman said - you can’t sit there - I said he said any where that wasn’t reserved was ok - if we hadn’t paid £11.50 for a gin and soft drink we would have just walked straight out - been loads of times before - will NEVER return - their loss of income for one persons terrible attitude - it wouldn’t let me review without a circle but deserved no rating at all

Great service from Paige food was great had a carvery very good price for quality and amount the gammon and turkey was great.

We had a party of 14 after a funeral and the service and staff were superb. We will go again.

Nice friendly welcome, a few minutes wait at the bar as only 1 member of staff on. Then she left to take drinks to a table. Another staff member approached us to see if we were being served I said no so she jumped on the bar. Seated promptly and chose our meals. Ordered quickly and food served approx 15/20 mins later. All very tasty and plentiful - steak cooked to my liking, lovely chips too. My only criticism not just at King's Chamber but with any pub/restaurant is the stone cold plates! WHY? A lovely meal that goes cold in minutes. Plus the stainless steel gravy boat with my steak sauce in was stone cold too. Such a shame. Please get this right and it would be fabulous!

Great food food came out quickly ,Assistant manager needs to take more time with customer and be with that customer until my time with him is finished he quickly spoke then turned around and started doing something else and I hadn't understood what he had told me and I was stood there not knowing what he had just said and I felt like an idiot just standing there .......but great food in the end lol

I had scampi and chips, totally gorgeous, 5 star all the way, scampi was crispy, not soggy, chips were crisp and fluffy inside,,, husband had the spicy burger, he was well impressed with the quality of the burger, 5 star. quick service with check backs,...

Met with siblings to discuss personal issues and requested a quiet area, the staff were very obliging and seated us perfectly. The menu and qr codes were explained and was very easy to use. Food as always delicious! Team that was on duty were really lovely and helpful. Highly recommend.

Good parking availability, easy access for disabled people, very welcoming staff, clean and inviting restaurant. The staff could not do enough, although they were attentive, they were not intrusive. The service was perfect timing, giving our family time to catch up before we ate, the food was freshly cooked and just the right portion size.

Excellent food and service. The portions are generous and well presented. We had the fish and chips, hunters chicken, and steak sandwich and we couldn't fault it. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Thanks to Daz in the kitchen and Poppy who served us. The only negative was there was a group of very loud, sweary lads that no one dealt with.

The venue is very clean, tidy and there is plenty of comfortable seating. My mum was in her wheelchair but there were no issues at all. The welcome was great, ordering and table service were excellent and the food was very tasty and filling, with great portions. I was given a discount code by email and this was accepted without any fuss. All in all a lovely venue and myself and my elderly mother will be visiting again when she is allowed out on day release LOL. Thanks to the staff, they were brilliant.

All staff friendly and accommodating every time we have a meal. Food is always of good quality. No complaints at all.

Called for breakfast Saturday 20th January at about 10.45 breakfast finishes at 11 but staff were happy to serve us as long as got order in quick, ordered 3 breakfasts and one bacon and sausage sandwich, could help yourself to continental breakfast, tea, coffee, juices and toast all included in price, breakfast was hot and pretty good quality, would recommend it and will be calling again but little bit earlier 😁

Lovely place, nice food at a decent price. Plenty of parking even with electric vehicle charging points, gets busy Sunday and peak times so best to book a table on Sundays.

Stayed in the hotel here for my wife’s 50th birthday treat and visit to Yorkshire wildlife park approx 20 mins away very clean , superb breakfast which we paid for in advance great choice for breakfast clean in the pub the staff very friendly would definitely stay again or any marstons pubs lodges

Went for NYE party and Stayed in the pubs hotel. The nye party was excellent value and food buffet was brilliant!! Next day we had breakfast which was great value and really nice food. The staff were great and always attending to your needs, extremely friendly place, we travelled from Bolton and vannot wait to return and also return for NYE 2024!! Thanks so much for great time. ( Special shoutout to the lady who was assistant manager she was amazing with us and our kids.. The two stars are for the staff as they were lovely; the lady behind the bar and the lady at the carvery. Unfortunately the food was terrible. The meat tasted strange and it's made me feel ill tonight. Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were too hard to cut in to. I'm not expecting Michelin star from a chain pub but this really was a very poor standard.

Great staff, great food. We were there for the quiz as well as a meal and the staff moved us as soon as a better table for the quiz became available. We thought the quiz was very long and drawn out and left early but it was a good night.

Our experience was superb from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We were served by Ellie who was outstanding. We had the 3 course Christmas meal it was beautiful. We visit the King's chambers frequently. I am disappointed that you have stopped the refillable soft drinks. 😔

Lovely night out at the kings chamber for a friend's birthday, food was brilliant, I had the loaded fries which they swapped to chips for me, spot on as always Rhiannon in particular made our night, by helping out in taking a group photo (we gave her cake, think that sweetened the deal 🤣) Also big thanks to Paige, who risked life and limb bringing out the birthday cake, we didn't expect the flaming candles to be quite so big, hoping no singed eyebrows.

Food was great, really enjoyed it was served straight away and food came out quick no waiting around, was served by Poppy and Tim both polite and happy to help.

Saturday at 12 05 we arrived for a carvery lunch ...it was diabolical!!! Was it left on there from the day before??? Tepid ..stale ..NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Food let it down today as it was warm, not hot but linzi our server made up for it with her lovely bubbly personality. She interacted with us and the children with which is nice. She's an asset to the company.

I booked for a buffet on Saturday 11 November. For my daughter's engagement party. The food was plentiful, very tasty and good value for money.
