Best pub in Scarborough beer was great and staff just brilliant. 2022 now and still excellent beer and service.

this is a lovely traditional pub, the bar is well run and it was cosy and friendly. Very obviously had a group of locals who are regulars but was also very welcoming for tourists would definitely recommend

Had the absolute pleasure of meeting Amber on our wee holiday. We enjoyed her banter so much we returned 3 times, spending our last night in Scarborough here, purely due to her outstanding service. Gordon and I will be back!! Give this lass a raise. 🥰

What a wonderful, friendly quaint pub this is.

Wanted a real ale pub but no warm welcome. We were 2 families with children over the age of 13. We were told to sit away from the bar and out of sight! At 6.30 a member of staff walked past with a sign saying no children after 6pm!! A lovely pub but will not return.

Lovely little old-style pub full of friendly locals who couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Been before and will be back again.

I don't usually review pubs when I've just been for a drink but my husband and I called in for a couple on Saturday and I had to pay a compliment to the lovely young barmaid who served us. She was so friendly, chatty and full of information about where we could eat. She made us feel very special. Give the girl a pay rise.

A wonderful, small friendly pub just off the main drag. Great selection of beers, warm cosy and dogs and children welcome.

Wet sales only local pub in the (much overlooked) old town with a local clientele so it needs to be good to survive..it is.Cosy bar and friendly barmaid when l visited, we put the woes of our local council to rights!

Love having a couple of drinks at the Leeds Arms. Beer (Landlord) was delicious, barman was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming.

My kind of pub. Cosy atmosphere, no riff-raff and a good selection of ales. Traditional pub with interesting Memorabilia. Will definitely be back when we pass through again.

Called at the Leeds Arms, as my husband is a Leeds season ticket holder and wanted to visit the pub sharing the same name as his favourite club, wished we never bothered. The pub is for locals, not very friendly felt really uncomfortable and as soon as we walked through the door there was a women swearing at the bar. We took our drinks and sat down (not much choice on real ales, just one) and the women continued to be loud saying the 'F' word throughout he lengthy rant at the bar, everyone could hear her going on about some bloke & women, not a great impression. We left our drinks and left the pub. Wont be going back.

What a fantastic pub to have around the corner from our holiday let. Great quality ales and a friendly welcome from the staff and locals. A proper traditional pub where you can set the world to rights! Couldn’t ask for more - will definitely be back when we’re next in Scarborough.

Went there Saturday night 23rd Sept first time. Very refreshing to go into a real pub for once with it being full of idiots. The assistant manager Lewis, what a great level headed young man. A person who is passionate about his pub. Great beer from clean pipes. Will drink in there again next time im there.

I don't think that we've ever been in a more warm and welcoming pub. It was our first evening in Scarborough, decided to have a couple of drinks. It was a busy Friday early evening. The place was very busy..not surprised!! Lots of regulars ... but made to feel very welcome. They were interested where we were from etc.. we were given a Chinese takeaway menu and the guy we stood next to even phoned another local pub to see what time they served food until!! The beer selection was good too. What a great little pub.

Today has been a sweltering one and upon passing this little gem on the way to the beach we decided to call in to rehydrate and have a sit in the shade. Instantly greeted by a lovely gent with a smile and good chat. A great find and we stayed longer than originally intended as the service and the drinks were spot on. We don’t come this way often but when we do we will list certainly be calling back in. As a conclusion; extremely reasonable prices in a great atmosphere inside a pub that was super clean. 10/10 without a shadow of a doubt.

It has a good vibe. Decent choice of real ales, which for Scarborough is fairly hard to come by. I must have chosen the wrong one - Strongarm! Everyone else was enjoying theirs. Maybe Camerons is an acquired taste or it was on the cusp? I'd give it another chance. The pub, not the Camerons! 😀

Quality pub and excellent beers, just 4 minutes from the seafront and all the disappointing pubs, some with no cask ales. The Leeds Arms is a traditional pub and has been for nearly 200 years, the actual building is 400 years old with the original bakery oven door in the wall. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, thx Lewis!

Having walked past this little pub a few times, which is off the beaten track we decided to go in for a beer. What a little treasure. Very atmospheric, very polite and helpful staff and some really well kept ales. People are obviously at ease as soon as they walk in and you quickly end up in conversation with people you never met. Really friendly little place. I would love to go into regulary to try every seat just to study all the photos on the walls. So much to look at. Thanks to all involved with this little pub.

Fantastic little pub that we found by accident. The bar staff are brilliant (especially Lewis). The clientele are friendly and welcoming. We come to Scarborough every year in March and this is the first time we have visited but we will definitely be back again next year.

Came here with my partner and our whippet who always wants to sit with us, the lady who served us was really nice and the place looked lovely, we were staying just 100 yards away, our dog was sat on the seat on our coat for 10 minutes. Then a guy came and pointed at us who was drinking abruptly said get the dog off of the seat. My response was who are you. I own it! Probably could have handled that better, not the best advert for Scarborough Dog friendly I think not!

First time I'm Scarborough and this is the first pub we've been to and I think we just hot the jackpot. What a great little pub. Really friendly staff, great beers and with us being London based, crazy low prices. Could have stayed all night.

After been refused a meal at the Toby Carvery Morley because we hadn't booked but it was nearly empty we went to The Guildersome Arms Leeds in which we were welcomed by lovely staff great carvery great service and good prices well impressed definitely 💯 recommend we will be going back so glad the Toby Carvery Morley refused us a table & there loss & custom

A gorgeous pub! Great beer - although no Theakstons :-( great service and great ambience. We loved it so much we were there three times in one day! We will definitely return - thank you for looking after us so well.

Really lovely pub - well loved and looked after. Open until late, and the barman kept pouring more drinks until everyone was ready to go (after midnight). Lots of good ales, and I tried the Rhubarb cloudy cider for something different, which was lovely! Friendly people, and dog friendly too.

Lovely friendly pub, good well kept beer and the decor was fresh and was clean. We didn’t eat here as too early in the day for us so don’t know if they do food.

All the staff are very friendly and we found the drinks and ambience great ,no televisions just a friendly atmosphere and great conversations and debates with the locals who do not ignore us tourists going into the pub. We went in there a couple of nights because it was so friendly and the beer was well kept at a reasonable price as well, We wiil call in again when we next visit Scarborough !

Love this pub ,nice decor and homely atmosphere. Got chatting to a trawler man and a New Yorker both called Mark and a couple who just moved house from Notts . Pleasant bar staff and a nice pint of real ale just put the icing on cake.

A great Old Town pub, not large inside, and traditional, friendly and authentic, with good beers too! Basically, it's a good 'un!

This small, charming pub is rightly billed as “free from the throng” by visitors. A few hundred yards up the hill from the South Bay, it is very friendly and inclusive: the landlord invited us to join in the buffet to celebrate the Landlady’s Birthday! Thank you and Happy Birthday. It is a good local’s pub, also used by proper seafarers. Cameron’s “Sanctuary” beer is an excellent hoppy beer, reminiscent of “Strongarm” Make the journey.

Good place to spend a couple of hours. Good selection of beers. Very friendly staff and locals. If you like a chat with your beer then this will fit the bill.

Having fruitlessly searched the harbourfront for anything resembling proper beer, we cut uphill to find this fantastic little cosy pub. The team there were really friendly and obviously know what they're about when it comes to real ale. We'll make a point of revisiting next...

Having originated from Scarborough & not lived here for over 40 years,although a fairly regularly visitor, I was beginning to despair about the lack of quality pubs.However I have recently rediscovered the Leeds Arms & it remains a great pub, with good staff & excellent beer.Also far enough off the beaten track not to be inundated with visitors!!

This, long established pub, is one of Scarborough's best 'watering holes'. Superb history, style and character, coupled with the location and architecture and most importantly, the ongoing friendly nature of the landlords and locals make the Leeds Arms a cherished memory for many visitors here. Oh, and great beer too!
