What a night, fantastic cocktails and the best fillet steak I have ever had. The decor is fantastic and the team were amazing

My sister and I had lunch here today (12/5/24 ) It was a treat for my 82nd birthday. It was my first visit her third . We ordered Sunday roast, I had pork and she had Beef. She had booked the table 24 hours previous. We ordered drink and our dinner arrived very quickly. My pork was o a massive chop covered in gravy buried under was red cabbage, one carrot a massive Yorkshire sitting on top and Broccoli was not cooked,We had to ask for a spare plate so to put the chop on so I could try and get some meat off. My sister meal was as bad. We had a refund for my meal, very disappointed.

Lovely place,good food,great atmosphere ,staff very friendly .I love this place and the beautiful decor ,the vegetarian food very nice .

Fabulous Breakfasts..a must visit day or night,lovely ferl to the whole place.. It is very relaxing and very unique for the area. Good quality food, fully stocked bar, and fabulous cakes ....

The worst roast dinner ever ! Imagine was cooked some time ago and kept warm on heating tray for ages , as it was very dried out ! The Roast potatoes served were really burnt and the stuffing hard as rock , couldn’t cut it . These were changed , not much improvement on stuffing . The cauliflower and brocolli Cheese very dry . The Pork was very dried out . Whole dinner lukewarm . Very disappointed .

Myself and best friend stayed at JJ's on their opening night for their new hotel rooms, wow is all we can say, what stunning, beautiful rooms, all themed, not your average run of the mill boring corporate rooms, we stayed in the renaissance room which was beautiful but we also checked out all of the other rooms, we want to come back again and stay in the Monkey room. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly as was the owner. First class

we wanted somewhere different to go. We looked on line at the menu before hand, so knew what we wanted. We chose the meat plater, as we fancied the steak, pulled pork, coleslaw and onions, chorizo. I'm not keen on the rest of the meat but my husband is. When our meal came, we noticed no pulled pork, told that there was a menu change its now Belly pork! Wasn't told at time of order. Also at the end we also noticed no coleslaw or red onions. We were told afterwards they should have been put on there. The platter cost £54, we were give £13 off even though we said we didn't want one. The point is, if we had been told at time of order no pulled pork and it was Belly pork we wouldn't have ordered the dish. So 3 out of the 4 things I was looking fwd to weren't on the platter.

In a world of dull boring restaurant chains offering boring choices and bland offerings, JJs is a beacon of light and great fun. A unique and Superbly decorated establishment, a genuine warm and friendly welcome, superb staff and cocktails and delicious food. If this places doesn’t succeed there is no hope or justice in the world. I Can’t wait to return! Absolutely loved everything about this place. Very good value. Well done.

Kicked out my sober friend and refused service the second she walked in claiming she's drunk when sober

Apart from the food, drink and surroundings the main plus was the service from the staff who each went out of their way to make us welcome and ensure everything was as it should be. Lovely bunch of people and they made our visit exceptional.

A family member recommended Jj's to us, so we decided to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday here! The place was beautifully decorated, the service was excellent and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back!

The quirky interiors and decor are what really set this venue aside - it's always a pleasure to go in and sit in the eccentrically decorated outside area, in particular. But the food is horrendously overpriced - easily a third again over what I'd usually expect to pay - and only really of a very middling quality - certainly not of a high enough standard to justify the very high prices. The staff are generally lovely, but the service is not great - we waited 40 minutes for someone to ask if we'd like fresh drinks during our meal, and in the end gave up on the idea of getting cocktails and just left once we'd eaten. The manager needs a particular stand-out mention as she seems to go out of her way to make customers feel like an inconvenience. All in all, a fun place to pop in for a drink but I would definitely not recommend eating here.

Well, where do I start? The exterior just shouts “FABULOUS” in big shouty capitals! My friend took me here yesterday to celebrate my 60th birthday……I’m hooked! The decor is bonkers but classy, loud but with finesse (if that’s possible!) and when you step inside you’re taken to another world! Greeted and seated in a friendly and welcoming manner then we perused the cocktail menu….all fabulous but we only had one! The food portions are fantastic and so reasonably priced. Good quality food served stylishly and promptly even when very busy! All in all, this place is a must visit for any occasion or just because you can!

Lovely food and good selection of drinks. Surprisingly reasonable prices. Sharing platters are more than adequate for two. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely fantastic Halloween evening. It's hard to describe what was better, the food, the live entertainment, the atmosphere and wow! the decorations . The staff were amazing (especially Belinda) really couldn't be more friendly and fun. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Well done to you all.

Morning John, sorry to be sending you message like this, but I have to say it is with great disappointment that six of us had to walk out of JJ on Sunday. My sisters had booked a table at 3:45 3 weeks ok for my birthday. To be told on arrival you’d run out of roast dinners this was very disappointing. The reason given was they’d been so busy. Surely there should be enough stock left for those that have booked!? or why were we not asked what our dining Choice was before we arrived. I’m not one to complain, but when everyone was so looking forward to it was a real shame.

We have been 3 times now and each time the service from the management is very poor. As a minimum you expect a smile and a greeting but we were looked at like we’d crawled in off the street. The female in question should not...

JJs is a unique restaurant, I was so impressed with the service, the food was exceptional and atmosphere was excellent. I highly recommended a visit!
