Beautiful fresh fish as always. Scallops were excellent. The poached egg was seconds away from perfection, but it was ok.

Can't fault anything! Food was piping hot when it arrived and portion sizes are very big!

Brilliant service. Delicious food. Lovely venue We were part of a huge family Easter Sunday get together and we had our own separate area. The food was delicious and even though we ordered separately, it arrived on good time and together. The servers did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. We didn't feel we were being rushed to leave. Thank you Larch Farm, you are our new favourite.

Really good quality food. Portions are just about right I'd say. Prices are quite reasonable I'd say as well, no wonder it's always very busy. I would suggest booking in advance as it's clearly very popular. Plenty of parking and an easily accessible entrance.

Had fish&chips, waitress brought them to the table, get this, actually had scissors and cut the vinegar tablets off thus saving time trying to open the damaged things, lovely warm chips would other restaurants take note well done larch

Fish. It was the first thing that hits you as you walk through the door. Try some. It is good. The font on the allergies is way too small to be of any use. Suggest they make it bigger.

Been going every week for a number of years now and have never been disappointed yet,quallity of food excellent and the staff are very friendly and competent.

I had prawn cocktail then fish and chips and a lemon cake with custard it was all delicious staff friendly and the place is very cosy and I loved the Dustin decor

Love this place , never had a bad meal and staff can't do enough for you , it's a lovely building lots of bits and bobs to look at , its a busy place , tables are near each other , so can get a bit noisy if parties are booked in , but all in all it's great , prices are reasonable it gets a big thumbs up from me haha 😆

Good food at good prices good atmosphere service was great

Went for dinner here last night. The pie I had was the best I've had in a while. Not so keen on the chips, but they weren't awful, just not my preferred style. My partner had the veggie curry and said it was good. The place is interestingly decorated and very pleasant. Beer was good, but a bit on the safe side when it comes to options. It was busy on a Tuesday evening, which is a good sign. Overall very good and will definitely be returning.

I saw their ads, they said that they provide products from their farms, but in fact, I left without believing it. But they had great, fresh, quality food. I loved it very much. Even though we are 20 miles apart, I think about going there every week. The staff was also very friendly.

Just had an excellent meal at Larch farm pub,I can highly recommend the homemade pie of the day and my wife enjoyed scampi meal the ladies who brought our meals out couldn't do enough to make our visit rememberable and will definitely be back for round two.

Best fish and chips, deserts are amazing, reasonably priced food for the area, staff are lovely.

Disgusting food .. service even worse. Not by waitress, she was lovely..behind the bar and taking orders ..no customer service..Rude, 🤬 no manners...in the wrong job,and apparently he was the manager! Disgraceful! Never back !

Excellent Sunday lunch. Amazing fish and seafood platter that I really should have shared. Delicious. Excellent prices, obviously popular place. My wife had a roast and with 1½ pints of Abbot, it still came to less than £40.

Had funeral wake held here Nothing too much trouble for staff all very friendly and helpful whicj always helps in these circumstances. The buffet was excellent quality all fresh and lovely selection. Thankyou.

This is always my go to place for meeting my friends for breakfast. Food is always good, and staff super friendly you can't go wrong! Iv also booked for a Sunday lunch which again was definitely worth it

Me and my husband called for lunch we hadn't booked the waitress found us a table which we had to vacate by 1.45 was plenty time for us to order our food didnt have to wait long for fish and chips which was hot and best we.ve had for a long time

Iv tried some local restaurants recently and this is the best of the bunch. They sell Guinness 0% none alcohol, the food was really nice ,the service excellent, impressed with the price and layout plus Christmas decor. Definitely come here again.

Thank goodness for somewhere that allows a group to get together for a meal. We were a group of 11 for a family birthday. The food was quite good too.

We called in for a spare of the moment breakfast, lovely inside but the overwhelming smell of fried food/fish was off putting. Ordered two traditional breakfasts, bacon cooked only on onside and fatty, egg over cooked, grilled tomato was raw, hash brown greasy. Flat white coffee was very poor. Just shy of £20 not really worth it, wouldn’t go here again for breakfast!

me and my family visited larch farm last on Friday the 3rd of November round mid day and the service from the younger female staff was very poor. 1. Pub was quiet yet somehow we were stilling having to ask the waiter if they could bring out our food after we'd finished our starters ( food arrived 40 minutes later) 2. The waiter then brought over our food stating the food and said nothing else, she didn't ask if we needed any sauces etc.. so my girlfriend had to call her back to ask for ketchup. She went and got them and didn't bother handing it to any of us and just threw them onto the edge of the table and said nothing 3. Overall just poor service

It was very crowded, but the service was good. The food was tasty but was not hot. Waitress took plates back to the kitchen to be reheated. Good atmosphere and selection of drinks.

First time try their scampi,I was surprised that inside was grey and tested strange,later find out,that it's mean raw,after I feel strange all evening,never ever try their scampi,but my husband pie was nice

Booked a table yesterday for Sunday lunch at 3.00pm was very busy and a long queue at the bar to order. So we had to order our food/drink at the same time. Disappointed it not table service for our food. Our 3 Sunday Roasts came and was lukewarm did not taste freshly cooked. Cold plates we had half eaten it and was then asked if everything was ok. We said NO the food is lukewarm. She then took it away and put it in the microwave! Very unexceptable. The flavours were bland and we were not impressed will not be returning.

Having not eaten at Larch Farm for many years, I was recommended to try it by a friend. So me n mi dad went on Saturday for some lunch, and was very pleasantly surprised. The whole thing from start to finish was fabulous, the staff were very friendly, we managed to get a table even though we hadn't actually booked. The menu was very extensive, with a special offer on, as well as a lite bite menu, with smaller portions, which was perfect for my dad. We both ordered, I had scampi, dad had poached haddock with parsley sauce, both dishes were very tasty. Thanks Larch Farm.....we will definitely be back xxxx

Eat here a lot, but never been for breakfast. It was great, already planning our next visit.

We had a dinner time meal deal of two for £20 and I have to say it was just brilliant! They were really busy and we hadn't booked but they managed to find us a table, my wife had the fish and chips and I had pie chips peas and gravy. Both were excellent and the service was spot on. I would recommend booking just to make sure you get a table.

To cater for a party of 20+ and to ensure that all meals were served within 5 minutes of each other and all piping hot and delicious is a credit to the manager, kitchen staff and waiting girls. 5 Stars from all of us.

The staff were very helpful. The portions were small for the price. Compared with other establishments. Also not much selection of real ales. This was disappointing as the pub itself is lovely.

Was expecting a really nice meal. Overall it was same as any other pub food. Cakes were not very nice at all tasted old. Kings Mill farm has amazing fresh cakes was expecting something like that. No they were inedible here dogs liked them

We live locally, and often have breakfast here with family. The staff are friendly & welcoming, the surroundings are clean & comfortable, the food is lovely. Highly recommended!

We called in for lunch as we were driving past. We asked if there was a table available The woman with dark hair in a long pony tail asked if we’d booked and we said no. She didn’t even look at us and said well if you haven’t booked I only have 2 tables and they are 6 seaters you’ll have to sit there. We both felt very un welcome and felt like we shouldn’t sit on the 6 table. It was quite embarrassing. It’s a shame because the food is lovely. If she doesn’t like people don’t work with people. Certainly not general public !!

Not for us. Busy and plenty of people enjoying it. Fish starter with wide variety was good and daughters salmon nice. Big portions but quality of the burger patty poor. But low cost. Service was nice from bar but lacking in restaurant but lots of tables few staff, prices are very low so you cant have it all.

Our starters were lovely. The fish platter and scallops shared between the 4 of us. Mains were disappointing. I had the pie which had little taste. Salmon in sweet chill sauce was lovely but the burgers were very disappointing and tasted cheap. Sadly we won't be dashing back.

Absolutely great experience.Lovely inside and outside.Great for sunny day to sat and enjoy food and drink after walk at local woods or visiting Newstead Abbey. We find it through reviews, and we are going back (table already booked ). Service very friendly and with smile, busy but 30minutes waiting time at weekend wasn't any issue, and we been informed about it. We had fish and chips what was fresh and delicious. Big for both of us , so we didn't fit pudding(we saw cakes what looks yummy). We will be seeing you at end of month, and I for sure will try pudding too! Thank you for such a lovely time.

We had lovely sunny late lunch and drinks.Both had fish and chips, and it was delicious. Staff very welcome and smiling, polite and chatty. Great outside space where we enjoyed our drink and short time wait for food(30minutes what we was informed , but it was very busy!). It was worth it. We book to back again and try something different in a 2weeks time as our treat to start time off. Lovely decor. Very very tasty and fresh food. We was too stuffed to have pudding, I love fo try cakes!

5 of us booked a table for Friday lunch at 12.30pm. When we were seated, nothing was said about a time limit. We ordered at about 12.45 and waited an hour for our food. We didn't mind as we had a lot to chat about. Just before our food arrived, I noticed a small card on the table that said we had to vacate the table by 2.15pm. We ate our lunch (food was lovely, couldn't fault it), and we chose our desserts and went to order at the bar, it was 10 past 2. The server said you only have 5 minutes left, we said well it's not our fault it took an hour for our food to arrive and we haven't finished, as we would like dessert and then coffee. She told us the table is booked at 2.30 by Friday regulars "it's their table". I said well it doesn't belong to them, you can seat them somewhere else. Absolutely not, oh no, it's their table every week we were told. She said we were told this when we booked, that is not true, nothing was said at any time, it was only the little card on the table that alerted us to this fact. She would not put the 2.30pm people onto a different table, even though there was empty tables available, it was us that had to either leave the restaurant or move tables. We decided to leave and go down the road to Ravenshead Farm shop for cake and coffee (highly recommend and cheaper than Larch Farm). This is not how you treat paying customers, all she cared about was this party who sit at the same table every week. She didn't care about us, we could have become regulars too. We won't be returning, which is a shame as the food was nice. Be warned if you book a table on Fridays, you may be allocated the table for the regulars. I do wonder what would have happened if they had taken even longer to serve our food, and we had still been eating when the regulars had arrived. Would they have taken out plates away half eaten? Bullied us into moving to a different table? Well they won't get the chance in future as we won't be returning.

We visited as a family of 6 on Friday evening for dinner! Food was good as always and service from everyone was great but the reason for the post is Josh!! An absolute credit to you, he went over and above when we asked for a cold plate to put my daughters (aged 3) pasta on so it cooled down, he explained the heat in the kitchen which we greatly understood and he ran the bowl under a cold tap and added ice to cook it down faster! It meant that we could all eat at the same time! The heat must have been unbearable in the kitchen so just a big thank you to all but especially Josh for going over and above and genuinely being great and friendly :) Thank you!

Great pub. Layout , decor and service are all excellent. Good choice of drinks. Food is a bit below par. That’s a shame because the menu & specials board look quality.

The staff are lovely with our 95 year old dad, today was no exception always a quick word with him, this always makes him feel special :) dad had is usual chips and egg followed by apple pie and custard 10/10 for customer service x

We come every other week for food with the family, the staff are so friendly and so welcoming, never had a bad meal from her whilst we’ve been coming for the last 3 years

We have visited the Larch Farm on a regular basis. It is our favourite restaurant . Comprehensive menu with Special Boards, with a fantastic choice of fresh fish and home made dishes. Always exceptional service from all the staff , especially Sarah, Hannah and Anthony. We would recommend The Larch Farm to everyone. 5 stars every time!

We have been going to Larch Farm for many years and I'm sorry to say the food isnt the best anymore. The chips have a funny taste. The onion rings are never cooked properly and the batter is often soggy. We won't be returning in a hurry 😞
