Order from here as we thought we would try somewhere different, the order arrived quickly but items were missing. I rang to request the missing items and the man just kept saying he would send them with our next order, he would not send missing items and his attitude was disgusting. Awful customer service. We then ate what had arrived and unfortunately the chicken was chewing and the garlic naan tasted of fish it was awful. Avoid this take away there are far better ones in South Shields.

Delivery on time. Chicken buna was lovely a bit salty but was very tasty. They did only send out a small pilau rice when i paid for 1.80 so rang up and they sent out a large one free so made up for it but still if i wanted to eat it straight away i wouldve had to wait for the extra rice. Still would order again but write on notes large rice.

Found a few bits of pink chicken in the curry. My 4 year old, my hubby and myself had already eaten some (I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant) rang the restaurant who were apologetic. Said they cudnt refund anything as no one is dealing with cash right now. Asked if I cud ring back at 9pm to sort out. I said I’d ring tomorrow. Abit later got a call from the guy I spoke to who had spoken to the boss. No way we cud get a refund. U can only refund in another curry. We had finished the meal by this time after taking all the chicken out which was a shame as it was hot and tasty when it got here. I explained that we don’t eat curry a lot and probably wudnt order again as had a bad experience with undercooked chicken. The guy wanted to see the undercooked chicken and was gonna send a a driver to collect. I simply explained that I wudnt order again from there again and I wasn’t expecting a full refund just a partial. A shame that the boss didn’t no how to handle a simple mistake made.

Decided to have a meal delivered from here after ages! Ordered and delivered within 40mins and it was DELICIOUS! Reminded me of being a kid (I'm 37 so shows you how long this place has been operating) and it tasted just as I remember. Tastes like an old skool Indian meal. Was wonderful to reminisce in the flavours and the meat was beautifully prepared, spice levels perfect, fresh and hot. Couldn't fault any of it. If you're craving a good meal then you really can't go wrong.

I ordered just after 8pm and my estimated delivery was 9:35pm, the food arrived at 10:15pm. I rang up about 10pm to see approximately how long it was going to be and the man who I spoke to was lovely and apologetic. I understand in these times that restaurants are super busy, so the good service over the phone was appreciated. This is the first time i've ordered from here and it was absolutely delish! The food arrived hot, I got 25% off with being an NHS worker and it was really tasty, so i'll definitely be ordering again, so thank you!

I appreciate the current situation with Covid-19 and limited staff. But a quick update text to say delivery is delayed would have been appreciated. Can't fault the food. Still piping hot and very tasty. Will be ordering from here again.

I ordered at 6.45pm I asked for asap delivery they said would be an hour, I was happy it came early 30mins later he was at my door. Tastiest curry I have had in a long time, I ordered bhuna prawn on puree starter, massive prawns got lots and sauce was lovely. Chicken tikka masala beautiful, all piping hot, couldn't fault anything. First order from here, i am very fussy about my curry and will definitely be using the Kismet again

Ordered the food at 6.30pm first arrival time 7.55 second arrival time given at 8.45. Ordered cancelled but it finally arrived at 9.45. JUST DONT ORDER IT

Ordered at 7:15pm-ish, said delivery time would be 8:35pm, got to 8:50pm so I rang restaurant, no apology, got told it would be 20mins. Got to 9:30pm so I rang again, said they knew it was late, didn’t seem bothered, said it would be 5-10mins, got to 10:00pm, no delivery still! I rang again, and said if it wasn’t here within 10 mins I would be cancelling my order, magically turned up at 10:10pm.... I understand it may be busy but just let customers know and adjust the delivery times on the just eat website if that’s the case!

Didnt even deliver my food phoned them up and they let me sit on the phone for 13 mins and then hung up on me woudnt waste ya time and money on this place

I use this place a lot never had a problem until today chicken tikka masala was missing from my order I rang the shop and he said he send one out by the time it got here food was cold I’m not impressed with this at all they should re send that . Order back out . Cost 20 quid and was no good

First time I’ve used just eat for the Kismet and can honesty say wow. Thanks it was delivered much earlier than stated and food was really lovely. Thanks guys keep up the good work. Will definitely use again 👍

Absolutely terrible it's now 10:30 and still no meal been told 5 miniutues 3 times it's now been 3 hours

After waiting two hrs and ringing after an hr and a half we were told it would be another half an hour, an hour later still no sign, rang back and was told 5 minutes. 3 and a half hours later still no sign so rang back to cancel. This was at 10.40pm. Very disappointed, no contact from restaurant to explain lateness and it was also for a family meal for tea so children ended up eating extremely late.

Ordered at half 6, was told 7:45, then after ringing numerous times being told our food was on its way, got told at 10:30 that we wouldn’t even be getting our food. Absolutely shocking and not ordering again considering being offered a free meal. Absolute joke.

Rice was just a greasy mess inedable, no keema in keema naan, chips were burnt and looked like they were from yesterday. Curry was OK only thing barely edible. Will not recomend or return

I don’t give bad reviews if I can help it but tonight I have to Bhuba mixed meat curry was nice but carton two thirds full and very little meat, I order from here regularly and this is by far the worst portion ever If it’s because ingredients are hard to come by, then portions should not be effected unless price is reduced I will have to think twice about ordering again as want something to satisfy my hunger not to fill a hole in my back tooth, disappointed

I mentioned clearly that I need my food( Biryani and curry wrap) spicy. The food tasted sweet, the only spice I tasted was Turmeric powder. I had high expectations from kismet but......

Food was cold even though it was delivered ten mins early and the curry was open and had half spilled into the bag, covering everything else. So ended up with half a curry and a big bag of mess. Disgusting service

Order placed in advance for delivery 6.10pm. Order them changed and confirmed to 6.35pm - rang at 6.50pm to be told another 20 mins or so. Advised to cancel the order and we would go elsewhere. Promised it would come straight out. 20 mins later still waiting so rang and said I wanted to cancel and he said it’s 1 minute away. 10 minutes and it eventually has turned up. Lovely food but absolutely service.

Ordered a mega bag on a Saturday night and thought the food was delicious, the food was 20 minutes for collection which was fast. Portion sizes were very good lots of chicken in my Rogan Josh, they also have deals and the price is reasonably. Overall good quality takeaway.

Thought I'd treat myself to a birthday curry. Wish I hadn't bothered. So disappointed. Wasted my money! Soggy onion bhaji. Bland and tasteless chicken tikka starter. Chips were dry. Nan bread was passable at a push. Delivery driver was late. Abrupt and DEMANDED payment for an extra item instead of answering when I asked, twice, how much I owed. Won't be returning to this place. Ruined my birthday night. Not impressed at all!

Ordered meal deal. 30 minutes late I'm very aware restraunts can be busy.. nan bread rock solid could use it as a frisbee! Tikka starter dry as the lid was melted where it had been sitting.. rice lid exactly the same and rice was hard and clumpy .. decent thing about it was the salad and mint sauce!

The delivery of the food was the issue, when we opened the bag the food had come out of all of the cartons all over the bag and mixed together totally spoiling the meal, there was curry all over the place! it was delivered by motorbike so probably the cause which is a real shame. We phoned the Kismet to let them know, totally disappointed with the meal on this occasion probably won’t re order.

When going onto the app delivery time stated 45 minutes. After order placed this was changed to 1 hour 10 - I then rang up and asked how long it would be, 10 mins max - rang up after 20 mins - ah he’s about to ‘leave’ - funny that he was when I asked to cancel the order after 1 hour 40 later... ordered the meal deal this time and the food quality was not the same as it usually is when we order the curries on their own, granted it’s cheaper but surely should be the same standard?

Ordered at 6:20pm food arrived at 8:15. The king prawn madras, the king prawns were so over cooked they were shrivelled up rubbery things with no taste. Spicy chips were a huge let down as these are usually very good.. They didn’t taste fresh. Most of what I ordered went in the bin.. very disappointing

Amazing food and great value for money

This is the second time I've placed an order,received an email and an order number and yet my order hasn't arrived. Each time I try calling to sort it out but the phone is engaged. I've had meals from here before and the food is good, but I am very disappointed and will not be placing an order a third time.

Ordered food at 930 didn't get here till 1140 was charged 12 pound odd. I didn't think the food was coming so late because Every time I rang there was no answer. I reported that none of the items had arrived at 1137 just before they knocked. The guy apologised and said he would take 2 pound off. I told him I was in bed now and I had already reported it not delivered. He then apologised again and took the food with him. The just eat app said I would get money off my next order. I'm down over 12 pound and no food. I'm not using the app again I want a refund but all I can talk to is a computer program.

l will never order food from this takeaway again as it was ordered at 7.28 and it was delivered at 9.50 it was supposed to be delivered by 8.40 so it was 1 hour and 10 minutes late food was delivered only warm terrible service avoid

The order arrived late, the nanbab is small and rather bland the toppings sparse compared to past ones I have had, the keema Nan's have very little keema mince in them, if they have changed there chef they want to bring the old one back because the new one isn't that good at portio n size and taste
