Korpan in Brighton and Hove

It is a great place for comfort food. Generous portions and delicious flavors! I would personally recommend the bibimbap!

I thought this was really good food and people - spicy noodle bowl with tofu was very spicy and great. Nice people running it as well.

Great tasty food and perfect to grab a quick healthy lunch. Owner is really lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something more exciting than a sandwich.

Cuando estoy teniendo un día realmente malo o me siento triste, a veces vengo por un Katsu Curry y algunas albóndigas. La comida es muy sabrosa y buena relación calidad-precio y el té también es fresco y de buena calidad. I confess I'm surprised Korpan hasn't been reviewed before. It's been there for a while in one of the units at Brighton's Open Market, off London Rd. This was our first visit. We've never been before as they have some fierce competition in the neighbouring Greek and falafel places in adjacent units. But we've been saying for a long time we'd try it and glad we finally have. It was particularly great for us as there are tables under cover of the market so we were able to take the dog and it's rare for Asian restaurants to be dog friendly. The lady who owns or manages the place was extremely friendly and came to chat and even brought treats for the hound. The menu is simple with Japanese ramen and Korean noodles plus rice and dumpling dishes. We shared some delicious vegetarian dumplings. And we both had Korean noodles which come with a choice of veggie/vegan/chicken/beef and in spicy or non-spicy options. The spicy chicken and spicy tofu were both excellent with a lovely mix of meat/tofu with noodles, herbs, vegetables, etc. And an excellent broth base. Superb, simple food in decent portions at a great price in a basic "street food" setting. We will definitely be back.
