Amazing staff . Good food and drinks very busy which shows it’s popular and nice I was just visiting family here but it was my local for the week! Only issue was a bit dirty but staff were working very hard with other stuff. Good seats aswell

The Staff were friendly. The cake's were dry and stale. Luke warm tea and coffee . Never visiting again. Table was dirty. For the price we paid we expected fresh cakes and warm drinks.

Pros: This Coffee 1 has a good service, and good range of coffee drinks, and that is about it. Cons: Drinks very expensive. Simple food massively overpriced. Most cakes are terribly stale. And the whole cafe looks very very shabby, funny smell, music too loud, furniture, floors and decor worn out, to the point that it pricks eyes, needs an urgent refurbishment, and the front door cannnot close easily, leaving customers to never properly close the doors, while people feeling the draft inside. Not very heated in winter. The quality of this place is very poor in comparison to coffee 1 in Cheltenham or Hereford. I will be going to other places, as it is not very pleasant to sit in.

Normally quite good, but felt really sorry for the young server today, apparently short staffed and she was going to have to be on her own today 27/01/24 without any help, drinks being served in plastic cups as probably no one to wash up. A company like Coffee One should have more help for their workers how did she take her breaks and go to the toilet surely this would be against the law, all I can say is well done to this worker

Although to coffee was good, the experience wasn't. As has been mentioned in previous reviews, the loud staff detracted from the otherwise relaxed atmosphere. One member of the team in particular was so loud that everything she uttered could be heard throughout the cafe. She made several personal phone calls whilst behind the counter. Very unprofessional. I wrote to Coffee # 1 HQ to voice my dissatisfaction, but guess what? No reply, two weeks on.

Quite awful, we had two brie and cranberry panini today (6 Dec)which i can honestly say were the worst panini we have ever tasted. The staff taking the order were a total disgrace as they were more interested in loudly talking amongst themselves rather than being welcoming. The tables had not been cleaned as they were sticky representing total lethargy and lack of customer interface. Definitely not a place to recommend.

Coffee and cakes are excellent, but staff are shockingly rude. Did we disturb the lady on her phone.! Sour face and obviously not happy about getting off het chaur to maje the coffee. Staff mixed up order. Not our fault, but argued ! Don't ask for extra milk either. Dreadful behaviour. Avoid at all costs. Most hostile staff in the region!

i could not believe the unprofessional behaviour of the staff. they were stood at the counter having what should have been a private conversation talking extreemly loudly and laughing. theone girl who i assume was the duty manager was so loud i couldnt wait to leave. it wasnt particularly busy, but tables were left uncleared and not wiped while these 3 women were oblivious to everything and everyone else in the building. quite an eye opener.

We meet up here with friends every day because we love the coffee and the atmosphere. But there seems to be a problem with staff shortages lately. Yesterday( Saturday ) there were only two fairly new staff on, Liv and Carlos ( I think ) They did very well with one staff member missing but queues were long, tables needed clearing and dishwasher needed loading. Today ( Sunday) , Brett was on his own. He was calm and cheerful but it was impossible to cope on his own and answer the phone as tried to get help. Very often at weekends, staff don’t turn up for work. This is such a pity and we’re seeing it more and more but you must ask why management and the company don’t do something about it before they lose good local customers.

How difficult is it to heat up a panini? Kept waiting staff too busy talking to realise panini's burnt. Did some more but this time cold in the middle!! Drinks were ok. Won't go there again!

We were greeted by signs that said they were short staffed. Ok, we were in no hurry. The staff of just one, Lucy, was amazing! She was cheerful, helpful and expert at her job. We enjoyed fresh tasty toasties, delicious coffees and a sweet treat. Best Mocha I’ve ever had and I’m hard to please! So congratulations Coffee#1 on a super cafe and wonderful staff!

Very busy but very good service and excellent prices. Would recommend visiting if you’re in the area. This is a good place to meet people.

Dishwasher out of service so paper cups only today. Wish we had seen the sgn on the door before ordering as would have gone elsewhere. What happened to the days of a sink, washing up liquid, cloth and tea towels. Maybe its because it can't be done with a mobile phone. Will not bother to use this place again

Nice coffee and cakes, very fresh. Pity somebody was occupying a table for 4 people, using a laptop, and blocking 2 exits in the process, especially as tables were needed for other customers.

Not impressed. Went in for a snack or light meal but changed our minds and just had coffee - the place seemed dirty and the outside tables (especially) had not been cleaned and there were bits all over the floor inside and out. Had to drink from cardboard cups, even though china mugs and cups were in evidence. This might explain why it was relatively empty in an otherwise busy square at a busy time. Wouldn't go there again.

Great atmosphere and coffee, atmospheric, plenty of snack choice, lots of seating. Nothing else to add!

Leominster has a fair choice of venues and we chose Coffee#1 and found a comfortable and rustic coffee shop. There was good service and prices were reasonable the cakes were delicious 😋 as for the coffee 🤔 was it better than what many other places offer?

Nice place for coffee and cake and getting a takeout my kids love having a drinks too Shame it’s not a bigger place specially with having pushchair

I visited these premises on Saturday 8th October with my family and friends and the very loud young manager talked down to me and basically called me a liar when I double checked a query I had regarding a cake label. She used rude profanities and I heard a blonde Scottish staff member tell her not to swear at a customer! I spoke to the blind lady and asked her if she was the manager , she was polite and stated she was only a new staff member but the lady she had spoken to was infact the manager. God help those girls as she was rude and swearing at regular customers also who were laughing loudly. It was very very busy but I felt that her attitude was not becoming of a manager and I will not be back on these premises when visiting family again . I have told friends and they have said that the girl is a local and always loud and rude. Bad attitude giving a good business a very bad name. She needs to go .

Popped in for coffee seeing as it's now a coffee shop rather than the pub I remember from years ago , rude staff, coffee tasted like dish water and the cake slightly stale so never finished either, would rather have drunk from the local river.

Such a dismal coffee house, very rundown place, including the furniture. The tea was stewed, so quite unpleasant. Service was okay, but though local, we won't return.

Overpriced deluxe hot chocolate was not mixed properly and all hot drinks ordered were lukewarm. The white hot chocolate did not have cream as ordered and paid for, it also tasted very weak and not creamy at all.

Situated in the heart of Leominster, this coffee #1 was perfect for grabbing coffee on the go. The smoothies are very tasty and reasonably priced.

I came in here a few times during my stay in Leominster. The leaf teas served in a pot are really good quality. Sandwiches & cake selection is also excellent. I loved the atmosphere of the old, beamed building & generally friendly & pleasant vibe.

Cosy atmosphere, very comfortable. As it seems to be primarily a coffee-house, it's not surprising that their breakfast choice is a bit limited. As far as I was concerned, it was too early for the lovely looking pastries etc., so I just had tea and toast. The tea was excellent and the toast very nice.

Firstly, lovely gingerbread latte.But, the manager who served me was so rude I was taken back! I ordered my drinks which I specifically asked for takeaway. She failed to pass this information on to the lovely young gentleman that was making the coffee. He brought our drinks to use in sit in mugs which then obviously had to be sent back. She then told the poor young guy off when actually it was because she’d failed to tell him the correct information. She also spoke to him very poorly in front of me and my friend. Whilst the young man was making our drinks she was just stood on her phone!!!!!!!!!!!!! She would have spotted this mistake if she was paying more attention. She gave off a very unpleasant vibe.

Came in to grab a couple of coffees with a friend before we headed home. From the offset, the female staff member who looked to be in charge was rude. My friend ordered us coffees to take away in which she proceeded to huff and puff about because obviously giving her our money was an inconvenience. The very polite young lad who made our coffees bought them over in sit in mugs- we had actually ordered take away. Whilst all of this was happening, the lady was stood behind him on her phone not giving a care in the world. We told the young lad that we ordered take away drinks and he ever so kindly rectified our ordered. As I was waiting for our drinks, the lady come back in and saw him doing our orders again and started muttering under her breath about my friend & I, and of course huffing and puffing away. I understand we all have off days, but to speak & act so blantanly in front of customers like that was such a shock. Hopefully someone has a word & sorts it out because clearly i' m not the first to notice it.

We have not used this chain before and won’t again. The place is decked out with old tables and chairs and was quite grubby. The coffee was awful, the cappuccino more like a cup of Nescafé than proper coffee.

We visited Leominster yesterday and after a carvery lunch we went into town for a walk around. In the Corn Square we spotted the Coffee#1 and headed straight for it. The coffee was served very quickly and it was the best coffee we have had anywhere.

Nice cafe but don't expect to be served in company with your faithful dog because it won't happen. No logic- just good old fashioned prejudice.

Enjoyed a really good cappuccino made expertly by Brett. Very friendly service and good selection of food.

This coffee house can be found right in the market square, the staff there can provide you with a nice cup of coffee as well some hot or cold snacks & all for a very reasonable price.

Wouldn’t normally review a coffee chain but went in for a specific cake Friday for my birthday but they didn’t have it to hand. The staff on duty ( especially the fair haired young man) went above and beyond to get some and let me have it.

Just a quick stop for a coffee. Ordered and paid at cou ter, pleasent day so sat outside (limited seating) our coffees were bought out to us. Friendly staff.

The staff here were friendly and the food and drinks were lovely. We had a baby and pushchair and there was lots of space and good changing facilities.

This establishment can be found in the Town centre & it is a very quaint interesting place. The staff are friendly & can provide you with some good coffee & well as some nice cakes etc, all of which canbe purchased for a very reasonable price.

I drink here on a daily basis, many days visiting up to three times a day. The efficiency and friendliness of the staff, the quality of the products and the general ambience in the building is simply second to none. I cannot rate the levels of customer service any higher as it is consistently and continually faultless.

I love it here. Staff and manager really friendly. The team are very hard working, enjoy their job and very honest. Don't know names but manager is lovely, three young guys ...one with beard, one with fair hair and dark haired with longer hair and petite lady with dark hair in poney tail...all diamonds, as well as other staff that are there.

It was ok and i knew the coffee would be on the strong side.Some cakes were reduced due to time of day i guess,and they were truly lovely.Daily papers on offer and very pleasant female member of staff (wed pm) so all in all a nice visit,but i do find the town a bit strange.

I including several family members and friends often visit coffee one lovely place, coffees and cakes to die for. As for the manager she seriously needs to change her attitude absolutely vile, no customer service skills whatsoever.

I popped in with a friend to catch up on a Sunday morning. I had a smoothie which was delicious and a breakfast burrito (wasn’t great but was just fine) and she had a coffee and a Welsh cake which had to be swapped because a corner was missing and look like a bite had been taken out of it! Staff were obliging.

We have long enjoyed Coffee#1 in Newbury Berkshire so when we wanted some lunch in Leominster and spotted the Corn Square branch we dropped in knowing what would be on offer. The sign outside advertising ‘new’ offerings was also an attraction because we could order more than the usual sandwich and cakes selections. My wife ordered their Curry and I ordered a Mushroom Risotto. My wife got the better end of the deal as she enjoyed her meal but I found the Risotto was an almost tasteless ‘mush’ that I will certainly not be ordering again.

Great coffee and service. Cleaner than rival coffee chains. As with all coffee chains, very expensive, but atmosphere and quality makes it. Recommended.

It was my first visit to Leominster 31/12/18, my car was being MOT'ed so I wandered round the town and came across a lovely looking coffee shop, in a period building on the town square. A perfect way to while away and hour.

We stopped here for a late lunch and drinks just before Christmas. The service was excellent, the prices a little steep but I suppose they are in any establishment of this type. We had a regular cappuccino and hot chocolate which were both very good and two panini’s which came to £16.

This cafe is right in the centre of the town square, it is full of character, with an abundance of exposed oak beams, they can provide you with some great coffee & tasty cakes etc well worth a visit.

The Eastern flatbread was "filled" with a small amount of grated carrot and cost £4-95. Rubbish. Avoid.

Would like to have given a five star rating as the coffee is of excellent quality and staff, on the whole, are good. However i have marked it down one star as tables do need clearing and cleaning.

The coffee here is very good, also a reasonably good selection of cakes. It is located in a central part of town and accessible for wheel chair users. There are 2 entrances which again makes it more accessible. It can get very busy ... so rather a long wait in queue to be served. It is very cosy as there are lots of comfy chairs to sit on round the table..

Looking for somewhere to have a quick snack to avoid a diabetic hypo. We chanced upon this delightful coffee shop. Set in a very old building, furnished tastefully with quirky quotes on the wall. The young staff were friendly and efficient. We were promptly served. The snacks were delicious and did the job. Will definitely visit if in the area again.

We went to Leominster on a Friday morning, as it was market day & this is a great little market. After shopping we fancied a nice cup of coffee & a snack, so went into this cafe as it is right opposite the market.The staff there are lovely & the place has an old world charm, with plenty of oak beams to boot ! This place is well worth a visit.

As an ex member of staff it pains me to be writing a less than favourable review. This coffee shop used to be spot on. Excellent coffee, friendly staff, clean environment, largely tip top. There has been many changes of on site staff and management since it's opening in 2013 and has gone through a couple of dips, but none as low as it now is. I will address the staff issues first. Unfriendly, unenthusiastic, no sense of urgency and sadly sometimes down right rude. The shop is never "ready" for opening on time, chairs still on tables, outside tables not out on time, counter front products not out or still being put out after opening. The overall cleanliness of the shop is poor at best, dirty at worst. The cake fridge is disappointing compared to in the past, never fully stocked, mostly almost empty. The state of the interior is shabby and definitely needs to be redone. The condiments stand is always in a mess, and rarely full, and water glasses if there are dirty. Tables are constantly left for very long periods of time with the last customer items still on, even to the extent of still being there when the next people have finished. How on earth can you deliver things to a table and walk away without clearing the previous customers items?? Lastly, and more worrying for me as a coffee freak, is that the quality of the coffee has deteriorated. Whether this is due to a change of product or the actual in store production I don't know, but I suspect it is a bit of both. I used to be a regular customer, 3/4/5 times a week, now I probably only visit once or twice a month. Things really need to be addressed and quickly.

There are now coffee shops everywhere but on a wet and miserable midweek day in Leominster this proved a haven of warmth and welcome. Friendly welcome, nice coffee and a good selection of snacks and sweet things to eat! The building has an interesting history too as you will see written on a wall in a quiet corner of the shop.....watch out though for the steep step inside the shop as you approach the counter!!

Regularly visit this coffee house, excellent coffee, and always a choice of excellent gluten free cakes. This branch of coffee#1 does not do meals. Great atmosphere, style, and service.

Service brilliant, choices brilliant and relaxing place to be. Very comfortable to sit and read, even alone.

Good quality coffees by baristas who seem to know a bit about their job, with a choice of seasonal blends. Part of a national franchise. If you like pastéis de nata (Portuguese egg-yolk custard tarts), the ones they have here are the real deal and well worth trying, albeit at 3 or 4 times the Portuguese price of course! They don't have much else to eat though, it is really only coffee and croissants, and baguettes if they haven't run out.

So we popped into Coffee#1 on the recommendation of a shop owner in the town , we planned to sit in and there were 3 empty tables , well I say empty , I mean empty of people but not of dirty cups, plates , glasses and general detritus left by others , so decided to get a take out . I asked the person behind the counter if they did take away coffees , this is normally responded to with “ yes , what would you like” however the lady behind the counter just said”What kind of coffee?”

We are regular visitors to Leominster and when there always visit our favourite coffee shop, Coffee#1. The drinks and snacks are excellent, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing.

We visited for a quick cuppa plus a small nibble to go with our coffees.

Well this was fun. Firstly my girlfriend and I were served by a thoroughly miserable server who seemed to regard us as an almighty nuisance. Then we were brought our tea. I say brought...slammed on the table is a more accurate description. Not very close inspection then revealed disgustingly dirty cups which were covered in stains. In fairness this was remedied fairly quickly though not with much apology. Finally the orange and almond cake was rather nondescript. All in all...not great.

If you have been shopping in Leominster & fancy a break for refreshments then why not make your way to the Corn Square where you will find this coffee shop. The staff there are very pleasant, there is plenty of room inside, they can provide you with some nice coffee & some very tasty snacks & cakes & all for a very reasonable price.

Nice buzz, the chain chic works well in the old building. Coffee was a bit tart, but service was quick and there was a nice buzz.

Had tea and teacakes. The tea was ok but no extra water. The teacakes were huge and great with plenty of butter. We asked for extra butter instead of jam! We also shared a pain au raisin which was fresh. While other cafes near by were empty this one was nearly full. We will drop in again. Cost about £8 for two including a glass of milk.
