If you want to eat awful and not healthy than best you camp in. Food is cold, staff are rude and faces like they don't wanna be there. Short woman was very rude and you could hear them shouting out the back. Some man who appeared to be friends with them messing around outside. This isn't what i like to see when eating out. HUGE let down girls. They need to be more polite and have a better manner and not shout so much!!!

I visited Jules Kitchen (with a friend) on Saturday afternoon (February 15th), in between two visits to Urban Clay (also on Red Lion Street, Aylsham), I enjoyed two Sausages and Chips, my friend enjoyed Jacket Potato, Cheese and Beans, with Salad, me and my friend, also enjoyed a cup of Tea, each, my friend (a Dog lover), was very happy, when three customers, came into Jules Kitchen, with a Dog, my friend made a fuss of the Dog, I also gave the Dog, three small pieces of Sausage, I enjoyed reading some of the quotes, which were hanging on the walls, in Jules Kitchen, the staff were very friendly, Saturday, was my second visit (with the same friend) to Jules Kitchen, I will definitely visit Jules Kitchen, again, in the future.

Went in with my wife and children during the week. First of all wasn't greeted at the door so wasn't sure if we had to choose our seats or what. 2 minuets laters this youngish lady i would say arrived. Which i believe was Chelsey from what i could make out by the name shouting out the back. We ordered our food and paid and it arrived warm... not hot!!! I wasn't pleased with how my children got treated to be honest as i felt they didn't get lot of food and had it on some child plate. They always like to be treated no different. Overall i would no be coming back because i felt this could have been sorted if they had asked in the first place how i wanted it.

I went into this place thinking it was good value for money. It seems they have put the prices up since I last went in. I wasn’t greeted when I first got into the restaurant. Not sure what her name was. Short lady in mid 20’s maybe? come through with the attitude like she didn’t want to be at work. The food finally arrived and got to be honest it was nice and really enjoyed my meal. Just felt the service wasn't as good as the food. The price I paid for my breakfast I thought was over priced. Would I return? Yes I would only if I was asked by friends not on my own though.

Found Jules Kitchen yesterday, great mug of tea for just £1.20 - and had we known beforehand, we could have taken the dog in too. Food looked good too, and not silly prices - interesting place too - we will be back! Mick, Carol and 'Gladys' the cockapoo. Given it five stars, although must stress that having had a large lunch at home beforehand, we didn't sample the food this time - but we will on next visit!

We both had the big breakfast. 2 sausage, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, mushrooms, potato slices, beans, toms and toast... and added black pudding. (Can’t remember the name of the breakfast) Was a little busy when we arrived but told to order, sit on the bar stools and wait for a suitable table. Food came out freshly cooked. I’m a massive coffee drinker, and was impressed that it was actually decent coffee. All staff where really friendly. Over heard customers custom ordering sandwiches/breakfast inc vegetarian alternatives. It’s a small cafe, but very cosy. We can’t wait to go back!

A popular local cafe relocated into Aylsham. Friendly, welcoming staff. Find a table and order at counter as at other local cafes. Great selection of drinks. Home cooked food using good quality local produce. Specialises in good value breakfasts and tasty lunches. Highly recommended. We will definitely return. A bonus that well behaved dogs are welcome too.

My husband had been given this place as a recommendation by a couple of different people so we decided to go here for breakfast. I understand this café has recently moved from elsewhere in Aylsham and is now situated where Piggy's used to be. The café is a nice size, with good space between the tables. It is nicely decorated and a warm enough temperature that you can remove your coat and sit comfortably. It is split in to two rooms, divided by an archway. The counter is in the rear room. When we went in, there was a female staff member in the back, behind the counter, talking to a young couple. We hovered for a few moments as we've never been before and were unsure whether you just sit straight down or wait to be seated. There was no acknowledgment that we had even entered so we eventually just sat down. One of the walls was painted in blackboard chalk and had a brief summary of the breakfasts and drinks on there, but didn't explain what you got with each breakfast. There were no menus on the tables though so we didn't understand if what was written on the wall was all we were going to get. Nor did we know if we were meant to order at the counter or wait for table service. After a few minutes, the female finished her conversation and brought over a couple of menus for us, telling us to then go to the counter to order. I'm not really sure why the menus can't just be on the tables, with a note on top to say order at the counter once you have decided. It works in many other cafes. The menu is reasonably priced and there is a fair selection of choices. I ordered the smallest breakfast and my husband ordered the largest with a side of black pudding (which is extra). We ordered a latte and a Pepsi to drink. You need to pay for your food when you order. The drinks came quickly. However, the food took quite a while to come. I don't mind this if it's cooked fresh, but as we'd had the drinks for quite a while by then, the latte was going cold so had needed to be drunk and we barely had any drink left by the time the food was served. I'd have liked to have been asked if we wanted the drinks straight away or with the food. The breakfasts were okay. The black pudding was pretty generic. The sausages weren't very nice and lacked flavor and seasoning, with not a particularly pleasant texture. The eggs were overcooked to the point of being completely solid, so we left these. The bacon was quite fatty and not as cooked as I'd like. I'm not a fan of sliced potatoes on a breakfast and prefer hash browns or potato scones. That's personal preference though so not something I'd hold against them. We both left food on our plates. A group of males, who appeared local regulars, came in and ordered takeaway. One then stood right next to our table and spoke loudly to the rest of the group who had sat down at the other side of the café. It didn't exactly make for comfortable eating! When we got up to leave and were putting our coats on, nobody came to ask us how everything was or to clean our table. As we were walking out, we shouting 'thank you' and 'goodbye', but the female was talking to a group of males that appeared to be regular locals and we were completely ignored. The breakfasts were okay but nothing special. It's not particularly clear how the ordering, menus, payment etc works for first-timers. The service wasn't great and we felt like we were more of an inconvenience than anything else. There's a sign up that says something like "enter as a customer, leave as a friend". This obviously only applies to regulars as we weren't even acknowledged, never mind made to feel welcome. Two stars fell slightly low, but three stars feels a bit high compared to some of the other places I've given three stars to. I'd give it two and a half stars.

Early morning stop for breakfast, the new location in Aylsham is open from 7:30am on weekdays so great if you're up and about early. Big 'Un Breakfast was ordered, £8 very reasonable for a large breakfast with quality butchers' meats and complimentary drink. Sausages in particular were exceptional and everything was cooked extremely well. Overall very happy to have an excellent breakfast option in Aylsham, will definitely be returning soon!

Sitting here nicely filled up so thought I'd write this. Great quality ingredients. Local sausage and bacon. Fresh fried potatoes not frozen. Seasoned fried tomatoes. Generous portions and even a real mega-breakfast called the UNIT for a tenner. All lovely. Friendly staff. Easy to miss, look for the BP garage on the A140 it's on the side.

I called in for tea and a bite to eat having seen the cafe when passing previously. Service was OK but I was a little disappointed by the limited selection of cakes etc. Plenty of food choices including breakfast items, but fewer cold choices. More a cafe than a tea room. Prices good.

Have called here several times for breakfast. Never had a bad one yet, and they even have gluten free bread. They also seem to be well clued up on Slimming World and offer meals to suit Slimming World members! We have never had lunch so can't comment on that. Service is always friendly, and never had to wait too long for the food even though it is all cooked to order. Yes, it is more of a 'greasy spoon' than a posh café but none the worse for that! There are often families in there and the kids always appear happy with their food too.

Me and my boyfriend were glamping just down the road from Jules Country Kitchen and thought we would pop in for a proper breakfast. I had the breakfast bap which was perfect for me and the boyfriend ordered 'The Unit' breakfast which was huge and had everything short of the kitchen sink in. He polished off the lot! Great prices, great food and great service. Would definitely come back if we are down that way again and would recommend. The deluxe hot chocolate is a must!!

This place is attached to a garage and the outside and surrounding of the building may put you off. However if you look past that and stroll in you’ll be met by welcoming staff from a family concern with good quality good. I ordered a breakfast which was very good. Thick cut bacon, chunky sausages and everything else cooked really well. There’s little chance of leaving this place hungry. Very content!

Been here a couple of times for breakfast and both times now the breakfasts haven't been very hot, particularly the beans which were near enough stone cold. On the plus side the sausages were nice and tasty,. Asked for no mushrooms as have an allergy yet somehow one had strayed onto my plate. Hubby found big hair right in the middle of his plate of food. Toast Is so undercooked it's still like bread. Orange juice was cheap and sour. Also seeing the people who were cooking for us sat outside smoking was off putting. Both decided this was the last chance as that's twice we haven't enjoyed it so won't be going back again or recommending it.

Stopped off here on our way to Cromer. Didn't find the service to be that great as I have read in previous comments. There were three members of staff behind the counter and had to wait till they had all finished their conversation with obviously a regular customer before we were acknowledged we had been standing there at the counter for some time.We ordered the half a big-un and it was a good size and good value as a drink was included in the price. The only downside to the breakfast was the toast which was just warm bread and hadn't seen a toaster or the toaster wasn't working.

We popped into the cafe whilst waiting for the car to be cleaned nearby... As it was a cold rainy morning, me & hubby decided on the "Big Breakfast" and our friend on the "Half a big one".... Well the description wasn't lying!!! It was definitely big, and absolutely delicious!!! The staff were friendly and the cafe had a welcoming vibe as well as being clean & tidy. We will certainly return for the breakfasts alone, though we'll probably be back to try the roasts as we're only just up the road!!! A very well deserved 5/5!!

I was working at near by Erpingham church on a cold January day. I was going to stop at the filling station next door and buy a cold pre made sandwich, but I noticed the Jules café next door and fancied something to warm me up.
