Just celebrated my birthday here with my eldest son and his wife. Recommended this place by my hairdresser. Absolutely faultless service. Wonderful food. What a lovely experience. And to top it all desert was on the house and served with a candle and a rendition of happy birthday from Wendy. Thank you all at Jades Palace. Will most definitely bad returning and very very soon xx

My family have just had the most fantastic dinner at Jade’s Palace. We have never had a bad experience in over 17 years and have never been disappointed by the quality of the food and the outstanding hospitality and service. Highly recommended - the best Chinese restaurant in the area.

Great food! I had the aubergine stuffed with prawn mince in black bean sauce and hubby had a curry. Kids had sweet and sour pork and chicken fried rice. Very yummy and prepared fresh and super fast. Can’t wait to go back!

First visit and last, the Kung POO was awful and I was unwell after. I have been eating Kung Po for many years and know how it should be presented. Truly awful

Really gone downhill - food was supermarket quality. Really sad and used to be good - what has happened. I would rather pay more for quality food than see the quality reduce due to cost of living.

Tonight we went to Jades Palace got my birthday we had a 6pm booking which was fine, all the staff were rushing around we had to keep asking for drinks and missing food. The phone was continuously ringing was not a relaxed atmosphere. The food was very slow in coming then at 7.55 pm they cleared our table just as my daughters boyfriend was putting his last mouthful of food in his mouth. The waitress then said would we like anything else tea coffee desserts, as I said yes please she then said oh sorry we need your table. The table behind us had sat down and it was a group of ladies and their other halves were waiting for our table. We paid the bill and left £130 bill to be told we couldn’t have dessert or coffee. So disappointed we have always had a lovely time I really don’t know what has happened but will definitely not go back, you don’t pay for a meal to be treated like that.

Dined here a couple of times recently - always excellent whatever you select from the varied and reasonably priced menu. Service is what helps to make this a 5 star review, all of the staff are friendly and attentive. Best Chinese in the area by far! Keep it up Ken & Team.

From the moment I booked by phone the service was amazing! The man who took my call was so friendly and polite. He noted it was my husbands birthday from that one phone call and bought out a surprise dessert singing happy birthday! The food was amazing, great quality and good sized generous portions. To top it off, a complimentary drink at the end of the meal - its the little things like great friendly attentive service that go a long way. Our drinks throughout were never empty without being asked if we wanted another one and the staff were very efficient. Restaurant itself was very clean and still has the covid screens separating the tables. Will definitely return again, a lovely birthday meal hubby loved it too.

Wir wurden herzlich Empfangen und bei der Auswahl der Speisen gut beraten. Da wir einen Hund dabei hatten und dieser nicht in das Restaurant konnte, haben wir die Gerichte mitgenommen. Alles war gut verpackt und noch heiß, als wir nach 15 Minuten ankamen. Geschmacklich hat es uns begeistert. Die Gerichte waren auf den Punkt gegart und interessant gewürzt. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt! Hier sollte man unbedingt einkehren, wenn man in der Gegend ist.

Went here with some friends we hadn’t seen for a while. They were extremely busy but the staff are so sweet & friendly. Food is lovely too. Can’t fault it.

We had a very odd experience at the restaurant at the weekend. It was a lunch time service and we felt very unwelcome. The whole dining experience felt very rushed and we had the feeling they just wanted us to leave! Also, no little dish of peanuts on the table as there used to be, no Chinese beer and no linen napkins although that may be covid related but it's the attention to little details that made it special. But the worst thing was we were told there were no deserts being served as the kitchen was too busy. My sweet-toothed husband was gutted as he loves the deep-fried bananas! There were only two tables occupied of which our table of four was one and the other table was just 2 people. We'd travelled a long way and were so disappointed. Definitely not the usual level of friendly service we've come to love. The food was still very good though hence the 4 stars and we are just hoping this was a blip.

This was my first time to this fabulous Chinese restaurant. Its not huge, but they fitted our party of seven in well and the table service was absolutely superb. They were so friendly, attentive, humorous and helpful. The food was out of this world. The restaurant was quite busy for a midweek evening, and they seemed to be doing a brisk takeaway trade too. Apparently they have a small private car park round the back. If you live nearby to Jade's Palace, then you are very lucky indeed!

This meal was delicious There was a good selection of dishes - many of which were new to us. Deep fried asparagus with garlic was a revelation !

Delicious fresh food. Good service. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Only drawback is that they don’t mention on their website that there is a car park at the back of the restaurant. Easily rectified. Otherwise no complaints and will definitely revisit and highly recommend to others.

We live in Wadhurst and there is not a good Chinese takeaway close by, happen to be in the area and having read reviews decided to order a small takeaway. Great tasty meal ( wouldn’t have the prawn toasts again) great chicken satay, black bean beef and special fried rice. Will certainly make the trip back again

Excellent service very polite staff. We had not booked but managed to get us a table as had time so best to book. The food was out of this world one of the best Chinese's we have eaten. Very clean and tidy.

Food was fine. Friendly service in quaint older style surroundings. Would have liked a Tsing Tao beer but out of stock so stuck with Heinekin. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Totally covid friendly. 5 friends enjoyed a superb birthday lunch on Sunday. Nothing too much trouble for the lovely staff. First class food and service at a very reasonable cost. Can thoroughly recommend.

We had a take away 2 weeks ago, and with the virus very quiet, the quality was outstanding. We go back as generally very good, but when busy the standard goes down. Which to be fair is to be expected. Top Tip. Get in early!!...

Celebrated a 70th birthday her tonight. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The waiter who took our order was really helpful in suggesting the amount of dishes to order. All courses were served piping hot and so worth the wait, delicious. The restaurant had no idea...

Whilst we haven’t ordered for quite a long time I felt the standards were less than they used to be. Food was very good (it always has been)but portion sizes were much smaller than they used to be. We’re not big eaters but ordered staters...

We’ve been eating at Jade’s Palace for over 10 years now, and it has never failed to be an excellent experience. It’s consistently busy, even mid-week, which is always a good sign. So, do book. The range of Chinese restaurants in Tunbridge Wells is very limited, so we always find the journey worthwhile. There’s limited parking out the back, or it’s a relatively inexpensive taxi. We tend to return to the Seafood Gourmet set meal, which is a real treat, and wonderful when shared with a couple of friends, as we do with our regular Crowborough best friends!They’re always happy to provide a recommendation on the menu if you’re feeling more adventurous, and the wine list is reasonable, with the house white being very much our go-to.

We were a post-Christmas party of eight on a visit to this delightful, small and very friendly Chinese restaurant. We were given a very friendly welcome and all seated comfortably and cosily. The service was excellent, fast and attentive, and the owner, 'Ken' made several visits throughout our meal to check on us. The food was excellent, and all of us were happy with choices that we had made. For some of us it was the first time that we had visited this restaurant and we regretted that we had not been before! High recommended!

What a lovely welcoming restaurant. The owner was so friendly, it was like he was welcoming us into his own home. He chatted to us on a personal level which made us feel very comfortable. The food was the best we have ever had in a chinese. We had grilled dumplings and duck followed by stuffed aubergine (a traditional dish and very delicious!), lemon chicken and special fried rice. We could even take home the food we didn't eat. We are not from the area, but will definitely be returning when we're next in the area!

Excellent food, piping hot and cooked to order. Popped in on a busy night on the off chance of a table, fully booked but would see what they could do and 5 minutes later shown to a table. Small restaurant, friendly staff and efficient service as well as lovely dishes and would definitely return. Thoroughly recommend.

We booked a table at the Jade Palace whilst staying in Crowborough. I have to say how great a restaurant we found it to be. We had two young children with us and the staff were very accommodating, warm and friendly to them. They even bought them over special chopsticks, which the kids were delighted with and enjoyed using!

Always a great experience very friendly, food delicious, great service the only place to go in Crowborough if you want Chinese.

My wife fancied a Chinese meal so we thought about trying this one having had so many good reports. We were not disappointed first visit ever. The staff were very welcoming, the food was excellent; not all salty like some many others Chinese establishments, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Many thanks too all the staff will be going again.

Though we have eaten in the restaurant, we tend to use this place for take-away meals which are always pretty good, even though choice is not as wide as in some other Chinese shops.

Having been out shopping for last minute holiday bits and returning home the wife said the usual “are you hungry” meaning we are eating out!! It was only 6pm in a Sunday in fact Father’s Day so we thought wherever we went would be busy!

Having just moved into the area, I did a little scout around for local takeaway places and picked up a few local menu's. I live in a neighboring village so the lack of delivery service was a bit of a pain, meaning I needed to drive into Crowborough and collect my order but having read other good reviews about the food on trip advisor, I thought it would be the best place to start.

I have been here a few times now and my only regret is that I didn't use it years ago!

I Cannot recommend jade palace enough, food is so good , tasty , authentic & served hot and fast . Id say it’s the best I’ve tasted by far for a long time.

Food is always spot on as is the service. The cost is marginally more than the other local Chinese restaurants but well worth it.

What’s not to like about this place? Very attentive and warm staff, you felt like you were coming home. The food is sensational. Go there, treat yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

If you like Chinese food, then go to Jades Palace. It might spoil you for other places though. The food is absolutely 1st class. Cosy restaurant with very efficient staff and the owner (Ken) is just great. It's a little pricey but to be honest you get what you pay for sometimes. I can't recommend this place high enough

Cleary the starters were all straight from the freezer and in to a fryer. That said They were nice. Mains were mostly very good and the owner is absolutely brilliant! If it weren't for him, my review may have of a poorer nature but he absolutely gets the concept of service.

The staff are friendly with exceptional service and the owner 'Ken' is always nearby to assist. This is a traditional Chinese restaurant and the food is of exceptional quality and very well presented - you feel as thought you are in China or in Chinatown (NY) - that is how good it is. If you are in the area then don't miss going - you will have a treat.

Went here for a good friends Birthday meal were greeted on arrival took our coats and saw us to our table were very attentive and served us a beautiful meal.following the main course the waitress broght out Apple &Banana; fritters and ice cream and sang happy birthday.and then served us with complimentary drinks a very nice evening

I've eaten here or had while-you-wait takeaways many times and rated it very highly. My most recent takeaway wasn't as good as the food usually is and we had chosen our regular dishes. Some dishes were too dry, which was surprising as it was very early evening just after opening. I recall that at our last dine-in visit a few months ago the owner was seeking a new permanent chef so I hope this particular takeaway doesn't reflect reduced quality because of that change. I'll review again next time to update this experience.

Not sure where everyone else has been eating but overall we found the food here to be very poor quality. Most of the dishes would show up in the dark due to the colour additives and sugar in them and these were not tasty. The restaurant is also not value for money as just a few dishes and a bottle of wine came to well over £55 for two.

This has to be the best Chinese food I’ve ever had the pleasure to eat! Don’t miss it if your in the area, I’m only disappointed that it’s miles from where I live. Friendly greeting from for polite and helpful staff

Everything we wanted and more. Great food, friendly staff and welcoming. Ken was great fun and even gave complimentary sweets to the children, Annie (3) and Jonno (34) on the way out. We will visit again if we are in the area.

Fabulous food and ambience, always love going to eat here. We are local and Jade's Palace is a real favourite.

Have been to this restaurant many times and have never had poor food served or in the their takeaways. Highly recommended but if your planning to eat here book early it’s not a big restaurant and it’s very popular

Excellent service with extensive menu choices. All food was lovely, the shredded duck is a particular favourite. House white wine is good too. Can cater for allergies including gluten free and nuts, just let them know.

Got a takeaway here for the first time last weekend and it was the best Chinese we'd ever had. Loads of vegetarian and vegan options, the staff are super friendly and everything we ordered was soooo good (deep fried aubergine with chilli was unreal). It was also only £30 for a meal for 4 people.

Had an excellent takeaway from Jade's Palace last week. After saying that I was vegan, staff were easily able to reccomend me a selection of dishes to choose from. Food was excellent, and the service was great. Easily the best Chinese food in the area. I will be back soon!

We re-visited jade palace on our way back from Horsham and enjoyed a delcious chinese meal. We selected all our old favourites and even had enough to take home.

Seven of us visited this restaurant for my wife’s birthday. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced. The staff were very attentive and served drinks quickly. After we ordered it arrived very quickly at the table and was delicious. The manager heard it was my wife’s birthday and provided a little desert with us all singing happy birthday (much to her embarrassment). Also, he offered a complimentary drink (Baileys etc). Overall, a fantastic visit and we will return.

We recently went with friends for a meal and had an excellent evening, the food was brilliant,service friendly and attentive and generally we had a lovely evening. Thoroughly recommended.

We went with friends and family yesterday and can only way excellent food and service. We also went a few weeks back with friends and can say that the great experience was not a one off. Can only way of you want to be guaranteed a great chines e meal this is the place to go.

Having spend time in Hong Kong nothing comes close until Jades Palace! Food is exceptional, freshly prepared and tasty! Can highly recommend the Shaolin Monk Vegetables and the Satay Chicken its all lovely! Very friendly and attentive staff and a nice cosy atmosphere top marks!

Went here for a post Christmas family get together with 7 of us on a Sunday Lunchtime. Had a selection of the set meal choices including the vegetarian one which I would not normally have chosen. Everything was really tasty without over use of MSG, especially the starter choices! The crispy duck was fine and the vegetarian wrap in lettuce was a new experience for me and really glad we were able to try it!

We had a takeaway for five people. Everything really nice that we ordered. Not the cheapest but delicious.

The staff are lovely and always take the time to have a chat and the food never disappoints! Firm family...

Tried the take away for the first time this evening, was welcomed by a friendly gentleman who couldn’t have been more helpful. We didn’t wait long for our food and all the time we were made to feel welcomed. Food was delicious, not a huge menu but what we did have was lovely. Would definitely go back.

We are regulars to this restaurant and often have takeaways! The children always ask to eat in the restaurant on their birthdays and the food is superb! The Vietnamese sizzling prawns are amazing as is the beef in black bean with chilli! Love love love it!

I visited this crappy restaurant in January 2017. A thing called Ken something kept on blabbing his mouth on and on (motor-mouth). The service was always constantly under pressure at all times, even when not busy. The only thing that's keeping the restaurant going is that lovely Shirley, without her the restaurant would cease to exist. Ken give your mouth a rest and get some serious help!. Even 1 Star rating is over-rated
