KFC in East Devon

this place is so bad i just came here with one of my friends to order some food we places are order on one of the machines and didn’t receive a receipt and a chance to look at are number as it gos by very quickly i went up to the till as we had been waiting for a while for are food and asked where it is they said they didn’t have it and i showed them that the transaction has been taken from account and then they said there was nothing they could do abt it and said it’s not are problem so there fire they took our monday didn’t give it back or give us ate food a horrible service don’t recommend

Awful - opening hours til 10 by 8.30 closed - staff in there - lights on by door locked ?????? Absolutely awful place - avoid at all costs

Went this KFC yesterday, inside the upstairs seating was very very disgusting, bins were completely full - tables were full of mess as well as the seats. I woke up this morning with a bad stomach after having this KFC. I don’t know how this place has a 5* hygiene rating - they must’ve just kept clean for the day or something. Do not recommend- go elsewhere.

When you order £21 worth of food and ask for a specific item but are told you'll get what you're given,because they buy it that way, buy have never been refused that request before, then its a 'NO!' from me... thank Ronald for the McDonalds chicken selects 😉 I won't be back...

Appalling attitude from staff member, Gary who couldn't get my app to link to the till. He told me that I couldn't have the offers listed on the app as a result. When challenged, he asked me what I wanted him to do about it. Customer service at it's absolute best. Order abandoned and he couldn't have cared less.

Absolute vile chicken was so hard enough to brake your teeth never again VILE.Never again will I go in this KFC again

Didn’t even order from kfc and still had a “manager” appear at my home in an attempt to threaten me and ban me, embarrassing, if this is company training it’s no wonder all the reviews read as poor service

Worst KFC ever. 25 minutes to get wraps. Staff making them preferred to stand talking and wondering around doing nothing

Fast food this is not, ordered online to collect only to wait 45 minutes to get our food to which we found they didn’t have some of the sides got all the wrong dips. Only then to find most of the food was cold We were not the only ones, some people were waiting just for single meals!!!!!!!!

Will certainly never go there again, you wait so long to be served, then another long wait for the food. Staff are very rude to all the customers. I'm surprised any deliveroo drivers go in as they are so rude to them! Place is dirty and they seem to close whenever they like. Give it a miss.

Waited two hours for a Delivery of kfc booked via Deliveroo. Still hadn’t arrive two hours later. In end we give up and Go down to the shop and order two children's boxes plus a colonels meal. Have to wait forty minutes stood in shop while all the various Deliveroo companies pushed our order down the rankings and got there’s before us. All other customers stood in shop complaining also. How are they pushed in front of customers in the shop. How is this fair? Forty minutes later 2 hours 40 in total if you include the waiting for Deliveroo come home with the meal. My son has the wrong icecream and the wrong box meal given a burger instead of chicken. Appalling service and appalling wait times. Go to Tesco and buy the knock off kfc instead and save yourself the epic.

Visited recently two of us staff did several trips from kitchen to counter without even looking at Us despite being the only ones there. After 6mins waiting to be acknowledged We walked out. Place did not seem to be the cleanest at all. I am suprised that a kentucky fried food place is so badley trained and cleaned.

We went to the KFC in exeter to get food but was closed due to under staffed and long queue in drive-thru and came to the conclusion that the shop had closed at 8:15pm instead of its normal 9pm which is 45 minutes early. This ruined it for us because they apparently close whenever they fancy!

I've ordered food today and stuff missing from my order. As it was delivery I could not check my bag if everything is there. Missing 2 portions of mash and additional chicken filets from my order. Tried calling them with no luck. My partner went there to complain and was told nothing can be done. Ordered with Uber Eats and if they do not have mash they should call me as they have my number. Instead they decided not to put any sides at all even tho I've paid for them. I will complain to Uber Eats as well... I'LL WONT BE COMING BACK.

We visited here while on holiday today and experienced a very rude staff member. The cashier was Maria and she was lovely but she was on shift with a rude young man. While she was serving us he spoke to her very rudely, rolling his eyes and mimicking her when she turned her back in front of all the customers. Then rudely spoke to my little sister and everyone that walked in the shop telling them to sanitise there hands no please or thank you just ordering and being rude. We understand protocol but it can be done politely. He was the one that packed our food but he did not have a name badge on so we didn’t catch his name only Maria’s from the receipt. We got our order and went to the car and noticed he forgot our gravy’s so my partner went back in to ask for them as we had paid for them. He looked asif he didn’t want to be there and didn’t have the time of day for customer service. We started to head back to our holiday site and got 5 minutes up the road and then notice we didn’t have our large popcorn chicken. Again we had paid for this so we turned around and my partner went inside to say that he’d also forgot our popcorn chicken to which he very very rudely replied ‘no you’re f*king lying I definitely packed it’ as you can imagine my partner was horrified to hear this from someone who works in customer service. My partner asked for the manager who came fourth and was very reasonable. My partner even said ‘check the cameras to see who’s lying, i wouldn’t lie over some popcorn chicken’ and Maria was very helpful and sorted this out for us and the manager apologised for the inconvenience. We won’t be returning to this branch due to the horrific attitude of this young man. It was not just us he was incredibly rude to but people who came in after us.

Member of staff made sarcastic comment before I had even entered the building. Its not our fault you have an unhappy life??

Went into KFC Exmouth, two girls on the counter. Served the previous orders. I was stood at the till. No acknowledgements tall for 5-10 minutes. The staff then decided to blank me a vanish in the back.

Think twice before eating here!! Had a delivery chips tasted like yesterday’s chicken tasteless Pepsi watery and can’t get them to answer the phone to complain so going to head office

visited for supper and was surprised it was still open seeing it was on sunday.staff friendly and helpful.food was hot and tasted as you would expect.

Food very cold. Forgotten most of my order. Never coming here again. People behind counter very ignorant took half hour just to get mash. Never again food is disgusting.

Good fast food outlet serving up coated fried chicken and chips and loads of other sides. Fairly respectable establishment and good value.

Who would have known 11 herbs and spices= heaven. The only downside to KFC is that its hard not to become addicted

The food here was amazingly good, best K|FC i've visited. Had a large popcorn chicken meal which was great, chips were good and there's something about the pepsi max it's so fresh. 2 hot wings which here very good with natural herbs and spices. Also had 2 pieces of original recipe chicken which were a 10/10 for me. The gravy could've been a bit thicker but that doesn't matter. A young man 19/20 ish served me and he's got the best service i've seen in a KFC

Disgusting manager attitude! Thinks it's acceptable to give 10 legs in a family feast. After spending £25 I expect to be spoken to with respect. 10 legs is not acceptable for that price! Poor attitude, rubbish service and no baby changing facilities. Don't go there !

Have one thing to say. Food was hot and crispy but didn’t taste like kfc chicken should. Where did you go wrong.

Visited for lunch during the famous chicken shortage! I understand the limitations on the menu however staff were very rude when I asked if an item they didn’t have could be substituted for something else. In 1 meal they forgot to put in a piece of chicken and the side and I had to ask for my drink. Always short staffed and appalled by the customer service. Won’t be going to Exmouth KFC anytime soon

The staff were helpful, but I was a little disappointed when they said No chicken gravy!

I like a take away occasionally and always go for a KFC if there is one about so on this particular night in Exmouth we decided to go for one.

Basic kfc stuff nothing to want one to run back for more . Clean but no atmosphere whilst waiting for your order

KFC restaurant in Exmouth is a great place to come for takeaway breaded coated chicken that is really well cooked and we will always come back to order. Legend place for food.

El servicio era excelente. Yo estaba en una cola, pero no por mucho tiempo. Mis hijas grand realmente disfrutamos de la comida y no puedo esperar para su próxima visita.

Tried the Louisiana dirty burger as it's new, found it overloaded with sauce and really not much like a KFC , nothing wrong with the place tho, tidy with nice staff , and it was well cooked, just a typical KFC, bit on the small size but it's a small town.

I visit this location usually around once a month to pick up lunch for me and my girlfriend, and we've never been disappointed in the service or the food. I used to think this was just normal for KFC but after having some deeply unsatisfactory visits to other locations I've realised the Exmouth branch is above the norm! Last Saturday I popped in as usual and received absolutely first class service from a young lad named Max. Bright smile and really enthusiastic, he helped me out when I had a bit of trouble with the KFC app, and while I was waiting for my food I saw him deal with several rude and grumpy customers- his professional and friendly demeanour never faltered. Now that diet season is here I probably won't be back for a little while, but when I finally crack and come back for a fried chicken fix I'm sure the team at Exmouth KFC will be just as helpful and smiley as ever.

Not helpful when the staff have that "dont want to be here " face on god i felt depressed after.Have they a problem with salt control ?? God i felt like i was chewing on a bag of salt - disgustingAnd not first dissapointing time. Gravy seems to be a lottery either thick and tasty or thin and like water (how hard is it for crying out loud )So many staff there yet only one guy taking orders -really ??? Another chain lacking in service and quality - i complained once to KFC themselves all i got was sorry well look into that - yeah rightThe chicken always dry obv to long under heat lamp Come on kfc time you changed your chips there disgusting and are always cold in 2 secs .....Get the feeling im wasting my time yet again...

Not very busy when we arrived. There seemed to be at least 4 staff available. The floor were we ordered was disgusting. Ordered our meals and asked if we could sit upstairs. On going up, my god, every table had trays, food and empty cartons on. The bin was full, the floor and chairs covered in food. Tried to find some serviettes and none in the holdall. Cleaned off a table and sat down. Chicken was not nice, some dry, not hot and chips cold. More people came up to sit and all complaining. The worst experience ever of a KFC.

Never had to wait so long to get served. One person serving was crazy especially as there was a massive queue out the door. Staff were really working hard but needed more people! Food was what you would expect.

We went in to this kfc to enjoy a boneless bucket. We sat upstairs which was an area full of wrappers and cups etc. Very unsightly and not a pleasant view, it all felt very dirty which was a shame as the chicken and gravy were very tasty. Will give it another go I expect in the hope they have someone tidying up.

can't go wrong here with hungry children wanting some fast food as to not miss to much time off the beach it was down in one,it was said that it was yummy for there tummy

Tried this food outlet and were quite pleased with the food. Reasonable quality, on Tuesday they have a special offer for the chicken pieces. Staff pleasant. Not somewhere we would go regularly.

I have only rated it average because the food is the same as you get at them all, however the service was painfully slow considering it was empty. Members card though gives good discount

Being the only kfc in Exmouth we have little choice. While the food is the usual kfc, the service in this place is enough to test anyone. There is always a dirty waiting area and service generally lacks enthusiasm but tonight Chris was probably one of the most uninterested and unenthusiastic people I have ever seen earning a wage. No politeness, no thank you. Had to ask for receipt and lid on cup of ice, everything was too much trouble. I emphasised a thank you with eye contact at the end in the hope it would jump start some sort of life. Kfc, please at least get your staff to pretend the customer is appreciated, we do indirectly pay the wages.

My partner had not eaten since day before..we ordered different meals my partner ordered pocorn chicken meal with gravy....not long after my partner felt sick and ill with stomach cramps...not first time that KFC given dodgy stomachs..even complained to there HQ once and was phobbed of with weak apology and no compensation...Standards of cleaning very bad

We were appalled by the treatment received the staff argued when we complained as the coffee was undrinkable. The kids meals were stone cold. We complained to head office who responded quickly acknowledging our complaint and said they would send us a voucher for the inconvenience, when the voucher arrived it was item specific. Why would I want another coffee from kfc

Absolutely ridiculous! We stood in a que for 30 minutes to then be told @ 11:55pm they had ran out of chicken and were closing (at 12pm) so if we wanted chicken go next door (dominos) and see if they had any!!

Very reasonable place to go and grab something for a quick lunch.The price was affordable.I spent only 3.50 pound for my lunch and my tummy was full.

I've always loved KFC.But lately when I've purchased from this store I've been disappointed. No two visits are ever the same. One visit will be a perfect order, tender chicken and it's "clean". On another visit I have come home to sloppy food, cold chips, paste like chicken and half the order missing. I have rung the store on the occasions that my order has been wrong and I have to say I am always given credit/vouchers, or the option to return the food, but after coming home I don't want to go back out again so we accept the voucher off our next purchase. This is okay for once in a blue moon but it seems every other time we have gone there, we have had issues with our order. Some staff are far to slow, and miserable. KFC has gone down hill over the past 3/5 years. But when it's good - it's really good.

The lunch time,it was very cheap and reasonable meal for me,I like their chip specialy,would recommend to all.

It is situated just on the edge on the strand.The variety pack of food was deliciuos.I most liked the chips and drink.Good value for money.

Run out of popcorn chicken and would ONLY give large chips and not replace with chicken strip! Sml popcorn cost 1.19 to go large on chips and drink .30p asked for a refund

Although I agree with the majority of negative comments I do think that they have started making more of an effort lately. A couple of new managers are really turning the service around. I haven't had any mistakes with any of my orders for months now, and like previous reviewers, it used to happen every time. So I have seen an improvement, the cleanliness is the next thing to tackle!

Probably because I can't deny I like KFC lol,but once, just once, I want to arrive home with everything I ordered and paid for in the bag - probably go there once a month, for years and could count on one hand how many times they get the order right - nothing to cause huge outrage and complaints, but small things like a chips missing, no dips etc but why oh why does it happen on nearly every visit!

Visited this KFC today decided to eat in wish we hadn't as the bin was overflowing , tables covered in rubbish, floor didn't look like it had been cleaned for at least a week. We wont be back!!!!!!!1

Probably the most incompletely run KFC I have ever visited, terrible. Lazy uninterested staff, dirty floor and order wrong. Drunkards and kids often hanging around especially at weekends as right next to pub. Not ideal for taking the family, slow

Slow, just really really slow. Its a tiny KFC minutes from the train station where the whole town centre seems to descend after getting completely off their face. KFC don't seem to feel like throwing any of them out so it can take all night just to get a single meal. Not going back there.
