Part of the order raw, ordered a zinger box meal as wanted to try something different. It was very dry (bun, lettuce) and the chicken was pink and stone cold. Not safe at all. With the side of corn on the cob it was hard and cold so not cooked correctly. Staff were quite rude but the order did come quite quickly which was the first red flag. Other than that we did have some boneless chicken that was good and tasty but that was the only nice part. Thought it would be nice to have a kfc for a change as the last we had was nice (Glastonbury) but here it was disgusting. Other nearby KFC is worst than the one in frome. Very disappointing and it was very expensive. Might just stick with macdonalds

Zinger stacker meal @ £9.99, burger was tiny and overpriced. 3 Chicken pieces were tasteless, dry and over cooked. Asked for bbq sauce, which wasn't available, was only given 2 sachets, after spending over £25. Not used this branch in a while, as got home and only had part of the order, the previous time. Definitely prefer Glastonbury KFC.

Having not been here for a couple of years we thought we’d try Frome out , it’s a little bit closer to us than the Trowbridge branch . The food was lovely ,hot and well cooked , but was disappointed to find the service slow , despite not being busy , the tables dirty and essential things such as forks/ spoons unavailable ( seem pretty essential if beans are one of your side orders !) and to be frank the staff appeared to be generally disinterested . We had hoped things may have changed in the time that we haven’t been here , clearly not

Without doubt the worst fast food meal I've ever experienced. I stuck with what they do best - chicken (3 pieces) and chips. The chicken was dripping in grease and not crispy at all, ridiculously over salted and had clearly been broiling under the heat lamps for hours. The chips were overcooked to the point that they were dark brown in colour, yet they were soggy and limp. I ate one piece of chicken and was trying to eat a second when piece one came up again. For the love of god, do not go here. It hurts to have to give 1 star, but I'll justify it to myself by saying that was for the bottle of water thar made it a meal deal. Rank.

I wouldn't come back frome kcf. 3 time so far order chicken salad box. Got something different. And. Workers have bad attitude to customers. Zone o. On stars. No thanks

Having not had a KFC for over a year, we just fancied one & drove to Frome. Well, the team member who served us was very nice but they didn't have any soft drinks as the machine wasn't working. We could hear staff messing around in the back, very unprofessional. We were then given our food & it wasn't very warm, my chips were cold & soggy. I should've taken my whole meal back but a look from hubby said it all. There was only a few salt sachets out, no sugar, no stirrers, 2 wet wipes, a few paper tissues, it was awful. The tables weren't very clean, neither was the floor. Then Slow Norris came round with the brush & attempted to clean the floor of old chips & bits of food. Very painful to watch, I felt like showing him how it was done. He didn't attempt to wipe the salt & bits from the tables. So whilst Mr "Im not interested in my job" tried to sweep badly, a few people came in for takeaways or went to the drive thru & all you could hear was staff messing about behind the scenes. All in all, this was very poor, from the young staff to the grubby tables to the lukewarm food. This restaurant needs someone to go in & sort the staff out as they look scruffy & are unprofessional. We won't be returning anytime soon.

On arrival, all but 1 staff members were outside the front sat around the table. When they saw us heading towards the door, they all ushered inside towards the kitchen. (NO handwashing happened) When inside, we noticed 1 member of staff (Abigail) working her ass off, carrying the rest of the staffs workload. We headed to the toilets, which had just been cleaned and Abigail kindly pre-warned us of the wet floor. Abigail talked us through meals, until we made our minds up and was pleasant throughout. However, when we were eating, we could clearly hear the other 3 members of staff 'messing around', shouting and being unprofessional. Abigail, spoke to them and reminded them that they were indeed at work and for them to 'pack it in.' Abigail remained professional and continued to clear, clean and sweep the restaurant, whilst the other staff members continued to be at high volume. Reading the rest of KFC - Frome reviews, I highly recommend something is put into place, to gain custom.

Drove several miles to order and collect a KFC for two - first meal - no water (out of stock), second meal - no beans other than large so no side dish (out of stock). I've noticed this take it or leave it at several KFC's recently, so whilst I ordered the first meal, I went to McDonalds for the second and the McSpicy was great. I am going to give KFC a miss for a few months and will try once more

Awful service, awful staff. I have never seen anyone that works in fast food to go so slow. It took 15 minutes to get our order. When it came I asked if I could check it as the last 3 times going there something was missing. I'm glad I did as I paid to go large and when looking I had only got a normal portion of chips, you can't call them Fries. They aren't even peeled before being fried, just chopped. I can honestly say I was very disappointed and I seriously think sloths move much quicker than the staff.

disappointing! Been twice in the last few days and told they are sold out at 9.00pm both times. Nothing available bot site is open !!!! Then went for lunch at 12 noon and told that the tills are down and they could not take our order. What is happening? Management what is going on? Fortunately there is a MacDonalds over the road so we went there!

Dirty tables needed cleaning. Toilets filthy, mens closed and family / disabled toilet covered in poo spray Food was not much better chicken was soggy and did not smell too good Never again . You KFC should be ashamed!

This KFC was definitely far below are expectations when you walk in the floor is dirty and covered in grease.looks like It only gets cleaned once a week.the toilets where out of order.and they were even “out of water” so we had to buy expensive pop instead. There was no cutlery . The chicken was so greasy, there was practically more grease than food, and it was undercooked. the “spicy wings” were not even mildly spicy 🥵. It was definitely not worth the expensive price and I would not recommend to anyone no wonder no one goes there there was more staff than customers! I have just experienced some difficult digestion issues as well. Please do not go here

The restaurant was appalling and dirty with tables and chairs roped off with tape, the toilets were closed, waited 20 minutes for food then to be told we had to wait another 10 minutes so asked for a refund. The place is run by kids and there seems to be no organisation. Overall very dirty and should not be open.

Store is dirty. As you walk in you're faced with two self service terminals, neither of which work. They don't sell full fat coke anymore which is a pain as I don't enjoy diet or sugar free variants. Food was ok, nothing special. Worst of all though, the toilet was out of action and cordoned off making it look like a crime scene (see attached photo). Avoid unless really desperate.

The boxed meal consisted of piece of corn. a few chips, a piece of Brest and a bun with a breast in it. The chip looked and tasted like they had been recycled. The chicken could have been from anywhere - it did not have the usual KFC taste. Last time I was here I ate in the restaurant which was okay.

Used the drive thru, I had to repeat my order 4 times for a single meal. Got my disgusting cold mushy food that smelt toxic. I wouldn’t even feed to a dog, the only place it was fir for was the bin. Drink was fixzy water, the place needs shutting down, refurbishment and retraining. Worst fast food I’ve ever encountered.

I had a fillet burger and it was well tasty could tell it was handcrafted by only the finest of cooks and i was served with a big smile by a lad named jamie was a proper g that one

Food was ok, table and floor was sticky. Staff were just a few kids but they were doing their best. It was on some kind of industrial estate and the place was empty.

Ordered a rice box on the app. My number appeared and disappeared on the screen. I waited a couple of minutes before approaching the till area only to be told that they’d run out of rice. I’m more disappointed that I had to ask about my order rather than them address it immediately than not being able to get the rice box. I would hope that they introduce the ability for anything not available to be hidden on the app so it can’t be ordered and this doesn’t happen again. We order on the app for smooth transactions with minimal fuss so not being able to get a refund back on the app is the most user unfriendly idea there is with the need to call a number. We just want to eat chicken not deal with telephone calls. The service is usually lukewarm at best and after working nearby for the last nine months, I can say that it is consistently the worst KFC I’ve ever been to and I have been to a lot over the years. I hope they can sort it out because it does make me not want to visit this particular KFC again.

I had to wait to place an order. They didn’t have a lot of the family meals available. I ordered 10 pieces of chicken meal with an additional gravy as a side. We only received 7 pieces of chicken and no gravy. Poor service!!!

Thought, against my better judgement, to grab a quick meal from here last Friday night, pulled in the drive through queue and waited for 15 mins to get to the order point, gave my order to be told it would be at least 35-40 mins............

Ordered boneless banquet and when we opened it up, it was missing the dip & very small strips of chicken. Certainly no banquet. Staff did not offer spoon for side or napkins. No ice in drink either. Pretty poor service. Won't bother again!

An unplanned stop for lunch. We enjoyed our meal which was was very tasty. The only drawback was that the restaurant was understaffed so we had to wait for about 20 minutes for our order.

Let down every time we go to this place. Went in once and a friend had to wait 40mins for his food and when he went to the till to ask about it they forgot he had even ordered even though it was flashing on the order screen Infront of them. And every time we get a drive through you are limited to one order per car. I'd rather go next door to McDonald's and make as many orders as I please. The amount of money this place must lose due to this stupid/annoying rule is amazing I'll never eat at KFC Frome again.

Over 40 minute wait on evening of Friday 5th July for two buckets and a zinger burger....should have left and gone elsewhere. Disinterested staff who didn't want to be there, disorganised and messy. Food dry and horrible. Been here several times before and although sometimes slow, never this bad. Will not return.

Disgusting service from very unpleasant man with red hair and glasses. Came across aggressive and angry, ordering food shouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable but this definitely did. Absolutely vile, you need to hire some new staff who have heard of ‘service with a smile’ Unlike this man.

This place is simply awful. Demotivated and unattentive staff, menu items not available and food takes ages to be prepared. Its also dirty and unloved. It was almost empty when I visited. I can see why. KFC or the franchisee need to make a surprise or secret shop visit here.

We have been here several times over the years when we’re on holiday and every time the order is wrong. We went today ordered 2 boneless banquets with beans and coleslaw the beans ended up being gravy. We also ordered 2 children’s chicken strip meals. Ended up with chicken burgers. (Our children don’t like bread so they went Hungary). The chicken in our banquet meal was very very dry in fact is was that dry it was hard to swallow. We must remind ourselves never to go there again as this has been happening for years and the place never improves. The management should be ashamed of themselves and KFC as a franchisee should give there managers more training.

I’m fed up hoping this place will improve. This time, three of us, two disabled and one senior citizen. In for a meal. Coffee machine not working properly, No ice creams for desert and finally, gents toilets not working. This follows a previously poor visit. You’ve had your chances. If the front of house and what is obvious to the public is a standard that they’re happy with, then what’s it like behind-the-scenes the cleanliness et cetera???

We visited KFC Frome today their were two young female staff who seemed very inexperienced my daughter unwrapped her Burger and there was large patch of mould on top of bun she took it back the girl just took it and went to get another no sorry or anything!! Awful customer service will never go there again !!

We went into the drive threw and there were no other cars in there so very quiet. This was Sunday eve about 6.00 we ordered 2 boneless box’s and 2 children’s strip meals and 2 corns. Simple order you would think.

Went to the drive through in frome . This was a long wait in itself , when giving the order the person on the other end kept asking to repeat even though we were speaking clearly . Ordered a Krush as the drink For the meal , she then said what flavour for the other we said no we want 1 and it’s part of the meal ... asked for a chicken and bacon no mayo . No mayo was repeated so we though ok . Got our meals 2 krush drinks and mayo on the burger !!!

We went to the KFC in Frome and was welcomed with complete disgrace. All the tables in the restaurant were covered in used boxes and food. The floor was covered in food which looked like it had been there for a long time, not just for an hour or two. There was little in the way of condiments and there was no salt. I did ask the assistant if they had any and she told me no! Our food was ordered and I went to use the toilet. The toilets did not have any toilet roll but had serviettes instead, I located somewhere to sit and then found myself going back into the toilet with serviettes so that I could get them wet so I could clean the table,

Great experience from start to finish. We couldn't decide what yo have but the chap on the till was really patient and helpful. Food was fresh and tasted good. So much better than our local KFC!! Well done to the Frome team :)

Long long wait for food, to be fair its down to not enough staff and thats not their fault thats down to who owns it. Shame used to love it there but the wait is just no longer worth it. Food is always nice when it comes and is always hot, just to long to stand and wait for what is supposed to be fast food.

Our local KFC has a dreadful reputation on both its food and hygiene, so decided to travel out a little further to try a different venue. All good here, clean tidy and organised. Cheerful patient staff and chicken was extremely juicy and tasty. Thanks, no complaints from us !

Waited at drive through 12 mins after ordering food.When I parked in car park it was cold.The worst meal I have eaten.Corn on cob was not even Luke warm.Bins in car park over flowing.Very disappointing .

Used the drive through on Saturday night at about 09-30 pm to order a variety bucket only to be told there would be a 45 minute wait for chicken.

I couldn't help but feel bad for the front of house staff. They have to explain to every single customer that walks in why they can't do what they want them to do, more often than not the customer(s) do not understand that it's a supply problem the staff have no control over and give them hell when the staff really are trying their best.

I've been to KFC in Frome a few times and it is in my opinion terrible. The food is usually warm, if you are lucky. They never seem to have everything in stock. Today no beans. The staff always seem to have this sort off we don't care attitude. If there are more than a couple of customers waiting it can take ages to fulfil a simple order, after all the main ingredients are chicken and chips with a few other bits and pieces, so it can’t be rocket science to get it right. Goodness knows how they would cope if a bus load arrived. I would not recommend this place at all. It’s about time the KFC people checked some of their eating places as many of them seem to get pretty poor reviews. There seems to be plenty of reviews out there to support my opinion.

Over 30 minute wait for food after paying yet only 5 customers in front of me waiting?! Limited menu I can forgive but service I can't. Fast Food?! you must be kidding! To add insult to injury drove home and opened box and zinger cheese burger missing zinger sauce and cheese?! How can it be so bad at the Frome KFC branch!

Went there with my daughter last week. The place is disgusting, the food was cold and tasteless. They had no salt...... everyone asked for it and they had none left. The place is 100m from Sainsbury’s, you’d of thought that the manager would have thought outside the box and sent someone across to busy some !! The floor was exceptionally greasy, rather than clean it up they put a “wet floor” sign up. I saw a number of people nearly fall. The staff need a wake up call. Never again

Store was pretty much empty when arrived and only 3 orders on the board, ours being one of those. Was told by a member of staff “sorry your chicken fillets will take 5 minutes maximum” so we waited after 20 minutes we asked if we had been forgotten was told no and that we were next, 2 people had been served who had come in after us and god knows how many through the Drive thru. In total waited 30 minutes for food, tried to take picture to prove how long we had been waiting but the guy behind the counter spotted us and cleared it. Sat down to finally eat our meal to find he had missed two of our sides. People were walking out, Absolutely shocking service, would never return or recommend. McDonald’s next door much quicker.

Abysmal service, I had the promotion meal which was like warm, wife had 2 pieces and chips which was piping hot. This place is a joke, at least we only had 6 in front of us so we waited 20 mins or more. When we left there was a long queue how long they waited I dread to think. It appears from previous entries this is normal but no one seems to take any notice!

In the last 6 weeks went there twice and there were 7 of us. But the wait was terrible in the end walked out and went to McDonald’s. Not good waiting for 15 mins not moving and the people in front been waiting 30 mins plus. Even ran out of chicken and only 3 people working with the restaurant and drive through on the go. Will never go back. If they can’t handle a Thursday afternoon/night how will they coup with a weekend. Very very poor I like kfc but this has put me off. ❌❌❌

We love KFC but this is simply ridiculous! Every time we go we wait around 30 minutes for our food. How can this place call themselves a fast food service. They are never busy but never manage to serve fast . The latest attempt at going ended in a 45 minute wait because they didn't have enough chicken pieces cooked.

Firstly how can a fast food chicken place have a 20 minute wait on chicken !!!

First of all, the staff (in particular the chap that served me) was very friendly and welcoming.

After a long day out sight seeing we were in need of some quick grub before a stay at Premier Inn. Kids choice. After queuing for a while we were greeted by a really friendly young girl. She helped with menu choices and then sat us down. After another wait the food arrived and was hot and fresh. The music was a little loud but it was later in the evening.

When we walked in the restaurant it was completely empty but we couldn't find a clean table to sit at. The floors were covered in rubbish and food yet nobody was cleaning up. I only saw 2 members of staff but as we were the only people in the restaurant there was absolutely no excuse for it to be in the mess it was. Very disappointed in the food as well as it wasn't very warm, don't think I will be rushing back which is a shame as we love KFC usually but they need to get a decent manager in to sort out the lazy staff

How can it possibly take 25 minutes to serve 5 orders? It's pathetic. If I was KFC head office I would want to know why this franchise is so badly managed, and why they are letting down the KFC brand as a whole so badly. Still at least I got the food I ordered, the guys in front of me who'd waited just as long went away empty handed because the ice cream machine was broken. Stupidly, ridiculously rubbish.

Waste of time, 20 mins waiting in the waiting bay for four small meals, had to remind them I was there. Staff weren't bothered at all when I told them, they did give me a few hot wings for waiting. Never again

Food ok but if you go threw the drive view beware as they will forget to put the correct items in the bag. Never any salt or cutlery to eat your beans. Then when you say is there cutlery in there they say yes but there was only 1 fork for 3 meals also forgot to put my sons drink in the bag just check before you drive away We have been there 6 times and every time it's been wrong

We have over the years use this place and food can be hit or miss for food as some times go in food can be nice hot and taste real good and other times can be warm food and taste not there at all ,I have use other kfc but this seen worst one for doing this with food and in past I have phone head office say them but still stay same which a shame.

Waited 35 mins for our meal - they forgot us!! On the plus side once this was highlighted the server was very apologetic & gave us free extras to apologise. Other than the wait it was fine

After a long day at Longleat we were exhausted so we didn't fancy a full 3 course meal. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and very helpful. Simon thank you for being so helpful.

In contrast to many KFC, the chicken here isn't dripping with grease, it's quite dry and a bit tasty, you get what you order, even if you have to repeat yourself a few times ( drive thru ) but they seem to be pleasant enough in there

We were thrilled to see that our local KFC has has a makeover - looks fantastic! The service is fast and food is good - so a nice option for lunch when we are on the go in Frome.

I love KFC ,the Frome kfc however is not good ,the sweet corn was very soft and tasted bland couldn't eat it ,the chicken was dripping in oil soft skin the seasoning fell of the skin it was very disappointing as we live 5/6 miles away from Frome it was not worth traveling back to ask for fresh cooked crispy chicken ,

Visited Frome Kfc today as 2 families. The Customer Service was a joke, slow, dirty, uninterested, rude and none responsive. The general cleanliness was very poor and the Men's toilet water out of service. The food was just ok, the fries were burnt. The lack of management was the issue, the staff seemed to be doing what they pleased.

Never had any bad food from here. Once sat down to eat and chips seemed a bit cold and soggy but they were changed without a problem.

I love my KFC, but i only eat certain pieces of chicken. Hubby loves all the chicken so we ordered a family feast and asked for 2 pieces off the crown of chicken. Only to be told i will try. When we got home i didn't have any out of a 10 piece bucket. The gravy sides had 2 different dates on it i assume this is the use by date, today is the 30th October & yes tonight is the 30th So why have dates 13th & 23rd on them. Also gravy is so watered down and has no taste, if you go anywhere else it is thick and full of flavor. You try to call the branch to air your concerns but they dont bother answering.

Good service and the staff are always helpful to th customers.the food is good and tasty I just miss the opportunity for the taste that we used to get.

I went here the otherday for a quick bite ordered a variety meal, one of my pieces of chicken was undercooked, so i walk upto the counter and explain this to a server named LIAM, his attitude stunk saying it was the seasoning, now the seasoning is orange, I explained there was blood coming out, the meat was pink, under cooked, i think i should know as i was a head chef for years. Beside the point he was abrupt rude and I wasnt happy he was trying to pass it off as seasoning,

I love KFC, and my experience at the Frome KFC won't put me off, but I ordered a boneless banquet for 1 and got 3 of the smallest chicken fillet's I've ever seen, they were tepid at best, and had obviously been hanging around for a very long time. The gravy was deeply unpleasant, it was so thin you could see through it, it was luke warm and as runny as dishwater! The staff seemed stressed out, the manager was running around waving her arms around - chasing staff from one room to the next, why? I have no idea, there certainly weren't that many customers for them to behave so unprofessionally.
