Only one cook for a quite busy place waited over 30 mins for breakfast and when it arrived our coffees were long drunk poor service shame as food was good

We have been many times and never disappointed.the food is freshly cooked hot and tasty when served.the staff are very friendly and helpful..well worth trying if you havent.we will be back soon.thankyou all.

After visiting before on a few biker meets, we decided to visit for breakfast en route to a car show. Staff are friendly and helpful. Amendments to our breakfast are no hassle, and having a drink included is always a bonus. For me being a fussy vegetarian, the veggie breakfast is awesome. No processed soya foods used. You can even have chips at 9 in the morning if you so wish.

Popped in for a breakfast as a family and was very pleased with how friendly the staff were, food was very nicely cooked, presented and priced. Felt like we only waited 5 minutes for the food and the order was all correct. Proper breakfast 👍

The bake beens on the breakfast came out cold along with the tin tomatos were stone cold and had to ask for it to be warm up the forks were not clean with old food between the fork prongs ask for clean ones was told it was water marks I said to the lady working there look again and she was disgusted in what she saw Bad service as well we will not be back shame as a nice place to sit outside of with food

Having been coming here for many months/years, we have noticed a steady decline in hygiene. Sauce bottles not cleaned, salt and pepper shakers sticky, spoons and cups always stained, not properly cleaned along with plates and cutlery , i'm not certain how this establishment has a food hygiene rating of 5! Today it got worse, i noted one of the staff sneeze into his hand, then after a very short period of time without washing his hands scratch his ear and touch his hair. Its a shame because overall the breakfast was good, and the coffee has certainly improved. There are some serious issues which need to be sorted out here, until then we will not be coming back. I will only assume that all staff members have done their basic food hygiene course, but from what i saw today i'm not sure!!

Unclean as previously mentioned in a review. I’m all for supporting independent, local businesses but I also refuse to do so if it means accepting unsanitary, port quality offerings. If early enough, you are better off choosing to select more chain offerings nearby. Photo is of coffee (not tea) where I estimate less than a single bean has been used for multiple coffees - weak, flavourless and lukewarm.

Thank goodness Donna is back running the kitchen. She really is a huge asset to this establishment. All the staff are very polite and helpful will be returning many more times.

The staff went out of their way to help us when my daughter dropped my wedding ring though the decking. the owner and his wife couldn't have been more helpful

Lovely cafe just off Cophall roundabout. Really good lunch and friendly staff. Good prices too! Well organised for social distancing etc.

We have visited before and know they shut at 4pm so, at 3.10pm called to ask if the breakfast was all day. We were told it was but the kitchen was now closed. We drove past a 3.20pm. So 40 minutes wasn't long enough for them to cook a meal and for us to eat it.

Friendly staff and food came quickly. Food quality very good and reasonable prices. Will definitely return.

We have visited several times & have never been disappointed. There's a good selection and I usually construct my own breakfast from the options on the menu. The food is always hot, great quality and not swimming in grease. We've visited a few other places locally which serve breakfast butbin my opinion this is the best and is also great value for money.

Very friendly staff lovely fresh cooked food.Food was cooked as I was drinking my tea and was on the table in no time.Will be going back to try something different. I had a breakfast and could not fault it.There was a comment about cleaning made back in January but I saw no evidence of this.

Me negué a comer aquí ya que todo estaba cubierto de tierra. Los condimentos tenían bolas de mantequilla y grasa sobre ellos donde la gente los había usado, mi mesa tenía trozos de comida pegados (y aún así era el más limpio), y olía a grasa. Los menús estaban manchados y rasgados y las ventanas también estaban completamente cubiertas de tierra. Solo cosas buenas fueron que la comida llegó rápido y el resto de mi familia dijo que sabía bien. No volvería, el lugar me dio ganas de vomitar debido a toda la suciedad.

Mi esposo y yo desayunamos en esta encantadora cafetería mientras nos hospedábamos en el Premier Inn y no nos decepcionó. La comida se cocina a pedido con ingredientes de calidad. Es muy limpio y los precios son muy razonables. Dos desayunos y dos copas para 10! ! Sin duda no dudaré de comer aquí de nuevo.

What a little gem tucked away off the Cophall Roundabout! Breakfast is really good especially the healthy option of fresh fruit and eggs -anyway -on toast! Staff friendly, clean surroundings, they cater for everyone with their good menu. Children’s toys outside with bowls for dogs if you are from the nearby cuckoo trail. Really worth a visit!

We looked for somewhere to have lunch and could not have done better. The sausage baguette was delicious and the staff very welcoming and friendly.

Usually they serve a lovely breakfast but on this occaision the food was very greasy and left both my husband and i with upset tummys lets hope if we visit again there will be a better chef and the food not greasy

I have been coming here on and off a lot over the years and the staff are so pleasant and accommodating, the food always delicious and perfectly cooked. Spacious airy and nice clean surroundings and always good presented and clean food.

He estado aquí un par de veces y nunca deja de sorprendernos. Las bebidas fueron traídas a nuestra mesa justo cuando nos quitábamos los abrigos para sentarnos, nuestro desayuno seguido casi directamente después. La comida siempre es consistente, el personal es amable y eficiente. Este tipo de servicio significaba que podíamos disfrutar de otra ronda de bebidas y compañía mutua.

Para algunas compras navideñas en Eastbourne, pensé que comenzaríamos con un abundante desayuno y no nos decepcionó. Buen desayuno limpio a un precio promedio. Insignia de 5 estrellas para los estándares en el lugar del consejo era limpio y acogedor. La comida salió caliente y una gran taza humeante de té acompañando. Vale la pena una gota en si planea un día de compras.

From the moment I walked in staff were very friendly and helpful, and within 5 minutes of sitting down my breakfast was presented to me. Very tasty, hot, well cooked ...and... real sausages! Always a bonus not to be served up the cheap budget options that many cafes choose to use.

Made a mistake of arranging to meet friends further down at the treacle mine, unfortunately we arrived later than anticipated. Our friends were already eating and were told we could only have continental breakfast, I actually found the member of staff to be quite rude in her tone. So we ended up going to lite bites, as we've been there before and never disappointed. The young lady serving behind the counter greeted us the moment we came through the door. Directed us to a table which had just become available , cleared and wiped it. Yet again a lovely breakfast, our friends then came and joined us for a coffee. We all agreed next time just to meet here instead .

Staff are always welcoming and very hard working whenever we seem to visit. I normally have a breakfast but this time as the sun was shining so I opted for a jacket with tuna mayo . Absolutely beautifully presented , too good to eat! But I did as I was hungry. A nice touch of homemade coleslaw on the side .

The staff were very accommodating and polite. We were served by a lovely lady. Everything was clean, the food was great and the service was thorough. Couldn't fault anything and will definitely visit again when nearby.

Popped in for a takeaway as we had missed breakfast at our hotel next door. we got served pretty quick but had to wait nearly 20 minutes for 2 bacon sandwiches. whilst waiting at the front of the cafe you can see right into the kitchen where everything is being prepared I noticed a older lady who was helping with plating up doing things that shouldn't be happening when handling food. I noticed that she kept moving her hair from her eyes as she did not have a hair net on and then she started to butter some toast and got butter on her fingers I thought she was just going to wipe it off but instead she started to lick her fingers not good so glad she was not making my food after seeing that Asked the young lady doing the till to sort my food out. Unfortunately when the council give out the hygiene ratings they do not see things like this. The bacon and sausages are all pre cooked and put into metal containers to keep warm how long does it take to cook bacon on a hot plate. Glad I will not be eating at this place again as the standards are quite low.

Yes nice and clean. Quiet for a Sunday morning when the boot fair was on next door so that was good. Friendly enough staff, not the cheapest but good didn't seem cheap either so don't mind that. Will go again no problem. Filled a hole!

Visited this place purely by chance ,we were just in the process of turning around. But noticed how many people were entering this little place. Must admit it didn't take much to persuade the wife of not going to the "big M". So glad we did, they were very busy when we entered and only three ladies working a small area . We were acknowledged straight away and directed to the menus. Ordering was made very simple and making changes to a breakfast was no problem at all. We were given a spoon with a number and a waiting time . The cafe was full and at one point customers were waiting for tables. The young lady that served us was bringing drinks and food out as well s clearing on her way back. What was really nice was she would keep customers updated with whereabouts they were in the process of cooking their food . Nothing was too much trouble for all three members of staff and they were continuously joking and laughing with customers. We both had a pleasant experience and thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts.

Have visited this cafe in numerous occasions over the years. The breakfasts are awesome. Freshly cooked and a perfect start to the day. The ingredients are fresh and not caped in oils etc. Highly recommended

Between the miserable waitress, who when placing food left it on the opposite side to where I was sitting. Then there was the screeching baby, who would not shut up due to parents who cannot control their kids. Felt like I was in a live episode of benefit Britain, however the camera filming was not present. Resulting in a bottle of coke being knocked off and spraying everywhere.Food is average at best, frozen hash browns and saute potatos. Cheap sausages.Would have much rather vomitted up last nights food and beers and had a soup for breakfast.Waste of £10 would rather have given it to one of the benefit Britain families so they can spend it on their drug addictions.

Come here as often as possible food is always hot well cooked and staff are always polite and efficient on Sundays during the summer there is a bootfair in the fields opposite also a petrol station nearby best new feature is there a card machine toilets also on site and outside seating areas! Visitors to the area this place is well recommend

Having started the day early, I decided to take a break and go to the cafe. As usual the food was excellent and the staff always friendly and welcoming. I have been coming to this cafe for some years and have never had a bad breakfast or had cause to complain. Excellent value and. A good freshly cooked breakfast, highly recommended

At the rear of the service area, this is a great place for a breakfast stop. The the food is excellent for the price, and the staff are always helpful if you desire a slight change from the standard menu.I don't get here often enough, and friends are always glad when I introduce them to this breakfast stop.

Came here to meet a friend as I left Eastbourne some years ago and rarely get back. We used to come on a Sunday morning because the food was good and the location was good for us.Young woman wearing a headscarf was a shining example of how not to serve people. My friend and I both laughed out loud because we thought that this must be some sort of joke. She never looked at me, she snatched the money from me, never said please or thank you and huffed and puffed throughout the entire transaction. I assume she must be deaf because she asked me to repeat my order a number of times. The tables were grubby, the condiments filthy and the atmosphere in the kitchen was terrible. I will never ever ever return here. It's an utter disgrace of a place. I feel sorry for the lady doing the cooking because she seemed embarrassed at her colleagues total incompetence.If this lady worked for me I would have had her removed in an instant as she is damaging the business.Disaster!

Things were grim when we first walked in, a begrudging greeting by three women who looked like they would rather be anywhere else than at work. Walked into a stark, empty seating area. Menus were grubby, as were the condiments. Cutlery wrapped in a serviette that appeared to be sealed shut but no apparent indication of how they were sealed; initially it looked as if the serviette had been licked and stuck down. Food arrived, looking very lack lustre and as if it had been thrown together by a surrealist painter. Lukewarm food, cold plates, general grubbiness all contributed to a grim experience.

Spotted this little cafe at the end of a cul-de-sac at Polegate Services. We were staying in Polegate Premier Inn and decided to give this independent café a try for breakfast.We had a full English on a Saturday at 11am it was less than £5 each including tea or coffee and toast. There were also different breakfast sizes, sandwiches, salads, cakes etc.This was cheaper than the £8+ Premier Inn Breakfast offeringIt was worth the 10 minute wait for the freshly cooked breakfast, this is not fast food!.The staff were friendly and attentive Outdoor seating also available. The cafe is very popular with the locals I'm told. Nice clean toilets and biker friendly from what I could see.Will return - a little gem!Seagulls found it popular eating bits of left overs outside off tables!

Called there today for a take away tuna sandwich, simple you would think...but after paying up front I was informed to take a seat in the restaurant as it would take 5 mins, fair enough.....however 10 minutes later I went to the counter and they had only just got the bread out, as I had appointment and there was a queue i had to leave, minus my £2.80 by the way.I will not return again..........

Good food served quickly. Very pleasant young man, on his own, behind the counter. Clean and tidy. Well...perhaps the cruet sets could be wiped over more often.

Had arranged to meet up at the Treacle Mine for breakfast but was swayed against it when Lite Bites was highly recommended by a regular...and apparently the Treacle Mine is not that good now.We were not disappointed. Four hungry people, all had different fry-ups, all cooked really well, and great quality of bacon , eggs and sausage. All served with toast of your choice and a big mug of tea. £4.50 average price. These kind of places are normally famous for greasy food but these were cooked really well, more of a healthy cooked breakfast and we were all set up for the day. Very efficient, well run and clean. Would definitely go again....and recommend.

We were 'traffic weary hungry and thirsty and we needed more fuel, while in the garage I looked past the big chain foodies and saw 'Lite Bites' which is exactly what we wanted - we were not disappointed. our choich of bacon, eggs etc which was cooked as we waited and served with a nice cup of coffee. Nice coffee but no little cream pots so just milk. That was the onlyest thing. The food was excellent and the ladies were very pleasant friendly, chatty and helpful. It cheered us up no end and filled us up too.

My family and I visited Lite Bites while in Eastbourne last week.2 Tuna Mayo sandwiches. 2 Bacon sandwiches. 3 Teas and a Latte.Price £16.We all enjoyed our meal. Very tasty.Quick service.Would visit again.

We love going here and the cheese omelettes are lovely and fluffy. Chunky chips or hash browns, fresh or tinned tomatoes to go with a superb fry up. YUM!

Went here on Saturday for breakfast, was empty when we arrived but soon filled up after us. We were a family group of 7, while other tables were smaller. Obviously our order was larger than other tables but it did seem that this meant we were lower priority as tables that ordered after us got their food quicker. When the food did arrive it was luke warm at best. When ordering the breakfasts we asked for "2 number '1's with Hash Browns", only 1 arrived with hash browns so we repeatedly chased up our order. When the lady bought the hash browns she stated in quite an accusatory way that "only 1 lot was written down" - surely something that she should raise with the member of staff who took the order and the further requests for the missing food item than the customer? Her manner was such that I did question whether it was wise to eat them!All set breakfasts (we ordered 4) come with choice of tea or coffee, however we had to chase up a cup of tea 3 times, when it did arrive it was black with the tea bag still in it so we then had to repeatedly ask for the milk, as well as chasing up the 3 other drinks we ordered.Prices were pretty standard compared to other cafes but taking whole experience into account definitely not worth the money.

We had two breakfasts here on consecutive days and found the food to be basic but very good value. Service was speedy and the staff friendly. Would visit again if in the area.

Went there this morning to grab something to eat as I had been out the night before and was craving something that only this place could do. The meal sizes are perfect, the tea was amazing and food isn't too greasy, perfect!

Situated behind and on the opposite side at the end of the road to Mc Donalds restaurant is this great little eatery. It is what you would expect of a diner with the exception of a vast menu. Another difference is that the food is GREAT and a big plus for us is that they do gluten free options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are happy to assist with dietary choices. The even phoned a supplier to check if Gluten was in their product. Business people, truckers, and families seem to frequent it. There is parking right outside the door. Really good overall.
