Cold day, door propped open. Was told to take a seat so assumed table service. After sitting for a while, I asked if I should order at the bar. Specifically asked if it was butter or margarine on the jacket potato as I have allergies to margarine. Was told both and was shown the butter which I appreciated. Specifically asked for no salad as again because of allergies. Also ordered child’s sausage and chips. After 25 minutes the kids food arrived. Sausage was burnt (was told this is how you cook Cumberland sausage). Chips were completely dry and cold. Took this back to the serving hatch. Chef apologised. Jacket potato arrived with a lump of margarine on the plate and salad. At that point I left. I can honestly say this is the worst place I have ever been served at. It’s not cheap either. Jacket 8.00 plus £2 per extra topping.

This place was bizarre. Man walking around with hat and man bag counting cash making weird comments. Menus we’re sticky and didn’t make sense. The girl at the counter didn’t have a clue was away with the fairy’s. The food was basic, no garnish. The butter was disgusting they need to change it. Expensive for what it is. It was just weird looks nice but I wouldn’t go back customer service and food poor

I come here every week because i’m allowed to bring my dog with me into the dog friendly area, it’s brilliant. The staff are friendly and the food is great.

Outstanding food (especially the house smoked pork and chicken), lovely customer service, and excellent value for money. Welcoming environment and staff. Thoroughly recommend.
