Overcooked fried eggs, batter on fish overcooked, carvery meat dried up.

Ordered on the app, 1 meal arrived after about 10 mins but nothing else, no drinks, no carvery ticket… (told order hadn’t gone through) by the time drinks came and carvery sorted, first meal cold, no forks on any of the tables, or serviettes or salt. Actually ordered the new set meal 2 courses but didn’t stay for paid desserts … place was quiet, miserable and staff were lounging around the bar area… beef was very fatty, inedible.. very dry Yorkshire puddings… avoid this place at all costs.

Being a midweek afternoon, the restaurant was quiet, which was what we were hoping for. The staff were courteous and efficient and we were directed to a table with no delay. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and ordering was straight forward. We opted to order at the bar rather than use the app. The food looked appetising when it arrived, with generous helpings. We were glad we opted not to have a starter as if we had we wouldn't have had room for what was to follow! . I had the gammon, egg and chips and was delighted to see the gammon had been freshly carved from a joint and there was plenty of it. The only minor quibble I might have has was that the peas were not very hot but that didn't really detract from my enjoyment of my meal. My husband had the scampi and chips and, again, there was a generous portion which he said was excellent. We both ordered dessert - apple pie for him, sticky toffee pudding for me - and they both went down a treat. Often when ordering sticky toffee pudding there is too much sauce which overwhelms the actual sponge but Leven valley got it just right. Overall, we were both delighted with the quality of the food and, on the whole, the service we received (we did have a rather long wait for our dessert but as we were pretty full after the main course it did give our food a chance to go down and for us to enjoy the atmosphere.) Will definitely be back.

Carvery was delicious service was excellent with a relaxed atmosphere.

Shouted at on arrival “be with ye in 2 mins guys- ye got a booking guys? Wits the name?” Was called guys at least 5 times before I eaten anything. Had to call out my name to someone half way up the bar - so much for privacy. Waitress food shamed someone leaving a half eaten pizza - no idea what a celebration it was for us they ate that much. I felt like I was distributing staff asking for cutlery which our table didn’t have, being told how the till works when taking my order - really don’t need to know. But if you want me to come do a shift I can - cause I now know… giving drink and food order for 11 people took 14 mins (got a text when I went up..) Long tables set up near door, cold draft, people bumping into chair to rush past… Food was ok, get what you pay for. Didn’t feel clean, dirty cloth lying about and reused next to us. Service is pretty poor, not a positive customer experience. I’m avoiding like the plague

Having been many times with no issues today visit was the worst ever barman was rude when I asked if my drink was a pint as ordered as it normally comes in pint glass. Got to carvery and there was no ham the only meat I eat was told one would be ready in a few mins so I waited. At service plate was cold meat delicious but veggies were tepid. On the whole a very disappointing visit. Also my receipt wasn't itemised as I would have expected. Poor service and tepid food I will certainly be looking for an alternative.

Out for Birthday lunch. Pleasant staff . Fresh piece of beef came out just before we got served so we never had off cuts. Veg nice and fresh. No complaints about food or service. Highly recommend if service like this all the time.

They always cancel the too good to go order right when I arrive to collect it, around 5-10 minutes after the beginning of the collection time, sometimes 10 minutes before the collection time; why wouldn't do it at least half an hour before the collection time so people don't waste time??? it's a shame there is no option to leave the review on the too good to go app

We have visited the Leven Valley around 5.00 p.m. twice in the past 3 weeks only to discover they were not serving carvery. We have been customers for many years and have never encountered this before. Had a look at the menu on the first visit but, quite frankly, it was very limited, so we left. Didn't even bother looking at the menu on the second occasion, just left.

Food was delicious and generous. Pizza and carvery were really good. Only downfall is that from the retail park, it is not well signposted, however we will be back!

Think it’s called leaving valley as you’ll have a bite leave and never come back. Only 1 meat available at a carvery ?? Beef was like biting into a bike seat. Service was piss poor and waited over 40 mins for a kids meal there’s a kfc 2 seconds away with better quality meat. Dodge like the plague

Went here for mother's day, we had a table booked so were seated on time, the queue for the cavery was an absolute joke only one person serving to busy with take away orders, ordered a child's meal it didn't come until everyone was finished and they gave us a dirty bowl for the mash that was ordered, the place was so disorganised did they not allow for how busy it would be, totally spoiled our day, wouldn't return.

Waited 40 mins on food to be told it would be another 30 mins as they burnt all the food, we got a refund and left. Place has went right down hill. Staff were lovely but overworked

Myself and my better half come here often, always welcomed and nothing is ever a problem. Server today was Mel, absolutely nothing was a problem servive couldn’t have been better.

Lovely food as always. Staff always friendly and accommodating. Mel is definitely the star of this place. Always goes above and beyond. Always has time for a chat. Have read some awful comments about this lady in reviews by someone who obviously holds a personal grudge against her. Please don’t listen. She’s a beautiful person who’s always glad to see you! Just back after using a £5 e-voucher for the carvery. Choice / combination of gammon, turkey, beef. Well presented with full range of veg / roast potatoes / yorkshire / gravy, all well-cooked. Pleasant staff at bar and carvery. Nice place and the menu shows that the carvery is normally only £8.50 without the voucher. Highly recommended if you live nearby of passing on way ointo / out of Glasgow on the A82 Great Western Rd at the Drumchapel Retail Park. We'll be back.

Great food amazing service from Mel defo return

I have been to the Leven Valley several times over the last few years and I cannot fault the service of the staff they are always friendly and helpful, in particular Mel always goes out of her way to make us feel welcome by coming over to say hello and making sure my sons pizza is cut correctly (he is autistic and has to have his pizza cut in small bits). The food is always great too

This order not eaten had to buy child fresh pizza. Carvery no beef. Vegetables all dried out. Definitely won't be back ever.

Staff lovely, food not, partner ordered pizza which he said was fine, I ordered scampi which was made and sat under lights which I could see from my seat, Bread was on plate which got heated, the food was cold . Maybe not make the scampi early and wait till pizza nearly ready. Ps no tartare sauce available, asked but was told they had difficulty obtaining it, Try sainsbury's they have shelves full of it.,

Great value family meal. Service was fab and kids enjoyed the play area.

Mel & Gavin were so helpful and fantastic customer service. we came in at 11.20 looking for breakfast which we hadn’t realised stopped at 11.30. Instead of telling us no breakfast was finished, they gave us an incredible deal instead of charging full prices. Thank you so much Mel & Gavin will defo be back for a dinner ☺️

Total waste of money avoid at all cost send food back

Lady at till was very thorough when I ordered a Mac and cheese and informed her of my daughter had allergies. However over 40 minutes to arrive at the table. By the time Adults got to the carvery there was no Yorkshire puddings. Scrapes of one meat and reduced veg. Complains could be repeatedly heard throughout the night.That said the little we got was lovely, but no where near carvery standers. However staff attitude could have been much better too. Blaming staff shortages is not what people pay to hear. Tables were very clean however attention in the toilets fell short this time. All in all not the best experience.

Ordered online to table, drinks didn't come and after 20min had to go up to bar to get them (excuse was their machine jammed) waited 40 mins for 4 burgers and when ready had to go up to the kitchen to get them because a server didn't bring them, when we seen the burgers all had sauces on them although we clearly marked on the order no sauce. (There excuse was they where busy) place was near empty most customer where in the bar area. When pointed out she said they have been busy but the customers have left now again I said we have been here since 20 past (45 mins) and you have been empty. Staff obviously don't know their menu since their other excuse was that the no sauce option was in regards to burger sauce although the burger clearly advertised as lettuce, onion and BBQ. No mention of burger sauce plus if I requested no sauce why in the world would i want BBQ. Another customer the table next to us asked staff for fresh meat on the carvery and was told there was still enough on the meat that was sitting there. Got a refund for my burgers but still charged me for a round of drinks that we didn't even finish. Went to burger King instead and got better service. Very disappointed.

Never had a problem at the leven valley always really welcoming staff are amazing with kids and food is always amazing.

Warm welcome from the minute we arrived. Gavin and Mel dealt with our order and the banter from them was fantastic their like a wee old married couple I haven’t laughed like that n ages. Food was amazing and the brownies are to die for.

Been here many times mainly because it is so local. Food is adequate but lacks variety in veggies. Often trays need replenished, tables not cleaned but we forgive as it's handy. Today we booked a table for 5.30pm. Arrived to find carvery queue nearly to the door. Said I had reservations was told short staffed and would need to find a seat in lounge area and wait minimum 20mins. Expressed my opinion that this was no way to run a business and was told if I didn't like it to eat somewhere else. This was by the manager. We enjoyed our meal eventually but at a different venue as we will never be back to this one

Popped in for a spot of lunch, front of house staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent and was served up promptly. Duty manager was great also following up and making sure all my needs were meet... Long story short great food great staff great day out I give it 5 stars

My wife and I were out for a walk as it was a nice night and caked in here for a drink. Great service and a friendly welcome. Barman even offered to bring my Guinness over once it settled.

Nothing was great exactly. Obviously it's mainly a carvery but besides that, the menu is lacking. One option for salad and one option for pasta. No lighter options which they use to have. We had booked a table for 5 but on arrival had to wait for someone to find a table despite booking and he offered us a table for 4, telling us to squeeze in when there was five of us. I'd understand if one of us were a child but 5 fully grown adults. So we were giving a table in the back function room and we were the only ones there and felt a bit "out of the way". My parents both ordered fish and chips. It took over an hour. My dad went to ask after the first 20 mins (we had all been served already and we're nearly done) and apparently there was some issue in the kitchen (that's fine, these things happen) and that their fish were just going on. After another wait 20 mins, he went to enquire again and was told the chef burnt the fish and that they were just remaking it the now. It was third time lucky but I think it's poor that no one came to explain at the table and it took my dad having to go find help before we were told anything. They got a refund but I think they could have avoided alot more unhappiness if they came and told us what was happening. Also the hot drinks were not very hot at all. Even the hot water for the tea was tepid at best. There wasn't much overall for us to feel encouraged about going back unfortunately.

The pizza chef asked my mum if she thought the pizza was ready. It took 40 minutes for the staff to understand the bill. Our desserts were dry and terrible

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon well aware this would be their busy time. On arrival we were told "hope you are not wanting food" "no tables" we went for a drink from the bar while we decided where to go for dinner only to realise there were plenty of tables in the restaurant however when we noticed one of the kitchen staff coming into bar throwing his bag about and having a toddler tantrum maybe we had a lucky escape on the food. Place was practically empty when our taxi arrived. Could use a bit better customer service!!

Went today after not being in for a good long while and i was happy to say i actually really really enjoyed the food today, don't know what you are doing differently but every single bit of the food was spot on, staff were lovely as usual.

Had xmas dinner here , service not good on arrival no one to show us to table. We had pre ordered starters and had to ask 4 times for them. When they arrived, the soup was cold, and honestly, the worst soup I have tasted. The carvery itself was lovely, then had to ask twice for our desserts. We did get money back for the 2 x soups. I do understand staff shortages, but manners cost nothing.

Booked at very short notice. Had a lovely carvery meal with 6 other family members. Staff were very attentive and made us very welcome.

Booked a table for 12 people. On entering the restaurant we never got a warm welcome, was more of a hassle. The table and menus all boggin. Had a quick look at the carvery counter which looked dryer than a nun's chuff! No roast potatoes, stuffing and few other item's missing. Thought to myself... I will play it safe and order from the kitchen menu (should be fresh) ordered the chicken wings in Frank's hot sauce and the fish & chips with bread and butter. Starters and mains came out at the same time! 40 odd min wait! By this time most of our group had eaten their half a carvery! Let's review the hot wings... these things looked like they had been scrapped out the bottom of the deep fat fryer the night before... burnt and just mush. Not edible! Onto the fish and chips... this fish did not come from the sea... I think it was dug up from Dalnotter. Overcooked, not fresh just thick greasy batter. The chips had been cooked a few times also. Wouldn't be surprised if they scraped them from the plates of previous customers. Not one to complain... but this was a joke. Total waste of money and would not feed this crap to my dug (I don't have a dug). Almost ruined a nice catch up with family. We could only laugh... I was waiting on Ant and Dec popping out from under the pile of overcooked chips! Place will be shut down soon. If your thinking of heading here... don't. Just pop into Greggs and get a steak bake...

Something happened between. Her son and herself , quite discreet , my friend that is , also the manager came over, said keep noise down , as a result we left , the girl told us she didn't sleep to 4 am the night before , poor attitude, hungover etc, yes it Xmas though attitude stink , won't b back

Defo wasn’t worth the money waited 40 min for watery soup then half hr at the cavery to only have gamon left. Also staf arguing with each other and swearing at each other defo not coming back

Where do I start……. Walked past the carvery and noted that there was no roast potatoes, mashed potatoes or stuffing the cauliflower cheese was dry as was the cabbage don’t think anything had been refreshed for quite some time. Our party ordered food and some went to the carvery got our meats and there was still none of the aforementioned and nothing fresh I gave my plate back and advised that I would wait for potatoes 20 minutes later still no potatoes!!! I then requested a refund for carvery which I got. What about the other meals? £10.99 for 2 courses very reasonable if it was edible !! The chips were either cooked in old oil or reheated several times they were inedible the fish pretty much the same, 2 chicken wings as a starter ( think the wings were from an old hen not a chicken they were dry and pretty much skin and bone) deep fried in old oil or again over cooked. When I complained about our experience I was advised that there was another 2 large parties in !!! Why is this an excuse !! Get a grip!! Food rotten service shocking !!

Went here for a carvery and it was lovely, the food I had was very tasty and was also a good price for them, would highly recommend this place for something to eat and drink, they have a great selection to choose from there menus, the staff are very friendly and the venue has plenty of seating and tables.

Came in as a group, including a wheelchair. Mel was super accommodating and helped do all the orders separate, with no hassles at all. We also had a vegetarian in the group, and the staff and kitchen staff couldn't have done enough to make sure he ate well. Nothing was too much an ask. Portion sizes are great, we will be back!

Came in with 4 people and 2 dogs on a Sunday night. Very accommodating to fit us in on short notice and made sure that us and the dogs were welcomed. Came up on several occasions to make sure the dogs had water and everything we needed 👌
