Excellent food and staff great as always

My wife, son and I dined here last night. It's the first time we've been to this restaurant and we will definitely return. Service was polite and fast, with the waiter making some light humoured jokes with our teenaged son who was quietly amused. The food and drinks were served in good time and with a smile. We wasn't rushed and enjoyed taking our time in each others company. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

As always the food was deliciously beautiful and the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. Love Kohi Noor., handy to where we live so we can get a takeaway when we want.

My first visit here. Came for my partner's birthday. I'm garlic intolerant so that made my dishes garlic free. Nothing was too much trouble. I'll definitely come back

As always excellent quality food, well priced and very well cooked, I had Garlic Chilli Chicken Biriani, it was lovely. Special request, no tomatoes!!! Was fantastic!! Other meals we had were also well enjoyed.

Bon, ne pas se laisser décourager par la façade et l'entrée... Il y a une salle tout à fait correcte, très propre et moderne (mais aussi froide et sans l'ambiance habituelle des restos indiens). Bref. Le soir où nous y étions, un grand (8-10) groupe (100% masculin) de gens du coin, qui connaissaient manifestement et venaient pour se retrouver... bon signe. De notre côté, nous avons très bien mangé, et les prix sont vraiment corrects. Service remarquable par sa gentillesse, son écoute, sa communication.

Best Indian restaurant on the Island.

Visited the restaurant yesterday. Thefood was nice, but service from the staff named attiq was miserable. Me n my husband went there after a long , enjoyable, and tiring journey from London to sheerness Beach. We were so hungry and trying to find some good desi restaurant. (Being Asians we love food ).As we entered the restaurant, Mr.attiq greeted us with a very strange gaze, we asked if the restaurant halal, and his reply was extremely rude that yeah, it is (like u duffer yes). We entered and sit there and ask little help from the menu, my Husband asked how big is the portion of that balti karahi, he simply turn n pointed to the next table where almost 6 ladies were having full table. We both felt HELL AWKWARD and embarrassed as we needed to look at someone's table. Felt so ashamed, for a minute we both discussed the number of naans, Mr. Attiq just left without saying that either he'll be back until we are ready to order. Or just simply say that take your time like this. One more thing he was serving the table next to us, which was occupied by 6 white ladies, and he was extremely cheerful and had a welcoming attitude with them. On that specific time, me n my husband felt very left out, or I must say Mr. Attiq 's different attitude with different colour customers (he himself was not white), but we can clearly feel and see his switching of serving styles. We needed WiFi while we were waiting for our food (both of us were out of service inside the restaurant), luckily Mr.attiq was not around so we asked another guy there, he simply and with smiling face replied us that just give me a minute and I'll ask my colleague. Unfortunately, that smiling guy asked Mr.attiq and Mr. Attiq again looked at us from the billing desk and said No. That's fine, we understand, as that smiling face guy said Sorry it's only for staff." STRANGE reply, but we understand as this could be the restaurant's policy.(Being a member of food retail myself, we encourage customers to use our wifi so they can sit more and order more eventually).The restaurant was not packed as well. Food arrived, and we ate the wonderful food with a heavy heart. The food was good, but the service ruined that moment of delight. Being from the Desi community(Brown), we love food, but that moment of JOY was wasted by Mr.attiq. We want to visit again if there are no such cold and differentiated services as per appearance and skin colour. The restaurant owner really needs to look at the behaviour of Mr.attiq, as he is not setting a good example to his peers as he looks senior from other staff. Please treat customers as you like to be treated. May God bless you

One of the best Indian on The Island

Absolutely lovely food and the staff were very discreet but attentive, our waiter ALI was such a polite knowledgeable waiter who actually helped me choose a chef's special, instead of me ordering my usual jalfrazie, the whole experience was just lovely, we will definitely go back , Thank you all 😋😋😋

Fantastic food and service, in a very friendly restaurant

After a long hard week at work couldn’t be bothered to cook so a much needed and well deserved treat was called for and a curry fix just fits the bill. We never have a bad meal here in fact it’s always excellent but tonight it was nigh on perfect! Extraordinary flavours, stunningly well seasoned and bang on the money. 5 star plus if I could. Excellent!

Having cut back on spending as money being a bit tight we met with friends for a much needed curry fix. As ever with here we had a delicious meal, excellent food and excellent service 👍

To celebrate my husbands birthday. We had a lovely evening, the food is exceptional, I had Chicken Malaya and my husband had Tandoori Chicken, both were beautifully cooked and presented. The staff as ever were amazing, friendly, welcoming, helpful, everything you could ask from staff.

Had a meal last night at Kohi Noor to celebrate his birthday. As ever the food was delicious, well cooked and well presented. The staff are some of the kindest and friendliest I have ever known.

I just love to go away and find gems hidden in the country. Come here and enjoy a surreal experience. I personally felt like in the movie Grand Budapest Hotel.

Really disappointed with our meal. First the naan bread was practically cold when we got the food home and as we collected there is no excuse. We asked for all the dips with our poppodoms but received only 2 and they came with nothing resembling a salad just big chucks of raw white onion. The sides were average but the Bombay potatoes looked like a few bits of boiled potatoes mixed in with sauce. My Chicken Exotica was full on uncooked pieces of tomato and topped with raw red onion and the Lamb Habibi looked and tasted like a basic curry with boiled potato. The mushroom rice was average. It's a shame really as normally the food has been great but I feel this meal did not resemble the quality we have had from here before. We have had these dishes before so have compared on a like to like comparison.

PUKKA!!! I only have the chicken tikka bhuna, chapati and onion salad. If I’d had that as my death row meal then they could electrocute me with pleasure 😋

We had a wonderful meal here with family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff are so friendly and always smiling. Once again we were not disappointed with the food. It was plentiful, served beautifully and delicious. I cannot recommend Kohi Noor highly enough.

A Group of 18 of us went for a meal here and not one of us could fault it. The service was flawless, friendly and very quick. All meals were served at the same time so one was left waiting. The food was amazing and extremely flavoursome. Not badly priced either. Extremely clean and welcoming.

Not wanting to cook on the Eve of the BIG Day! What better than an Indian 👍 rang threw my order and told will be 25 minutes! That all I thought on Christmas Eve? I arrived at the restaurant, greeted by the owner and given a pint of beer whilst I waited, sure enough my meal came within the time given, the restaurant was fairly busy and there were lots of takeaways being collected, lots of staff working so great to see they knew that they were needed to keep waiting times to a minimum. Top notch meal as ever here and well run business. Excellent

Went for a buffet ,what a great place to eat , food was lovely ,service was great ,they even do a doggy bag because the buffet is so large. Well, worth a visit !

Had another great meal here last night excellent service, friendly and food as ever spot on, well seasoned flavoursome and great portions. The tarka dhal here is excellent full of garlic, buttery and great use of salt. No wonder this place is busy. Excellent.

Been a couple of weeks without my Indian fix and was very much looking forward to my takeaway tonight, safe to say I had a stunning meal from yet again, full of flavour and excellently seasoned, the chicken tikka in my madras was delicious, my Peshwari Naan bread was soft, sweet and buttery. Stunning yet again 👍

Awesome meal from here last night, Duck tikka Phall,chicken tikka curry, mushroom rice, special rice, tarka dhal, mushroom bharji , egg paratha, poppadoms. The best Phall I’ve had in many years, V Hot but very well spiced as not just ferocious heat but well balanced. Excellent 👍

Yet another excellent meal here tonight, very busy which is great to see. If I had to find anything negative to say it would be that since the refurbishment which has been done to a good standard, is that there could be some pictures on the walls and some soft Indian music, as the restaurant feels very open and plain and not as cosy as once was. Apart from that, Excellent.
