Absolute gem of a place. One of the oldest establishments of its kind in the area. Tasty and quality food. Hits the spot every time. Highly recommended.

Kushi Tandoori is our go to Indian takeaway. The food is always delicious, hot and ready on time. Our particular favourites are the Mixed Kebab starter, Chicken Tikka Bahar and their fluffy naan. The Signature Specials are also wonderful.

Didn't eat no flavour , meat is not lamb, unsure if a combination of chicken and beef. would only taste good after 20 beers

IAM very sorry to have to say this kishi I bought a tikka extra hot and a chicken rice it was so bad put it in the bin £27.00 the only thing that was great was the onion bahjis never again

I ordered a couple of meals for delivery. when it arrived there was a dish missing. The chap went back to pick it up, and 30 minutes later he arrived back empty handed and asked me to phone the manager, who asked me if I still wanted the dish and it would be a further 40 minutes. At which point I lost my cool and paid the driver for the part of the meal that did arrive. This was my first and last time I would use this place

Leaflet posted through our door advertising free delivery within 3 miles , we checked on maps that we were within three miles , we were . We placed order only to be told that we were too far away. Why leaflet our address in that case and why take order before deciding we were too far away.

Desperately scouting Harrogate for a new regular Indian for takeaway, and saw a lot of people recommend here on a Facebook page, so gave it a try. Ordering process was easy on their website, lots to choose from! We opted for collect as it's only a 10 minute walk away from us. We ordered a mixed platter for 2, chicken tikka, chicken tikka pathia, boiled rice, pilau rice, and a garlic naan. £33.55 - not too bad! Food wasn't as hot as I thought it would be upon arrival, but that could be because my partner walked to pick it up. The starter: it was okay. The lamb tikka was lush, the chicken tikka was a bit dry, the seekh was very dry, the pakora didn't seem cooked properly as the batter was soft and almost mushy on the inside. The samosa was okay and so was my partners bhaji. (Forgot to take pics as I was starving) The mains: my tikka for some reason had a lemon wedge, cucumber and tomato on top which threw me but was fine, I just picked them out. What it doesn't say on their website is there's some onion in the sauce which I didn't like as the texture of onion freaks me out, especially as it was in long slivers. Thankfully, there wasn't much onion in it, I just wish I knew from the product description online. The chicken was marinated in tikka though which added a nice flavour to the chicken! It did have a slight bit of spice too which was nice. There was plenty chicken, too! My partner enjoyed his pathia, althought it nearly blew his head off. Very spicy, but he was able to eat it! He did say he would get something else next time tho. Sides and sundries: the salads came in a little bag. The naan came in a bag. We got free poppadoms. The naan had pieces of garlic poked into the naan dough - bit weird, but my partner liked it. I just didn't find it as garlic-y as places that use a garlic paste-like coating. The pilau rice was a bit of a let down. Says on the website "rice dishes are cooked with herbs and spices and seasoned". Wrong. Was just white rice with some dyed pieces. Not proper pilau. Nowhere we've ordered from apart from Aakash in Knaresborough has proper pilau rice and it's really frustrating. I personally had higher expectations for this place given the reviews, but it has been the best Indian we've tried so far. We both would eat from here again, but maybe not get starters.

Excellent take away last night, mixed platter starter was excellent all items very tasty, followed it with the Lamb Dopiaza which was superb, the meat was so tender. Made a Saturday night in very enjoyable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pre ordered for 7.20pm to coincide with rest of family who ordered from a different takeaway. Arrived 30 min early which meant we ate at different times. Why offer a pre order service just to ignore it?? Half the side orders were missing but did arrive very quickly. Poppadoms were too stale to eat. Anyway, things happen so we made the most of it and the food tasted good until..... One of us found a thick black hair in the food, then someone else found a thick black hair. The meal ended abruptly when another, you guessed it, thick black hair was found. We had no choice to throw the food in the bin and hope no one becomes ill due to the extreme lack of hygiene in that kitchen. Email and photo sent to company. Sadly, there was no response.

Ordered they got it totally wrong even though we only order same dishes about 1 time per month when called to sort it out they were rude on phone and said it’s up to us us we ever want to Order again no apology or refund will never order again after 8 years of loyalty

The best meal we've had in Harrogate. So good. We ordered the chicken korma and chicken tikka curry. Beyond delicious. Plain Naan, cooked perfectly. We will be back soon if not tonight!

I have just had the joy of sampling the worst Indian food I have ever had in my life. Black chicken, samosas that tasted like they was 100 years old, madras was just a tasteless, watery sauce. I have never in my life left a review before it was that shockingly bad I felt the need to let people know not to order from there unless you want food poisoning. 4.5 stars my a**e

I recently returned to Harrogate after 18 years living away and wanted to order an Indian takeaway. My brother told me that our family had collectively been ordering from here since i was a kid and that it was consistently good food. I ordered a king prawn tikka masala, keema rice and cheese and onion naan, it's honestly one of the best Indian meals that I've had in many years. None of it was reheated ( you can always tell with seafood ) the naan was unbelievably tasty and the rice was beautiful. I rarely comment on online platforms but i happily made an exception here, this is a company that i highly recommend. A decade is a unit of time rarely attributed to a businesses service and this takeaway has several decades of good service under its belt, got to be good.

Best Dal for miles. Revisited Kushi last night for the first time in a while and was reminded of what fantastic food they do here. Lovely fragrant authentic tandoori cooking. Easily could compete with some of the best in Bradford.

My favourite Indian takeaway in Harrogate! Won’t go anywhere else. Staff are friendly and quick to solve issues on the very rare occasion they occur.

Delicious daal. Nice staff. If you are from Pakistan, don't try there bridyani.

We have had loads of takeaway from the Kushi and it is always excellent, in my opinion the best in Harrogate. The guys a very friendly and helpful my only issue is making up my mind on what to have.Thank you Kushi Tandoori.

Amazing curry best in that area!

First time I had been there and it will be the last! The chipatis were a dull grey colour and really heavy and rubbery, the lemon rice was lumpy, the Keema madras was runny, the jalfreizi had big chunks of raw onion and over cooked peppers,, and it tasted bland, the nan was lovely, but came in a plastic bag, so was soggy, do not go here, waste of £25!!!!

Post-Covid edit - now ordering online and taking credit card payment...... Excelllent Asian / "Indian" food, made to order. Take out and cash only. I look forward to dinner from Kushi on my infrequent trips to Harrogate. They are friendly, un-assuming, good people and open later than most quality food places locally (10pm). Ordering by phone for collection or even delivery are possible. Customization also possible; new menu started in September I believe. GO THERE and support an excellent local business. ATM just along the road.

I just enjoyed one of my favorites. Lamb Tikka jalfreze, vegetable dansak, saag paneer, rice and papadam; added my own salad. It's good to support a down to earth, local family business, now taking orders online with card payments. Comfort food at its best - highly recommended.

Since Kushi reopened after Covid19 our takeaway has been even better than before!! Not sure why?? New Chef ? And for us it has always been consistently good each Friday night for over 5 years ! But for the last 5 Fridays all the dishes we have ordered have been the tastiest ever !! Best Indian takeaways we have ever had anywhere !- keep it up Kushi ! AMAZING !!

We have been a loyal customer since you opened and we have always praised the food until last night ,the mixed platter was cold and not very tasty,also the onion barjis and the sheekkebabs were poor the special biryani was not special at all sorry to write a bad review but let me no what you think

be really careful ! first time i ordered and the beef is disgusting it was smelly looked old and had a jelly feel to it. korma was dreadful and peshwari naan was just an uncooked naan with sugar. very dissapointed has put me off takeout. This is the kinda takeaway that will make people sick.

Kushi never fails. It's been on King's Road forever, and has to be the tiniest food outlet in town. Been there many times. Just had a great post-football takeaway, going for a Pathia, Rogan Josh and a Tandoori Butter - all fresh, all delicious, with 2 of the dishes coming with free naans. Took just over 10 minutes from order to completion.

I have returned here having heard that friends had recently had a good take away. I was not disappointed - super curry, rice and lovely nan bread at a reasonable price. Thank you - will be back!

Friendly staff, a very large selection of tasty food

When you get two less than half full plastic tubs alarm bells ring. This was once our favourite take-away , but no more. The sauce for the chicken madras and the prawn pathia taste identical ( a bit more sugar in the pathia ) you wonder why you botheed. This used to be spot on but is now a waste of money , and ,frankly, tasteless and over priced.

It is a real enigma this place. The flavours and dishes are awesome but the meat lets it down massively. I used to get the lamb dishes but now the lamb is so bad I cant risk it. I have moved on to Chicken dishes but they too suffer from the same problem. Its as if they use old meat from previous days alongside fresh meat. If they could sort this out, it would be up there as a great take-away, as it stands it is very disappointing.

After walking past the shop, we were tempted to order due to the delicious scent of the food. After ordering, we were not disappointed. Even the poppadoms had a lovely, slightly spicy flavour. A great takeaway for a curry.

Kushi has been going so long that you know it has to be good. A tradition in Harrogate. Food is clean, tasty and presentable. Prices are reasonable and delivery is included if you spend enough. What's not to like

Fue en dos mentes de conseguir llevar cuando leí los comentarios anteriores. Me alegro de no dejes que me echó, pedí sorpresa verduras y fue precioso, pero luz en diferentes vegetales. Sólo patata y con paneer pero aún cauli fabuloso me encantó y volveré a pedir de nuevo.

Tuvimos una comida tan bueno aquí la última vez, de ahí mi comentario completo de alabanza en octubre.Esta vez el sabor de nuestra Dhansak estaba caliente, pero sin profundidad de sabor. El panes Nan no parecía tan fresco como antes, y el precio era alto como los panes Nan se incluidos si pasamos más de 8 libras y lo solicite. Esta fue solicitada en el teléfono, pero nos encontramos en la colección que nos cobraron por ellas y no estaban dispuestos a incluir ellos, como se ha dicho. Pobre. No volveremos. . . . .

Having tried most of the Indian takeaways in Harrogate this is the best by miles!. Everything is freshly cooked to order and the food is lovely and authentic. It's the only one I use now.

This has been the best consistently good Indian takeaway in Harrogate for over 30 years. Used to get delicious takeaways from here in the '90's and after being disappointed with 2 other Indian takeaways in Harrogate area started to use Kushi again a few months ago - consistently good freshly cooked food with excellent service - would highly recommend !
