Called in for lunch Sunday 14th July ordered 2 meals (3 pieces chicken, fries gravy and coffee and fillet burger meal) £19.50 Was very dissopinted received 2 small chicken legs and a scratty small wing with a bag containing just a few chips and gravy that was as runny as water. This KFC has gone downhill it varies with food quality every time I have been in,it should be consistant quality which it’s not it’s a gamble what you get served. Well I have made myself a pact I won’t be using a kFC for 12 months then maybe I will try again. 20 plus years of being a KFC eater so big decision for me to avoid.

We visited at a busy time and it meant our order took a while. We realised items were missing so returned and queued again a second time. This meant we went allegedly went over the the parking limit and was issued a fine. Contacted kfc and they refuse to help. If the order had been correct to begin with, we never would be in this situation.

Took the money not fulfilled the order, Portway. We went to the drive through at approximately 10.45pm.on Saturday 23rd September 2023. Asked for a chicken sandwich and chips, and a 3 piece boneless meal without the drink, so got gravy in it's place. On arriving home, the chicken sandwich was stone cold, chips no more than about 10 in each of the packets, 3 pieces of boneless chicken as requested, but no popcorn chicken or corn on the cob. Rang them over and over and finally got hold of someone, who said we shut at 11 so wasn't much left. We said well you shouldn't have taken the order and charged full price either. The staff and absolute disgrace and they need to have a good look at their response to our complaint. Please listen to the conversation that took place regarding it as they are recorded for training purposes. Need to upgrade the training for sure. Absolute disgrace 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Me and my partner went to the drive through like we always do. We ordered 2 variety meals and a side of beans and gravy. It was a massive 22 pounds! We questioned this and she said the prices had gone up! 3 weeks ago this was 14.50 so it had gone Up a lot, I assumed I was paying for the chicken that laid the golden egg up jacks beanstalk!!!! When we received our food we asked if there was serviettes and straws etc in the bag the assistant said yeh. We parked up and I checked the bag there was no straws or serviettes at all in there. I went in to the restaurant told an assistant to which they all looked blankly and said help yourself! Wow customer services was none existent. I wouldn’t mind but the restaurant was empty! I WILL NOT BE GOING HERE AGAIN.

We ordered a 10 piece family feast which came with a half filled bucket. 8 drumsticks and 2 little thighs. The bucket wasn’t half full the sizes were that small. When complained they said they had no chicken. The staff were all miserable and unhelpful. The chips in the bag were also half full. Awful service and awful dry food.

Asked for two drumsticks with my order and was told not guaranteed. Asked for a tray as was eating in - ignored Asked for a plastic fork (wooden ones vile) not available staff said 'didnt know why' and staff agreed wooden ones awful? After watching a TV programme on KFC I was disgusted with this place, I was under the impression the staff were professional what a joke there were 4 young boys serving we waited 30 minutes, and got completely ignored by all of them all they were interested in was talking about there girl frands and calling the next shift saying how bad they were. So many people walked out. You need to retrain these people, in the TV programme you saw managers checking on premises, you must have missed this one absolutely appalling you should be ashamed of yourself

Ordered from Uber eats. The delivery was fast and the driver was excellent pity the food was awful. Ordered 10 pieces of chicken I always thought you got a mix of legs etc. load of rubbish 3 legs and 7 thighs. The cheapest cuts of chicken. Nothing but greasy dark meat.

Not got al my order there are missing items and there not picking up the phone I’m fuming !! Called at KFC Portway for some food via drive thru on 13/02/2022, placed order and was asked do I want my large popcorn meal with large chips (always thought a large meal meant large for all items) advised I was happy with regular chips. Got to the window to pay and having had missed items in the past I asked was the order complete down to Garlic sauce? they had forgotten garlic sauce. They gave me the sauce and I drove home with my order. On unpacking the items I was aware of the small chips being not small but more like the scraps and the bag contained about 10 small bits of potato. I had to give my large (and I cannot see what was large about it) chips to my daughter and have the scraps myself. The mighty bucket for one was greasy and the coating soggy in parts. The coleslaw well that was more of a tub with 6 teaspoons of coleslaw trying to share this out was as much fun as the chip fiasco. Sweetcorn was cold Total waste of money to be honest, tried to complain by phone they don't pick up, tried to do survey which had to be done within 9 days of visit and was advised the survey had expired. Customer service with these franchises is lacking to say the least. I may as well have flushed £22.23 down the toilet

I’m 70/years old , and have been eating kfc since it first came to Preston in 1965, I can honestly say I have NEVER left a piece of kfc in my life! That is until today, the chips looked and tasted like they had been fried and refried about three times, the gravy was revolting and the chicken more so! No wonder the place was empty! Never again!

Nightmare. Order ed. Mega box. Went toilet. No. Soap. No hand dryer, no paper towels. Collected mega box. Got back too truck which was over by the docks. Chips were missing and 1 hot wing ! Returned too. KFC waited an age while a woman ranted on at the guy serving her. Finally got served. Explained my issue. Asked for a fresh mega box. As mine was now cold, Got back truck, they had obviously reused my old box chicken was now freezing. And too prove a point had,nt even give me the missing hot wing !!! Chips were also cold. So people iv been in this KFC about 20 to 30 times, every time I go to the motorbike shop across the rd I always use (well USED) this KFC, so many times iv been stood in the queue saying to myself 'now can you come here for a lunch break, it can take longer than than my lunch break to get my meal let a lone have time to eat it. iv watched people in the queue then they give up and walk out HELL KFC after all your past mistakes how can you waste custom? Also iv noticed more than once people stood at the counter with their child stood on the counter, it may not bother some people but i don't like the idea of shoes stood on a surface my food is been delivered on. I know KFC will not listen but any business large or small can not continue losing customers. some of this poor feed back isn't just KFC fault its the staff who clearly need to put moor effort in especially when people are leaving the queue and if iv noticed this then it must be happening multiple times each day. oh I've been in a lot of KFC so i know when its very slow service and take it from me iv never been in another kfc half as slow as this one.

There is no way the pieces of chicken we ordered came from a full sized bird. The pieces were very tiny and full of tiny bones. Either KFC are purchasing birds too young for slaughter or maybe they sell something mass produced in a lab. It certainly isn't something I recognised as the chicken they used to sell.

Placing our order over the intercom in the drive-thro the cashier had me repeat myself four times, because he was too busy chatting up one of his coworkers. I knew this because me & my girlfriend listened to him do it over the speaker. Once we got to the second window where he was located he didn't introduce himself, say thank you when we were leaving, or even acknowledge that we were there apart from asking if we were cash or credit. After receiving our food he closed the window. It took another 30 seconds to get him to open it again, so we could recieve our salt & straws which he forgot to put in the bag in the first place. The chicken was dry in the middle & my burger was caked in ketchup. I'm sure all this could be fixed with some more attentive staff, because it's in a beautiful location with it being right on the docks.

Came down today to get food for myself and my husband. Had a terrible day and my phone broke and I was in a bad mood. The staff let me use their phone to call my husband to let him know I was okay, and a taxi to get home. They were probably having a naff day due to the delivery issues (which, by the way, the staff were all so lovely about.) I didn’t get any food because I just wanted fries and of course there were no (again- due to a national delivery problem not because of the store) but my husband enjoyed his wings. 10/10 for customer service! Thanks :)

Let's face it, there comes a time when you just fancy a KFC. A bit like it's other American fast-food giant you forget the disappointment and just crave the greasy juices of lack-lustre food. KFC Port Way rarely fails to live up to the disappointment. Currently I'm on around a 70% success rate with ordering a variety meal (chicken, with wings and strip) and getting in return for a full bill, a standard meal (chicken, sans wings and strip). I did honestly think they were getting better, and hitting the drive-through before mid-day I managed to get served without the usual delay (or, as happened once... them running out of chicken), but to get home to find myself short-changed is, again, disappointing.

We called here for a take-away meal on our way from Blackpool. The queue for the drive-through was very very long, and seemed hardly to move; we were a very long time getting to the order window.. Had the car park not been so small and crowded, we would probably have turned around and left, but that was not possible. The staff seemed to be very confused and disorganized, We ended up getting two bottles of soda rather than the one included in the meal. Our chips had no salt whatever on them, but at least the chicken was tasty. Very under-par compared to other KFC restaurants I have visited and enjoyed.

We went to the kfc 1 time this year with my family, firstly looking around and as we walked in the place just got depressing, seating and tables didnt look clean, there was no high chairs for my 16 month old little girl to sit, when ask if they had chairs said no, managed to sit in a wooded corner to provent my little girl running around the restaurant and getting dirty, then the menue was really poor of choice for a family of 4 to choice to eat, we ordered the boneless box meal deal, once we got the order the food was fast being served which was a little quick then i expected, to say the branch wasnt that busy, open the box at my table and looked in at the chicken and could see there was multiple shades of chicken, some where crispy brown, others where a very strange colour of yellow, i took it back to the staff and ask why it was this colour they said just is, i then asked to probe the food and they said that the temperature of the chicken was 66°c in which i said thats a very for food to be served at, then when i ask about the coloure they saidnit was due to the oil, when i ask if they probe food regularly they said we only do it in the morning, i refused the order and ask to re cook my food, the staff there said we are not allowed to serve the food at 82°c i was stocked they are allowed to serve food at this standard, witb no regular probe checks or records, of course thd staf where like meerkat peeping around and over the couter as if inwas doing something wrong, the management said we would re_cook the food and get it to me, once I got the food back it was fine, didn't understand why they couldn't do that correct in the first place, after eating the food we left I and found that they was food suck to back of my pants from the restaurant it was dreadful experience for such a good establishment it the past never again eat at this place

We visited in the evening after the cinema at around 8pm. It was quiet inside with only a few customers. We were served straight away and the member of staff on the till was polite and friendly. There was a wait on fries so we were told to sit down until they could bring all our food in one go. Lots of tables but all dirty. We had to clean one down to sit at it. Food was brought over by staff who apologised for the delay. Food itself was ok standard KFC meal. Not often we visit but would more than likely return. Just needed a bit of a clean!

Went here on Thursday 29th December with my partner. We waited to get served in along queue which the counter was manned by one person only. The eating area was filthy, they got the order wrong and the food was like warm. We didn't finish what we ordered to eat and left. Roz the cashier was nice as she apologised but poorly staffed and run.

Today I decided to have lunch at KFC for a change in ordered a big daddy meal when I was ordering I stated I want mine without mayo when I sat and opened the burger it was covered in mayo so I had to go and change it in this time the rest of my lunch was getting cold, when I opened the second burger there was no hash brown on it as a result of this I am very disappointed and it spoilt my lunch I don't recommend this venue to anyone.

Did shopping at a local supermarket thought we would have KFC for tea. Waited over half an hour to get served, when we got to the front we heard the people in front being told they had no chicken a 20 minute wait. We left like most of the other people did not want to hang about any longer. We will never go again. Ended up at Mc Donald's this was good.

Extremely disappointing. The service is bad & not ONE week goes by without something being either wrong or missing. ALWAYS have to ASK for serviettes, spoon/forks, sugar and so it goes on. Coffee is always too strong - keep hoping it will differ. Should really avoid but it's a treat every week. Wish they would train the staff better.

It started badly when we had to wait over 25 mins to get served, then they told us they had no napkins! When you are eating fried chicken you need a napkin!The food was only lukewarm and not hot like it should be!The gravy was terrible, it was like brown flavourless water!!!I will not be using this KFC for a long time after today.

Visited here tonight about an hour ago and was served by a tall guy in his mid-late 20's wearing a black shirt and it's a shame I can't remember his name because he was genuinely fantastic. I am a restaurant supervisor and if I had staff like him in my team then I would absolutely love it. He was warm and friendly and spoke to us in such a happy manner and caring way that he made my day. He is a credit to your branch and I can only hope that one day I find staff exactly like that

After visiting the cinema I treated my son to tea (his favourite) The drive through was packed and he wanted to eat in. We queued for 45 minutes! Only TWO members of staff serving, the rest must have been dealing with the drive through (or twiddling their thumbs) I've never been kept waiting so long, the staff were slow, and seemed oblivious to the queue (or they didn't care). Won't visit here again, Avoid if you want FAST FOOD!

I visited kfc today with my boyfriend and had to wait for them to cook the food at the drive thru and my boyfriend asked them for just one sauce on the burger and not the salsa as he doesn't like it then when the food came his burger had all the sauces on and the drink had a fly in it as I was drinking it. It's not the first time this kfc has been disappointing.

First of all the gravy here is amazing! Been to various KFC's and the gravy never meets the standard of the gravy here! Like any fast food place the wait depends on time of day you go but is usually a quick turn over and odd visit you will get a bad piece of chicken, but for the most part the food is amazing!

Used to be a great outlet but last couple of times there has been a massive wait in the drive-thru. I waited 35 mins in the drive-thru at 8.30 on a wednesday evening - so not peak time. Just finished a long shift and wanted a 'quick' (HA) fix on my way home. Also tonight i waited 20 mins then a further 10 mins when i finally reached the order point - there was no one there to take our order and eventually getting fed up i shouted hello down the speaker and the staff said 'one minute im busy.' They are definitely understaffed - the lad taking our drive thru orders was also taking our payment at the final window, making our drinks and bagging the food up - not his fault at all but the management need to look at this. By the time we was leaving the queue was out of the car park going on to the main road (so at least 10 cars waiting). Hire more staff KFC!

So it was a sunny evening on a Wednesday night, you'd expect given that KFC is known as a fast food restaurant that you'd be in and eating quickly. Not the case this evening. Waited over 15mins in line, decided to sit in to eat to be greeted by over flowing bins, dirty tables and not enough staff to make the dinning experience a good one.Maybe the other fast food outlet down the road would have been the safer option.

Hot sunny day, went to the drive threw and admittedly the service was quick. However there was no ice available, we weren't given any condiments or napkins and the food was luke warm. The gravy however was delicious. Not impressed with this KFC.

Spent 50 minutes in a queue inside, as the drive through is always slow and difficult. Apparently this was due to a new electronic finger print recognition system at the tills. This wouldn't have restricted the use of additional help to bag up the orders. DUH........The cars were being moved faster than the standing customers. The food was being served cold and customers leaving. I will avoid this store like the plague CHECK CAMERAS AND FALL ASLEEP WATCHING THE QUEUE NOT REDUCE ......

After taking my family to the pictures for a treat we decided to have dinner out for a treat for the children. Upon entering the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was inside, the new deco was lovely. The toilets were spotless and the staff really pleasant. After ordering a lovely lady brought our meal over to us and made sure we had everything we needed. The offer on the double bucket meal was fantastic value as we were all full afterwards and the food was hot and very tasty. Parking was no problem and we were served quickly. Would definitely recommend!!

The chips were half cold, the chickens were way too greasy. The floor was very sticky. I wouldnt pop in again if I knew it would like this.

No clue sure who in their right might would even give this place a passing grade let alone 5 stars! I feel sorry for them if this is the best service they have ever had! Other times we've been there it's always been dirty and badly prepared and not the best staffed but the recent experience has made me decide to never go there again! I’ve never had a worse experience in a restaurant in my entire life! You’d think a chain of restaurants would have more professional staff members. The staff were offensive and lazy and seamed to horribly bully the few staff that tried to do their job, they closed up earlier presumably leave early and don‘t even attempt to treat people like they were human beings! They blatantly lied to customers that they couldn't sell anything even though they were still serving the drive through. even one of the girls who worked there referred us as 'THEM' with such a blatant disdain and disrespect for us that it made me think we had gone into a KFC run by high school children! Even the cashier admitting that they could not be bothered to make or sell any more food even though it was long before closing!We do not get many evenings out as a family together due to I work long hours during the week and my partner working late evening shifts and partner's mom working most nights as a nurse and one of the few times we have gotten out together was ruined by this! I complained to KFC and a simple 'we will be addressing this answer was remarked' similar to other reviewers.I HIGHLY suggest you go elsewhere, there are plenty of other nice places at the marina where you are not going to be treated like trash just because you ordered food!

I should say I emailed my experience to KFC & got a generic response which was very poor customers service.Queued for 20 minutes.Grumpy rude guy on till, no apology for the wait.No gravy.One of the burgers was cold, took it back & the guy on till said "it's not my fault mate".Gave us another which was warmer but no way was this at the required "hold" temperature. No apology.Chips all cold.Food was scattered everywhere behind the counter, dirty & disgusting.No urgency, absolutely hopeless.I had a dodgy stomach next day.Avoid this place unless you want to be ill. I will be contacting the local health inspector as a result.Shame in you KFC, terrible response to my complaint.Avoid this place at all cost!

We called in on a Saturday night to the drive through,not long to wait.We paid at the second window to an abrubt undertrained staff member who didnt even make eye contact,he took our card payment almost threw the receipt and then passed us the food and drinks,not friendly,no interest and talking to others behind the window.No mention of a thanks, enjoy your meal.Nothing.A massive training issue if I were the Manager he would be long gone.No need for this KFC get your act together.Will not go again.Not like me to review in this way but the treatment was not on.

Do not go here..attitude from the night manager an 2 members of his staff.This place is filthy an the front of house cleaner was to busy with his hair an he works in a food environment. Staff to busy talking to there colleagues instead of customers. The night manger was abrupt an rude an when we complained he said we'll contact customer services. Well I think I will.never will eat their again ever.

This is the best KFC ever,I always travel here when I have one.The chicken is a lot nicer than other KFC outlets.I have even been to the very first KFC outlet in the state of Kentucky and I got to try the original but this one is still better.

Travelled 5 miles with family to take advantage of the Colonel Club offers only to find at the till that they do not honour the KFC offers or rewards. Used the Iphone App. to check before leaving home and on the Colonel Club App KFC Portway Preston is top of list. Why is it there if it is not honouring the offers. So we ended up paying over the odds for less food which was not worth the effort. Complete waste of time and money.

We arrived approximately 2.30 pm, the car park was full and so was the drive through. My daughter really wanted a meal, as we got through the doors the queue was there, I couldn't let my daughter down we started to queue we got to the tills at 3pm I was disgusted call this a fast food place then waited a further 10 minutes absolute waste of time. Avoid this place

The food is always good and hot. This is a busy kfc and there always seem to be a shortage of staff who can operate the order taking and tills. I do use this place on a regular basis and have had to que on a number of occasions upto twenty minutes. However the food is good and the service friendly. On the very odd occasion when I have had to complain it was dealt with quickly without any fuss. Train more staff to be able to use the tills and this could be a brilliant place.at the present time, use the take away, it's quicker.

went to this restaurant on 1 March 2015 about 7.30pm. Ordered variety bucket to take out. Got home, they'd forgotten to put in the hot wings. I couldn't go back to store as a friend had driven my via the restaurant on my way home after a visit. Contacted KFC via their website. Got an email the next day acknowledging their mistake and that the area coach will give training on what to include. However no compensation was offered for the missing food. I was not even given the chance to engage in any further discussion, being told that the email address was no reply! I was very put off by this lack of customer service and will not recommend this chain.

Went to the drive through the service & the attitude was awful! They got my order wrong & i even found a hair in my food! The food didnt taste fresh, it tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave! overall service was appauling!

Went to the drive-through section for a quick lunch. The queue was terrible - very narrow, no escape. Took about 20 minutes to get to the order point and then another 5 to get the food which had obviously been ready for a while.The wrap I ordered was fine, but the chips had gone cold. Obviously as a drive-through you can't check these until you've driven off and parked. Couldn't face another long wait to complain.Will avoid in the future. The McDonald's drive-through just up the road is very quick in comparison.

Called in for lunch on my way through Preston. This outlet is conveniently placed close to the marina. The service was reasonable and quick but there was no air conditioning and with temperatures outside in the high 20's the atmosphere inside was oppressive. The windows would not open and the staff were reluctant to leave the front door open or go to the nearby Homebase to pick up a couple of fans. Free car park was an added bonus but could not make up for the oven-like interior.

I am not one to rate takeaways. However, we were really hungry and had to stop here for a bite to eat.. I was shocked how friendly the staff were, how quiet the restaurant was and how nice the food was! Usually it is a bit to be desired.. overcooked chicken and fried to death.. however, this was perfect. really good!

I love KFC and have visited many. This KFC is the best! It consistently serves fresh faultless meals, they always get the order correct and the premises are always clean. On the rare occasion I have had to wait for my order they give additional food free of charge. A particular member of staff named Tom is exceptional, he is always professional, polite and knows our order off by heart, even when the menu changes to our favourite 'HotShots'. Only wish they delivered!!!

We went for a quick lunch. First thoughts on arrival was the store looked like it had recently been refurbished.....pretty good first impression. Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the food or the service upon having an issue with cold, undercooked bacon xl burger. We asked for the burger to be replaced as it was anaemic and cold. Got given the replacement burger, for that to be even colder and still anaemic. The attitude of the manager, Kirsty I think was her name, was unhelpful and dismissive, no attempt to rectify the complaint. Ended up getting a refund, no replacement, therefore went without lunch. On leaving the store, the same manager shouted after us smugly 'thanks guys, bye' with a grin. Not the act or attitude in fitting with management level anywhere. We will definitely not be back and recommend highly that nobody else does either. We tried to leave feedback on burger Kings own website, unfortunately, that wasn't functioning either! Burger King......King of burgers you are not!
