Visited here and had a fantastic quiche and salad. I have been calling into this wonderful cafe about once or twice a year for a very long time. The owner and staff were really welcoming and the food was really lovely. It is great to have independent cafes like this to visit. I look forward to my next visit. Sylvia

The “antique” tea room is more like the “car boot sale” cafe. Cluttered, mismatched and bleak as a doctors waiting room. Using the cheapest ingredients possible (my daughter even recognised this with the disgusting, watery, strawberry milk masquerading as milkshake) and charging like a Michelin star restaurant in central London (£2.75 for a can of coke, £13.95 for a SAUSAGE ROLL?) how the proprietors have the gaul to look customers in the eye is a mystery. There are any number of establishments in Hereford superior to this. I suggest trying those instead. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Stopped by for a cream tea on the bank holiday, we were greeted by friendly staff and the service was prompt (although saying that, there were only two other customers at the time!). 2 cream teas (one pot of tea - complete with tea cosy - and two scones with jam and cream) totalled just under £14. The scones were fresh, tasty and warmed up, which we were very happy with. Would return for an occasional treat.

One large pot of tea, three small(very quaint) teacups, £21, my father nearly fell over with shock, way too expensive, no heating on either so quite cold. No prices outside but didn't expect a pot of tea to cost so much. Definitely would not recommend at those prices, shame because it is quaint in there.

2 teas and 2 cakes, one a very small slice indeed. Whilst the surroundings are quaint the near £13 price certainly was a shock. Much better value elsewhere such as the Cathedral cafe that we had fortunately stopped at in the morning. Will definitely not return and suggest you walk past.

Went with old friends (couple) to have a bite before heading for a stroll round Hereford town centre. I ordered two teas, for myself and my wife, and I ordered the cheese omelette and my wife had sandwiches, both meals came with side salads. Our friends had a Rarebit each. I have never seen an omelette like the one served up. It was a small, flat, round, thin, anaemic looking item served on the plate with a very thin layer of cheese on the top! It wasn't until I was about three quarters through, being peckish, that I discovered that the underside was black in colour, burnt to the extreme!! (we were too busy talking, up until that point, to notice). My wife's sandwiches were ok and our friends rarebits were incredibly bland looking. I didn't complain at the time (wished that I had now) as it was all felt to be a bit embarrassing and we didn't want to make a scene in front of other customers. Would certainly avoid heading there again.... my wife and my meal - two teas, sandwiches and the omelette with the side salads - came to £21.70 I paid by card, no receipt was offered. This was either overpriced or overcharged, not sure which. We left promptly.

We stopped at this Tea Shop as the food looked very nicely prepared and tasty. The jacket potato with cheese and side salad was good and enjoyable. The Herefordshire Welsh Rarebit description on the menu sounded amazing even at £8.45 or £9.95 with salad and chutney. What was served to me was a couple of slices of cheap bread with a “Cheese” topping that did not taste of cheese or the mustard or the cider mentioned on the menu. I was very disappointed and felt a bit cheated. We did mention my disappointment to the gentleman who appeared to be the manager and received a very unsympathetic response, the waitress then put her “ two pence” in telling me they serve 20 Rarebits a day and there has never been a complaint!!!! I was also told I should not have eaten it if I was unhappy. There was absolutely no sympathy or offer of any reduction on the bill. Just remember whilst you think that the Customer is not always right he is still your customer and you need customers!

Looked very attractive, so we went in. Chaos seemed to be reigning and, throughout our stay, there was too much going on between the staff, which detracted from our enjoyment of our tea. Although not that many customers, it took an absolute age for us to order and receive our pot of tea for 2 and 2 small pieces of shortbread. The bill came to over £7, which I thought a bit steep. Most off-putting for us was the man in charge, which I take to be the owner, being rude and bossy to the young waitress. We actually saw her jump at one stage, when he snapped at her.

Stopped here for pot of tea (green tea) and a piece of cake (carrot cake), husband had fruit cake - why we liked it, it looked a quiet place with social distancing and I am not really happy to go into a busy place. Most people sat outside which was fine by me. Everything was done to adhere to Covid 19 restrictions. What made it - the way the tea was served - the china tea service used, very quaint, and traditionally english.

We stopped off in Hereford as travelling from Cardiff to home we asked people best place to have a quick snack someone said try the antique tea shop . Sorry but we wish we found something else Ordered food for myself and wife waited nearly 30 mins ( if fresh that’s great BUT the place only had 4 people in ) when the food turned up oh how we were so disappointed ☹️ Both meals had been mixed up I ordered a ploughman’s lunch with all trimmings (coleslaw pickle , salad dressing) wife ordered a cheese omelet NO salad dressing no coleslaw.Yes this was all mixed up I got no dressing no coleslaw and beetroot? No mention on menus about beetroot hate the bloody stuff ! Wife gets omelet with salad dressing and coleslaw. Gotta admit this was sorted out within 10 mins, they took wife’s meal away to sort But Left me to remove my beetroot witch had bled over the ham and egg plus pickles of which I removed from the plate but not once did anyone say can I change that for you ? Any how I will NEVER return here as for the price well for £28 I could have had a really enjoyable meal somewhere else.

They will make you pay separately for a mouth full salad of carrot and a slice of tomato as additional extra charges which normally comes with a sandwich anywhere else. The jasmine tea I ordered was tasteless dusty and lots of bits dropped in cup. Not impressed at all. You look to pay £20 for two people for a little bite but excluded a slice of cake. If you prepare spend about £30 for two people for a light lunch you would expect lot more.

This tea shop looks attractive enough and was open on Easter Sunday - good. I ordered Herefordshire Rarebit, my partner a cheese and chutney toastie, cakes and drinks. It all came to £27. We paid, then thought about it and asked to see the bill. We had been charged an extra £2.50 for a small portion of salad (that most places give as a complimentary side), £5.00 for 2 very modest squares of hard peanut brittle, £2.50 for a small bottle of sparkling water - all. high prices. If the quality were exceptional this might be ok, but the toasties were made from bog standard packet sliced bread, the cake I had tasted like cheapest supermarket brand... we felt ripped off which left a sour taste.

Went in today, mainly to rest our tired feet, nice quirky little tea shop but we only had 2 hot drinks, coffee seemed a good size but the tea was a tiny teapot equating to about 1 1/2 small teacups, and a selection of cakes and was a little surprised at the £17 bill, if the cakes had been homemade and of a decent size I could understand it, unfortunately this was not the case. Although I can’t comment on the rest of the food the soup seemed very popular so I’m guessing it’s good

I decided to pop into this little quaint looking Tea Shop one very rainy morning whilst being early for an appointment, and what a disappoint this place is! on walking into the place all you see is mis matched furniture, infant mis matched everything, it looked more like a very bad charity shop rather than an Antique Tea Shop!, all the tables had mis matched salt and pepper pots ( I noticed most were of cats) the seating was your basic vintage chairs that housed filthy cushion pads (not a good start) looking around the place it looked like it needed a really good scrub, the ceiling lights were covered in cobwebs, after waiting on someone to serve me (I was the only person in the place) i was asked if I was waiting on someone, which I wasn't, i then ordered a latte and a breakfast toast which you could choose two items off the menu, I chose bacon and sausage, 40 mins later out comes the toastie, it was very disappointing, i took a bite and nearly gagged, bacon brick hard unsmoked (I could swear it was pre cooked and a reheat, and the sausages, omg I have never in my entire life tasted anything as vile as those sausages, they actually made me gag, all I could taste was cheap processed mush and vile old grease that hasn't been changed, for the ridiculous prices they charge, for what you actually get just isn't acceptable, i have never in my life had a toast so bad! AVOID when asked if everything was alright I actually told the woman serving no the sausages were vile , I got no apology nothing think they need to taste the food they are selling at astronomical prices , worst establishment I have ever been in! Ive tasted better sausages out farm foods

The high point after walking round the town is to relax in this lovely cafe.Impecable service, white tablecloths and china cup and saucers.Only managed a cafetiere of coffee for myself and a latte for the other half but both had the homemade carrot cake.Get a window seat and watch the world go by.Lots of pictures on the walls by local artists and they are for sale.Cant see the point of going anywhere else when in town.Who wants to go shopping when you can go here.Yes i know, typical man.

This establishment is situated in the city centre, upon entering you are faced with a pine dresser filled with miss-match china of various vintages. The counter displays an array of home-made cakes, scones etc. Take your seat and you are faced with delicate lace curtains which adorn the windows, upon the table the menu is quite small in content but offers a fairly good range of morning coffee, lunch & afternoon tea selection. The friendly staff give a warm welcome, and take your order, service is welcome, no long waits, if you order tea it comes in Royal Stafford delicate china teapot with matching cups, and a tea strainer, no teabags here. the food is good, and prices reasonable, quite a change from the chain coffee house. Service with a smile, and upon leaving "See you again soon, thanks for calling", how charming, this is how it used to be.

Continue to visit this lovely cafe with white tablecloths,a homely atmosphere, bone china cup and saucers and exceptional and friendly service. They have their own teas and coffees done for them and the food is lovely. From old fashioned tea, scone, jam and clotted cream to baked potatoes, sandwiches, salads and toasties. Also for the posh nosh of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon..Try to get a window table to watch the world go by but the service is quick and efficient so you wont have much time to gaze.

Just popped in for some hot drinks and a scone. The teapot was one where when you put the tea through the strainer the water runs down the spout onto the table, the strainer wasn't fine enough to catch all the tea leaves. Scone pretty average, we'll try another tea shop next time.

We pop in here a lot when in town.Lovely tea shop with white tablecloths. All home cooked food and lovely coffees and teas, some created solely for them.Staff are brilliant and even when it is very busy they cope admirably.Hot food, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, scones, pancakes and cream teas to name but a few.Dearest on the menu only £8.95p which i had today and was the slow cooked hereford beef with onions in a jacket potato with a very large salad and bread and butter.Wife had jacket spud with tuna mayo and salad. It can be very busy as it is so popular in centre of the city, there is outdoor seating in front of the cafe. They do have a toilet for customers use.

A lovely individual one-off place, so nice to visit somewhere a bit different. We had tea and cakes and it was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the decor was full of character.

We found this place while sightseeing in Hereford. Small but very nice. They have a lovely sandwich selection and also do light meals. We just stopped for afternoon tea and were pleasantly surprised. It was nice to sit back outside and watch the world go by.

Just perfect. Every town and village should have one like this. They actually care how you take your tea and coffee. The attention to detail, the ambiance, the food, the location: we loved it all!

On holiday with a friend and visited the café whilst passing through Hereford. What a delightful lunch . Both my friend and I opted for a salad and they were amazing. So fresh and attractively presented. Excellent varied menu with all dishes looking superb as they came out of the kitchen. Everything is homemade and the display of cakes looked very tempting. Very pleasant and attentive staff that made us feel very welcome.. Can highly recommend this this café .

Took advantage of London Midland train ticket so decided on Hereford. Found this teashop and remembered we had been before some years back. Everything is homemade and the cakes are very well displayed. We had a late lunch, homemade pea and mint soup and quiche of the day, which was cheese and tomato, with salad, Meals came quickly and beautifully served. The teashop was spotlessly clean and tables cleared quickly and tables wiped over properly.

We came across this good old fashioned tea room in Hereford City centre by accident. What a find, clean table cloths, great crockery and a wide selection of teas (real tea,not tea bags) and coffees. Freshly home made sandwiches with side salad, baked potatoes, salads, ploughmans, cakes etc. Excellent service with a very warm welcome. Whilst there it became obvious that it was very popular with locals, which I believe speaks volumes for the business. The prices are also very reasonable.

Walk-in at 6.00 on a Saturday evening, as we happened to be in the area and lived the look of the menu. Nobody greeted us, but we asked the lady who appeared to be in charge whether they were serving food that evening. She rolled her eyes. The conversation then went as follows: Her: Have you booked? Us: no, I'm afraid we haven't. Her: Huh. (Rolls eyes again, goes over to the bookings list). It's very quiet, but I don't really want to do any more today. Us:... Her: I suppose I could do 7 o'clock... Us: Don't worry, bye! Her: Huh. No way were we going to give our business to somewhere with such a bad attitude. But it turned out well for us - we ended up at the Lal Bagh Bangladeshi restaurant down the road, and had possibly the best curry we've ever eaten!

First visit to The Railway Inn Dinmore. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. 1 adult had an allergy to a foodstuff, staff were able to advise which meals were suitable - majority of meals, but Chef would accommodate as meals were freshly prepared. Booking advisable. Wait a while for your meal as its freshly prepared but well worth the wait. Good presentation of food, hot, tasty good quality. Off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. Beautiful location and tasteful décor. Will certainly visit again.

Awful service; slow, rude and incompetent don’t bother! There are so many better, faster and competent coffee shops in Hereford.
