Vk Plant Based Diner in Havant

We had Sunday roast lunch & it was amazing. Traditional home cooking. Very filling & so tasty. Roast potatoes were perfect. Usually so difficult to get good Vegan food out. Our first visit but definitely not our last. Parking within easy walking distance at town centre car park, free on Sundays.

Came here earlier today (Sunday 25th August) and after a crazy day before at Victorious Fest this was exactly the place I needed to be for lunch... Had the Chick'n Wellington Roast and a jammy dodger Sundae - obviously all vegan... 100% recomend to everyone especially if your vegan or someone who just wants a dairy free diet - like me... Will definitely come again when I'm back up in Waterlooville... Could use a restaurant like this in Swanage where I now live! 😍👍

Amazing food every time I've come in or ordered takeaway. They've even catered an event for me and the food was excellent!

Managed to drag my husband (real carnivore) along for a vegan roast, and he actually enjoyed it! The service, food, music (mostly 60’s and 70’s) and ambience were all good. We will return during the week to try other options on the menu. The deserts looked yummy as well but too full to partake.

Lovely little cafe. All plant based foods. Great flavours. Staff really friendly and knowledgeable Been a number of times. Will continue to go. Pity not open in the evenings as would definitely go more often

BBQ pulled 'pork' flatbread. Stuffed full of BBQ flavour pulled shiitake mushrooms. You honestly have no idea you are eating mushrooms. Very filling. This place is the best thing about Waterlooville.

I just visited for a Sunday roast. It was delicious. The Cauliflower cheese was a highlight for me. So tasty! Oh and the biscoff cheesecake. Really creamy. The team are very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the feast and lovely service.

Absolutely incredible! We had the most delicious pulled ‘pork’ flat bread and the hot dog. Not only did they taste amazing they looked amazing too. Such lovely people and they were so accommodating with my allergy restrictions. We will definitely be back here again soon! :)

Our first visit to VK Plant Based Diner for lunch today. I had the Tikka Kebab and my wife had Fish & Chips. We both had the White Chocolate and Honeycomb Cheesecake for dessert. The food was awesome and lovely friendly service. Very reasonable prices too. Can't wait to visit again.

Our favourite place to eat! The VK is super welcoming, we are currently weaning our 8 month old daughter and she is a very messy eater but they are so happy to see her enjoying their food. The food is always amazing, the cheesecake especially is utterly delicious. The brunch menu is also soooo good. Completely recommend!

My gorgeous wife has been wanting to eat here for a while. We are off from work this week so drove the 40 miles to come and eat. The service was really friendly and polite. Superb choices on the menu. I had the pulled BBQ pork burger and wife had the bean burger with nachos and jalapeños. Absolutely amazing and very filling. So wanted desert but just no room. Will 100%come back to try a roast and the rest of the menu. 100%Vegan which is just the best. Thanks 💚😊

Visited this lovely colourful little cafe for Sunday lunch, and they had a wide range of options. We opted for the chicken seitan roast dinner and the beef seitan pie roast dinner. Both were cooked perfectly, the veg were just right, the Yorkshire pudding lovely and fluffy, added cauliflower cheese, and all absolutely delicious. The service is so good, such a lovely friendly and helpful waitress. The chef can be see in the kitchen working so hard. The dessert options were very good. We opted to take three of them home as we were so full up. We had the deep filled apple pie with a little pot of custard provided, which was fantastic, the Bakewell tart and the Bakewell cheesecake, all really very yummy. Good value too. We will be back.

Fantastic first experience! I’d been meaning to try this place for ages and only wish I had sooner! Popped in for a Vegan Roast and had the home made Chick’n Wellington with a mountain of Roast Potatoes, plus Vegan Cauliflower Cheese. Amazingly generous portions and the waitress running front of house was lovely. I’ll definitely be back :)

Hidden gem, great food and lovely staff. A firm favourite in our household. We're not all vegetarian/vegan but love their burgers.

As a first time vegan diner and having a 12yr old who.was sceptical...we had the most wonderful meal...the food was varied loads of choices and most of all really scrummy food...so.much so we will visit again soon and my 12yr old gave the thumbs up. Debbie

Just fantastic as always! I love eating out and this is the best vegan restaurant I've been to. The ambience is perfect with colourful murals on the wooden walls. The service is great. The food is just amazing. I had the roast turkey dinner which was so good - the non-pigs in blankets were amazing. My partner had fish and chips - I tried a bit of his fish and to me it had exactly the same taste and texture. I can't recommend this lovely place more. My only gripe is that they aren't based in Fareham where we live x

Wow, Wow, Wow! This place is vegan heaven! On our way down to Christchurch we stopped at Waterlooville to have a vegan roast dinner. By far the best vegan roast dinner I have ever eaten, with amazing Yorkshire puddings.

Great menu with a good selection. Very welcoming. Food was delicious, puddings very indulgent. Large portions Think pub food classics all plant based (but you'd never know)

We ordered a vegan roast each, one with seitan chicken and the other with the chicken Wellington. The portion size was large and it had a bit of everything - the cauli cheeze was our favourite. The lady serving was lovely and the food arrived fast. Atmosphere was chill and the place looks cool. Make sure to book ahead by phone or email... Many people turned up without a reservation and were turned away. Overall the food was great and we can wait to came back and try the wider menu. Its great to see places like vegan kitchen outside of cities.

This place is amazing! Food was incredible, reasonably priced with good portions, and the service was excellent. Really welcoming environment and great atmosphere. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Our second visit here, the freshly cooked food is so flavoursome. I could try everything on the menu. I love the spray paint art on the walls. The owner is wonderfully friendly and helpful, you feel nothing is an issue. My only issue is they don’t open in the evening as they have a lovely curated selection of drinks.

Had an amazing lunch today at The Vegan Kitchen in Waterlooville for mum's birthday. I had the delicious chick'n curry pie and mum had the equally tasty lasagne. Both were so filling and tip quality. We wanted a dessert but couldn't eat them then. So, we bought a couple of cheese cakes for later. Superb food, great atmosphere and staff that couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Five stars from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can't wait to go again.

It was so hard to choose so I went for the tastiest pea and mint falafel with creamy humus and chunky salad, followed by mini pastries and ice cream. Very relaxed, quiet jazzy background music and rustic tables. Definitely the best thing in town (there really is nothing else worth stopping for in Waterlooville), worth a detour.

Visited this lovely colourful little diner for Sunday lunch with 3 generations of family. Most of us chose the fantastic roast dinner with all the trimmings including cauliflower cheese. The Yorkshire puddings on the menu said ‘fluffy’ and they were so nice. One had the burger roastie which also looked lush. Desserts were epic too with a great choice and a separate range of sundaes. Service was very good, they were so helpful as we had two little children and they were very supportive. Will be visiting again soon.

A Wonderful menu of modern food, we thoroughly enjoyed our stop at VK, I had the breakfast bap and a well made latte, very tasty, friends had the avocado and pumpkin seed on toast, it looked so good I’ll be back for that next time. Great service and friendly people, go there and enjoy!

I can always rely on this place to cure a Sunday hangover when I can’t be bothered to cook. So much choice…the roast dinners include cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire puddings which are almost certainly left off of the plate when ordering a vegan roast dinner anywhere in Hampshire. Cheery service and good prices. I hope people keep visiting here as it really is a gem in Waterlooville.

I have been a number of times now, and am always blown away by all the options. I've had something different every time and its always been amazing. The menus rotate with seasonal specials as well. My partner is not vegan but loves the food so I'd definitely recommend to vegans and non vegans alike. The service is amazing, really friendly, and the food has obviously had a lot of thought behind it.

We recently found this diner and it is possibly, without doubt, one of the best family run vegan diners we have every been to. On our first visit my wife and I had the VK Breakfast and my son had 'The Spanish One' (Chorizo burger). All of the meals were very tasty and the portion sizes were very generous. On our second visit we had the 'Brunch Mezzaluna Bread', which (as before) was so tasty and filling. On our last visit this week (yes we've been three times in two weeks because it's that good) I had the 'Breakfast Bap', which was a brioche bun filled with sausages, bacon, black pudding, hash brown, cheese sauce and ketchup. It was (as usual) absolutely delicious. It's not only the food that's exceptional. The staff are lovely too. They are very friendly and can't do enough for you. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I've been meaning to try this cafe for ages. I took my kids there and we all had a delicious lunch. The service was amazing - very quick and very friendly staff and food was so yummy. The best vegan cheesecake I have ever eaten. The music was great too and it had a great feel to the place with the artwork etc. Would definitely go there again.

Loved my first visit here! I phoned and booked ahead to go on a Sunday lunchtime (it was busy so Im glad I booked ahead). I said on the phone that I was gluten free and they were so helpful on the phone. The food was amazing and staff were so friendly. Really looking forward to going again and will be recommending to friends.

A real gem! We visited on the 22nd July 2023 after parkrhn and we're pretty much the first customers in. The place is really nice with some brilliant decor. The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The food was brilliant too, my breakfast was very tasty my wife's avocado looked fantastic. Both were generous portions and good value. It's a great place and well worth a visit. We usually go to Costa after a parkrun in that area but I think we've found a far better venue!

This was my first time visiting Waterlooville. I've been wanting to try VK for a while so we booked in for Sunday dinner and I'm so glad that I did! It's a lovely little diner. It's very clean and the staff are nice. I had the seitan which I really enjoyed. I was pleased that there was a decent amount of gravy as most places never seem to do enough. The portion sizes were big but I just about managed to fit in a chocolate fudge cake afterwards which was also a decent size. I thought the drinks prices were excellent. I can't wait to visit again, I'd like to try a breakfast next time!

I heard about Vegan Kitchen a couple of of months ago and finally tried it today. When we arrived there was a large group of cyclists having coffee outside and all the tables inside were reserved for Sunday roasts so we thought we might be out of luck. Fortunately the lady serving was amazing and fitted us in before their rush started. My partner suffers from a pea and lentil allergy and the lovely lady (sorry didn't catch your name!) checked the ingredients of the dishes we were interested in to see what was suitable. I went for the Chick'n and mushroom pie roast, and my partner had the chickpea and spinach curry. The food arrived really quickly and was absolutely delicious, really generous portions too. I'd never tried a vegan Yorkshire pudding before but they were great. We finished with a slice each of the amazing cakes on offer, a strawberry cheesecake and a chocolate fudge cake 😋 I would highly recommend Vegan Kitchen, the food was top notch and the service was so friendly and helpful. I always prefer to spend my money with local businesses, I really love what they're doing here and we will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Great food and always friendly service. It's a small place but they can take bookings for groups and all our food came out together without any problems. I love the range of their menu, so many jacket potato vegan fillings and classic meals that even a non vegan would enjoy. The roast dinner is lovely, best cauliflower 'cheese' around! I would only change the location, just so it was nearer to where I live so I could go more often or have it delivered!

Fantastic Sunday lunch (you need to book). Chikn Wellington and Roast Chikn with all the trimmings, even vegan yorkies. Great food, friendly and attentive services.

Have eaten here at least 4 or 5 times now. Service is always great. Food is excellent. Good sized portions and freshly prepared food. The new fishless fingers went down a treat with the kids. Great value for money and an excellent addition to waterlooville. Will defo be back again and again

First time visitor to this super vegan café in Waterlooville. Attractive signage on the outside greets your visit, followed by a warm welcome as you enter. We were told we could sit where we wanted to and menus were brought over. The drinks we chose were infused tea and hot chocolate with cream. We went for the VK Breakfasts which were immediately started by the chef in the kitchen. The chocolate was sweet and creamy with a big swirl of squirty cream on top. Breakfast arrived shortly after and it was BIG and piping hot! The breakfast consisted of vegan versions of sausages, bacon, black pudding, tofu scramble, mushrooms, baked beans, tomato and toast and every mouthful was delicious. They have a well-stocked cabinet filled with delicious looking sweet treats which I will sample next time. The proprietors of the café were very friendly and happy to chat. This is an establishment I am looking forward to visiting again.

Although my partner & I arent vegan, we have friends who come to stay that are. This place is a hidden treasure. Food is excellent, staff so friendly and helpful, menu is quite extensive and unlike other general restaurants who charge more for vegan/vegetarian, the prices here are not much different to non vegan/veg meals. Easy place to find and plenty of parking about the town. Would recommend to book table as it can get busy, especially on a Sunday... their roast options are to die for! I personally love their desserts (that be my sweet tooth!) However they also sell take away cake/sweets too. Def not a place to miss if you get the chance.

Didn't really know what to expect but the food was incredibly good, vegan or not the food is good enough for everyone, the absence of meat wasn't even a thought. I had the nutter burger and wife the chilli, both tasted amazing and you tell it was prepared by some who actually cared. Highly recommended you give a go vegan or not.

One of the best vegan restaurant's I have visited. Very good varied menu and the roast is delicious, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire puddings OMG. The treacle tart and custard was yummy. Servings are very generous and the service is 100%. Great find 😊

The food is yummy and a little cheaper than all the other vegan cafes we eat at, there's a lot of options, AND THE STAFF IS AMAZING! I feel bad for not knowing the name of the woman who served us but she was by far the best waitress I've ever met. There's also yummy sounding milkshakes and local parking. The only downfall is: the place is small and there wasn't enough space for half the customers to eat there (we got lucky).

Had an amazing lunch here! My mum is vegan and me and my dad are not, my dad can be quiet fussy with vegan meals but he took one bite and said ‘that’s amazing’ quality of food was 10/10 and so was the service! Can’t wait to come back again and want to try out the whole menu 🤩

4 of us enjoyed a wonderful lunch yesterday at the Vegan Kitchen . None of us are vegans but what a fabulous menu . We all chose something different, each extremely happy with our choices which were beautifully cooked , wonderfully presented, piping hot and so tasty . A lovely selection of puddings too . Excellent , professional service with a smile. A very satisfying experience.

Just had a most delicious Mother’s Day roast followed by dessert . The Vegan Kitchen was busy but service was excellent , food piping hot and cooked to perfection ! A very comprehensive menu and drinks list . We’ll definitely be back soon.

Absolutely delicious meal, much better than I expected. Vegan meals have come on so much in the last few years. If I don't know it was vegan I wouldn't have guessed.
