Great fish and chips freshly cooked

Popped in this evening as staying at my dad’s around the corner. Chips were fresh & crispy with plenty of cheese on them as at a decent price so will deffo be returning,

Very disappointed to find it closed before closing time stated on website took my custom elsewhere. This is not the 1st time.

It's our go to chippy fresh fish not over priced chip amazing staff are great must go to if your near by you won't be disappointed

Good food, not too badly priced a bit of a long wait from ordering - I think it's due to it being all made to order. Overall, it's a nice chippy!

Arrived today on holiday and seen chippy on here so thought try as reviews good. Ordered fish and chips, battered sausage all cooked fresh. Staff polite and even offered wrap up food separate as was sharing. Food tasted good,best chips had in long time. Will be going back!

Freshly cooked to order we had haddock and chips. All piping hot. The batter was light and crispy. Prices were good. Best fish and chips we've had in quite a while. Leave your holiday resort and support this local business.

Really good chippie. Friendly people. Portions were about what I’d expect, not mean at all. Whoever’s doing the frying knows their game because the chips and the fish were the perfect blend of crisp and soft. Only holding back on 5 stars as the chips & fish could have more flavour, but it’s a solid recommendation from me either way. 1 million percent better than the on-site haven chip shop either way lol

First time I've been but it was lovely and the staff were very friendly and they couldn't do enough for their customers.

Very nice, chip portions very small compared to other chip shops locally. We've been here twice and on both occasions service was extremely slow. Very clean, food very nice, worth the wait.

Fish and chips doesn’t get much better.

Rude and ignorant staff, fish strong smalling and unlikely to be fresh. Gentleman (possibly the owner) served regulars before ourselves. Generally not good far from being an enjoyable experience or meal.

Worst fish and chips I’ve had in years. Thin, barely there batter. Skin still on the fish. Greasy, soggy chips. Same price as other chips shops in town who are far, far superior

I ordered a large and regular haddock and chips and waited for them to be cooked. The shop was extremely busy and the staff were efficient and speedy in getting the orders served. The fish was delightful! cooked perfectly and had a really crisp Batter. The chips were great and not soggy Will definitely be returning before we leave the camp next week

£28.90!!!! paid, for two medium cod and chips and pot of curry sauce! Food average - nothing special. Expensive, won't be returning!

Great fish and chips, all made fresh on order and very tasty. Kids loved it and all different types of fish as well. Very pleasant definitely worth a visit and worth the wait whilst food is cooked fresh from ordering.

Food is awful and off. The cod was not cod and unidentifiable due to the smell ofoff fish ie ammonia. The owner is rude and should not be in business.

I stayed the Whitsun weekend with my sister and her her family in Exmouth. On Saturday evening, we chose to have a fish and chip supper. Food was freshly cooked and served hot.

Very quick, good service and tasty food. Will be going back next time we are down in Devon.

Beautiful freshly cooked cod a decent savaloy and nice spicy curry sauce but unfortunately let down by soggy chips Hopefully next time the chips will be as good as the rest of the food

Everything was cooked fresh. The chips were lovely and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The coating on the fish and battered sausage was lovely and crispy and the portions were generous. I don't think the reviews on here do it justice, I went in with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

This is the third time that I have been here and all have been a disappointment with the service. First time I waited for 20 minutes for 2 meals with only 2 other people waiting. Second time I waited for 15 minutes and they gave my meal to another customer and had to wait a further 10 minutes until I received it. Third time which was tonight, waited 33 minutes for 2 meals, there was only 2 other people before me and one of them was getting their meal at the time and the excuse was that they ran out of chips. The fish and chip shop is very convenient to where we live, but from now on I will be driving into town and go to other fish and chip shops where you don't have to wait so long.

A small cod that tasted of ammonia and was therefore completely inedible. What I thought was a lovely fish and chip shop, it was a Monday night and not busy. I was served with a small cod that tasted and smelt of ammonia and therefore I was unable to consume it, I did think about returning it, however the thought of returning the cod and speaking to the chip shop staff made me feel that they must have known the fish was off and therefore why bother. So I decided to write this review. I am staying with my aunt and uncle aged 85 and this is their local shop, what if they had eaten this fish and fell ill, how would food poisioning have affected them. It’s just not good enough. I come from The catering trade, fish smells off before you cook it; it still smells off when you cook it. I don’t think there is an excuse for making old vulnerable people ill. I do hope you change your current food storage practice.

Spent £30 + for fish & chips for wife and kids. The cod was totally and utterly tasteless, really odd, and had a weird ammonia smell. Not sure if it was the fish or the batter/ oil but it wasn't nice. Not like any cod I've tasted! We ended up binning it and feeling ripped off.

Excellent fish and chips. Chip are crispy and not soggy, fish portion are very big. You can pre order and service is very good

We bought 4 regular cod and chips on 18th March chips were fine but the cod was thin and very dry with no taste at all and very thick batter as we had to wait while the cod was fried we thought this would be fresh and tasty bu this was not the case and at £10 each we will not be visiting again

I've been twice, once the first time food was excellent, the second time the fish was good but the chips were awful. They weren't cooked and very greasy. Hope it reverts to the former as planning to return on Saturday.

Placed a large order on Saturday night and waited while everything was freshly cooked in front of me. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted excellent. This was the best fish and chips I've had in Exmouth. Great food at a great price. I will definitely be back.

Wow!! What can I say about the size of the large fish?? But huge I mean at least twice the size of a large fish back in Telford!! And it was cooked nicely and the curry sauce was a strange taste to start but it grew on us and in fact was bloody lovely.every thing was cooked perfectly not grease covered.

The first thing I noticed upon entering Littleham fish & chip shop was that the miserable bloke serving (pretty sure he was the owner) wasn't wearing a mask despite there being a notice on the door requesting that people wear masks! He was incredibly unfriendly, (I cannot believe that someone like him serves customers..very off-putting) but we shrugged it off as we were just looking forward to our fish and chips. We waited while they were being cooked (thinking it was all going to taste amazing..how very disappointed we were!) The fish was the worst I have tasted and wasn't lovely white chunks like it should have been (was more of a mushy consistency) hidden in a large amount of batter..chips were just okay, although very greasy. We will not be returning!

The owner was the must miserable person I have meet on my holiday in Devon. Thought we would get some fish and chips from a local shop just wished we read the views about this horrible shop. The cod was terrible I say it was 20% fish and 80% batter the fish was mushy not chunky like it should be.

Fantastic chip's, cod was coated in a very very light batter and was filled with chunky white flakes, absolutely amazing, we were visiting my father in law who lives very close which is why we chose to use this chippy, we were not disappointed, ignore the stupid comments and pay a visit, I will be returning

We thought we would try local instead of the holiday park and was very disappointed there were Unhelpful staff and tasteless food no flavour to your battered items or chips your queue & waiting system is terrible too definitely won't be returning again.

Stayed at Devon Cliffs so wanted to get some fish and chips from a local takeaway and this didn’t disappoint. Arrived a bit early but the owner was friendly and had to wait 10 mins but it was worth the wait. Had 2 large cods which were cooked fresh. Chips were superb. Curry sauce was banging (proper thick!!) and great portion sizes. Also takes contactless payment. Would highly recommend and will be coming here again.
