The Whitby Way in Scarborough

Happy to start then massive fight outside, drugs being used and the man in the pink shorts and the door nan without a tooth were very much together with what was going on. Niot very nice to the public that tried to help but police did arrive then they were back in laughing aborting beating up the poor guy. Not going back ever disgusting behaviour by the staff and doorman.

Decent pub, only had a couple but had live music, good atmosphere and friendly staff

Absolutely best pub in whitby the best staff and manager, prices and experience perfect, spent many years here will spend many more

The lass who runs the pub is amazing, Kelly and Nathan who served me on numerous occasions were fabulous, nothing to much to ask from them both, karaoke ran by el was fantastic, had people up and the atmosphere was brilliant, also tammy the land lady was so happy and welcoming absolute brilliant pub, would highly recommend 😀

Came in here last year and have to say the atmosphere was really odd, other than that it was OK.

A lovely, unspoilt traditional pub a short walk from the Harbour. Serving a range of quality hand-pulled Cask conditioned real ales, the ones that i tried were in excellent condition. The pub is usually not as busy as those right by the harbour, definitely worth seeking out.

Excellent atmosphere with exceptional bar staff Kelly & Nathan have everything that you could want in a proper pub with live music and a fab Juke box from the intervals.

I know it's "pride month" and I have no prejudices, but I find the idea of a man dressed as a woman trying to engage my young children in conversation to be unacceptable. I mean seriously, I just wanted a drink and a sit down lunch with family. Other places in the town have had pride events without pushing it like this.

Lovely staff , felt so welcome and the open mic nights on a Tuesday are always a blast , definitely will return !

Considering there was no one else at the bar took absolutely ages to get served with not so much as a thank you or eye contact. Beer was ok but we ended up sat at the bottom end near the gents loos and it reeked of pee.

Great kareoke,danced the night away,we will definatley be comming back here next time we visit

Like going when visiting Whitby for Karaoke and live bands. Bar can be busy as expected.

Amazing atmosphere wonderful weekend away

Went in with no expectations. Left loving the place. Awesome music, atmosphere, staff & drinks offers.

Good range of cocktails. More details of what is in/on should be on the menu/bar notice. Bar tender clearly thinks making cocktails is a pain in the behind, service with a snarl not a smile.

This place is absolutely amazing everyone is so welcoming 😊😁😊 came in here for a quick drink to celebrate st Patricks day and was the only place we visited was that good xxxx the landlady and landlord and staff was sooo amazing and we're Irish which was a bonus loved every minute xxxx the place to be is Whitby way without as doubt xxx

If i could give it zero then i would. Your disabled access is disgusting. You do not accommodate to disabled patrons (i would not come here again) if you have a disabled person to look after do not come

Nice friendly and very reasonably priced

Doesn't sell food but the excellent staff are more than happy for you to bring your own, very accommodating, more than just a pub 😀

Not a good atmosphere, seems like a den for the homeless people. Music too loud then the TV was loud. Didn't feel safe. No toilet roll in the ladies plus a broken lock

Great pub, staff and regulars are welcoming. Always have great entertainment on, whether it's Karaoke or a band, give it a visit if you are in the area.

Amazing place, really great welcome, fab prices. Although they don't serve food, you can take your own in, including fish & chips!! 5 stars!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Although the interior looked tired, the barman was friendly and the toilets were beautifully tiled, as was the bar back.

This pub is amazing with a great atmosphere and the wife loved getting up on the karaoke.

Hi called in the whitby way cracking karaoke. Great DJ . Nice atmosphere very busy pub . I even had a twitter my self gave them my best renditions of rod stewart. Hoped they liked it . my wife and I really enjoyed the afternoon

Didn't eat here but the pub was a very friendly place staff were very welcoming and we had a great time . It was karaoke and we joined in good laugh

Very loud but a friendly pub although could smell smoke from those smoking in the doorway and had trouble getting through people at doorway on way out.

Locals bar with limited selection of beers. Visited with a friend - definitely not my kind of pub

Me and my partner visited on the weekend from Cheshire. What a lovely pub and atmosphere. The bar staff were so attentive. They even learnt our drinks order after a few rounds. Karaoke created a lovely crowd with some amazing singers. Would highly recommend popping in.

A lovely little local pub we often stop for a drink here when we're in Whitby. Staff are friendly and welcoming and it's priced fairly reasonably.

What I amazing pub it's the best place to visit in Whitby. I will always end my night here, music is always good.

First Visit to Whitby on Saturday 7th January Arrived at 12 noon, with my partner n our dog, Nice that dogs welcome, Me partner ordered 2 large cokes n enquired about food, sadly no food being served! Must be the only pub in Whitby with no food on a Saturday! I went to use the men’s loos which were absolutely disgusting, soaking wet floors and I mean soaking wet, the tiny cubicle with a stainless steel public toilet installed, closed the door only to find NO LOCK and NO DOOR handle !!! The only way to get out was to put my hand under the door n pull it open We left and found another lovely dog friendly pub, with great food.

Miserable staff, think she's in the wrong trade!!

Not good at all, as the woman behind the bar had poured my drink wrong, when I asked if she would change this she pulled me to bits in front of customers at the bar, then when I was leaving she was outside smoking telling other customer what had happened, how unprofessional is she , the pub had a good atmosphere, shame about the woman.

We popped in for a couple of pints while in the centre. After finding out we could take our own food in, hubby nipped round the corner for chips. It's also dog friendly too. 😁

Absolutely beautiful , amazing lady and her daughter is very knowledgeable .maybe small but you will be looking in the shop for hours ....also you will find what you want here

Great place, tasty fish n chips.

Oh this is a fun pub, really friendly. Plays great music and trying to sup your drink while the mostly horrendous karaoke is on is hilarious and very entertaining. However there was one lass who did a great rendition of Stealer's Wheel's "Stuck In the Middle Of You" which we just had to get up and dance to. Last time we came in here there was great music on too, we never stopped dancing. Will deffo revisit.

Love this place lovely little treasure trove, very small little quaint shop but has three floors, even on face book, owner and young daughter are lovely! Alway vist when we are up here in Whitby..

An absolute pleasure. The management lead byTammy inspire their team in every aspect. Fabulous service with drinks at very reasonable prices. If you are visiting Whitby this place is a must. Quality people. I was extremely impressed by the level of hospitality shown. I will definitely come back. You don't have to be a master of algebra to know that this pub has got what it takes, Will they remember me, I sincerely hope so. Take care you guys!
