Había una amplia selección de comida, todo autoservicio excepto el té y el café. El desayuno cocinado incluía tocino tipo inglés y una selección de salchichas.

El desayuno era genial, pero el almuerzo previsto para el evento al que asistíamos fue un poco decepcionante. : (

Utilicé esto durante su estancia en la plaza de la corona, con un par de pantallas de televisión tranquilas que mostraban el deporte, que era agradable. Puedes elegir no mirar, por supuesto. La comida estaba caliente y bien preparada mi pescado y patatas fritas estaba un poco salada, pero como no como sal. . . mostró, por qué la sal se agrega antes del servicio está más allá de mí. De todos modos, lo que como estuve bien. Uno de los mejores restaurantes de hotel

I don't like eating out so was dreading it anyway but had as it was my parents 25th wedding anniversary. I booked this place as they has there wedding reception here. The retaurant wqs right bect ro the bar so wasnt too official. Food was gorgeous and service was quick and with a smile. Would defo come back here.

Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, buffet style. Juices, fruit, yogurt, cereals, cooked food eta on offer

Staying in crowne plaza all weekend . Arrived and decided to try the restaurant .The quality was poor my pork medallion was like rubber My daughter aged 9 ate from the kids menu choosing grilled chicken which turned up like road kill ! Chips are poor quality frozen ! Asked for the dessert menu which they brought but no one came back for our order . Joe.

Well, this is hard to review as we loved and hated it at the same time. We arrived early to have a few drinks in the bar, that was lovely, the guys behind the bar, very friendly and know their stuff! We got seated for our meal and our waiter was lovely if not a little nervous? Anyway, we ordered, starters came out which were amazing, very well cooked and just delicious. That got cleared. We were never offered water, we had to ask. We ordered another bottle of wine and before I could say can we have clean glasses the wine was poured in the same glass. I don't mind this if it's the same wine but it was different. So the wine was flowing, me and my partner deep in conversation and after a while, around 45 mins later we had to ask where our main was??? The waiter came back and he had forgot to put our order through. By this time, we had enough, for the money we was paying we wasn't prepared to carry on with the dining, we didn't think the experience was worth the money. The waiter was very apologetic, he told us he had only started a few days ago and was still learning. We said don't worry, it's all fine but we would just like the bill. They had only charged us for one bottle of wine and the starter, which was actually really nice of the restaurant to do that. When we left we even tipped the young waiter we had as he was so lovely, just nervous and probably trying too hard. The wine we had was superb and the starters were equally as tasty but overall bloody terrible !! We may come back in the future. Maybe the restaurant should give the new waiters some training beforehand??

The service was good and the food was as you would expect from a good quality hotel for breakfast buffet service. Nothing too much trouble for the staff - what's not to like?

All 6 of our party had lunch at the Lace Maker. No complaints. Well presented, wholesome food, freshly cooked to order. Omelettes yummy!

You have all that you want here! Bacon, eggs, pork sausage, Cumberland sausage, beans, tomato, mushrooms, black pudding. Then fresh juices aswell as water. Croissants, bread, toast, cheeses, fruit, cereals, jams. I think I've covered most items of the exstensive menu, but I feel you get your money's worth and the staff wait on you and keep your table clean between each serving you require. You can order smoked haddock/kippers also. They get you either fresh coffee or tea. Loved every bit of this experience as the food gets refreshed frequently to the point of overflowing. Fresh is the name of the game and the Crowne Plaza play it well. Hats off to them for their top 5* service. Would visit again soon.

Stayed a weekend here whilst on business. Breakfasts were more than adequate with a vast choice of cold or hot food. The coffee was quite good too which I do not get in many hotels. Did not have an evening meal here, so can not comment, but if the breakfast is anything to go by, one should not be disappointed.

The place serves delicious food and fantastic location. Staff are great! Central to shopping hot spots. Always enjoyed the meal.

Visited on a Friday night and it wasn't very busy. Ordered rib eye steak, at £22 I expected a nice meaty steak, it was more like a flattened sirloin. I ordered medium rare and it arrived medium no blood left inside. The thick cut chips are not great, most of them undercooked and inedible. Good services is the only good thing to say.

Every breakfast choice available. Hot or cold buffet. All the tea, coffee or juices you needed. Pleasant seating areas in the indoor tree lined avenue.

good quality food. A bit monotounous on day 2 . Good range of intresting salads and carvery. Plenty of staff to help and clean up.

It's all there, from the fried Bread and Black Pudding, beans, hash browns, mushrooms, two sorts of sausages, eggs, and an omelette chef ... it's all there. Juices are very good, so is the coffee and if you really want to hold back, there is natural yoghurt to go with the cereals.

Great location and easy to find.. The feel of the place is great. Our group of 8 alll agreed a great time was had... Perfect service, thank you cloe ( i think that was your name ) Reasoniable prices and such a good selection.. The restaurant is relaxed.. As a previous review I do like cups n saucers ...Please.. Moved to write a review on a fabulous idea that went sadly very wrong all because of dire Customer service!Combining parking for the Theatre and a 2 courses meal for just £15, what excellent value!Although the menu was limited the food was really good, but unfortunately my praise stops here!The service was just farcical! The waitress that took our order didn’t know what a glass of bitter was, she asked me if it was 'beer like Beck’s', then when I told her it was similar, but Beck’s is Lager, she got confused, she added later that the ‘it's the Customers what learn me loads’!The lack of table clearance, the fact that I had to go to the bar (where a number of staff were milling about) to order more drinks, the candles being lit by someone else halfway through our meal, the 20 minute wait for 2 chocolate brownies meant the coffees came before the sweets, just a dreadful Customer service experience.What a shame, someone has come up with a winning idea but they are being let down badly. The kitchen are on side and produces great food, but the service is very poor. The staff appear poorly trained and lack direction and as the waitress kept changing there seemed to be no accountability.Just read some previous similar reviews, clearly the Management need to sort this place out because it could be great!

I ate here with colleagues following a meeting and we had a great evening. Staff were welcoming and attentive.The menu had some great options and they even catered for various allergies in the group. When it arrived the meals were well presented and delicious, the salad that accompanied my chicken could have been a meal in itself. It was described as a Mediterranean Salad and had huge chunks of feta, pumpkin seeds and a lovely dressing.Starters and puddings equally tasty (most of us had two courses). The one thing I would want to improve would be that the coffee is served in cups and saucers rather than mugs.

Decent ambience, decent menu, good location with edible ok food all ruined by the untrained, couldn't care less attitude of the service staff.The worst service I have experienced for years. We decided to go there because we had a Tastecard giving 2 for 1. I would need it to be free to go again, wasting even £1 on that dining experience would be too much!Time and time again I refer to staff training or the lack of it, this is a classic example but then add in staff who have zero interest and this is the experience you get!To end a meal in what is supposed to be reasonably upmarket, well priced as such, with a black coffee served in a builders mug just said it all! To then find the coffee was Espresso and be told that's all they serve was amazing! Stay away, ££ are too precious to waste them here!

Oh dear. When something seems to cheap there is probably a reason for it. We decided on the Crowne Plaza's festive lunch with disco - £14.95 for a carvery lunch seemed very reasonable. Took 14 people from the office.food - vegetable soup, or pureed vegetables. The latter. Pate will a skin on it and the limpest lettuce garnish. Clearly been left around for a long time. Main course carvery average. Mean portions of turkey. Same skin issue with salmon which had been under a heat lamp for too long. Massively overcooked veg. Carrots hacked into chunks. Gravy not refreshed - pot was empty. Puddings ok.Surly staff who when questioned about the pate took no notice. Advertised disco in the basement bar never happened. The barman said they were not really open. He was playing Travis from his laptop. When asked where the disco was, we were told there never was one. Asked to change the music which did eventually happen. However entire bar was filthy. Cobwebs hanging from the pictures. The bathroom was very tired and dated and grubby. Not grubby from that day, built up dirt around fixtures and fittings that need a deep clean.Did email to complain but was fobbed off, so am waiting for a response from the venue itself rather than the chain owners but nothing forthcoming two weeks later. Would absolutely avoid at all costs in future unless they can convince me to change my mind.Certainly getting no recommendations as a place to stay/dine from our group

We ate at the Lacemaker for the first time earlier this month after purchasing a Groupon voucher. Upon arrival we ascended the stairs to the impressive atrium and were seated in the restaurant area. Our waitress was very attentive and helped us to make some great choices! We shared the camembert to start which was delicious and then both had the steak which was fab. Our waitress kindly offered to register on the VIP scheme which gave us loads of vouchers in the post - very impressed! All in all a great night. We will be back and highly recommend.

My wife and I purchased a Gourmet Meal for 2 for the Lace Maker via Groupon. What a mistake! The meal was terrible. The waitress tried to convince me that the food was freshly prepared, my chicken had clearly been cooked several hours before and reheated. It was as dry as dry could be! The service was poor, the waitress was more intent on discussing her personal life with a colllegue rather than asking how the food was. I wrote to complain afterwards, the Manager hasn't had the decency to reply. So all in all, most disappointing. Will I go back, most definitely not!

We purchased our first ever cheap groupon voucher here at the lace market restaurant, and I must say we were impressed with the quality of food we recieved, which for me is a first as we are foodies and do eat at good places...We will return, service was a little slow, but you could hardly complain with what we paid! Staff were lovely and treated us as if we were full price paying public.My steak was fabulous one of the nicest I've tasted... Deserts lovely, had a assiette, of choc brownie creme brûlée and eton mess yummy!Goats cheese tart was delicious too. Thank you for our first reasonable enjoyable meal out.

Visited as a Groupon deal, the two waiting staff struggled to deal with 3 tables, waited an age after being seated before having to ask to order a drink before the meal. The choice was very limited and then limited even further by being told that one of the starters could not be ordered unless it was to share. I ended up with an inedible goats cheese tart, The main course was chorizo chicken & patas bravas which was very nice but confusingly called chicken supreme.The groupon deal was £22 for 2 people to have 2 courses. I had what in my opinion was only worth £11, so whilst not feeling ripped off, I certainly did not feel that I had benefitted in any way from a Groupon reduction.

We visited The Lace Maker with a Groupon voucher and unlike so many other groupons we were treated as a valued customer. The food and staff were great and we could not fault it in anyway. We are now looking forward to visiting again and having yet another memorable evening out.
