I cannot tell you how poor this place is for chips. For the other bits they sell, I honestly can't say as I've only ever given them a chance time and time again just to cook a simple portion of chips (it's a chippy!!). Always undercooked, anemic and almost white, soggy or raw, horrible. I'm done now I just give up. Miserable teenage girls serve you, and to be totally honest they probably get this from the miserable husband and wife who own it. FGS just smile and be grateful that people still actually spend money here. You only open on matchdays, so if you can't be bothered with 1 or 2 days a month then just throw in the towel. It's no wonder you're up for sale, you opened a chippy but literally cannot even cook a chip.

Two portions chips and curry sauce 19/8/23 total of £8.20. The portions were really small and the chips were not fully cooked raw in the middle. How they cooked the curry sauce I don’t know as it was the consistency of jam. These were the worse chips and curry sauce I have ever eaten. Please think twice before visiting this place.

I sometimes visit this chippy because it's across the road from a stand at Leicester Tigers' ground and it's a short walk from Leicester City's King Power Stadium. The food is tasty - I've never had a bad meal from there - although the chips are pale whereas I prefer them browner and crispier. For someone on their way from or to the Tigers or Leicester City, it's not a bad call.

Always rated this place but not anymore I don'price increase. But when it comes to skimping on the fish I was absolutely disgusted you will never get my custom again and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody else the quality is good but very small portion fish it's just greed,

Great value for money at this chippy directly opposite Leicester Tigers ground, and short walk from Leicester FC King Power Stadium. Kick off for footy was 5.30 p.m on a Saturday , so went here at 4pm just getting busy. There was a queue to the door and people joining it all the time, so my timing was perfect. All food cooked freshly to order by a team of 4-5. Service prompt and friendly. Lovely thick chunky haddock and excellent chips. You do not wish to stray too far from sporting venues when hunting for food and this location is perfect. I will be back. Incidentally the rugby match Leicester vs Bristol Bears had just finished and Nathan Hughes, the Bristol and England player was in the queue just behind me. He ordered enough for half a dozen or so, so I guess the team were training on this stuff, or commiserating after a surprise defeat ! Nathan Hughes is a massive guy, would not want to mess with him !

Good quality fish and chips for dinner. The regular fish was very large and nice. Only a take away with a few seats outside.

Like most people used the fish bar when I went to rugby. 10 or so people in the queue but served pretty quick. Not good that they had run out of fish but it was a busy day. Pie and chips were ok, filled a gap, but had better

An ideally situated chippy right outside the rugby ground and a 5 minute walk to the footy ground the chips with curry sauce and meat pie was so good going to the match I had to stop again on the way back to the car after the game to have some more chips first class

I ordered from here and the food was cold and just horrid. Poor lack of communication. I will not order from here again! Wouldn't recommend it !

Hunters has been my favourite chippy for some time. The chips are brill, the batter on the fish is always thin, very crispy, not oily or soggy, and the place is immaculately clean. I cannot fault it at all from my experience.

Absolutely amazeballs! Honestly cannot praise this place enough, great customer service with young staff which were lovely towards me and spoke with real kindness didnt quite catch the name of the young lad but had short brown hair but can only describe my visit as incredible. Food was also cooked to utter perfection and at good prices. Emma over and out.

Waited for about 40 minutes, wouldn't complain to much if they gave me what I paid for which was a large and small chips and sausages, they waited 40 minutes just to not give me my small chips which I paid for, place is usually good but recently is having a pretty shocking decline in service

Eshe served us, she was very lovely and smiley. Great service - 5* waitressing - food was great and drinks too. Steaks could have been tad bigger and more options on pudding if anything
