Bohemia in Brighton and Hove

Had Joe do a cocktail class for my Hen and I must say he was amazing, Girls book your hen here and ask for Joe, he’s amazing you won’t be disappointed!!

Great selection of cocktails. Cool atmosphere.

Went there for lunch and ordered the cheese and bacon burger. Got sat in a tiny corner table with not enough space to breathe. Drinks were fine, however my burger was dry, burnt on the outside and rare on the inside and tasted of pure coal. The sweet potato fries came out all stuck together and cold. I also asked the waitress for no pickles in my burger, but my burger still came with pickles in. The service was very slow, despite us being the only people inside. We asked the waitress for the bill after her walking past us multiple times completely ignoring us. It then took her 10 minutes to bring the bill over as she was just talking to the man inside the bar instead. Such a shame as I was excited to try.

Lovely food, service and decor. Quiet when we went (weekday lunchtime) food came quickly and all the small plates we chose were very good, waiter was funny and attentive but gave us space and we didn't feel rushed at all. Cocktails were lush. Would definitely visit again

I love this pub cocktail bar. 🍸 I have not been for several years. It still has the same professional experience AND although no one at the bar. (It was early pm) there were plenty of people outside.

Really good. I recommend the Bolognese Spagetti made by an Italian sheff. The place has a nice vibe and a it's definitely fancy.

Did not eat, so I cannot comment. Only had one cocktail each. I'm not impressed, I had a Rock & Roll cocktail l have no words to describe it. The Jekyll & Hyde cocktails were impressive, though.

Popped in just for a couple of drinks with old colleagues, lovely friendly staff and cosy surroundings.

Fab cocktails & the best Expresso Martini! Friendly staff & a great atmosphere.

We popped it for what can only be described as spectacular cocktails. The Epresso Martini's we ordered came in bowls of (I assume) dry ice which gave it a very theatrical appearance. The food is also meant to be very good, so we'll have to try that next time we're in Brighton.

Last time we visited was pre covid in 2019!! To the month. We were not disappointed (other than the weather). Staff were lovely, food was lovely. Our only disappointment was the Burrata which was very small for the price… like, verrry small… and looked like a ball of mozzarella that had been cut in half and served rather than a full sized ball of Burrata with a gooey middle (not evident at all which makes me question that it was even Burrata)

We booked a table at Bohemia last night as we were coming to watch the Shine On band and wanted to be able to eat/drink whilst listening to the band. We ordered a selection of small dishes and a huge shared cheese/cold meats platter. The food was delicious; the service was friendly, attentive and polite; the ambiance was warm and fun. Shine On were superb, brilliant musicians who performed a wide range of well known songs. We’ll definitely be back, especially if Shine On are playing.

such an amazing space to be in. Our waiter was such a lovely man and did such an amazing job, he gave us the best seat in the establishment too! I hope he had a very good rest after the shift! we went on a Wednesday valentines and it was a little busy but the service was still quick and amazing. For cocktails they have a largeee variety and i had the Apple pie which was so stunning, nice and sweet but not at all too sickly just right, my partner had the French75 which wasn't to my personal taste but he loved, it was slightly zesty and tasted lemony but had a strong finish. We tried the Love Potion too which was a valentines special i believe and as much as i wanted to love it, it was veryyy much too sweet but still lovely! the rest of the night i had classic mojitos which were absolutely perfect! for food i had the spaghetti and my partner had the fish and chips and they were both amazing and very lovely portions. they had a valentines menu however it wasn't as intriguing as the regular a la carte menu! we also ordered the meat charcuterie board with cheese, absolutely delectable loved every single bite! We also had an extra side of chips, again for something so simple it was to die for! the dessert was the topper of the evening, a smoking tiramisu, our waiter showed us how it worked, dry ice in a small bowl with poured water onto it and the smoke bubbled out so stunningly, the dessert in a triangular bowl was placed on top. the tiramisu itself was the best dessert I have ever had, to this day I cannot stop thinking about it! so lush and creamy and just absolutely delicious!! I had the best evening, once our bill arrived they had put 2 mints in there for me and my partner and brought a rose for us for the occasion!! i hope to come back soon. such a lovely environment with the best staff!!

on 27/08/2023, around 11:20 pm. My friend and I tried to enter the Bohemia bar, the first reaction of the bar owners (security) was to say no…. I wanted to understand what was the reason that led him to say no. They said that we were waaaay so drunk... while we were talking people came and left the place, but they didn't even give them a glance. I asked them to speak to the manager, but our request was denied, they claimed once again that we couldn't enter. I started recording with my cell phone and then the security guards got angry, angrier and angrier... until they broke my cell phone and even attacked me, trying to hold me down as if I were a criminal. I'm sure this was all due to xenophobia, since when they asked my friend for the document, she didn't know how to talk to them. the other day I had marks on my body and my friend was traumatized by the situation. please watch the cameras. If it wasn't for a client, who calmed us down and talked to us at that point I don’t know what would happen, the result would perhaps have been worse. Until when will you hand over all the power of your place to people with no psychological preparation to treat their consumers well?? These people who have no power anywhere use your establishment as a base for their fury and power… which will lead to more cases like mine. check out the security cameras :)

Very happy with the service. All thorough and good came out very quickly. Enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was brillant. Would be coming again for sure!

Fantastic service, friendly waitstaff and a gorgeous atmosphere. Perfect valentines meal, the cocktails are a must try. Food was ever so slightly bland, but salt at the table to aid. Rose at the end was a beautiful touch!

Great cocktail presentation, lots of fanfare which is fun. Only popped in for one but we were impressed. We didn’t try the food.

Had a lovely anniversary dinner here. Cocktails and food were excellent. A lovely atmosphere. Our Polish waitress was so charming . Thank you for the two glasses of bubbly to help us celebrate. We will definitely return xx.

Enjoyed a brilliant cocktail masterclass for my friend's birthday. Made three fab cocktails under the expert eye of our cocktail maestro Paul. He made sure the evening was fun - the mojito-making races were a particular highlight. I'd highly recommend this for a small group

I love this place - I've been coming here since 2017! Always friendly and a good night out... However, after the way I was spoken to by a staff member today (it advised Jade on the receipt) I will never return to this establishment, which is a real shame all round. My friend and I ordered some coffee, snacks and other drinks which were satisfactory and on coming to pay, we got the receipt, I paid for mine and there was a balance, plus service charge remaining which my friend owed. Jade said the value of the difference for my friend to pay and I said, no it's X amount as we're not paying the service charge, I was screeched at saying "you should have said this before I printed the receipt" (my thoughts were I didn't think service charge applies to a party of 2) then I was questioned why we're not paying it and I said I don't believe in it, and again I was screeched at saying "well I think it's very important" to which I replied"right" as by that point I was dumbfounded how I was being spoken to. 2 unhappy ex-customers.

We went for an early dinner then stayed for the band Amuse Manouche. The service and food were all excellent. We LOVED the music after and were entertained by the skills of the batista making cocktails. Great evening 😃

I had an incredible experience at your establishment. After a long and tiring day at work, Gerson managed to uplift my spirits and make me feel welcomed. Not only did he create amazing drinks, but his friendly and cheerful demeanor truly made my evening. His outstanding service and ability to brighten my day are commendable. OMG shockingly bad. the blond and the dark one with heavy eye make up are just rude in your face and they dont care. even when they knew i was disabled they told me i should have entered by the main door and fought my way through the crowds to get a drink. ive been in bars around the world and this is the worst by far

We meet there to have a Christmas drink and Gerson made as feel very welcome and he did an amazing performance for our cocktails. Very cool! We are definitely coming back! Thank you Gerson! 🥂

If you in and about the lanes, eat here. I love mussels but not garlic. Chef made a chille sauce with mussels, it was fantastic. The staff are friendly, chatty and make you feel welcome. Thursday nights they have live jazz.

Once a month with my partner I am happy to go for a drink to Bohemia; It is a very nice bar in the south lanes of Brighton and Gershiño makes beautiful service and a stunning cocktails Fabio e Agnieszka

Great atmosphere but extremely poor service and very over priced food. Waiting 25mins for 2beers, ended up leaving before they were brought out - despite chasing. Food was pretty bland and for the price, poor.

Me and the girls have done a cocktail making experience honestly it was the most funnest thing ever, the bartender Paul was a good laugh and a good competition, definitely would do it again absolutely worth the money

Fantastic evening, 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed the Cocktail Masterclass being educated and well entertaind by Paul. We then had an excellent meal, and prepared perfectly, being perfectly timed to arrive at the same time. We were then well looked after by Jade our server for the rest of the evening, who ensured we had everything we wanted and were having a good time. Our thanks to Paul, Jade and everyone at Bohemia, thanks to you Paulo for organising my Birthday celebration. Everything perfect as always, thanks again Kevin and the Gang.

First time and although very dark, photos and stuff there was excellent, well liked menu choices and all good with the service there, many thanks to Jade 😁 who was there to serve and look after while in this location she was brilliant 😉, quiet compared to summer time, but winter time also great for what was had here. Would definitely come back one day next winter season.

We have been coming here regularly for a long time and whenever visiting Brighton have to come here. The cocktails are master pieces and those with dry ice a whole performance! The service is amazing, you are made to feel special. The food is excellent...

Just popped in for a cocktail. Very quiet but it was a Tuesday night. The man behind the bar was very attentive, welcoming, and made some great cocktails. We just felt that the cocktails were a little on the expensive side and smaller than average compared to other places in Brighton, thus dropping down to a four star.

Nice upmarket cocktail bar in Brighton. Service was a little slow but it was a busy Saturday night so this is to be expected. Good selection of cocktails, mostly original or spins on classics. Around £12/13 each. Nice interior. DJ on the night we were there. Noticed there is a 25+ policy after 9pm. Not sure if that was just Saturday or every night so do check if you are under that age or with others who are.

Popped in for late lunch service was spot on and the food incredible and really good vibe inside highly recommend

Had a Sunday Roast here with a few cocktails. The roast is no more expensive than anywhere else, it tasted lovely but was a little cold. I put this down to the roast being stacked up like a burger lol, why do chefs do this, it's a roast 🤣. The cocktails were nice and the team lovely. I would def eat here again.

I think some of the cocktails were more showy than good quality and there is definitely work to be done here on matching the taste with the (admittedly 5-star) presentation of their drinks. Bar staff were excellent otherwise - quick, attentive, and friendly. Would definitely return.

Good venue with live music, drinks and food. We sat upstairs and the service we received from Jade was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and she had a great friendly personality.

The 3 chicken skewer shared platter seemed quite small to share but it did taste nice. The other 2 dishes from the tapas menu were far better in portions. Our waitress was excellent and the staff very attentive. The highlights of the night were the tiramisu and the live band.

This is not a cheap place to visit, but I loved it. Great fun 5 the decor is fab.

What a wonderful place with excellent staff. The bar men were on point with serving people in order although it was busy. What I really liked other than the decor was the bouncers. I never got his name, he had some lovely ink around his neck though and he was on the front door. When we were there on Saturday the 7th of October a drunk man came over and wouldn’t leave our group alone, straight away the bouncer came to check on us and asked if we were ok, we were but it was nice to know someone was watching our backs. He kept an eye on the man until he eventually left. For our first time in Brighton I felt safe, will definitely Bohemia visit next time I visit, can highly recommend

What a great find. Drinks are great, atmosphere is special- they even have a magician entertaining guests, whilst drinking, which made it even more special.
