Lil Greens in Warwick

Popped in for some food, well worst we've had , chilli that was more of a soup, salmon pasta was like salmon paste, staff uninterested , had to go search for our own cutlery, looked confused when we asked for condiments, please don't waste your money, plenty of NICE options in Kenilworth.

This place was spot on. Food and service was great. Very relaxing décor/ restaurant. My steak was cooked to perfection

Vegan options but not vegan friendly!! Ordered vegan sausage and chips for my daughter and they gave her meat sausages! Ordered vegan breakfast for myself and my husband, it was mediocre. Then half way through eating we found bacon in the plate. Bacon in a vegan breakfast! It’s appalling!

We had good pleasant service from the girls, a credit to you. But I have to say the seating is so uncomfortable and the long settees don't lend themselves to conversation as they are so far apart you have to shout, other problem is you get a crick in your neck after a while as your posture is always at an angle. Very hard going if there is 4 of us. The upstairs is far more pleasant but wasn't open at the time we were there, although the girls did ask us later if we would like to move but by this time we were about to leave. We like coming in so any thoughts on comfy seats? Came in for after work drinks only.

I used to love coming to lil greens for breakfast and a gd steak, it has abosutley gone down hill, we went for breakfast last week, the bacon and sauages was just about cooked and my god u could tell, even though we waited awhile I was expecting a piping hot meal, what I got was toast cooked on one side, and egg cup size portion of beans that where tepid, surely thats the most easiest thing to cook? my bacon fat was still white and not cooked, my sauages where still pale and clearly someone needed to check they where done because they where cut for me....and how can u get eggs so wrong? The black pudding was like cardboard And why have u stopped the sillet pans? I didn't complain at the time because I really couldn't be bothered, however when at the till I did say what my issues where, unfortunately we won't be returning.

Bistro restaurant with a good cocktail menu.

Came for a birthday lunch with my mum but really wish we had gone somewhere else. The food was awful, had to send back the meal as the chef can’t cook a steak waited 40 minutes for our food and the place wasn’t even busy. It was freezing cold, the music was off then on like it was just playing off someone phone so absolutely no atmosphere and a dog that wouldn’t stop barking. Felt sorry for the waiting staff because we weren’t the only ones complaining, but do have to say they doubt with it very well. Wish I could have wrote a better review as the place is stunning !

Such a shame as I’ve never had a bad meal at lil greens but tonight was poor, firstly no cutlery for 10 mins after the first plate was served so the food was cold when we got to eat, we all ordered lattice fries but were served normal chips and had to wait for the lattice fries, condiments took another 5 minutes after the cutlery. Then the most disappointing part is we mostly ordered burgers which were cold and extremely small and dry! What a disappointment Lil Greens! Service and quality has definitely gone down hill recently.

Probably the most lively venue in Kenilworth. Always busy and buzzing, noisy at times. Great for drinks with friends but we are not too keen on the food.

We got there when it opens at 10am. Ordered straight away but we don't understand how the food got to our table cold. Very disappointed.

Absolutely brilliant place - delicious food and very friendly staff. We were served by a very friendly young lady who made us feel very welcome. Brilliant price for such great food and service!

Such a shame, visited lil greens on numerous occasions, always found the food lovely but the service always lacks immensely.. today popped in for a quick drink and a bite to eat. Lacking in bar service, slow & incompetent service! Table bookings requested online day before not acknowledged! - by other users (not myself) staff who clearly would rather be somewhere else than serving customers! No structure between dining/pub! Waited 5 minutes to be served with only one other person being served at the bar and four other members of staff polishing glass wear and chatting at the end of the bar! Waited 1hour 20mins for food with no acknowledgement of delay! Only to be informed 30 mins after a starter order (to arrive with mains!) the main items we ordered were not in stock! What! Honestly. Poor, poor service! Management clearly not able to run shift, assign job roles between bar/dining.. one young lad (very pleasant and enthusiastic) trying his best running around and delivering manger messages to unhappy customers! Clearly lacking in structure! Serious need of management over hall! Not one to leave reviews but one very frustrated customer.

I had my baby shower here and it was not set up, cleaned still previous baby shower drinks and buffet left out food all over floor just disgusting. Staff were useless didn’t clear up any of it me and mum took it upon our selves Later on in the evening men from a local rugby club came up the mezzanine which I paid to hire out started dancing taking the mic abit getting loud when there’s little kids around, none of the staff asked them to leave we asked them they started getting rowdy towards the men at the party still no staff then 2 of the men from the rugby club did very inappropriate sexual gestures towards 2 11 year old girls so for the safety of our girls we just wanted them to leave we asked and asked until they got to the bottom of the stairs the staff then appeared trying to calm them down and just kept offering my family a “fight” which was not happening as there’s kids around and it’s a baby shower eventually they did get kicked out but took over an hour for people/staff to actually listen to us with how they was behaving. I then put my complaint forward to katie the women who I booked through and her response was disgusting justifying the men’s behaviour and that we was rowdy as well we’ll wouldn’t you when your staff are no where to be seen and for the safety of children. Basically blamed me for booking my baby shower on a Saturday night in a “lively bar” which absolutely wasn’t lively downstairs probably about 10 people but yet when I booked it she didn’t have a problem with taking my money then and the only thing that resembled a baby shower was a balloon arch. For someone that’s works in the area and have family live in the area will never ever ever be coming again.

Popped in for brunch today. Staff very nice but food quality v poor, greasy fatty undercooked bacon (egg was returned as it was still raw) sandwich in white generic bread (menu stated bloomer) smothered in a nasty margarine. Veg breakfast was also very low quality ingredients, on a positive coffee was good!! The area we sat in was also dirty and generally run down with armchair arms gaffer taped up, condiments dirty with dried up sauce around the bottles and lids walls with food stains, just generally unpleasant.

Got the wrong food. Complained and expected to see management. Instead the manager stayed away from us, didn’t even look at us, no apology, no compensation and left the young staff to deal with it… Poor management in my opinion. The young servers did their best

We have eaten here at least twice a month,usually for Saturday lunch, since they opened. We collected weekly takeaways during lockdown. Apart from a couple of evening visits we have not been here at all this year. They started serving only brunch until 2pm.Nothing on that menu appeals.I understand that it may have increased their turnover,but we do miss our leisurely early lunch with drinks and coffee.

Good restaurant. A limited menu but nice food. Busy on Fridays and weekends so book.

First time visit recently and was fairly disappointed. Food very expensive for what it is. I had a bacon sandwich and it was 2 very fatty rashers of bacon and cost £5.95. Big thumbs down. Service was slow and even some of our groups meals got "forgotton". The cafe itself has a nice atmosphere and is clean and pretty inside but it needs to be more reasonable or upgrade the food quality.

2nd visit when i have pre-booked (once on the phone, the other online) and no record/prep for us when we got there; the place is looking grubby now inside - ripped chairs, outside eating area - cannot be arsed to keep it clean/tidy/brushed. Generally get the feeling they are not too bothered if you are there or if you stay ☹️

I havent eaten here, but have attended some open Mic nights. The venue is very smart, clean toilets, friendly. At the time of writing this review offers local singers or musicians the opportunity of playing and singing. Great venue.

Not over friendly, and the choice of menu was confusing. Our desserts took ages, and we had to ask for them. My Eton mess should have been strawberry, but they served me chocolate. I wasn't keen on it.

We loved coming here a few years back, good drinks and good live music on a Thursday. But a completely different place now. Full of youngsters dealing and using drugs. One of them bumped into us and became very aggressive. We won’t be visiting again.

me and some friends have been here for dinner and thought the drinks and food were very good so we decided to try their brunch too. it was a very hot day when we'd booked so was nice to sit inside in the lovely cool air conditioning! We placed our orders at the bar and i ordered a tea and Eggs Royale. when the food came out, everything we'd ordered looks very nice, was on hot places and tasted great! The drinks were nice too. The only criticism of my food was that the poached eggs on my Eggs Royale weren't runny at all, so a little overdone but i appreciate not everyone wants their eggs runny. The service overall was fine, friendly but i will say that all the staff are young and even though they were polite, the impression they gave off was that they didnt really want to be there and couldn't really be bothered. Going through the motions as such Would we go to Lil Greens again? Yes. But ive had better service experience and staff interactions elsewhere.

Steak is banging !! Burgers just average. I wish there was a better online menu, they catered to my gluten free friend the last time I went , cocktail offer times have altered slightly.

Don't bother popping in for a quick drink. We had been told 2for1 cocktails are Monday to Friday until 8pm. No, it's 7pm and we arrived a couple of minutes afterwards. Lovely sunny evening, great to have tables outside. Not busy, maybe 6 tables in use in the whole place. After 10 minutes no order taken, although drinks had been delivered to others at our table. Went inside, place an order for one cocktail and one mocktail (same basic drink), paid. And waited, and waited. Twice a waiter came out with one cocktail, each time the wrong one. Chased twice at the bar (bar staff were standing around doing nothing). 40 minutes it took for the drinks to arrive. Went elsewhere to eat and had a great meal. Your loss Lil Greens.

I came here with my daughter and grandson. Very accommodating for children. Loads of room for push chair. I would highly recommend the food, the service is the best I have seen in a long time in this area. I had the pri pri chicken kebab, it was a great portion and tasted lovely. Fantastic delicious food. Drinks were fab. I must say great staff both Sams were very accommodating.

Really good, find it odd that the brunch menu is served until 2pm and thats when the lunch menu is available.

Absolutely vile short staffed.Was going to order a burger and seen them bought out,cheese not melted into burger looked like a slab on a burnt burger!!So opted with a chicken kebab which was also disgusting didn’t eat it chips crap just a poor poor place to go to.Shame its not the jade anymore at least that was a good meal.

BAD FOOD! Thats to review! Soggy reheated packet pancakes drowned in syrup. Vegan sausage sandwich where the sausages are cut in half to make them go further so you are just eating a lot of bread. ALL FOOD CAME OUT COLD! Now you don't often get bad drinks but orange juice watered down with LOTS of ice. And tea that when you added the milk you got white floaters in the drink. IT REALLY WAS AWFUL. And then surprisingly the service was good. The staff were friendly. I dont recommend.

Came in here a while back for cocktails, really good value and tasted great. Re visited again yesterday with my toddler was very quiet but was during the week, staff friendly and welcoming but they need to update their breakfast menu prices, totally different to what it says online.

Me and wife reserved a table for 6.30pm on Sunday evening. It was very busy when we arrived with a warming friendly atmosphere. Went to the bar where we were directed to our table. Placed out order at the bar (cocktails got made upstairs) and didn't have long to wait for our cocktails and food. Food was fantastically presented and tasted great. Cocktails were strong but nice. We are down visiting from the north east and found this place great value for money.

I went there with my boyfriend for a quick breakfast...the cake was delicious...the table was dirty and nobody came to clean it . Very lovely mocha too ... shame that the service is not great but maybe was just too busy and we were not lucky...not sure though I would go back...

Cannot comment on the food as we didn't eat. The 2 for £12 cocktails were lovely. Service with a smile a day a polite apology re the wait for our drinks. 18 people had ordered cocktails before us. Definitely worth waiting.

That's the last time I'll eat here, breakfast came out, looked good, but only luke warm. No excuse as they weren't even busy!

Reserved a table for 5 for mum's birthday which I did online. Needed to add 2 more later a couple of days later. I emailed, DMed on insta and called several times with no response to check the extra numbers would be ok. Eventually I managed to get through and was told this would be ok, but it was slightly frustrating not to be able to get a response from anyone and we did nearly cancel the booking and go elsewhere. However, it did get sorted. The general feel of lil greens is lovely, the staff were really nice and the food was fantastic. Coffees were also great. Timings for getting the food out was also good: didn't feel rushed but didn't wait too long either. Overall, everyone had a really nice time and everyone enjoyed their breakfasts, so much so that me and my dad have returned since for breakfast and really enjoyed it again. The only slight let down I would say, which I was surprised at given how nice the interior of the pub is, was the toilets!!! They were clean but they just aren't very nice!!! However, it's a minor criticism, given everything else was great and I will definately return again.

I enjoy coming here during the day to sit with a coffee and do some reading. It's a really nice spot, although the tables are a bit sticky. A nice flat white and dog friendly too.

Terrible staff service. Sat quietly for an hour with my partner on an unreserved table when told/instructed we had to leave as the table was reserved. No sign of reserved at all! When the staff member was challenged over this was told if we don't leave security would be called. The supervisor arrived and to be fair was appilogetic but her staff are awful. Would not recommend going here as a couple for a quite drink as you won't get one

Tasty breakfast, served in a frying pan, and a lovely family atmosphere on a Saturday morning. Baby changing facilities were in the disabled loo, very clean and had a handy hook to keep the change bag off of the floor. Will visit again.

i'm a lil unhappy with this place. long wait, no beans, wrong eggs, untoasted toast. made me sad that i wasted my hunger by eating this meal when i could've eaten something better

Came here with my mum on a saturday night, had a very upbeat atmosphere and you wouldnt think the food would be as good as it was, i had a beef buger and my mum has the mexican bean burger, they were very yummy!!!

Had a lovely drink went back the bar to order drinks and food and over heard the manager talking to the staff appallingly. He needs to go on a people skills course and get some manners. Decided didn’t want to eat or drink there and left.

There is such a large selection of food on the menu your spoilt for choice.. I never had a starter so glad I didn't because your portions on the mains are really large which is great. I went for a steak kebab I would highly recommend it the meat fulls apart in your mouth and the steak was cook to perfection. Great pudding selection also very large both are choices were delicious. I've given this place 5 stars on everything ..i would definitely go back again for a date night here came out of there very happy

Went for breakfast, absolutely awful. Would not recommend. Sausages undercooked and vegetarian sausages totally burnt. No cutley provided and sauce empty. Latte coffee cold. Waste of money. Had its day. Will not go again as this is second breakfast that has been awful but thought I would try again.

I booked a table for four of us for half twelve for lunch . We ordered our food only to be told they don't serve till 2pm . There was a brunch menu till 2 pm. Bit confusing really as it didn't state a time on the lunch menu. Maybe it should say from 2pm although bit strange as I think most people eat between 12 and 2pm so to serve after.2pm is quite late ..just my personal opinion. So we sat and waited until they served at 2pm lol . Staff nice and food nice. Still had nice time.

Went here 2 months ago food was average ,comfortable atmosphere. Paid by card for food ,card machine declined card was told it was a problem at their end so used another terminal card accepted.Found out few days later that we had been charged twice.Contacted Lil Green ,sent copy of bank statement showing 2 charges but still no refund or even communication. Not a good service.

Been here a few times and was always good but this time well what can I say we called in for breakfast with our son ordered 2 full English breakfast and french toast so after a wait of 40 + minutes 😱 breakfast finally came the French toast was soggy and nothing like it should and the 2 full English breakfast well not a experience I would want to do again probably the worst breakfast I have had out HOW can you not get a full English breakfast right really and nearly £10 each so I for one will not be going back and if I was you walk past don't bother wasting your time and money horrible is all I can call it shame I've had good meals in here before just shows how things can go down shame on them

It's alright, not expensive but not cheap either. My main annoyance is that they ONLY do breakfasts until 12, though the menu isn't clear about that. Don't expect any other meals before then.
