Met my family here for lunch to celebrate my new job. Wasn't impressed when one of the members of staff came over to give me a lecture on my driving skills. Safe to say they lost our custom and we won't be visiting here again.

We had an excellent Sunday carvery lunch. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My wife is Gluten Free and as, usually, Gluten Free gravy is not available she, sometimes, takes her own gravy granules so that she can have gravy with her meal. Here, the waitress said that my wife could have her own gravy granules made up, if she wanted, but there was no need because they provided Gluten Free gravy. Very good value for money and would recommend.

I often visit this Team Room and particularly like the Sunday lunch - even as a vegetarian! My only advice is that if you're lunching with people who you haven't seen for a while (and want to have time to catch-up), then book the early sitting as we find the later setting doesn't provide enough time to relax and chat as they start to clear away or shut at 3 - 3.30pm?

After seeing and hearing all about this venue I thought it was worth a visit. Limited choice of cakes , repetitive options , no variety unless you love chocolate - very disappointing . Staff rude - asked for a black iced coffee and was abruptly told they didn't do black iced coffee , it had to have milk !!!!!! I've never heard anything so ridiculous !!!!!. Unless you love chocolate cakes with minimal variations I'd go elsewhere. Public WC's disgusting too !! I won't be returning that's for sure

We only wanted something light so called here to look round the water garden and have a lunch. Friendly service, plenty of outside seating. We shared a chicken and bacon wrap, which was tasty. Fine for what we wanted but cannot judge on meals as we only had a snack.

Was greeted with "you can't order food as we close in 45 minutes, you can have what's here" ~ had wanted late lunch. Served quiche on tea plate with plastic fork, had to ask for knife, a stale sausage roll, nice lemon cheesecake. Sat at dirty coffee ringed table. Had heard good reviews but very disappointed , won't return.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Hereford. The service is unmatched. The staff truly care about your experience and the food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Can’t think what cake we didn’t order (after we polished off our breakfasts!) who even eats cake in the morning….. a table of 6 did! Absolutely the best experience we have had for a very long time. Can now see why our local family constantly frequent this beautiful gem. We were made to feel very welcome and the views… well money simply can’t buy that ambience. Highly recommend! You looked after us so wonderfully. Puzzled by some of the reviews we read after desperately needing to validate how well we were looked after by the staff. Not enough people take the time to put on a positive review. Upon leaving, we couldn’t help but notice a little old man sat by himself overlooking the water fountain reading his book (can only assume he’s probably a regular), but the care and consideration paid to him by the staff was truly humbling, he didn’t need to raise a finger the staff were overwhelmingly accommodating). So again, from us Cambridge lot, ..until the next time.

Despite previously extremely positive experiences at Kenchester Tea Rooms, we were so disappointed by our visit this time. Popularity has significantly impacted on quality and amount. Hot food arrives cold as you wait ages whilst you join a long queue for the till. Food all seems to be served in take out and you eat your almost cold carvery with cardboard? knife and fork out of a foil throw out tray. Other meals served cold in cardboard takeout boxes. Watch out for super expensive warm coffee in cardboard cups which is confusing as food is reasonably priced. All go in big black bin - so no looking after our carbon footprint here!!! One member of staff was so rude to my mum she is still upset by how she was spoken too- she said 'i felt like they thought 'silly old woman''. Despite this one member of staff, all the other staff did appear super friendly, polite and rushed off their feet. Very disappointed as this has been our favourite Sunday lunch venue, but alas no more.

I have been to Kenchester on many occasions and enjoyed tea and cake. I had promised to take my mom which I did on Wednesday afternoon. When I arrived at 4:15, after checking both your website and TripAdvisor for opening times, where it is stated 5:00 / 5:30 I was rudely told they closed at 3:30. I asked if they had anything left for a takeout as we had travelled 25 miles and they said nothing. There was no apology for the misinformation on the website.

A friend recommended here for lunch last week. We arrived, walked from the dusty car park through a gate, passed the toilets to queue next to the bins (which were full). Quite a few people eating, out of what looked like takeout pizza boxes but that didn't put us off and we joined the queue. No meeters or greeters and we slowly got to the front. Inside appeared to be 3 women who worked there, all fanning their faces in the heat, one wiping her sweaty face with the tea towel around her neck! 2 of them ambled out to the garden for a cigarette and tea towel lady went back to the kitchen! We were served by a friendly face behind the chilled counter 'no hot food at the moment and no crisps sorry'. We opted for sandwiches and were handed a raffle ticket for our order number. We sat under cover outside and got our sandwiches a short while later. They arrived in take out pizza boxes with a side salad. Food was ok but was cut into some very odd angles, as if done in a hurry. We had opted to share an Oreo 'blondie' which literally tasted of nothing. Coupled with warm cans of drink and the nearby overflowing bins, we beat a hasty retreat to the car and out of there.. maybe they were having an off day? We probably won't return in a hurry.

Just visited and whiling the time away in Debenham with a very full stomach while er-indoors spends money! A very nice lunch, friendly, attentive service and full of heart. The beef I must say was delicious, roasted as only a Sunday joint should be. So nice to see that the dreaded steamer which kills the taste is not used. I had the three meats and a very generous plate. Vegetables were good, my no 1 were the carrots, full of taste giving me that lovely autumn flavour of ripened sweetness perfectly cooked I think a little swede added (one very underrated superb veg)Family run, mother and daughters- even gran came in- brilliant, it shows the warmth of the people in the food and restaurant in general! Will definitely visit again.

Set in beautiful grounds this is a rather unusual place. It is certainly a tea rooms with not the best decor and it is certainly not a Sunday carvery as most people would think. There is a choice of just one type of meat, beef chicken or pork all very overcooked for our taste and it is served canteen style on a plate as each table is called over to the counter. There are no joints from which to choose as in other carveries with the possibility of more than one selection. Then there is the rather odd situation where each person is asked "one or two roast potatoes!" A yorkshire pudding and a small spoonful of cauliflower cheese is placed on the plate and then it is handed over and then each customer is able to help themselves to a very good selection of other vegetables. There is no alcohol license only tea coffee and soft drinks. The friend who invited us is a regular visitor and the place was certainly busy. So they must be doing something right for some people. The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive but it is not for us. Sorry.

My friend and I were visiting the water gardens and decided to have a snack in the tea rooms. We ordered and paid for our meals separately but immediately one after the other. We chose jacket potatoes, a tea and a coffee. After about 5 minutes my meal arrived. We waited for my friends meal..and waited...and waited...then her coffee arrived...and we waited...and waited...and about another 15 minutes later her meal arrived. It was 1pm and the tearoom had about 7 other people in it. The food was lovely and apart from waiting for my friends meal for 30 minutes and a very disobedient 4 year old we had a nice time.

Nice choice in desserts too all fresh and homemade. I'd recommend this place to anyone. My friend goes also on a regular basis with her mum for the Quiche, which I too can recommend highly. First visit to The Railway Inn Dinmore. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. 1 adult had an allergy to a foodstuff, staff were able to advise which meals were suitable - majority of meals, but Chef would accommodate as meals were freshly prepared. Booking advisable. Wait a while for your meal as its freshly prepared but well worth the wait. Good presentation of food, hot, tasty good quality. Off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. Beautiful location and tasteful décor. Will certainly visit again.

Walk-in at 6.00 on a Saturday evening, as we happened to be in the area and lived the look of the menu. Nobody greeted us, but we asked the lady who appeared to be in charge whether they were serving food that evening. She rolled her eyes. The conversation then went as follows: Her: Have you booked? Us: no, I'm afraid we haven't. Her: Huh. (Rolls eyes again, goes over to the bookings list). It's very quiet, but I don't really want to do any more today. Us:... Her: I suppose I could do 7 o'clock... Us: Don't worry, bye! Her: Huh. No way were we going to give our business to somewhere with such a bad attitude. But it turned out well for us - we ended up at the Lal Bagh Bangladeshi restaurant down the road, and had possibly the best curry we've ever eaten!

Nice place, but when asking about nuts in the carrot cake the girl didn't know. Shouldn't rain their staff on anaphylaxis and its dangers.
