I am ceoliac. I always have problems eating out. This pub was The exception. A wide choice of gluten free options on the menu including battered fish and chips. I have say this was the best fish, chips and mushy peas I have eaten for a long time. Very busy and I can see why even on a Thursday night. I would recommend this pub to any one.

We called at the Lemon Arms for lunch after a good walk along the River Fal and the creek. There were lots of people inside, always a good sign, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We ordered, in my wife's case, soup, and in my own, mackerel pate and toast. The two dishes took quite a time to come, so it was a good job we weren't in a hurry, but both were enjoyable. Our main criticism would be that the bread or, in my case, the toast served was pretty ordinary. Quite often in Cornwall, you get either a cheese scone or a chunk of garlic bread with your soup, but not here. I regretted that. But the service was courteous, and we enjoyed our visit. We would call again.

We had dinner here on a Monday night in early Oct whilst staying in a local holiday cottage and wanting to meet up with local friends. As we all enjoy a quiz night, the Lemon Arms on a Mon eve was perfect so we booked! The 6 of us enjoyed starters and main courses and a couple of ice creams as desserts. Portions were large and tasty. I had seafood linguine which included lots of fresh big juicy mussels in their shells. The quiz was good too - a particularly tough one that night apparently, but amazingly our team won - it's free to enter, with prize being a free round of drinks. Sadly we couldn't make the most of our winnings due to several drivers in our group so our prize order included some cups of tea:-) A friendly local pub. Like the last reviewer, we had our dog with us and that worked fine.

We were looking for a local pub to eat at where we could bring our dog, it was a Monday and it was Quiz night so we booked an early table. We had the smoked mackerel pate and the seafood linguine and it was excellent. The fish was of good quality snd tasted really fresh. The mussels were really good! We returned the following night and I had the mushrooms and my partner had the bbq chicken burger which was enormous but really tasty. The food wasn’t expensive, the portions were big,the ales were great, the pub was full of locals and we got a good friendly welcome. The only possible negative thing I would say is that the tables were sticky but that’s all. We loved this pub.

We had'nt booked a table on the Bank Holiday evening and the pub was pretty full - but the lovely lady behind the bar offered us the opportunity to sit outside which was fine. However, while we were waiting for our food to arrive a table for 2 became vacant inside the pub and we happily took that one. As we were sitting at the bar mulling over what to eat - a gentleman next to us having heard our deliberations told us that in his opinion the pies were really, really good. Well, of course - with that recommendation - we both went for the steak and ale pie - and were not disappointed. They were absolutely delicious. Came out piping hot and so full of beautifully tender beef - they were fabulous. My chips were slightly anemic looking - but it made no difference at all to the meal. All the staff were really helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. They do have a Quiz Night on a Monday night and so we were very lucky to get a space inside - probably more sensible to book !!

Really deteriorated over last 12 months - we visited twice as a family of 4 over a 10 day period in August. We booked tables both times, each time on arrival warned there was a half hour wait, both times the wait was an hour or just over an hour. No-one came to update us on wait times on either occasion and there seemed to be a staff shortage front of house. Food is very acceptable basic fare, usually well cooked. Whoever takes the bookings is either ill informed or greedy, there is no excuse for taking more bookings than the kitchen is capable of servicing. Such a pity. The lemon Arms has been a family favourite for a decade or more, but no longer.

Having the Lemon Arms just a stone throw away is a blessing as I have never had even a hint of a bad experience in there. The staff always make you feel welcome (Even to us Essex folk) there is always a family friendly and cosy vibe going on in there and the food is absolutely wonderful. Myself and my Fianceè ended up having dinner down here twice last week whilst we were down, the first time I had the Mylor Butcher Sirloin Steak and the second time I had the Lobster Thermador specials which at around £20 per dish were worth every penny. Looking forward to returning when we next travel down!

OH and I are currently staying in Mylor Bridge. We have now had our evening meals on the first two nights of a 7 night break. I am quite amazed at some of the recent poor reviews as our experience has been nothing but exceptional service. We both had Lasagna on night one and both commented how it’s the nicest lasagna we’ve had for a long time. Night two I chose the Hommity pie and my wife the Risotto which both were very nice. All the staff worked tirelessly in what are very difficult circumstances for customer facing roles in this current pandemic. There was hand sanitisation available the tables were spread out evenly and barriers between some of them also. There was a one way system in and out of the pub also. As I type this review we still have 5 nights of our break remaining and will definitely eat here a few more times. Going to try the Fish & Chips on my next visit as that looks really good . Keep up the good work Lemon Arms team it’s certainly appreciated by these two visitors.

We ate on the same day as another 1-star review, so they were obviously having a really bad day. The service was exceptionally slow throughout the evening, as commented on by the other reviewer. I out for dinner with my parents to celebrate recently getting engaged and brought my 4 year old along to see her granny and grandad. We asked for the children’s menu and the waitress said she would take our drinks order first, which is fine in theory, so we ordered an apple juice for my daughter. When the children’s menu arrived shortly after, it turns out that a different drink is included; it would have been nice to have been told this first, but as it happens the drink never arrived. They forgot to bring one of the starters and it didn’t arrive until the others were nearly finished; other than that the starters were fine.I’d ordered the sausage and mash as main and was told it didn’t come with peas - obviously it arrived covered in peas, which was sorted quickly. Unfortunately the mash was almost inedibly salty; I like food well seasoned, but every mouthful was disgusting. By this stage the last thing I wanted to do was send it back - we’d already been there around an hour and a half and my daughter was getting tired. Whilst two of us were halfway through our mains, a waitress approached and said she had forgotten to put through my dad’s steak order. By this stage he decided to cut his losses and didn’t get a main - the cost of one drink was knocked off the bill. My daughter had finished her pizza long before, but the ice cream included with the kids meal wasn’t brought out. After being there for over two hours already, we decided to settle up and get my daughter back to bed. I noticed that the full price of the kids meal had been charged despite the drink and ice cream not being provided- the lady I was dealing with kept telling me it was a set price and she would give me the missing items now (a kids drink and an ice cream in a box) - I argued that the drink should have come with the meal and that we had waited so long that we didn’t want the ice cream any more; I live half an hour away and the ice cream would’ve melted by the time we got home. After pointing the shambolic service we’d received throughout the night the cost of the kids meal was eventually taken off the bill.Overall the service was almost comically bad and could have ruined what should’ve been a happy occasion. I noticed other customers complaining as well.

I moved to mylor a couple of months ago from Falmouth . How lucky am I to have the Lemon Arms almost opposite my front door!!A lovely pub with friendly , helpful staff . Nothing is too much trouble. I enjoyed their take aways during lockdown . They looked after the community and were delivering food to the door . Their roasts are amazing (especially Johnnys creamed leeks ) . All local produce, and so delicious. I have taken friends there and all have loved it. Great food and service at a reasonable price .Also the local seafood is the best !! So glad I moved to Mylor !!

The pub is located in a lovely village and has a good selection of beers/wines and a great menu. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food quality was excellent, the portions decent, and overall it was great value for money. We will definitely eat there again when we return to the area.

A lovely little village pub right in the heart of Mylor Bridge. We walked down for a drink and ended up staying for a meal! You could tell the food was fresh and homemade as it was absolutely delicious. The staff were also very friendly.

Twenty years or more from last visit and what a transformation. This pub/restaurant is now a very comfortable and welcoming place serving really good pub food at very competitive prices. The two of us arrived to a friendly greeting at lunchtime and we had Cheesy Garlic bread, and Deep fried Camembert with home made chutney as starters. Ham egg and chips and a Sirloin steak for mains. All very well cooked and the service was lovely. Too much food to contemplate their deserts. We will certainly be going back here, but may have just one course. Food came to under £35. Nice log fire and clean surroundings. Own car park.

Cold winter night but a very warm welcome at our local The Lemon Arms. Enjoyed our drinks, the steak special was both cooked to perfection and delicious. Staff were excellent, cheerful and very helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.

A lovely friendly Inn with a great local menu and great staff. Specials are interesting and service is good considering it was very busy and a good choice of local beers on tap and a good wine list.

The family had a pre Xmas meal at "Lemon arms" The mains came up on a very small plate the Turkey on bottom seems very thin sliced as if it were for sandwiched & everything else veg roast spuds pigs in blankets stuffing etc just piled high on top of this very small plate & swimming in tasteless gravy unfortunatley we had to ask for side plates so as to put a quanity of the food on to the palte so we could access the some of the food......sorry but we won't be back again to try any of there food - we were one of the first group to sit for lunch so not if chef ?? / cook was rushed......

We had a meal at The Lemon Arms on a Saturday evening and were very impressed. Lots of choice on the menu and good value too. The wait for food was not too long and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere in the pub was friendly and staff checked that we were happy with our food during our meal. We will definitely pop back another time.

We stayed in holiday accommodation in Mylor and came across the Lemon Arms nearby. The pub is quirky and offers a good range of food choices and local ales. A pool table and dart board are in the pub but are in other areas from the dining tables. The quality and portion size of the food was excellent, presentation and cooked to perfection we had the locally caught fish choice. Please visit you will not be disappointed.

Very traditional pub food, bar area used by locals including a pool table. Good parking adjacent in their own car park, with good access. Located in the centre of this typical Cornish village

We all had an amazing awesome wonderful roast Sunday lunch, drinks, pudding and coffee and at a very reasonable price. It’s great to see a pub full of locals and visitors. A warm welcome and good service. We’ll certainly go there again. The toilets too were incredible for a pub; so clean, modern, airy and spacious.

Popped in one afternoon, pub was very quiet with just a handful of locals enjoying a drink and a bite to eat. We were just going to have a drink but then decided to share a ham and coleslaw sandwich. It arrived very quickly with skinny fries and salad leaves. It was lovely and good value, will come again soon for dinner.

We called at around 4.30pm to book a table of 3 for 7:15pm. When we arrived we were told they’d be 30 minute wait for food, we were happy with that. We ordered drinks and sat down. After an hour of waiting we asked how long are good would be and we’re just told ‘I’ll check” . No one came back. After 90 minutes we asked again and were told it’ll be soon. He then apologised and said he’d sort something on the bill. The food arrived 10 minutes later. Steak ordered medium and canewell done, asked for no peas, plate full of peas. Ham, eggs, chips, the eggs over cooked and chips stone cold. Seafood linguine, prawns over cooked, no bowl for mussel shells (another customer given this). No one came over and checked and to be honest I couldn’t be bothered to go over to the bar after customers had already made comments that I’d asked how long our meal was going to be. I paid my bill in full as no money was taken off and did express quietly to the bar person that I wasn’t impressed.
