Industry Notts in Nottingham

Visited with friends. Purchase an overpriced drink that came with two flies for free. Highlighted this to the manager who instead of apologising, stated “I can’t prove they didn’t go in there after and I am not giving you another drink” (I hadn’t even requested a new drink at this point…) I stated keep the drink and I will instead give it an honest review. The assistant manager then approached after and stated if there was more drink then she could do something. Obviously my fault for not identifying the flies sooner. Numerous better places to visit in the area. I would not revisit and advise that others choose an alternative place also.

New place to me, seemed OK was a bit slow but was early on a Saturday evening. Will give it another go.

Live sport, drink and snack. Atmosphere, food and drink were great! Staff were attentive, accommodating and very friendly.

You might remember this as the Sainsbury's on the junction of Carrington Street and Canal Street, or if you are really old the Natwestminster Bank! (It's pretty much opposite the new Broadmarsh Car Park & Bus Station). I swing by here about three times a week & (no surprise) I like it. No real ale, but a good selection. There is always plenty of sport going on on the screens & there is a pool table. I usually have a couple of Morettis. Staff are super friendly & efficient and I've been persuaded latterly to hold a loyalty card. I've not eaten, but I've watched the grub coming out & it looks pretty decent. Now, for me (being a bit of a fossil), there is a huge problem. Because they've gone for a stripped out feel all the surfaces are really hard. This means the acoustics are horrendous. I actually can't bear to be inside if the bar is busy. Luckily there are ample seats outside, so I guess my three visits a week will be curtailed between December & February. I believe it's part of the same chain as Cured etc. Anyhoo....4/5 for me, just the one point docked for the painful acoustics.
