Little Jack Fullers in Brighton and Hove

WARNIN. For the THIRD time on a SATURDAY in as many months the advertised OPENING TIMES times [both online & shop door - say Tues-Sat closing - first session - at 2.30pm] were not to be trusted. Each time I’ve got off work about 1.30, ready & willing to reach LJF by 2pm. Each time, right next to the opening times, has been s a note saying ‘WE ARE CLOSED’. So, CALL first! The current operation took over a couple of years ago from consistent, excellent [owner?] staff. In the new operations first year I was able to snag food, and the quality was fine, however, that’s no consolation. Won’t be trying to spend my money there again. Third time, & they’re out.

Little Jack Fullers no es el típico chippie. Con un menú de lujo con múltiples opciones de pescado y guisantes blandos de menta de alta calidad, nunca me ha decepcionado.Una fantástica tienda de patatas fritas en Kemptown con personal profesional de aspecto limpio y un producto delicioso en oferta. Tan feliz de vivir solo en la calle y tener este lujo como mi local.¡Gracias Little Jack Fullers, eres genial! !¡El combo de calamares y rape es el indicado! ! !

Un pequeño lugar fantástico con pescado y patatas fritas siempre recién preparado a pedido y a la perfección. Patatas fritas crujientes y muy sabrosas! Debido a que se cocinan frescos, tenga paciencia, ya que pueden tardar unos minutos en servir cuando están ocupados, pero vale la pena esperar. Recomiendo el bacalao normal o los pasteles de pescado y las combinaciones de calamares / rape, ¡además de mayonesa de ajo casera es increíble!

A mis amigos y a mí nos apetecía un pescado con patatas fritas junto al mar, y encontramos este restaurante en línea, justo al lado de la playa. A diferencia de los lugares de trampa para turistas en el muelle o en el paseo marítimo, esta tienda de pescado y patatas fritas cocinaba nuestro pescado y patatas fritas a pedido, por lo que todo estaba bien caliente y completamente fresco. Great fish and chips: order in advance and it will be freshly cooked spot on time. Payment by cash or card and after 6:00pm there’s usually parking space available. Recommended.

Una de las mejores comidas de pescado y patatas fritas que hemos tenido. Fuimos por la solla que estaba maltratada y frita enfrente de nosotros. También es un paseo muy corto a la playa para que pueda llevar su comida allí. ¡Asegúrate de que también obtienes una olla de su salsa tártara casera!

Thought I’d check out Little Jack Fuller’s this evening and came out with what has to be the best fish and chips I’ve had in many many years. Delicious fresh haddock in light crispy batter, chips golden brown and crisp with a light fluffy centre. Just the way they should be! All freshly cooked & piping hot. Top marks from me to Little Jack Fuller’s. Very happy customer and will return very soon! Highly recommend this place!

The owner knows his chips. One of the best I have ever tasted. Can not wait until I am hungry again. The batter was light and the whole meal was not greasy or heavy. Highest quality gourmet food.

Vegan night was fabulous. A real treat. Had crunchy breaded jackfruit, crispy battered banana blossom, wonderful battered tofu with seaweed plus chips and mushy peas. All was beautifully cooked and seasoned. Just wonderful.

Found this by using trip advisor. Great food and freshly cooked to order. Not too far to walk to the beach!

on our last night of our short stay in Brighton we came across this small fish & chip shop in st James street a good selection of fresh fish we chose the cod and it was cooked to perfection the chips were perfect as good as you would get anywhere would fully recommend

This is the second time that me and my girlfriend have visited Little Jack Fullers for vegan Wednesdays and we were not disappointed! We went for the vegan tofu fish and chips with a side of vegan calamari which was all perfectly battered of course and the chips were cooked to perfection. All in all a very pleasant experience and me and the mrs are well and truly stuffed! Roll on next week is all I can say!

So far the best fish and chip shop Iv had and Iv tried a few very quick service, polite people serving you the food is lovely big portions even for small.

Really great vegan fish and chips on a Wednesday - I particularly like the deep fried banana blossom. It's always good quality and well priced Get there early because it gets busy.

Came across this place while out with my family and I’m so happy we did. Honestly, some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The batter was so light and didn’t give you that heavy feeling after. The shop was incredibly clean and the portions were generous. Will be back.

I'm so happy to have this place down the road from me! The fish is so fresh and the batter follows suit. Not greasy or oily. Very reasonably priced, lovely home mad sauces and friendly, accommodating staff. A firm favourite :)

If You Want Lovely Fresh Fish & Chips, This is the place to go, Along With A Great Traditional Section Of Other Chip shop Favourites, Battered Sausage, Saveloy, Mushy Peas, etc.. Very Helpful Service, very clean, Fresh Oil... Lovely.

Now let me tell you something... I've eaten in a lot of fish n chip shops over the years. Frydays (on the former site) was always good, but this is next level. These guys take a lot of pride in what they do, are serving more than the usual cod n chips (they have an extensive fish menu), the quality is excellent, everything cooked to order and it's all delicious. On Wednesday they do a vegetarian/vegan menu in addition (didn't try but looked very interesting). Probably the best chippie I've ever been to.

This place is superb- great range of fish - cod, haddock, skate , Huss, plaice, monkfish and even soft shell crab. Everything is from day boats and is super fresh and only cooked to order. Well worth supporting if your a local or visiting if your from out of town. Well done lads!

Very good fish and chip shop indeed, well cooked fish and chips, varied and interesting menu, more than your standard menu, line-caught and local fish, homemade sauces, all at very reasonable prices, friendly staff, much better than lots of other fish and chip establishments in the area
