Kokoro in Crawley

Purchased a takeaway via Deliveroo to celebrate a birthday. Found a huge, sharp shard of bone in my partner's meal, along with loads of tiny pieces making it inedible. Contacted Kokoro but they never bothered emailing or calling back. Poor kitchen practices and terrible customer service.

If you go to the place is amazing! But if you order late for dinner you will receive trash! I have ordered Sushi love set plus some other bits and payed over 20£ for that dinner. It arrives extremely cold, the amount was half of what it supposed to be of the rise inside it looks like they have tried to make a set with last product. After I finish that small amount I was still hungry and they have only contacted me to ask me what is wrong and nothing more. It is very bad service in my opinion if you do order online don’t order sushi as you might be disappointed! Never again!

We had lunch here today rice and sweet chilli and sweet and sour chicken . We both feeling sick! Chicken wasn’t fresh and was crazy chewy as well . never again

It was supposed to be a vegetarian food but all tasted like fish. Tofu and veg noodles, even spring rolls had that weird fishy flavour. It was also too spicy, which would be fine if not for the horrible fishy taste🤢and in general food wasn't cooked well, whoever cooked it, had no idea what they were doing. Heartless/passionless food which tasted like a fishy vomit.

Never failed to serve a delicious food.. dine in and take away service can be described superb. Neptune shows excellent customer service. Service is fast and efficient. Only thing is I hope they refurb the branch to be more cozy I think it will be a game changer .

Incomplete Oder delivered. Tried to rectify with the Restaraunt over the phone and kept promising replacement orders , they never arrived. Phone calls not always answers and even had a lady trying to convince me she didn’t speak English and that I was calling the wrong number ! Very real and honest reasons to stay away !!!

Myself and my partner ordered kokoro Deliveroo this evening and Deliveroo couldn’t provide a driver for an hour and a half. Even though this was due to no fault of kokoro’s they still remade our food and provided us with a complimentary tub of food for the wait. Thank you!

Food was excellent, I ordered the chicken katsu and pumpkin katsu and both were amazing. I also bought some sushi which was equally nice, the yasai party set especially. Staff are friendly and offered more soy sauce for the sushi. Shop is very clean even though busy. They heated up my noodles because noodles were fresh, so obviously cold and the microwave heated them nicely. Very lovely experience and I'll definetly be back.

First time visit to Crawley and in search for different cuisine. Found Kokoro in the centre. Few customers dining in already. In the hot counter we can see some lovely choices of food. We weren't sure what to choose so ordered, kimich rice with sweet chilli chicken, noodles with spicy pork and steamed rice with spicy tofu. All three dishes were very tasty and piping hot. Generous portions and worth the money, we couldn't eat it all and brought half of each dish back home for tea. Staff service was great and polite. Worth recommending!

Actually shocked by being told off by the "manager" or so she says. i picked up a few too many chopsticks, like everyone does when visiting somewhere that offers them, even after trying to make light of the situation and offering to pay for them i was told to and i qoute "SHUT UP!" in an abrupt shouting manner. Baring in mind i still bought the food and even after waiting for other customers to leave i asked politely for the "managers" name to which she would not tell me, even told me not to leave a review and to not come back. I honestly don't understand why the "manager" was so rude or upset by me taking 8 pairs of chopsticks that probably cost them £10 for 1000. Absolutely HILARIOUS! but i did have to apologise multiple times to the young lady that was serving me!

Noodles wasn’t tasteful, surprised to see them heating our dish with microwave, whereas other Kokoro stores don’t use microwave. They didn’t have rice available and I picked two flavours of chicken without noodles, was told that they will only fill up a quarter less because I did not pick noodles.

This is the first time I tried this place, I have to say I'm not impressed. The sushi is half the standard size, the sushi rice is not flavoured properly. As much as I don't like yo sushi or wasabi, Kokoro is worse. There's plenty of wasabi which is nice. The pickled ginger doesn't have any flavour either. I won't go back for sushi there again

My family was treated abiminably by the propriotor herself in Crawley yesterday. Her half hearted apologies only made it all the worse. Avoid the place if you wish to be treated with common human decency! This has put me off Kokoro for life!

Order through Deliveroo Ordered the Chicken Katsu Salad, the picture showed a nice salad. The food arrived and I thought where’s the salad ? Lifted the chicken and there was a couple of lettuce leaves that have seen better days. Chicken not great. We have ordered Koroko before but never the salad. Disappointed to say the least.

A day after reopening (for take away only) I walked in craving sushi. Understandably the restaurant has limited menu at the moment which only includes sushi with fish. I asked the lady beind the counter if they had anything vegetarian. Although they didn't have anything already made (in the fridge),she kindly offered to make some avocado rolls for me to go. Only took about 5 mins and they were ready! So so impressed! They tasted lovely by the way! Can not thank her enough, made my day! :)

I was a Kokoro restaurant for lunch with a coworker. Fast food with so many varieties to choose from. It is located in the middle of city centre over look the center. Clean and perfect environment. I ordered steam white rice with teriyaki chicken. Very reasonable price and friendly. I will stop by again. I even requested for extra rice and it was free. Excellent customer service.

I ate here for the first time and was more than happy with the food I had. Only sweet and sour chicken/rice tub. Unfortunately i could eat it all it was too much for me, 2 people could easily share a tub. The food was piping hot and delicious

Food was great! The portion is big and good enough. The miso soup waa delicious, and i am sure they made it from scratch. The service was great. Overall, i would definitely repeat eating overthere

Visited today for lunch / poor selection of sushi and the sushi that was available, it was average and overpriced!

This place is incredible, the variety of Sushi and hot food is great. The sweet chilli chicken and sweet and sour chicken is second to none. Great value and great opening hours to boot.

I been to Kokoro crawley today and ordered salmon teriyaki with steam rice ! You serving uncook rice to customers.The rice wasn't cook still hard and crunch! I asking the lady to change a new rice to me and she gave me new a rice but after 2mins I sat and watching her How she gonna do with that rice in the cooker ! She still sell uncook rice to other customer!! What are you thinking ! Didn't care about customer!

I will never buy from this place again for sacking a young lady for being off sick with vomiting! The girl in question woke up with fever and vomiting and was supposed to be at work the next day. Being a health professional myself and guardian for the girl on the day, I rang the manager to explain the circumstances. The manager replied that the girl has 1 and half day to be off Sick and that she does not understand why she couldn't report to work on a late shift the next day? I told the manager that she is showing signs of Gastro-enteritis and is not meant to be at work for food safety reasons and for her own health! She still sounded clueless by repeating that the girl has a day and a half before she is due back to work, adding that if she does not turn up for work when she is due back she will be sacked! I told the manager should this girl return to work before 48 hours of her last episode of vomitting, she would be putting the health of the public at risk, she replied " I don't depend on them" before hanging up the phone on me! PS , the girl asked me to ring on her behalf because she said her manager was not approachable which I can now attest to myself!! But being unapproachable is one thing, using a staff who is vomiting to work at a food outlet is quite another! Makes you wonder if it is the leftover food she brought home from work that caused the vomiting in the first place!! Some managers are just not fit for purpose!!

For fast food with good flavour this hits the spot. The food is good value and the restaurant is clean and tidy. Personally I think the lay out is a bit clinical for my liking but this is just knit picking

Awesome food, just a bit crowded. Nice location, Salmon teriyaki is my favorite, I will come again next time I visit Crawley

Visited Kokoro, crawley branch at lunchtime. Moderately busy.

Went there once before, was ok, portion size fairly big. Went back for a second time a month later. Was a Sunday,around 2pm. The place was a little quiet as expected. Ordered teriyaki chicken and rice, sweet chilli chicken and rice. Both were served straight from heated display. Then we ordered two separate portions of vegetable yakisoba. A new batch was brought out and two portions were dished out and put into the microwave straight away. Waited for the noodles to be heated up whilst the other members of the family ate theirs. After collecting our yakisoba, we dived into them and only found them both stone cold! Brought it back and told them that they were stone cold. There’s no apologies, the person just put them back in the microwave to reheat again. I was just standing there waiting. Surely she could offer to bring them over to our table when they are ready!!

Very impressed with the portions and the price. The sweet and chilli chicken was tasty and well balanced. The noodles though were cold - only disappointment.

Love Japanese food and this the first Japanese restaurant in Crawley. Its a casual place but the quality of the food is amazing. You can see the cooks freshly preparing the food in the kitchen at the back and this isn't teenagers warming up pre-packed meals. Its great and I hope it is popular enough to stick around in Crawley

If you're looking for a quick chinese or japanese lunch, then this place is quick, affordable and tasty! I had the spicy pork with noodles which was a good choice! They also do sushi.

After shocking service at chopstix in the mall we decided to try koroko, so glad we did. Amazing food, plenty of it, always hot & fresh. The staff are very friendly & helpful. My favourite is chilli chicken & my daughter's always have chicken katsu curry which they say is better than wagamammas!!

Dropped in whilst in town. Very pleased we did. We selected 3 different sushi boxes, well priced, quality ingredients and very tasty. Great fresh decor, clean. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is located in Queens Square next to Costa in the town centre. It is away from the High street where most of the restaurants clubs and pubs are. I tried one meal and it was OK, not really my ' cup of tea '. The crispy prawns are quite nice though. It is a mixture of Korean and Japanese food. Because of its location it quietens down after 6pm when the shops close, there are few people around. They open till 7pmish.

Had a lovely lunch here with my husband and baby. The staff were lovely and made a fuss of the baby which was sweet. We also got to try a bit of rice which was a change! Can't wait to go back!

We popped here for a quick lunch while shopping. Is nice to see something different in Crawley. I had soup which was amazing. Shame I had to wait 15 mins for it though. My baby was crying by the time it came out so I had to leave half of it. Saying that, it was fresh and there was loads of chicken. I've had sushi from here before and was disappointed but I'll definitely go back after this experience.

This restaurant serves good food. The food is reasonably priced. The ambience is simple - no bells and whistles

Crawley isn't a food destination for us, but whilst on an essential shopping trip, we fell over Koroko which is some of the best Japanese and Far Eastern food we have had "on a high street". The sushi is super fresh and the portions generous. There is also a large selection of Far Eastern hot dishes all served with rice or noodles and the portions are HUGE! With the option on eat in or takeaway, its a really welcome addition to the area. Its delicious and extremely good value for money......a must!!
