We recently celebrated my daughter’s 15th birthday at Chaska, and I must say it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm and vibrant desi-themed ambiance that instantly set the mood. The nostalgic Bollywood music playing in the background, with a perfect mix of classic hits and current favorites, added a lively yet sentimental touch to the atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive and courteous, making sure every detail was taken care of — from seating arrangements to food service. Their hospitality truly made our gathering special. Now, onto the food — simply spectacular! We ordered the Kabuli platter, which was a generous spread of mouth-watering barbecue mutton, chicken, and chapli kebabs, each cooked to perfection. The fresh rotis and Kabuli pulao rice, accompanied by flavorful sweet and pudina chutneys, were the perfect complements to the meats. Every bite was a burst of authentic flavor! They also offered a lovely selection of lassis and mocktails, which paired perfectly with the lively vibe of the celebration. Refreshing and well-crafted, they were a big hit among the adults and teens alike. We had a group of about 30-35 people, and every single guest left impressed by the food, the service, and the overall experience. It’s rare to find a place that can accommodate a large gathering while maintaining such high standards of food and service. Pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the rich ambiance, attentive service, and top-notch food quality. Special thanks to Mr. Hussain, the owner, who was incredibly cooperative and accommodating. His personal attention to ensuring that every dish and drink was served with care and perfection made a real difference. It’s clear he is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience to every guest. Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a family get-together, birthday party, or just a special meal in a cozy, vibrant setting. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This is a great place to go before the Savoy Cinema - easy enough to park and great food. A warm welcome to a relaxed, family feeling restaurant. Food was great value and large portions served quickly by friendly staff.

Great food and staff were amazing. Been a o many authentic restaurants and by far the best in Nottingham for me, the Daal is the best Daal I have tasted and best Chicken curry. Will defo be a regular now and will recommend to all my family and friends. Thank you to Hussain and team:)

Unprofessional restaurant. Supposed to open at 10 am on Sunday. However they open as per their convenience. Went to restaurant today it was closed and when I called staff they were unapologetic and rude.

Found a hair in our food! Then when we pointed this out the waiter shrugged and didn’t replace and also look to charge for this We ordered Charsi Karahi and this should’ve been boneless but came with bones and when mentioned this the waiter said that you didn’t specify when ordering - I would expect that if there are two choices the waiter should ask for clarification and the menu wasn’t clear that there was two options in the first place For the leftover food we asked to take this away to avoid any wastage, they actually charged for the takeaway boxes! I have never been to a restaurant before where they charge for this, perhaps I’m out of touch

Ordered 2 x Tawa to feed 6 people. Bill came to £100. However I was gobsmacked at the 4 teeny tiny tubs of sauces they gave us! To feed 6 people! Bit of a joke. But it’s under new ownership. As long as the original chefs remain - I will order food, if the chefs change then it won’t be amazing anymore, big up to the Chefs.

Eaten here twice in the last month with work colleagues and have to say on both occasions food and service were fantastic. Enjoyed the tawa for 2 first time, and tawa for 4 second time. Can’t fault anything and is reasonably priced.

I went to this place for the first time overall it was a good experience if I say about environment and service. But expected from the food specially with the dishes that I have tasted before there was a big difference in the taste. And comparing the price of the deal that we got, was slightly higher. Almost everything was on the basic standard. Not matching the actual taste very closely.

Rubbish taste...never have had this type of experience...they don't even know how to offer a platter..only 4 things they put in distance in a large steel plate...I dnt know why people keep going there..I will recommend everyone just go and visit once TAWA in Luton in only 25£ for two three people and u can call it a platter full of chops kababs rice roti chips fries daal and tikkas etc....we have experience chaska first time and finds a dirty oil food...

Called in for a meal as we were passing, hungry and had an hour to spare. What a wonderful experience. Fantastic food, excellent service, didn't have to wait very long for the food which was very tasty, flavoursome and delicious. We will certainly make an effort to return.

I had an amazing breakfast experience at Chaska Nottingham.I went there today “Sunday” morning, and their traditional Desi breakfast absolutely hit the spot. The poori’s were light and crispy, the chana was perfectly spiced, and the halwa was rich and delicious. Their aloo paratha was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming,If you’re looking for a proper Desi breakfast in Nottingham this place is highly recommended,Can not wait to go back

We came a few years ago and left disappointed. Never returned, recently I had a pregnancy craving of pakoras and they were the only ones open, so we risked it and to our surprise they were lovely! So we assumed the chef had changed. On valentines we ordered the tawa for 2 for takeaway… when we collected and brought it home. All was good until we opened it. Shocked is an under statement. For £36. Wallahi there was only 3 diced chicken peices in the chicken karahi, the same in the lamb, the tubs were just filled with the curry masala. We had to fish around to find any form of meat. And then… the Seekh kebabs stank like the meat was off so we didn’t eat that.. the only edible thing was the rice, chips, naan!!! Heavily disappointed and wasted money. Will never return.

Excelente experiencia en Chaska anoche. El servicio fue rápido y atento, el Afghani Tawa era genial, mucha comida de calidad decente, excelente Qabuli pulao, shish brillante. Definitivamente vale la pena el precio y un buen ejemplo de cómo se puede hacer excelente comida por un precio justo. Cerca del centro de la ciudad, pero lejos de los precios del centro.

Wife dined in with friends and brought home the Afghan Tikka. It was ridiculously delicious, soft and tender with an unreal flavour. I’ve already told all the lads and will be booking a visit soon for a larger portion!

Brilliant restaurant with delicious indian food. Great decor and ambiance with a bollywood soundtrack playing in the background. Good service from all staff and we're very accommodating to any request. As for the food it was very good and portions were big so good value for money. Will be definitely going again when I'm in the area and would definitely recommend any one to go if they are lovers of Indian food. Recommended you try the Indian Tapas! (See Photo)

El ambiente es reconfortante y relajado con familias y parejas disfrutando de su tiempo. Por último, para guardar lo mejor para el final: el servicio prestado fue absolutamente sobresaliente. El camarero Ali se rió y bromeó con nosotros y rápidamente nos ayudó con cualquier cambio y consultas. Fue realmente encantador comer y pasar mi tiempo aquí, sin duda volveré de nuevo!

We used to be regular visitors to Chaska, drawn in by its delicious recipes and vibrant street food flavors. However, our experience until yesterday was a stark departure from our expectations. We had invited a few vegetarian friends for dinner, anticipating the same great service we had always enjoyed. We ordered the platters—one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian—both of which are highlights of the restaurant. When the platters arrived, they were a feast for the eyes. The non-vegetarian platter was fantastic, but our joy quickly turned to shock when one of our vegan guests discovered a large chunk of chicken in their mixed vegetable curry. We immediately alerted the Chaska team, hoping for a swift resolution. Unfortunately, their response was disappointing and immature. They responded that "sometimes curries get mixed," suggesting the chicken must have "fallen from the grill" into the curry. This lack of professionalism and accountability exacerbated an already ruined evening. While we understand that mistakes can happen, how they are addressed speaks volumes about a restaurant's service. In this case, there was little acknowledgment or apology, leaving us feeling embarrassed and frustrated. Our guests were left without an appetite, and it was too late to salvage the evening elsewhere. Regrettably, after this experience, we’ve decided that Chaska will no longer be on our list of places to visit.

Poor service from the waiters & the food was average. Also another Pakistani restaurant labeled as Indian, are you ashamed to say it’s Pakistani?Hugely overrated in my experience.

Always a good meal here, we usually order the Tawa for 2, plenty enough food and good choice on offer. Went there recently with a party of seven, and also had the vegetarian tawa, which went down well, very nice. Soft drinks only, good atmosphere, and good value for money.

I wouldve given extra stars for the service if i couldve. I dont remember the name of the uncle but he was a riot! Coming to the food we got: Poori nashta: cant go wrong, the aaloo ki bhujia was especially spot on Aaloo paratha: delicious, had proper seasoning Mooli paratha: couldve used a bit more spices Chai: spot on Desi anda: as desi as you couldve gotten it Just a suggestion: raita ya chatni wouldve been awesome with the parathas or even plain dahi. The dahi thwy gave was sweet dahi and i guess its a different tradition with everyone. All in all would definitely visit again
