Kindswood Golf Club in Doncaster

Just finished a Monday to Friday stay in the lodges and absolutely loved it. Do no listen to anyone saying it was rubbish. Our lodge was tidy when we arrived and hot tub was clean and ready to ju.p straight in. We will definitely be back in the future

This will be the 3rd & last time we visit here as the cleanliness of our lodge was disgusting. After visiting reception and being told someone would be out to clean the pubic hair in the bathroom. No one showed.

Lovely lodge, I’d say it was clean but…. There was Bombay mix under the table, a lot of it. Also there was opened packets of sweets under the sofas. I’m assuming the cleaning only happens around the furniture. 4 of us stayed and we only had 2 towels (more where given to us after I brought it to there attention) we also only had 1 and a half toilet rolls, which isn’t really enough for 4 people over 3 nights. There also isn’t a hoover so if you made a mess you couldn’t clean it up. No Wi-Fi, which wasn’t a huge problem because we was just chilling out but it’s 2022 and I guess just something that has become essential. Overall we still enjoyed our stay. We would stay again and would still recommend people to stay but I would probably try other places in the area first.

Shocking £6 per person for that very run down the little river that goes around the golf is full of algae the golf holes aren’t in the ground so the ball don’t go in the raft is broken and overall the place looks very run down I think it’s time to shut it down or improve on the adventure golf definitely won’t be returning

Been to kings wood golf club tonight table booked for 8 of us at 6.30 when we got there table only set for 7. Some foods were not available, majority of food was cold ,very slow service and when we paid the bill we found out we had been charged for 9 meals instead of 8 , wouldn’t go again, I know it was eat out to help out but it was disgusting ,

Took mum and her two sisters for lunch and it was delightful. Really nice food, excellent service in lovely surroundings. Would highly recommend.

Lodges are a really high standard, excellent place to relax. Hot tub was great .Restaurant on site great value money

Been several times to eat in the restaurant here. Wednesday night is steak night with special prices on selected dishes. The rib-eye was amazing - beautifully cooked to perfection. Good sized portions of chips, salad, onion rings and coleslaw. All food is good and prices competitive. Highly recommended.

Brand new lodges for this year, bookable through Hoseasons. Fantastic value considering the features and the quality. We had a group of 4 adults (2 couples) come down for an inexpensive long weekend away from it all. The lodge didn't disappoint, a nice view across the lake over the golf course - an recessed giant hot tub all setup and ready to go. There's a 40-50 minute drive to York for our Saturday day out and a really hearty carvery lunch for Sunday. Like everywhere else in the region, food was exceptionally cheap and here the quality was spot on. The owners, Jane and Chris(?) couldn't do enough for us and seem to work all the hours of every day. Our only disappointment was the weather but what should you expect in South Yorkshire in mid-October. Will definitely visit again.

Took my elderly father in law and his friend to have lunch. Part of the restaurant was closed for a wake and space was limited but this did not restrict us. There was a lunch time special of starter and main course for £6.95. The portions were not large but we're good value for money. Will go again and hope no wake next time.

This place never fails to deliver. The starters and desserts are varied and tasty but the highlight is always the carvery - from the locally sourced meats that are consistently cooked to perfection to the super tasty (go back for more) gravy (so often the weak point of otherwise good roast dinners). A wide selection of veg is refreshed as needed so it is always hot, firm and fresh tasting - no stewed greens or dried out carrots here. Experienced and friendly staff keep things moving along and there is a small but well stocked bar. I normally avoid carveries at all cost after so many too dry - too mushy - too cold - too bland experiences. However I always look forward to lunch at Kingswood and have never been disappointed - a really impressive standard of consistency. I strongly recommend that you try it - you'll be pleased you did

The service is not up to my required standard as I've already waited 1/2 hr for a lunchtime. Not good enough I'm afraid

My last visit here was approximately a year ago and today I was shocked to see how much the bar area had changed. The tables hadn't been wiped, the salt and pepper pots had food splashed on them, the bar had boxes and other things piled up on it, and the menu was old and tattered. We ordered a small breakfast. The hash browns tasted of cheap cooking fat, the beans were watered down and had little taste at all, the toast was seeded bread (we weren't offered a choice) and although I like seeded bread the other people with me don't. We asked for tomato sauce which was brought to the table in a silver jug and half way through eating breakfast it was whipped away without a word and given to another table. Not happy.

Excellent food, consistently good value. Lovely surroundings, atmosphere and friendly staff. We've had many excellent meals here. Never fails in quality or quantity.

Great place for tea and Sunday dinner. Lovely homecooked chips always! Good menu, very varied and all lovely! Fab deal on Wednesdays 2 steaks for £15 - really tasty steaks.

Often use Kingswood for lunches with friends. Lots of really good special offers. Chips are homemade and the best for miles around. Keep meaning to try the evening steak deal, it sounds awesome.

this is one of three golf courses within a 15 minute drive from home ( lucky me ) and is well worth a visit, unusually you can play either 9 or 18 holes and front or back 9 first. it has something for all abilities with plenty to test your skill level. there is plenty of parking and a well stocked golf and accessories shop. the restaurant is excellent and caters for everything from a light snack to a full steak-dinner and the menu is varied.

excellent food choice , along with some lovely specials and a great sunday carvery. recent refurb , lovely surroundings and a game of crazy golf for pudding :)

My family & I visited here for tea on the spur of the moment. We wasn't disappointed. The restaurant is large & well presented with highchairs available & attentive, friendly staff. Each day they do a different special & the Thursday night we went was 2 course for £8. The childrens meal inc a drink & pudding too so good value all round.Home cooked, fresh food at a good price. We both went for the pie & chips & desserts we had jam-roly poly & a fudge cake. We will return. Id like to try the steak night & hearsd the Sunday Carvery is a must do. Well done Kingswood!!

Well refurbished restaurant. Steak night is a bargain at 2 for £15 and the sirloin is divine. Not tried the ribeye but always go with chef Dominic's recommendation of sirloin!Vicky is amazing!!! Soo friendly and very good at her job, always smiling and gives us a giggle.Homemade chips are wonderful (everywhere should make their own!) Nice atmosphere too.Very local and often visit for tea.

Been golfing a few times here but just range or 9 hole. Got food with friends after first 18 (my score was crap), sliced pork and stuffing sandwich with chips and gravy. Absolutely beautiful. Beers kept well too. Top pint of Johns.

Went for Sunday lunch lovely home cooked food, luscious deserts and efficient friendly staff. Very reasonably priced we will certainly be returning.

Had a round of golf in golf cart dinner afterwoods been loads of times lovely food you don't after play golf to visit just go for lunch or dinner breakfast as well 1st class again thanks

Worth a visit. Good value for money on days where a starter/main or Main/desert are offered at a discount.

Quality food; excellent value for money, and the service is efficient as well as free parking too. If you are looking for a delicious meal, look no further. The Sunday carvery is excellent.

this carvery is both warm, looks fabulous and tastes amazing we have been 6 times and each time is better than the last . advice to travellers book at table always very busy

I paid £27 for three carvery and three drinks. We were seated and served our food within 15 minutes. The staff were friendly and chatty despite being very busy. The place was full which says a lot.Carvery was great - lots of choice, all very fresh. The meals on the board looked great value too. Predominently home cooked Eghlish meals like pie and chips, steaks etc Will be visiting again mainly because of the good value for fresh food!

Tonight I went out with my mum & dad to number 21! The food exceeded all expectations nothing was too much trouble! Quick & excellent service from the waitress Marie!We had for our meals the sesame chicken morsels, number 21 sliders & bajan fish bombs for starters for mains we had the lamb special & for pudding we had chocolate fudge cake, lemon cheesecake & ice cream all our meals were great cooked fresh to order and tasted amazing! Its like jamie oliver has been brought to conisborough! We will deffinatly returning to number 21 & would highly recommend this restraunt to anyone!!!

We have visited for sunday lunch several times,Excellent food,friendly staff,generous helpings,Our son is a member of this club but you don't have to be a member to go there.The only downside you need to have transport as it is out of the way

a very good menu we love sunday lunch,,when we first went we did not have to book but it is essential for sunday lunch, loads of veg chice 3 meats, no qeuing the waitresses bring you up to the carvery you can sit outside for a drink looking over the side of the golf course,ample car parking,little golf shop inside the dinning room, not a very big place but lovely ans clean.

What a fantastic day, the food was the best Carvery we have ever had , an amazing choice of. FRESH vegetables and the staff were Very Very friendly.A very enjoyable day will definitely return
