This was our first visit to Lyme Regis and after having a little look around we were all getting a little hungry so we decided to stop off at Jane's Cafe on the parade. There were five of us and we all shared two boxes of cheesy chips together, I can't comment on the drinks that the others had but the cheesy chips were very nice. Good position sizes although could have been a little bigger but the chips were nice and there was plenty of grated cheese on top - I expect it would have been even better if it was melted slightly! There were plenty of places to sit and eat with nice views over the beach. The only negative comment from a family member was that the staff were a little slow serving the drinks but the food was ready pretty quickly and it was hot which was the main thing! A good little place to stop for a quick drink and something to eat.....

This is a lovely little cafe by the sea and close to the harbour with great views and friendly staff. I only had a cup of tea but the food looked and smelt good too.

This isn't a proper chippy. Check the photos of other users and you'll see straight cut chips, and small pieces of fish. If you're after cafe food, fine, but keeping going if you want proper chips. The chips were bland, the fish watery and thin.

From joining the take out queue to receiving the food it took 55 minutes and wasn’t worth waiting for. Staff were friendly but overwhelmed.

Dreadful and overpriced food! Chips were dry and sausage burnt! £8!! I wasn’t with my husband when he collected but I certainly would have asked for my money back. Had to throw half of it away.

Lovely cafe on the beachside at Lyme Regis.Tables inside and out and umbrellas on the outside tables so you dont get wet if it rains.Large menus with prices on the tables.The boxes on the tables contain cutlery,vinegar,sauces and serviettes.Most of the menu can be Gluten Free and the chips are anyways.Lovely staff and quick service.I think the outside tables are the best with the view across the harbour and bay and hustle and bustle of the people going by.We had the cheesy chip,pot of tea and americano coffee.Highly recommended.There are public toilet 100 yards away in both directions.Parking nearby at Monmouth Beach.

Waited 45 minutes to then be told that they forgot my order. The young girl taking the orders needs training in customer service. Still waiting for my refund to go through. After waiting that long they still charged me for my drinks, they didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience. If they looked after there customers in a better way the review would be different

We had a late breakfast at Jane's cafe. Bacon bap was yummy and full of bacon which is always good! Reasonably priced, only thing I would say is we did wait quite a while for our order but the cafe did take a couple of biggish orders before ours but wasn't particularly busy. Was worth the wait and I always think if you are waiting you know its cooked fresh 😊 service from the young waiters was pleasant and friendly. We will return if in the area again!

Very average food. Service was hit and miss also with no less than 3 servers helping out. They all appeared to not know what was going on. A very nice location right on the beach however this was also let down by no bill and in the end overpaying for what we had.

Popped in for lunch with the family. It is what is says on the tin, cafe food. No complains about the quality of the food. The service was pleasant, have a very young team and they were working hard. Only feedback is, when the staff were in and out of the kitchen, till and restock area which is all very close together yet there was one chap who kept shouting for staff to clear tables and take out food. “table 9”. Luckily I found it amusing however i don’t think it was necessary as I’m sure his colleagues were standing right next to him. Just a note, it may be busy outside but please be aware of the guests inside too.

Had takeaway from here. Wish I had not. Disappointed with portion size, fat needed changing, fish small and over cooked too small for cod.

Popped in recently for a coffee, and landed up have a bowel of chips. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I asked if it was possible for me to have an ice-cream from their take-away next door and one of the staff members kindly got this for me. Worth a visit.

quite basic but nice people and lovely food, we had the cream tea and can highly recommend - the scones are freshly baked and still warm, lovely but had to share as they were quite a size so recommend one cream tea between two.

Great location, beside the sea with tables outside. Friendly, efficient staff and good simple food - you know the sort, ham n eggs, fish n chips, beans, peas, buttered rolls etc. All well cooked and filling and fairly priced.

Seafront Cafe, food served in very good time considering how busy they were, young inexperienced staff led by a clearly more than capable owner. Not a single thing to be negative about. Food was very well presented. Best thing I saw was a young girl approach, a young 12 maybe with her friend appeared and asked for a glass of water, she looked like she needed it, and the Chinese lad duly got her one, she really looked like it did her the world of good and I imagined if that was my kid, we all know how daft they are, I hope this can be relayed back and that all Staff would have done the same….ironically we were charged for bottled water when 2 of the 4 had tap water but no biggie it happens but giving the young girl the water without question made me so happy.
