Have been using The Jubilee for several years when on holiday and on returning found new owners in situ, and what a pleasant surprise. The pub was warm and welcoming and extremely clean. The new owners were extremely friendly and welcoming and the Sunday lunch was excellent, the best we have had in a long time at any venue! Choice of portion size was great, competitively priced and the best roasties I have had for a very long time, keep up the good work, we will definitely be back and have already passed review on to friends in the area.

we went for the Sunday lunch, i have to say the service and food were both brilliant. the portions were good. i had turkey and my wife had the beef. both were tasty and well cooked. the service was spot on , we asked for more veg and gravy and they didn't bat an eyelid it was there in the blink of an eye. we enjoyed the food we ate lunch in there on the week. i had the ham, egg and chips and my wife had the ploughmans. again we were both impressed plus the beer was good.

We visited the jubilee inn as we had passed it many times while we have been in the area. We booked a table as we were advised. That was fine. Food was ordered. I had the lasagne with supposedly garlic bread? Well, I appreciate that everyone's tastes are different, but this was basically a roll that had been toasted with some butter on it. I certainly couldn't taste any garlic! It was hard and a bit dry. The lasagne was ok, but again, I know people's tastes differ, but I personally found it a bit dry. I personally would have liked to have been able to have a few chips with it, but that was not an option. We both commented on how limited the menu was, no starter's or specials board. My husband and I were shocked when two groups of people were turned away as they were fully booked?! The place was half empty? No offers to have a drink, and we will see what we can do for you. We realised that at the incredibly late hour of 7:40 pm that we were the only ones in the whole pub! It is such a shame as it could be a really nice place. We have been and tried but have both agreed we won't be bothering again!

Sunday lunch. On arrival my on line booking could not be found, it was later noticed on a printed sheet. With hesitation the Landlord agreed to squeeze us in despite me having an emailed confirmation. I had advised that we were both vegetarian, there was one choice. The meal was lukewarm and underwhelming. I couldn’t eat mine. No one asked why. The plastic table cloths and general indifferent attitude made my visit disappointing to say the least. I would not return.

We decided to come to this pub on the first day of our holiday after driving for a few hours and we were quite hungry. We stopped off at the pub and noticed it was quite quiet so we initially thought it would be quite quick service. Oh how we were wrong. We sat at our table and my partner asked if the chef could make fried egg on toast for the youngest, and the server was quite difficult and said no, even though there is Ham Egg & Chips on the menu. Is it so difficult to toast a slice of bread? I would understand if it was rammo in there, but it was empty. My partner and I ordered the ‘Posh’ fish finger sandwich and the kids ordered chicken and chips, and the scampi and chips. We waited around 25 minutes for our food and when it arrived, we were left to disappointment. The so called ‘posh’ fish finger sandwich looked like the fish fingers came from Iceland’s frozen food sections, and were lukewarm, and a depressing grey colour. The chef (yes singular!) took a lot of care to take the chips from a frozen bag(!). All the food there was 100% previously frozen. I wouldn’t come back here for food if you paid me.

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst attending my Uncle’s funeral. Lovely quirky pub and food in the restaurant was lovely. Accommodation was very tired. Carpet in the hall was awful. Had to put a towel up at the bathroom window as there was a massive gap and we overlooked the car park. Believe me, people do not want to see me naked in the shower!!! Breakfast was pathetic and didn’t even bother the second day. ‘Continental breakfast’ was stale bread for toast, tiny danishes and small packets of cereal! Would definitely recommend the pub for drinks and food, as a lovely atmosphere, but not the room so much!

What a find. Did a coastal walk and was looking for a nice place for a drink - this was amazing. lovely staff - we sat in the restaurant to watch the sun go down and then moved to sit by a blazing fire. Were not planning to eat but seemed we just had too. The 'best fish and chips I have ever had' for GF and wonderful Sausage and Mash. Such a nice place and total surpise treat for us. Will return for sure - the best sunset view I have seen.. Thank you

15 Falmouth Road Runners ran from the Queens Arms this morning, then bundled back in for breakfast afterwards. Gary and the team looked after us splendidly! Cooked breakfasts, veggie breakfast, avo, things on toast and loads of tea & coffee. All served up by friendly and efficient staff, and no time at all. Awesome!

Having not been here in over a year we thought we would have an evening out as we had always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, sadly we were disappointed and did not end up staying for food. Firstly on entering we could not smell and food smells only a damp musty smell. We ordered drinks and were shocked at the price, over £10 for a shandy and half a glass of lime and soda. On being seated upstairs it felt chilly, the table was grubby and the light feature on the table did not work. Awful pop music playing in the background was being drowned out by the bellowing voice of the chef downstairs in the kitchen, we could hear most of what he was saying including the 'F' words. After sitting for 10 mins we realised that the dish I would be ordering (slow cooked pork belly)was obviously not cooking so would most probably have been microwaved along with the dauphinoise potatoes, and the noise of the chef and music we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Such a shame that this once lovely restaurant lacked atmosphere, fresh cooked food and respect for customers from the chef!

Don't be put off by some of the negative 1 star reviews (some seem suspiciously negative and unreal.) Certainly this pub has seen much better days and yes it is looking very run down and tired. The staff are excellent, genuinely freindly and welcoming. The rear restaurant overlooking the beach is generally closed for the winter months but the front bar is warm and cosy with a large log burner. Food and drink wise is exceptional for its pricing. Currently doing a daytime deal of 'Light bites' at £10.00 each - Don't be mislead by the term 'Light' these are full meals which are cooked to a very high standard by an obviously capable chef. well kept beer around £5.00 pint - not too far off spoons pricing during the day (But better quality food i.M.H.O ) The main problems have been historic since the pandemic, and like many pubs have struggled with costs and staffing but the current managerment/staff really are turning this around. The actual owners seem not to want to spend any money on the building perhaps to demolish it and build yet more unnecessary flats? Remember people - use them or lose them.

We used to love popping in here when we were in Truro, you would be lucky to get a seat but now it’s take your pick. In a nutshell the place has lost its soul.
