Kams Fish And Chips in Bracknell Forest

My partner came in tonight for fish and chips and mushy peas and when he got home we both was so pleased with the portion size that we both had a peace of fish each and shared the chips i of course eat all the mushy peas as they was lovely thank you so my kams for your great meal you done us tonight we was both very happy!! ;)

Kams is a shams!! Such awful service and business. Every time we've tried to order, especially online the delivery has been ridiculous. 3 1/2 hours yesterday to deliver and that was with two phone calls asking where it is. The lady who answered my call hung up on me twice. We had two very hungry and upset children. I ended up turning the delivery away as it was too late and we ordered something else. Kams should not have an online ordering service, they clearly can’t keep up with the system. We won’t ever be ordering from here again

This is the worst takeaway I have ever been to, its absolute chaos in here! We placed an online order for about £45 and went to pick it up after about half hour thinking this would be plenty of time for them to prep and pack it up for us to collect, we'll when we got there we were told the order was lost, and after a while waiting they found it. We then waited an hour! While loads of people came and went with their orders. After an hour we were handed our food only to discover there was a third of it missing! So we then had to wait 30 - 40 mins more whilst it was done, but they never got on and sorted it out straight away for us as they were too busy serving others. They messed up a lot more orders too and even had to run after someone to swap a wrong order. There was plenty of arguing and shouting going on amongst the staff and tempers getting high. I will never go back here again for anything! I think they'll lose a lot of customers as the service is appaling! These people have no idea how to run a business! Avoid, avoid, avoid!! I wouldn't have given it any stars in the ratings but had to fill in one!

28th January 2023 19.00 bought fish and chips and mushy peas for me and my wife the mushy peas was full of water to bulk out the peas and the cod was 🔥 burnt and removing the batter left a very small piece of fish so Saturday experience was very disappointing visit bad service

Just visited Kams for our annual Christmas Eve Chinese meal which over the past years has been excellent. However, clearly under new ownership and taking in more orders than they can cope with. Total chaos, giving food to the wrong people. After 1 hour and 40 minutes of waiting and being offered the wrong order we demanded our money back and cancelled our order. Will never return to Kams again!

Plaice was inedible, oil was clearly not hot enough and poached rather than fried. I pushed my fork onto the soggy batter & fat ran across the plate. Even the spatula I used to plate up was congealed with fat afterwards. Disgusting. We got takeaways from here once every month and it used to be great. Not sure what has happened, but safe to say we won’t be returning. If the owners want to dispute this, I have photos of the levels of fat soaked ‘food’. I knew unwrapping my fish it was going to be rubbish, so clearly the person who wrapped it also knew that & didn’t care. Why wait for freshly fried if they can’t fry it properly or be bothered to get the oil to temperature. It’s not rocket science. Interesting to learn about the 3 star hygiene rating too, it’s not hard to get 5, just requires giving more care and attention.

Purchased four "All in one container " meals for the guys in the office. Beef Chop Suey was tasteless. Had no mushrooms in the dish, when you order Chicken with Mushrooms , you expect to get mushrooms. Spoke to lady, who said that we ordered something different and she repeated the order...yes she did, but the chef didn't get the right order. All dishes were very salty. This is the second time we've had issues, its always the customers fault never theirs...

Great food, delivery was slow but it was a Saturday. However the driver apologised for the delay and explained they were very busy. Definitely use again

I ordered my food for delivery & the female delivery driver was so unbelievably rude & snappy for no reason! I live in flat & she called me saying she can’t park so I have to go outside & get my meal. She claimed there was a traffic warden standing next to her car telling her to go so I need to go down now (there are never traffic wardens around my area at 6.30pm on a sat night) this warden just happened to have walked away by the time I got downstairs! Her exact words on the phone were ‘you need to come get your food…if you don’t want it I’ll take it back but I’m not waiting’. I have a 5 week old baby at home & it was just me there with her so I had to drag her downstairs & outside in the windy weather because this lady was too lazy to get out the car & bring it in. She was so snappy & rude I was shocked!!

Good fish and chips and Chinese take away at reasonable prices. They run a sequence in the order sequence but I know this gets mixed up based on placing orders with friends.

Best chips in Bracknell, Yateley, sandhurst, or Camberly this is one amazing place, best chips and a Chinese amazing food!

Used this shop for years for Fish and chips plus Chinese takeaway. Though yesterday had the worst experience ever that really showed what they think of their customers. Pre ordered ahead of time on New Year’s Eve for a special lock down meal at home with the family that was spoilt. Order using their recently introduced on line ordering application at about 3pm for 7pm collection for a £45 order which was confirmed as received. Then to our surprise we received a call just before 7pm saying our order had been waiting since 5.30pm as requested. To our surprise we said we had requested 7pm but they came up with a lame excuse that we had phoned to bring it forward which we did not make. Well they only open at 5pm so I believe they took no notice of the time indicated. I got to the shop at 7pm and complained that we had not changed the time and that we wanted fresh food and not the reheated. They refused as they said it was steam hot still and only revoked the sea weed. As they had our pre paid money we were in a weak position to argue. They said once we got home if it was not fresh to come back and join the back of the queue. Not very satisfactory service. We went home and opened up the containers to find as expected - dried up expensive duck- cold pan cakes, rice all stick and stuck together, dried up sauces etc. The only reasonable items was the chicken balls. So do not pre order ahead just order for immediate pick up as the food is normally ok but very disappointed with the service on this occasion. 🤮🤮🤮

Never had an issue with kams until tonight. Food was ordered at 5.05pm via website, told it’ll arrive at 5.50pm, called at 6.10pm, was told it was being dished up & arrive soon. Called again at 7.20pm to be told the same thing. Called again at 7.50pm to be told the same thing!! Food finally arrived at 8.10pm...3 hours after being ordered & 2 hours after estimated arrival time. Terrible customer service on the phone, rude manner towards me, no reassurance, no resolutions, no help offered. Very disappointed.

I placed a collection order for Cod and Chips its the simplest order anyone can make.Upon getting home, and, I found I had mistakingly received Haddock and Chips.I called the store, and had to relay my store 3 times.My 3rd trywtry met with that I was wrong and there was no way they had made a mistake.On top of the accusatory tone, the sheer attitude I got was even more humiliating, and dare I say concerning. Whilst I was mid-sentence the person ended my call.As such this will be my final order with Kams, since getting the food order wrong is not an issue. But making me feel stupid, and making me feel that I am wrong for calling them to report it, or worse still to make me out to be the liar, is something I truly do not appreciate.As such, I recommend all patrons to double check your orders because if Kams makes a mistake, then sadly that will in actual fact be your fault, not theirs.7/10 for Food usually8/10 for Store cleanliness9/10 for Ordering of food1/10 for Cust Service1/10 for Cust satisfaction

me and my partner have been to kams fish & chips many times before without any issues until tonight usually the fish is cooked to order and we have to wait for the fish but not to night it was pre cooked half the size of normal fish and disgusting kams have let there takeaway standards drop its fair to day we will not be going back any time soon and allso the shop is normally packed with customers not to night this is probably why people know you are going to get a raw deal look before you buying John

We tried this takeaway fish & chips/Oriental dishes outfit for the first time recently and were impressed by the quality and flavour of the crispy duck and Singapore noodles we ordered. Return is guaranteed.

Fancied something quick so called in and had spare ribs, special fried rice and sweet and sour pork balls. All ok nothing special but by no means the worst I have tasted. Good value though and a free packet of prawn crackers.

The food here always tastes fresh with not too much added, whether it be fish and chips or Chinese. Service is always with a smile and usually get free prawn crackers and bottle of drink. Takeaway only.

Lovely chow mein , the best chinese food in the area, we are new to the area and tryed a few but this is the best by far... keep up the good work kams ... mr and mrs stroud , woodhurst park, warfield.

We are new to warfield and love chinese food we tried 2 before here and they were rubbish , chicken chow mein from here is the best we have ever tasted ... KAMS IS THE BEST FOOD IN WARFIELD .. MR AND MRS STROUD OF WARFIELD

Serve both traditional chips shop menu plus Chinese take away. Reasonable prices, good quality and service. Parking for about 22 cars and kerb side parking. Would recommend.

Good service and food based on the number of people who visit from the area. Good reasonably priced chippy menu and Chinese takeaway. Friendly service, quick and efficient. Shared parking outside and located a few doors from the Indian restaurant - Kohi Nor which allows us to mix and match for the family when everyone wants something different

Situado en la tiendas Contingently sacerdote de madera. Una docena o así plazas de aparcamiento pero no se estrecha en las horas pico como los espacios cubren varias tiendas. Buen servicio amigo y muy eficiente. Nos gusta el lado bot del menú y es bueno si estás intentando satisfacer a todo el mundo en la familia. A un precio razonable y buenas porciones. Kams is really a good Chinese takeaway that isn't very good at fish and chips. We use Kams regularly for Chinese food and have never had a complaint - we wouldn't keep coming back if we did! If you want good fish and chips, go...

waited for 11mins for just chips was abit of a que but nothing major. slightly overpriced for quality of food. chips tasted good however id go to harmamswater fish n chips 10mim drive away

A lovely chow mein from here. Kids and adults enjoyed their meals. Short queue, good customer service. And just found out you can now pay to have your order delivered. Will definitely be using this service.

Had chips and savaloy and partner had fish and chips, the chips were old and soaked in fat! And cold! The savaloy wasn't bad, and the fish was ok. Maybe more oil changes needed, a shame really as the rest of the food was ok

It's very rare for me to post a negative review ...instead usually resorting to never use the service again. This time I was compelled to post my poor experience. Family decided on Fish and Chips so we popped into Kam's. There was a queue which was encouraging however the food received was dire. It tasted and looked like it had been "cooked" in year old oil. The chips were a dark brown colour as was the batter of which there was more than actual fish. Will not be going back.

The most AMAZING chips in Bracknell. Very accommodating chippie, willing to create any combination with chips that you request, very generous portions.

If you want traditional fish and chips then don't bother, oil was not hot enough as fish was dripping in fat, chips very dry
