Best/most delicious fresh curry/karahi in Notts. Been coming here for years and never let u down. Both chicken and lamb karahi top notch. Like how they charge by weight for fresh cooked. Decent lamb chops & tasty nann too.

When they have the keema [mince meat] curry it's my favourite, the whole chicken isn't bad either.

The chicken karahi was just next level and the best I have eaten for a long time. Has to be best in Midlands & South Yorks. We ordered the minimum £20/1kg fresh chicken karahi which took 30-35mins to cook and serve. Delicious and worth the wait. The £7/6 lamp chops were tender and well marinaded starter that tidies you over till the main. Naan are lovely and fluffy (no butter) Has classic kebabs/dirty doner combo's too. Was quiet at 1.30pm on Sat. Decent, friendly staff. Its no frills diner/takeout place, decent menu, limited seating space and parking is difficult yet we will be back soon to try the lamb karahi & kebabs.

Staff rude food hygiene bad and food under cooked over priced front display fridge got mould on edges counter staff wiped nose didnt wash hands

The tawa is good value and everything was tasty, I only mark them down on the atmosphere because the store was freezing cold at the time.

This was my second trip to Lajawab takeaway after about three years. I went to see some friends in Nottingham and my friends are regular customers at this location. I left it to my friend to order some grilled food. There was a mixture of tandoori chicken, seek kebabs, lamb chops, chicken tikka, shish meat. The food was freshly cooked and the nans were freshly cooked and soft. The food was piping hot and went down a treat. I would recommend this takeaway if you haven't tried it, try it, you eat in and take away and there is sufficient on street parking..

broken chairs and tables, ordered a burger with milked down mayo and watery ketchup, the burger was slipping out the bun, not a very nice place at all and the burger took 25mins to cook. Waste of time and money

Great traditional Asian food. The tawa is very well priced and food on it is very tasty. can get a tad busy to eat inside but I usually just takeaway.

We had chicken keema and seekh kabab there keema was nice and perfectly cooked but kababs are little dull on taste side service was excellent and quick.

Its a good place to eat if you like traditional Pakistani spiced curry's,you can ring and order a curry to your requirement.better to take out then eat in as this place gets very busy in the evening.

The location of the shop is based on an accident prone and robbery area. Be cautious of the road as hostile drivers will always challenge as the roads are narrow with no police presence. Better off defending yourself. The police are sketchy and incriminate those who report incidents so highly recommend not reporting anything. Had a tawa for 4 recently for iftari, sorry to say the food was very disappointing. Very dry and bland. For $40 the portion was unexceptable.

Friendly staff, the usual takeaway kind of food. Such as curries, kebabs, burgers and grilled food. Most of there food is to level where you will not be disappointed. There are 4 chairs to each table and to be honest not that many tables. So don't think you can go for a dinner party. Also not suitable for families or couples that would like there privacy. There is a WC (Unisex), unfortunately no disabled access or facilities. Regarding parking, there are spaces available depending on the time. You can probably park in street close by. Further up there are two masjid's as well. If you are getting late for pray.

Ordered a chicken curry and keema nan, chicken in the curry was cold and mince lamb in the naan was pink and not fully cooked. Highly disappointed

No hay nada que ver, sin lujos, y muchas personas simplemente pasarán caminando. El interior es básico, pero es una especie de café con cuchara grasienta. Sirve buena comida básica a buen precio. El cordero karahi que tuvimos fue increíble! ! Servido con roti, etc. Obviamente, este es un buen lugar, ya que es frecuentado por los lugareños y tiene un flujo constante de clientes, comer y llevar. Solo hay unas pocas mesas adentro. Hace un poco de humo por dentro con la cocina, ese fue el único inconveniente. Y debido a eso te fuiste con tu ropa oliendo a humo. Aparte de eso, fue genial! ! !

Every piece of meat turned out to be a knuckle of bone covered with fat. Given how busy it was, I'm concerned that as a bloke walking in off the street I got ripped off so bad.

Amazing little place! We opted for the Tawa for two, all meats grilled to perfection with the perfect balance of spices. The only criticism the variety of food on the Tawa isn't balanced, the portion of chips is to large and there wasn't enough curry to go around other then that amazing value for money and we had a authentic Masala tea to wash is all down with.

Make good chicken kharai and Palak chicken and sitting space is not enough specially for family
