Not great, this subs chip shop And cooking everything to order is a crazy idea, ppl are waiting unnecessarily. Letting the fish etc sit in the hot cupboard ads to the product. Food was disappointing fish split in two, no seasoning in the batter runny and little on the fish

Really poor quality food. Oil desperately needs changing, all food came out black like it was cooked in old engine oil which in turn made everything taste the same, bland. Shame, as the website is well done with easy ordering and online payment. Highly recommend going elsewhere.

I have used Lizzys for a couple of years and only just read all the reviews. This is a great chippy with good sized portions. its carefully made so expect and plan around a wait on sunny bank holidays....just like any other good chippy. Its not a McDonalds.

Great website and so good to be able to order online. They kept us informed about time which was great. Sadly though the fish was very watery and tasteless. Rather underdone maybe or not cooked hot enough. The beer batter was soft and also flavourless which is a shame. Chips were good though! Not greasy and good portion sizes.

What a lovely meal. I am renown for being fussy and I dont usually eat my batter but this was lovely. Fish was so tender. It does state it is done by weight so may be a big bit or a few smaller bits. Batter crispy, chips perfect not to fat. Got to add my own salt and vinegar. Curry sauce ok Portions huge seeing as I ordered small it defeated me. Definitely will visit when down here again. Very reasonable price wise

Visiting friends on the island and fancied a chippy. They have used it a few times before. Love that you can order on an app and pay online. Literally 3 minutes after ordering they told us to collect in 25 minutes which was perfect. Food decent quality for a chippy and this ranged from cod, to battered sausage, chips and kiddies meals. Reasonable prices and would recommend. Will be back

We stumbled across this little fish/chip/kebab take away by chance .... So glad we did.... they cook from fresh to order, so yes a 10 - 15 min wait, but so worth it. The chicken kebab i had was cooked to perfection & so succulent - a lovely amount of salad taboot. My husband had a doner, and he said it was better than he had ever tasted (& he loves his doner kebab !!). Of course the location is a plus, as we drove to the seafront to eat our food overlooking the stunning beach. Actually went there twice in our time spent there, so please give it a try, as we cannot understand the negative comments here. Plus the gentleman who served us both times, was extremely friendly and chatty. Cannot fault this place at all... thank you for a yummy experience.

Would not recommend this place at all. Ordered 4 cods which came in 8 or 9 different pieces varying in size and consisted of very little fish but lots of batter. Chips were cold also. We also had to wait 30 mins for this substandard meal. In future will go else where on the island

We popped in on Friday night and ordered chips, fish, scampi and 4 rolls to make chip butties. Myself, my husband and both our kids couldn't eat more than a few mouthfuls as the margarine was so disgusting. On the menu it says buttered roll which just isn't true as it certainly wasn't butter. We all threw them in the bin. We would have been much happier with just a plain roll instead. Chips were fine. Scampi over cooked. Fish OK but not the best batter. Not the most successful of meals unfortunately.

My family and I were visiting some friends in Hayling Island on Sunday 25th Feb. on the way back home we decided to get some food in us as we had a long drive back to London, we found Lizzy's open and decided to give it a go and its a decision we never regret. my wife and I had Fish & chips and our 2 children had the homemade cheeseburger and chips and we all loved it. unfortunately, I don't live on Hayling Island, but I am sure whenever we visit this beautiful place again we will eat at Lizzy's

Food took 45 mins to arrive, which is perfectly fine - thats what they said it would take. My issues are with the Chicken Shish, which didnt look nice at all, and tasted worse - it went in the bin. Also, the burger I ordered was to be without sauce - it came covered in it - again, in the bin with it. The chips were OK, so they were not binned. I wont be ordering from there again. Very unimpressed with the quality of the food.

Possibly the worst food I have ever seen I’m my life I got home opened the box to see what mess was in the box the kebab meat was like something I had never seen b4 it was grey thick and tasteless I attempted to eat it and it feel apart like dog meat, I took it back to the shop and the own asked what up with it so I told him with this he told me he makes the kebab meat himself to this I was completely shocked... do not go here as I will never be returning

Recently changed from The Island to Lizzy’s. Loved The Island so really worried, however, the quality is just as good, and now they do Kebabs. The Kebabs are enormous and really good quality, not a grease spot in site. The fish is cooked in a really light batter and the chips are proper. The only criticism is the portions are rather extremely generous.

Loads of options here - a really extensive menu (choose from kebabs, fish, burgers etc. plus sides) and all freshly cooked by friendly staff. What's not to like?

The Ferryboat Inn is beautifully-situated beside the sea at the westernmost extremity of Hayling Island, where a narrow tidal channel separates it from nearby Portsea Island, upon which the "Great Waterfront City of Portsmouth" stands. Most people who visit the Ferryboat Inn will come by motor car as there is a large, paid car park adjacent to the pub. It's also possible to get there by cycling, or walking, along the disused Hayling Billy line from Havant. There is a frequent road 'bus service from Havant to Hayling seafront but the nearest stop is a fifteen-minute walk from the pub. Alternatively, the No. 25 'bus service from the Hard Interchange in Portsmouth sets down at Eastney Lifeboat Station, from where it's possible to catch the hourly ferry sailing (Adult Single ticket GBP 3:50) to Hayling Island. The Ferryboat Inn, part of the Stonegate pub chain, gets very busy during Summer weekends as it's convenient for those who wish to walk or swim at Hayling beach, It's also very popular with watersports enthusiasts, and those who patronise the nearby Golf Course. The wait for food, if you wanted to eat at a table inside, was about an hour when I arrived on Saturday lunchtime so I bought a large, fried Cod and Chips from the pub's takeaway chippy and ate it at an outside table overlooking the entrance to Langstone Harbour. If it's a windy day and you wish to eat inside, a plate of hearty Sausage and Mash will set you back GBP 14:50 whilst a Lamb Shank costs GBP 17:50. There is a good range of food and drink on offer with a 175ml glass of red or white house wine coming in at well under a fiver. Food is served from 12:00-21:00 on Saturdays and from 12:00-19:00 on Sundays.

This is my local Wetherspoons whichwas visited by my wife and I yesterday at 4.30pm. It was noisier than usual which was due to the England New Zealand rugby match. We also used the App in here and the service was super fast which was good given the queue at the bar. Overall a great Wetherspoons experience and good value for money.
