A pleasant cheery spot for a coffee and catch up with friends. However the price of a takeaway sandwich at £6.50 was rather an unpleasant surprise! Average bread with a bit of tuna and salad. Poor quality and value.

We went on the website and it wasnt very specific on whether they were doing pottery painting or not. So me and my family showed up after a half an hour drive, little did we know they weren't doing it anymore. I just wish they were more specific on the website:(, what a waste of fuel. But over all the food was amazing.

We didn’t visit today to eat something. I was on a mission to make a bauble with my new baby’s footprints on for Christmas. However, as soon as you walk in the staff are friendly and welcoming. All of the customers seemed happy chatting away. The staff were so helpful and great with my baby when we were taking the prints too. The man in charge of the pottery was lovely and helpful. I would definitely visit again to get a coffee and some lunch. Thank you all. What a great little place!

Pre arranged to meet some friends for afternoon tea, at Kingsley Coffee and Crafts We were given a afternoon tea menu in advance for any fussy sandwich eaters (namely me!!) Everything was baked fresh this morning! It was all so fresh & tasty, the sones were unbelievable! It came with unlimited tea! ... there was ample there but also eating through it didn’t feel like a mission! I had told my husband I would bring him a doggy bag! Fat chance 😊🐷 The afternoon tea is £14.95 - eat out scheme has been great for them & us, but we still need to support the local businesses now it’s coming to an end 👏👏 The cafe is in ferring, there’s parking & ample room, they have a pottery cafe & have utilised the space upstairs for more tables to ensure Social distancing, if you don’t want to paint in they also have a great home service Kingsley Creations — at Kingsley Coffee and Crafts

Perfectly placed on the cycle route along the coast, I was cycling along there on a cold day and it looked so inviting. Very glad I popped in – excellent coffee and a lovely piece of cake. Just enough of a boost to make the rest of the ride even more pleasurable despite the cold and greyness of the late afternoon. So – if you are out for a ride, do drop in and have a chat with Adam – he’s a cyclist too and you can waste an enjoyable few minutes talking about bikes. Cakes, coffee, bikes, chat. What could be better?

I visit here frequently for a breakfast or just coffee and have always found it a very pleasant experience. Good choice of freshly prepared food and friendly staff. Their cakes are divine too! Along with a small gift shop this place is a real gem and always packedToday I was slightly saddened to see sitting at the next table a couple with a dog on their lap. Whilst I don’t object to dogs big or small I found it wrong to see this dog licking the tablecloth and virtually eating off the plate If dogs are allowed in there ( which they are) surely it should have been pointed out that dogs remain on the floor under the table as was another well behaved pooch. I shall be returning however as hopefully this was just a one off!!

We came for the first time to this cafe with 2 granddaughters aged 6 and 10. We had heard that there was craft painting here. There was a huge variety of pottery to paint and lots of wonderful paints. The children really enjoyed their time painting and were engrossed for 2 hours. The staff were wonderful and very helpful with excellent advice on how to paint their chosen objects. There is also a good supply of coffee, cakes and other goodies. The cafe was full - mostly older people just having coffee and a chat, but 4 tables were full of children their parents and carers. So do go here if you want some good and creative entertainment for your children or just want a coffee and food inn a relaxed atmosphere.

Well where do you go when your granddaughter visits and having spent an eternity in the children’s playground nearby, freezing to death in the process, she decides it is time for an energy boost? This cafe seems quite lively at the weekend and offers drinks, snacks and light lunches that seem to a good standard. We had teas, coffees and bacon sandwiches - a generous portion of thick bacon in each sandwich. The cafe has an array of arts and crafts items on display - very tempting for children of most ages. Our granddaughter decided to do pottery painting and chose a plain clay muffin shaped pot with a separate lid. There is a choice of around 30 paint colours to choose from and a wide array of paintbrushes. Needless to say, her enthusiasm waned along the way so parents and grandparents all joined in to provide a degree of quality control! Since all the pots are fired in the kiln once a week, you will need someone to come back and pick up the completed item although, I believe, it can be posted to you at extra cost. On Saturdays, you can do painting until 4:30 pm, not sure about the times on other days. Where else can you while away 3 hours on a cold and wet day and still feel you have achieved something? It will be interesting to see how the pot looks once it has been fired - probably not a work of art but maybe a cherished memento of a rare visit to see her grandparents.

Our granddaughter was visiting so we had a trip to the playground opposite and then popped into Kingsley Coffee Shop to warm up and have a bite to eat. It’s situated on the corner and there is allocated parking outside, or alternatively find somewhere to park locally. There are plenty of tables inside and gifts displayed around the walls. Order food and drink at the counter and it will be brought to the table. All four of us chose a bacon sandwich and I can tell you it went down a treat with plenty of bacon inside. Delicious. Our granddaughter then did a bit of pottery painting...well she started and the grownups finished. In fact my husband and I are considering doing some for ourselves one day as we found it very relaxing. There is a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere and well behaved dogs are welcome.

I visited this tea room the other week with my two daughters and was not impressed at all. I ordered some sandwiches and some drinks. Whilst waiting for our food I could hear what I presumed to be the lady owner being extremely rude and nasty to one of her staff which wasn't very nice to hear. I found this very upsetting to hear as the staff member being reprimanded looked really upset. When my food finally arrived I found it very average and nothing special at all with very poorly made sandwiches and very basic poor ingredients and poor presentation. I certainly would not recommend this tea room and certainly will not be going back. I hope the staff member who worked there has the sense to go somewhere where they will get more respect from their employer.

Did not enjoy our visit to Kingsley, the young staff were very polite and friendly, but the more mature member of staff could learn a lot from her team, as she was quite standoffish and not very polite. There is a bench and sometimes one table with no umbrella and it doesn't look very inviting when your passing. I have rarely seen anyone sit outside and I think it is because of the uninviting seating area. There have been a few times when friends have wanted to sit outside so we have gone to another cafe. A cute place to enjoy a coffee/cake/light lunch, in a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Service helpful and the product fresh and well-presented. The on-site pottery painting adds some charm and character, without impinging on the other customers. The prices, however, are a little inconsistent. Coffee/tea/cakes are prices as expected, but sandwiches seem to be disproportionately expensive (nearly £5) when compared to more substantial meals (jacket potatoes, quiche etc), which are a similar price.Would highly recommend poached eggs on toast/muffin and the other breakfast options, which the staff are happy to serve all day if you ask and good value and taste very fresh.

I wanted a quick lunchtime snack so visited here earlier this week - never again! The queue just didn't seem to be going down at all as each client seemed to cause the young, unsmiling lady behind the counter a problem of some sort. Then she got to the exceedingly grumpy looking and even more grumpy sounding gent in front of me who questioned her about various items on the menu in a way which would have been more appropriate from an enemy officer in a prison camp! No wonder the poor girl had a face like a fiddle!I studied the menu on arrival finally in front of the young lady and asked for a large panini with chicken and bacon - oh woe, unwittingly I too had caused a problem, so once again she had to ask advice from her colleague behind the food preparation counter alongside, if to place an order for bacon was OK. The answer came back along the lines of yes, fine, I'll have enough! So, I took my drink and my order number and waited..........................Twenty minutes later, a plate with three fairly hefty slices of grilled panini arrived, with a paltry salad garnish and seven tortilla chips! The panini contained grilled bacon and chicken sure enough, but no mayo, or butter or anything else to make it interesting or anything other than very very dry and boring. I had been listening to two old dears gossiping at the table alongside me - they too had moaned about the service and selection of available food. The menu is very limited I have to agree - although if done well, that's more than acceptable. Regrettably, the food on this occasion was neither well executed nor served.

There's also a gift section (some lovely things for your home), a florists in at the back and a place where children can make and paint ceramic items such as plates, mugs or their initials. You can linger here and not feel rushed. It's a busy little place but still manages to remain calm. I met a friend there recently and will definitely go again. It's a great asset to Ferring!

Jim used to run the cafe in Middleton-on-Sea which is sorely missed, so we decided to see how he was getting on at no.72. - Very well with Sarah still there, and a nice lady called Caroline who was on trial for the day. I hope she stays because she wasn't nervous at all d served the perfect large mug of tea. Our lunches were perfect too. I chatted with other customers who were really friendly. Thanks Jim - so good to see you again xx

Katie and I came here with a small family group for a spot of lunch in the sun. Great welcome, friendly staff and good food. Beer a bit expensive but there's a wide variety on offer. Overall a great afternoon and we'll return for sure.

Outstanding eatery for a good selection of beautifully crafted bagels with great service and even better coffee. A hidden gem in Arundel and perfect for brunch whilst out on the SDW.

My espresso was excellent, good balanced flavour with hints of chocolate on the after taste. Service was a bit slow but it was lunchtime on a Saturday.
