Talk about real gem you have to try it to believe it and I’m a fussy eater as I have had my own restaurants in the past and I know every corner that gets cut but these guys here no corner cut food was better then I’ve had in high end restaurants claims to be great this place deserves it’s acknowledgment try it to believe it . A lot of options, the lamb is delicious, the service is great! We had the hummus, chicken rice and grilled lamb. Went on Valentine Day, no reservation, it was full but the owner gave us his table!

Great decorum, really encompassing the cuisine which it represents. Staff was good and helpful, the kitchen being in close proximity to the dining area is indeed a good idea and it brings everything together. Food was amazing, well priced, the Lebanese mint tea certainly was a great choice for a hot drink, the china which comes along with it further reinforce the Middle Eastern roots of the restaurant. Overall, a great establishment.

After a 1 hour wait, a shawarma box of microwaved salad, soggy chips and chewy meat. You just lost yourself a regular customer.

Kambis has gone down hill! Ordered via Uber and was missing part of my order and the Ful was swimming in oil.. cold and the one wrap that did arrive had hardly any salad or lamb in it! I use to be a neighbour of there’s and use to eat there at least twice a month, I am shocked by their decline in standards! Will not be ordering anything from them again.. you have lost a valued regular customer! Not impressed!

Kambi’s was such an authentic experience. Most of the common eateries in the UK carry a taste palate to suit the locals however sometimes you are looking for that authentic experience where the taste is able to transport you to that place in ur head. Kambi’s is one such place. Being a vegetarian I got a plethora of options to choose from. Vegetarian Shawarma rolls, falafels and there was a dish with pita bread infused with halloumi inside which was heavenly. 5/5 on food; just a thing though that I felt that salt was a lil high for me. Usually I don’t expect much from service these days as its usually temporary staffing whose not much aware of the dishes and the culinary experience however here the service was great but could improve an inch. Overall, Recommended for sure!

I worked in Dubai for 10 years. So I was excited to learn that there is a Lebanese restaurant here in Brighton and Hove. We ordered chicken shawarma because I really miss it. It was kind of disappointing. I was expecting a shawarma full of flavor. It was bland. Toum is bland.

Staff is always really friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The rest is not just good, it's superb. Best falafel wrap in Brighton. Really good sis and shawarma too! Has to be the yummiest wraps I've had in all of England. And as dot over the i, the bread they make is at a whole other level.

We ordered shawarma plate and the chicken was so dry 💀. The restaurant is always buzzing so I expected the food to be fresh and tasty but It was the opposite. Don't go to this place. There's another restaurant on the same road called 'Almoosh' which is 100x better. Kambis is pathetic

المطعم بطابع واجواء عربية، الاكل جداً لذيذ وخاصة الكبسة سواء لحم ام دجاج والمشاوي من الاخر وخاصة اوصال اللحم.

My vegan Mousaka was slop in a bowl! They didn't replace any non vegan ingredients, they simply took them out. It basically consisted of a bowl of tomatoes, aubergine and pepper, not exactly a mousaka. Dreadful. Service was good

I would eat Kambis every day if I could afford to. Exceptionally tasty food, plenty of choice for vegetarians and top service. If you’ve not been already, what are you waiting for?

Rather ordinary food with some odd touches eg the veggie moussaka only comprised a tomato and aubergine sauce. Where were the potatoes and bechamel topping? Weird. It wasn't bad just far from what I expected. Maybe the menu was better for meat eaters and certainly the place was busy for a Monday evening.

Had dinner with family. Had a warm welcome. Ordered loads of food to share between us. The portion sizes were great. Food was hot and delicious. We had Hummus, baba ghanouj, tabouleh, batata harra, fatayer, grilled halloumi, lamb bamieh, lamb kabsa and the shawarma plate with breads and was cooked to perfection. Had mint tea too. They staff were kind , helpful and polite too. Highly recommend

We ordered takeaway through Deliveroo and it was awful. Dry meat, rubbery halloumi, sugary moussaka, tasteless salad. There was nothing about the meal that was anywhere near acceptable and it was expensive. Avoid!

Absolutely delicious meal. The lamb shank was so tender it fell off the bone. Excellent food. I can recommend this place to everyone.

Decided to give this place another try since my last experience a year wasn’t that great. The food was nice, the meats were flavoursome but the salads needed some seasoning. Rice was nice but the flat breads needed some warming up as they were hard and cold. The place was absolutely packed due to a big birthday party plus the normal guests. We had the Kambis platter, the meze platter and 3 soft drinks and we spent £28.60 each.

Really tasty food at reasonable prices. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Amazing vegan options that aren't too spicy, perfect for me! We've eaten here twice and highly recommend it.

Visited at 1pm, not too busy, falafel was wonderful, fresh and crispy, kebbeh was great, foul was just like my family made

I went for lunch on a rainy afternoon. I had a vegetable mezze platter. It was so adequate for two people and they had the best falafels that I ever tasted. We ordered another chicken main meal, but we had to pack it for takeaway. And that tasted really good too. I would definitely revisit this place, if I happen to dine in Brighton.

For family reasons, I have had to wait for over 5 years to dine at Kambi's. I was praying it still existed after all this time, because it is my all-time favourite place to eat. There is no self-aggrandisement here. It is plain and simple, but everything is just perfect. The fabulous food is cooked in front of house, and served piping hot. The chefs are brilliant and charming. I just love it.

lovely little restaurant. the food and service was great. we had a new server who was struggling to find things on their device but she was lovely and apologised for the wait. the food came quickly and was delicious, but very large portions! well priced for the amount of food we got, would definitely come back.

Good and tasty food …but the price is bit high For this same quality and taste the other restaurant will charge £9 but extremelyyyyyyyy poor customer service I will rate 0 Looks like she don’t want to treat the Asian well it seems . Came for dinner with some old work colleagues , we had the vegetarian Meze, it was very tasty especially the vine leaves, we also had some grilled halloumi, Lovely wine and great service

We had to take away as our fav restaurant, Sahara (next door), was closed. We were charged almost £18.00 for a lamb Sharwarma & Falafel (£5.50). What was clear was that we ordered 1 portion of lamb (£7.50 in d menu) in a plastic box as he suggested. I thought takeaway was much cheaper than dining in... There is no clear difference in pricing between dine in & and takeaway. Be vigilant. Disappointing. TBH, it was a bland sharwarma & falafel was dense. Picture attached for your perusal. We'll be back to try their dine-in service. Let's see.

Just narrowly avoided food poisoning (and I’m breast feeding….) the last 2 times we ordered it took 1.5 hours to make 2 wraps and 2 lots of wings…. And both time the orders got lost on route. This time we reordered and this is what arrived. Wet, sloppy raw chicken in our mixed wraps. Will never ever order from them again.

Saturday lunchtime. Iphone flat but offered the use of charger straight away. Beers good, well kept, food great and good value. Beer battered Fish and chips crisp and moist with a nice fresh salad, burger huge and beautifully cooked, fish cakes from the blackboard very tasty. Family friendly and a good local. Toilets could do with some tlc and this is coming with a refurb being planned but minor downside and a visit highly recommended.

This was a place where the staff worked incredibly hard and the food was nice but the organisation was all over the place, thank to overbooking from the "HUB" and two of the main ales were out within an hour of opening, which was difficult as a lot of people came to enjoy ale.

I loved everything about this place its halal, great customer service, delicious big potion food, but just be aware they sell alcohol as well, so its fully halal.

Best Lebanese I’ve had. Can’t go wrong with a shawarma here. A must go place for lunch or dinner when in Brighton.
